"free palestine," he shouted until his last breath. aaron bushnell, we will never forget you.
as much as bushnell's actions has moved us all, please seek other ways to take actionable measures against the injustices we face in the world. none of us wanted him gone, and the least we can do is prevent another such tragedy by supporting each other in our efforts to enact lasting change.

What abilities do the mimes have in their "monster" form? And did its form change when they came to the living plane or did it exist in a certain way in your realm? 030
Puppets are the truest form of a mime-- physically they did not exist until the Fault, but conceptually, abstractly, they existed in their realm for as long as they as sentient beings have existed.
The direct translation of their puppet form going into the physical realm is questioned by some mimes, as size, mass, and physical abilities are not equal between every mime. Size/physicality is something none of them had any concept of before arriving into the physical realm. As such, some puppets are simply less powerful than others.
Some puppets have some truly dangerous abilities, where others are only able to rely on the physical strengths of their puppet, for the most part.
Uppsulka can spin a tough, sticky web, scale walls and ceilings, and her fangs are small but deadly. Because of her size and strength though, it's rare that she's able to keep someone close to her long enough to use them.
Foxglove can manipulate timespace, hypnotize, and numb living beings entirely. Peering into her full eye can send one into a uncontrollable panic. She has little in terms of physical mass, and her puppet floats on default.
Caela can drill and saw through pretty much anything, and emits fire from her grilled mouth and hollow eyes. Her body can contort unnaturally, which isnt really a special ability, but it's pretty good at freaking people out. She is also one of the few who can pull people into her dimension.
PSG can scale walls and ceilings, encourages growth wherever she treads, and brings good weather in her wake. She emits a generally calming aura. Bugs also love her. It's often you'll see things like butterflies or ladybugs around when she is present.
Rede can hide in his box, rendering himself invulnerable to any damage or afflictions that come his way. He has tentacles that accompany him in his box, which he usually uses to pull people into his dimension in his box.
Twiddle can scale heights such as trees or cliffs, he can constrict with deadly force, and he has enough weight and wiggle to cause his own mini earthquakes. A lot of his advantage is just how long he can extend his large body, though.
Chickenstab can pick up incredible speed over long distance, jump considerably high as well, and shits out giant eggs a la Coco from Foster's Home, containing anything he has stored in his voidspace. He can control what objects he pulls from his space when laying.
Holly can pull souls temporarily by gazing into the eyes of another, seperating mind and body. He is not strong enough to keep the soul away for long, however, as its pull to it's body surpasses his stength. He can also use his stinger, which poisons people... with the uncontrollable urge to mimic Holly's movements. Get ready for musicals.
Jarna has multiple replicas of herself from within, the smaller the faster but less powerful. She also has quite the deafening yell, as well as several arms from within that she uses to scale heights when needed. She can pull people into her dimension.
TyV can slip through cracks, hide in plain sight, and even arrange himself into essentially an inescapable room around someone, if he wanted. When his eye goes missing, peering into his empty eye (when his prosthetic is not in) fills one's brain with an immense amount of knowledge that cannot be conceived. How a person reacts to this is unique to them.
Ching can suck blood-- he cannot make use of it, it just gets sent to his voidspace. But his proboscis fully enables blood sucking, and it kills quickly. His scythes deliver devastatingly clean cuts. The discs his body is composed of can move independently from each other a short distance, effectively making him look bigger.
N&O work in a pair, and fight in an offensive:defensive style. They use gags, trickery, and confusion just like they do in their usual forms. No extra abilities. Their only advantages are that they are towering, and can trap people in their dimension.
Calamea's hair functions as a mass of several arms or specialized limbs, usually using it like a whip. She can scale walls and ceilings, and drools a sticky substance that functions as an adhesive. Her presence has an affect on animals around her, turning them slowly rabid. This wears off with distance.
El Ganso's teeth can shred through many different materials, but especially thick thick stocks of a certain sentient plant. He can also lengthen his body via his rope, or use it as a lasso. His bill, when fully closed, functions as a gun.
Atrox can shriek and yelp out truly disorienting sounds, causing mass confusion. His fluffy, plush body absorbs most physical damage. When enraged, he acts much akin to a rabid wolf, taking full advantage of his long snout full of many large and sharp teeth.
Weepy influences the emotion of those around her, can expand her cloudy center and overtake a room/large area, causing the surrounding space to become dull grey and blank, like a hyper-thick fog. In this fog realm, she can manifest whatever she so pleases, and manipulate whatever is within.
Scuppy's puppet is kind of just massive. He does, however, possess the ability to summon a second head, completely unattached to his own body, which he uses to chuck at people. Or he just uses it to amplify his raspy, ear-piercing voice.
Oxaclock plays with chance and fate. He doesn't have much in terms of physical strength, but he can directly persuade the outcome of reality. This can be used in a variety of ways, anywhere from letting him always win a game of cards, to affecting one's speech & mind to force them to lose an argument against him. It's all about winning. His presence brings general unease, and he can also scale walls and ceilings.
Hamburger is a hamburger.

