a quick illustration of something that popped into my head. Every time I read/remember about Turtle’s exile from his band of brothers after failing to find Snapper I feel like crying/murdering his brothers. Who does that to a kid who was just doing his best? Anyways, this is his hatchmate sister (who died halfway through incubation) and the other two that were supposedly his fault. I think their spirits would comfort him during his lowest point, before he eventually enchants his forgiveness back.

Umm ummmm arcane and wofb on your timeliness? More accurate than u might thibk..

Working with dreadnought on an arcane inspired animation so I made a few concepts of some of the gang to figure out their core character features, but in less of a joy ang style and more like arcane!

I'm super happy with whiteout since I think she came to me the fastest.. I could just. See her in my big fat head. Fathom and clearsight both had some kinda ugly sketches to start out and then for darkstalker I think he is just TOO pretty. Dread made a really great concept based on mine that feels better honestly, stay tuned for more of this project :)!

A Game of Thrones inspired RainWing! Very elusive, and one of the smallest dragon species known, the largest of which only growing about the size of an elephant. They are found deep inside massive jungles, hidden in the trees with their color shifting scales, and will see you long before you see them. RainWings are the most timid dragons, typically shying away from any humans they come across, and they’re not aggressive unless provoked. Remember, they’re more scared of you than you are of them! A scared RainWing will spit an acid-like venom from their fangs, deadly enough to kill a man in minutes, or leave you horrifically scarred. Due to their smaller size and lack of fire breathing capabilities, they are not much use in war. They can be ridden if you’re determined, but they do not bond to their riders. The few raised in captivity are mainly used as symbols of status and wealth, only owned by the most powerful lords and kings.

This is a piece I've actually been trying to finish for over a year. I haven't attempted a full dragon and background like this in ages so I was under practiced not to mention unmotivated because of my struggles. I let it sit for half a year and thanks to a new brush pack decided to try my hand again. Literally only took me 8 hours max to fix. That's what a fresh perspective can do. Sometimes you gotta wait a bit for the right time to come - something I've seen with both my art and especially my writing.

Speaking of writing.... I will try to iron out the plot soon! If anyone from my wattpad days still thinks I exist XD

Finished Acrea’s ref, I got her from @goosehadfood! I changed her design quite a bit to fit my style,, I hope that’s okay :,33

Her backstory is under the cut! (s/h warning)

Acrea was born into a small, secluded village of fugitive Silkwings who abandoned the Hives. In her childhood, Acrea trained under her mother, Webworm, to become a skilled fighter. She was an incredibly talented stealth attacker, preferring ambush over melee. She was instilled with a deep contempt for the Hivewing ruling class from a young age, and holds that contempt to this day. A few days before Acrea was meant to enter metamorphosis, her village was found and attacked by a Hivewing patrol. Acrea’s mother and the community she had known her whole life were murdered in front of her. She snapped and attacked the Hivewings in a blind rage, getting badly injured but managing to kill them all. She burnt down the remnants of the village and wandered aimlessly into the nearby woods. When her metamorphosis finally happened, she was malnourished and traumatized, which resulted in her wings barely developing past the bud stage. When she exited her cocoon and realized what had happened, she clawed her underdeveloped wings off, leaving only scarred stumps. I’m not sure where I’m going to take her story from this point forward, but I know that she is a solitary, unstable, and very insecure dragon who is prone to violence and fits of anger. I’ll update y’all if I get a concrete idea for where her story is headed!
