HAPPY BIRTHDAY, lovely. Of course, I got a little something for you.

"Sammy, not so loud," Dean grumbles as Sam practices singing Happy Birthday in the kitchen. "If you can sing now, you're a lost cause."

"Dude, I can sing better than you," Sam bites back. "Why all the shushing and secrets? She knows we won’t forget her birthday!”

“You don’t know that” the elder brother tuts. “I prepared everything to give her the perfect birthday. I want to surprise my girl…uh—I mean our girl.”

“Dean, we both know you are head over heels for her,” Sam grins. “Now, what else can I do?” He looks at the cake, snacks, and beverages on the kitchen island. “I already wrapped my gifts too.”

“I got something special for her,” Dean grins. “She will love it. I will make her dinner too. Just for the two of us. So, sorry Sammy. You gotta go to your room tonight and eat alone.”

“If it makes her happy, I gladly leave the bunker for a week,” Sam chuckles as he walks out of the kitchen. “But let me give her the gifts I bought first.”

“Alright,” Dean looks around the library. He decorated the whole room with all the crap he usually hates. Candles, napkins saying happy birthday, garlands, balloons, and of course, a birthday cake with your name on it.

Dean hums. Everything looks perfect. 

“Dean?” you huff. “DEAN! Where are you?” you’re a little angry. Dean sent you to a grocery run, only for you to forget your wallet. “I forgot my money and…”

You walk into the library in search of Dean. “What is…?” you gasp. 

“Happy birthday, sweetheart!” he wraps you in a bear hug, taking your breath away. Dean starts to slow dance with you, making you laugh as he hates to dance. At least he loves to tell you so.

“You did all this for me, Dean?”

“All for my best girl,” he smirks as you lift your head to look him in the eyes. “Sammy helped a little with the garlands. Freaking sasquatch.”

“Thank you,” you sniff. “I thought…”

“Anytime, sweetheart. How about we have a slice of cake and look at all the gifts we got you? Later, we have dinner. Only you and I.”

“…only you and I, Dean,” you smile. Your birthday couldn’t be better. Dean Winchester prepared a birthday party for you. And it’s only you and him…

“Hey! What about us?” Sam calls from the hallways. “Can we all join the surprise party now or not? Is the surprise that we will end up left outside?”

“Do you want to join them?” Dean quirks a brow. “I can send them home.”

“No, let them join,” you take his offered hand. “We have so much cake. It’s enough for everyone…”
