please know:
you deserve comfort and happiness.
you deserve to exist without shame.
you deserve to be surrounded by those who will appreciate and care for you.
you are enough as is. you will only hurt yourself by comparing yourself to others and trying to match their capabilities.
no achievement is too small for praise, celebrate the little victories with pride.
you are not careless or unmotivated; you are doing the best you possibly can.
you may be limited by your health or disability, and that is okay; you do not exist to motivate those with healthy, functioning minds and bodies.
navigating a society that was not made with you in mind is difficult, you are doing amazing!
your mental health is important; seeking help does not make you weak.
mental illness does not define your character; no mental health condition makes you intrinsically evil or malicious.
you do not have to be strong all the time; allow yourself to rest.
don’t bother trying to keep up with unrealistic expectations. do what is best for you.
even if your anxiety is not proportional to the situation, you are not being dramatic.
whatever is stressing you will pass. it may take time and cause you discomfort, but you will pull through.

an unappreciated sentiment. i enjoy being social, but it become a chore when it takes too much of my time and energy. i don’t like the expectations imposed on me. it’s especially difficult as a disabled queer. i imagine the experience is similar for other minorities. navigating social interactions is exhausting as society’s afterthoughts. it take so much more energy. surround yourself with those who share your experiences or make the effort to understand and make you feel appreciated.
take care of yourself and treat yourself with respect, you’re well worth the effort <2

shout out to all those with a chronic case of resting bitch face. you may seem unapproachable, but you’re actually pleasant to be around <2
shout out to those who mask. masking is exhausting. i hope you’re surrounded by those who will appreciate you <2
shout out to those who seem fine outwardly, but are anxious or worried. your worry is real, you are not being dramatic. whatever is stressing you will pass. it may not be right away or comfortable, but you will pull through <2
