I think what turns me off about the MCU Spiderman movies is their naming convention. Far from home? No way home? Shut up. He’s the friendly neighborhood Spiderman. Take that out and he’s definitely not Spiderman just as much as randomly making his relationships about Only Mr. Billionaire Tony Stark (when Spidey’s much more grassroots and smart and clever in his own right.)

Don’t get me wrong: I was one of those “newbies” who was curious to see how Ironman and Spiderman interactions would play out since they’re both NYC-based and the superhero community is only so-big (and NYC really is big enough for Several superheroes to call it Their Turf, especially with Super -Powered Baddies running around.) But how it’s executed? I dunno. It feels pretty bungled up—all about Tony in a Spidey movie. (And I like Tony—he’s a byronic atoning hero. I like that genre of characters.)

Honestly. Until it got kinda meandering, Ultimate Spiderman handled it better, I think. Tony’s around, sure. But Spidey still does his own thing with Tony being only an Avengers’ Member of several who cameo and can give advice or step in. (Mostly it’s Nick Fury acting as Spidey’s mentor figure and growing him into Leadership and Responsibility—basically superhero-applications of where Uncle Ben left off. Don’t want JJJ smearing you? Be mindful of property damage, kid, not just human lives. Property damage is the persisting aftermath that continues to affect their lives after you’re gone.)

Anyway.

If Spidey’s not in NYC, he can’t be the “friendly neighborhood spiderman” and therefore not really spiderman ‘cause he’s not at home. (And having older heroes mentoring younger ones is great…but they have to be allowed to GROW, not be relegated to practically sidekicks in their own movies.)

I don't think I've ever been so in love with life! Or with this lady next to me. In the last past weeks, Shalini turned 38, I turned 45, and we celebrated our 5th anniversary. We are both busier than ever with our businesses. She opened her shop, I'm setting up a team and facilitating a growing organization. Little gatherings like the opening of the Ruyterkade Offices, as in the picture, are really nice to feel and celebrate our growth. There was a time when I had a very different (unhealthy) view of myself. Unhealthy ways of thinking led to a very unhealthy lifestyle. But the way I look at myself, and at us, makes me damn proud of the people we choose to become. Choose, for it's a repeated action, every day again! Growth don't stop! When I left school I applied for a government job. I got in at the entry level APS 2 and settled in to my new home in Sydney. Within 18 month I applied for an APS3 temp position in the office next door. It was around the same time I started my communications degree which really helped me in my work. Four months later my temp job was advertised as permanent. I applied but knew I would have some competition as these jobs can get up to 300 applicants. While waiting to find out if I got the job, the bosses wife came into see him. She looked me up and down and asked when I would be moving back to my old office. Shocked I replied ‘I wasn’t aware I was moving back’ Disappointed at how I was informed about not getting the job I went into my supervisor to get feedback on my application. I was told “the boss can’t have a pretty little blonde sitting outside his office” There was no more depth to the feedback on my skills or experience. Just on how I looked. I was appalled at how I had been treated but I was too shy to speak out. This was 15 years ago. If this happened to me today I would have dealt with it very different. Speaking out not only stops people like this getting away with horrific behaviour but it also stops it from happening to someone else. Two months later I applied for an APS4 in a different office and was offered the job instantly. I was treated as an equal and praised for my work ethic and skills. Working with a team who respect you and treat you like a team member is a vital part of your health. Send three names and my muse will tell you who they would seduce, share a drink with, and hit with a frying pan.

From one moment to another the Halforcs freckled face became as hard as stone: “The Sirs name is Joe Brandstone. Don´t you dare to be so respectless towards him and call him by any other than his name. And especially do not call him respectlessly by any other name  when i am around.”She did not needed to add what would happen if one would be respectless to Joe when she was around, her small hand laying around the hilt of her sword as hard as a iron vice was answer and unspoken threat enough. 

For a moment it was just that, Mars silence and her small hand on her swordhilt. She did not wanted to answer this ask, she did not wanted to think of answering this ask. Chewing reculantly on the words like on a tough piece of meat, it  needed a few moments until Mar spoke again through cramped jaws: “Hit This Lady Latida Rommel with a Fryingpan. She seems to have been through worse and can bear it. Also I do not know her well.”

Following was another pause, Mar huffed and her ears started to wriggle up and down in nervousness: “Share a Drink with Lady Haldstan, as she is a potential client I can serve and also a former Innkeeper. A good workingrelationship always starts with a proper drink.”

And then there was a very long pause. Mar stared infront of her as if she tried to burn a hole into the air with the pure intensity of her glare, her jaws were cramped, her ears pinned back like the ears of a snarling dog and with every moment passing the womans face became blacker and blacker until her freckles had vanished on her deep dark blushed face: “…seduce Sir Brandstone since I would never hit him with a fryingpan and  he is so tall that I probably could never go drinking with him for I would lay under the table wasted before he had even finished his first mug.”

Almost panicky she grabbed her hood and pulled it deep down in her face, muttering agonized under her breath :“..I do not even know  how to seduce someone…”