posting your artwork publically can be so rewarding and so motivating but most of the time it just results in psychological turmoil inflicted on yourself
#like oh my god girl help#im so sad and over my confidence to do with my art being paper thin and fragile but nothing changes no matter how much i like a piece#i hate the idea that artists only draw for interaction bc i definitely do not do that id have to be stupid to with the stuff i draw#but i also hate the idea that artists shouldn't want interaction on their work? like it's a very human emotion to want your work to be seen?#i just wish people liked my stuff more truly. im aware my style is specific and to a particular taste and ik that my work isn't the like#high flawless standard of most traditional art that gets posted. like ik that and like god i wish i had that skill level but i don't!!#i like what i do tho i just wish it felt like a lot of other people did idk maybe that's vain or something. I don't know!!#i wish i did digital art but i hate working digital lol#ppl don't believe me when i say that digital art is preferred over traditional online but i rlly believe it's true#and if your traditional art does well it's at the level of digital art flawlessness#im simultaneously like im too young to be crazy good like other people online but also im too old to be on the path to getting good. yk#i blame it on a small fandom sometimes but that's unfair bc art within small fandoms still does really well#idk i think im just a flop probably but also i think im insecure. schrodinger's online artist crisis#anyways sorry ignore this im just running my mouth don't pity reblog my shit or anything i don't want that#idk what i want but it's not that lmao#i think i want to be better at art and i want people to like my art. which i have like minimal control over.#being an artist is fun until the turmoil sets in

hi! so this is related to your ask about dub con :) not necessarily just with dun con scenarios, but what do you think about fanfiction written as a means of healing or coping? and maybe not even on a great or really dark scale, but also as an outlet for fantasy that they know can’t/ shouldn’t happen in real life?
hii !!! this is a really interesting question and a conversation that hasn't had much around this topic so <3 jessay incoming <3
TW discussion of SA
Before I get bogged down overexplaining my feelings on this, I will just very blatantly state that I am very supportive of people writing literally whatever the fuck they want if it is healing for them. far be it from me - or anyone - to police someone else's journey with recovery!
I think that writing (especially writing that is as low-stakes as fanfic) is a wonderful outlet for people to express themselves and also write what feels healing for them. I really just cannot say enough how valid I think that is and that I think people should 100% utilize that outlet.
Now, per writing material like that (ie. rape / CNC / dub-con), I really think people need to understand how imperative tagging and author notes are. Like, if you want to write a fic that is personally healing for you, that's fantastic, but you do need to understand that if you're posting it publicly, you are exposing other people to it. Write rape fetish freely, if you want, who am I to tell you not to? But what you have to do is correctly tag it. And what I've often spoken up negatively about is people who don't tag correctly or even recognize the harm of what they're writing.
Like, what you're talking about in this context is very different from the dub-con fics I'm referencing in my last ask that makes me really uncomfortable. The dub-con that I strongly dislike is very rarely even recognized as being dub-con and is usually people just not understanding what consent even is. And, a lot of the times, fics that tag dub-con really need to be tagging for rape.
Now, if a fic is tagged correctly, have at it! I think it's just important to recognize certain things for what they are and their potentially damaging content. My fear is always that a young reader will consume a rape fic that someone wrote for whatever reason (healing or fetish or otherwise) and incorrectly perceive it as "regular" sex. Like, if you want to write fantasy, please by all means write it!! I enjoy a fantasy as much as the next person!! But, for the sake of consumers, it needs to be labeled as such. And I just really hate the argument people often make that "it's not my responsibility as a writer to tell people what's bad and what's not" like yes... it is? If you are writing content like that, you need to be forthcoming about what it is for the sake of the people you're exposing.
And I will also <3 take this time lol to talk a little bit abt why tenderness is key when engaging with writers :) sure, if someone is writing material that is potentially harmful, please remind them they need to tag for triggers but also please consider why they're writing the things they are and don't automatically start spewing hatred at people or calling them "gross" for certain things for this reason.
I used to write fairly graphic/dark material about rape when I first started writing fanfic because of how cathartic it was for me. Like, I wrote a 50k fic called Will Be (real jess fans wya) that was very explicitly about rape (and included an on-screen rape scene in the story) and, while I would definitely write it differently now in my ~old age~ I did it as best and as sensitively as I could back then (at my ripe and ingenious age of 18), but was still met with a significant amount of pushback/cruelty in response to the subject matter (like <3 hate asks and stuff <3 and a friend of mine even got hate about me which was also, like, a Thing soo <3). And, don't get me wrong, I genuinely understand people's discomfort w/ rape fics especially in regards to rpf but, like, people do need to remember that there is a real person on the other side of those fics and they have their reasons for writing sensitive material. And, receiving commentary on that fic (and on me as a person) was really damaging for 18 yo me lol! And I;ve since taken that fic down due to the ways people were interacting w/ me over it and, now - even though I still write fairly graphic material for myself - I don't feel comfortable sharing it anymore.
I think it's a complex conversation and there's a lot more nuance to it than a lot of people allow - including myself in the past.
In terms of people just writing rape fantasy - which is also different than just writing a story that discusses rape - I think people should freely engage with the material they want to so long as they are safe and educated about it. I only ask that they tag their content appropriately and be capable of engaging in educated, tender conversations about it <3
Like, above all else, people have to remember that fiction does not exist inside of a vacuum. And if you are writing that material, you have to be willing to educate and be educated.
