I know it's like the penultimate day of mermay but--
Guess whose wrist is beginning to get better :))
#call of the abyss#fnaf sun#mermay#sundrop#fnaf sundrop#the injection worked incredibly well!!!!#i FINALLY can use my wrist again!! though i do gotta take it easy still and not go overboard#hence the still very rough sketch#it's all my wrist could take before i needed to take a break - not out of pain but merely because it was growing tired#it's been underutilized and immobilized for so long#it needs to be gradually brought back to shape#could be a while still until it's back to what it was before#but!!! this is still LEAGUES better than what it used to be!!!! it's huge progress!!!!#i don't want to make any promises - i've been on sick leave for a while and who knows how it'll be when i go back to work next week#BUT. if this keeps up i may be able to start writing and drawing for cota again. and maybe there will be an update in the near future :)#fingers crossed that work won't undo the progress of my wrist's recovery

100% have been perusing your climate change masterpost, and understand you're probably swamped so feel free to delete of course. But if you can find the time, is there any kind of hope to give in fighting climate change now? Can we save ourselves against the oncoming steamroll?
You hang in there too. Thanks for finding the hope among everything else. It feels so bad rn but I have to believe it can change. I hope it can.
Yeah actually I do think there is hope.
Things are going to get rough. Things are going to get worse before they get better, both for the climate and for people living in the US (and for people living in lots and lots of other countries that will be affected by the US election results/the ways the climate will worsen as aa result).
I haven't posted about this yet because I didn't want it to come to this, but now that it has, here's something that people have been quietly saying/research has been showing for months:

Renewables, especially solar, are just too powerful to be stopped. They just too much cheaper and too much better, and that's only going to become more true, not less.
Also, I think (and hope) it's actually inevitable that at some point, we'll get to net negative carbon emissions. I think it's like solar: the technology, cost, and planet all make it feel like an inevitable technological trajectory, the same way solar tech is on an exponential trajectory. (IF WE WORK FOR IT, OBVIOUSLY, but also so, so many people ARE working for it, have dedicated their lives to working for it)
I sure fucking hope that's the case, anyway.

It is gonna happen more slowly and shittily than I hoped, but I do think it's going to happen.
And if we can get to net negative emissions in time to save ourselves (which I think we will, the rates of advancement in many of these areas are very impressive), then we'll be able to slowly start to undo and heal lot of the damage.

#pokemon#pokemon ruby and sapphire#hoenn#gen 3#flygon#aquanutart#i made this in the dead of winter a couple of years ago#after wanting for the whole year to enter the tcg illustration contest but i ended up working on something at the last minute as usual#i don't like competition but i enjoy having a reason to draw a pokemon with a lot of other people#i was waking up early before work to keep making progress on it but i thought i wasn't going to make the deadline#and when i had just decided i had done as much as i could and couldn't get it finished#i went out on that cold snowy day and on that day and that day only for some reason my car wouldn't start#we tried starting it with jumper cables but i'm not sure i know how to use them.. anyway i had to call someone and wait for them to come#i had to call in late to work and then i was waiting for two hours. which was just about enough time for me to keep working on this#i was able to submit it seconds before the deadline the next morning#and it's very cool to me that i was able to participate even though i didn't place (i'm actually glad i didn't place)#(because i would rather it go to someone who worked longer on their entry and/or started earlier before the deadline)#(i just wanted to join everyone in drawing a pokemon but i would prefer for it to just be its own thing and not compared to other pokemon)#this is partly why it's cool to me to have the tcg cards from the contest i also entered!#i chose to draw flygon because gen 3 is one of my favorites and i grew up in the desert and always wanted to imagine pokemon running around#that was the last era of my childhood before i moved and had to grow up where everything was new and different#for 12 years overseas i was homesick for this sun#i'm in a snowier place now but i see the sun even in winter so i'm happy!#since drawing this i appreciate and notice flygon a lot more! i always thought trapinch was very cute#i love the scene in twilight wings final episode when flygon is looking around and scanning; it's so cool#and because of this i got very excited to see flygon in the pokearth documentary flying like a dragonfly#i had wanted to imagine it landing a bit like a bug

I've been obsessively playing Fantasy Life i....
I might be a little bit too enamored with the angler hat (thank you for letting me use its appearance on any job i want without losing stats. that's a pro-fun move game. thank you).

Fun fact: In Barbatos's intimacy storyline in Nightbringer he ends up living with Solomon and MC at Cocytus Hall temporarily. Here's a highlight from his 40 intimacy call:
