"No kidding," which wasn't necessarily a bad thing -- Elena wasn't sure that she would want to live in a tropical place after having grown up in Merrock. Sure, it might be nice for a vacation, but she liked having the four seasons and as much as she might complain, she really would end up missing the snow and the blustery wind that came with the winter storms. That was just how things worked. "Somewhere in the woods, I bet," she turned to look in that direction, "if we were on a lake, I'd say follow whatever creek or stream feeds it, but ponds don't typically have those… so we might not have any luck there." Now she wanted to make it her goal to go home and follow Black Creek to see how many waterfalls she could find. "I'd want to stay in Maine. I like my seasons, my snow storms, getting to wear my warm winter coats. What about you?"

"Yup, we're about as tropical as the mountains of Switzerland." Maybe that was a bit of a stretch... but it wasn't really untrue! He grinned. "Imagine if we had tropical weather, we'd be in a very different situation here," he chuckled. "Although, I'm sure somewhere around here or wherever... there might actually be a waterfall?" Bryan smiled at Lena again. "I promise I won't make any mating calls to any bugs or creepy frogs while we're here. Would you prefer to live somewhere more tropical or do you like our weather around here in our area?" he asked curiously. "I'm sure there are a lot more frogs and lizards and bugs in the latter category."

Coffee was coffee, wasn't it? But somehow, holidays happened, and people got creative. Lava cake this, red velvet that, something a little extra sweet -- too sweet -- that they swore you needed if you loved the season of love. Which Jace was not entirely sure about; he liked Valentine's Day just fine, everyone was happy and loved up and in a good mood, but did he want that to extend into his coffee choices...? He wasn't sure about that. Lifting a hand to scratch at his beard, he asked the person next to him, "got any recommendations?"

"Alright, so," Lena clapped her hands together, breaking into a bright, delighted smile as she looked over at Bryan. "This is the part where I give you an early Christmas present, because we can't do any Christmas baking without..." she stepped to the bag on one of the kitchen counters, pulling it open and shaking out an apron, adorned with all sorts of Christmas designs on it. "Christmas baking aprons! I got one for each of us!"

"Okay, but be honest with me," Cage leaned over a little bit where he was sitting, to talk to the person next to him. "When they're racing at each other at full speed like that, stick out, lance pointed at each other," he gestured with his chin towards the jousting stadium laid out in front of them, two knights on white horses, charging at each other from opposite ends, "do you wince because you feel like something's going to go horribly wrong? 'Cuz I do."

"Oh, definitely! Makes food that much better when it tastes good and you know that it's good for you, too." Eating something that was good for you but tasted bad or eating something that was bad for you but tasted good just felt like it defeated the purpose. Nari wanted to feel good about the stuff that she ate, and feel like it served some sort of purpose, too. "I'm guilty of it too sometimes, I'll admit! I'll grab something to drink and then wonder why I'm still thirsty before… oh, yeah, lemonade, that makes sense," she laughed, shaking her head. Sometimes you wanted something extra. As long as you were still drinking water when you were supposed to, that was okay, right? "I'm a tea person, too. Although, honestly, there's not really a lot of drinks that I don't like, and I mean both non-alcoholic and alcoholic," she was one of those people that would try everything at least once, just to say that she did. "Makes sense! It's better than letting food go to waste, you know? And that little bit of kindness might stick with someone, make them want to come back."

"As am I. Bonus points for good, tasty food actually being healthy, right?" Bryan grinned. He liked making tasty food, and sometimes it was hard to really make things healthy and tasty. Still, he did his best. "Exactly. Drink everything else the way they should drink water... then realize they're still thirsty!" he laughed. He liked his sparkling water and adding flavored electrolytes when he was at work. It helped keep his energy up too. "Fruit water is good! I do that sometimes as well. Makes it tasty and still pretty healthy as well. Unlike... those juices and other drinks. Or tea. I do like tea some days," he nodded. "Sometimes! We pack up what's left and slash the prices during the last rush hour and if there's only bits left of inventory for the day, add that into the last few orders. So everyone gets a little something extra. Sometimes I do my math wrong and even at lunch there's a little bonus."

Something something about Will's line "I don't intend Hannibal to be caught a second time," which could mean one of two things: that Will doesn't intend Hannibal to be caught the second time because he will make sure he won't escape the first time around, or, that he would let him escape and then ensure he's never going to be captured again.

It's just so on-brand and such a Will Graham thing to say because as often noted throughout the show, you'd never really figure out what that man is actually going to do.

It’s nuts…” Bryan said, mimicking the gesture of his mind being blown. “And then you find out those stars who you remember being kids or even babies now have babies…” he said. “And then we end up feeling old because those movies don’t feel like they were out that long ago!” He nodded. “Sequels and sequels and remakes. That’s the future of cinema. Do you remember the future in Back to the Future Part 2? There was like Jaws 20 or something in the theater. Kind of glad that hasn’t happened yet… but I was really looking forward to the flying cars.”

i dont remember anyones names so this is gonna sound partly unhinged. okay so the edward norton playwright and jason schwartzman actor (not character, in the black and white parts) are lovers right. tbh i thought this was kind of a gag and forgot about it. but later we find out that the playwright died 6 months into the production. i didnt make the connection that THAT’s why the actor-jason has to suddenly leave the stage and freaks out backstage about how he’s not sure he’s Doing it right. hes not talking about acting!! because he himself is literally grieving his lover while he’s playing a character who’s grieving his wife written by his lover so obviously it’s too much!!! actor-jason is trying to find meaning in his death through his writing but there isnt any meaning in death [gerris drinkwater voice] which is what the play is trying to say anyway. he doesnt think he’s performing grief right even in his own life!!! (and tbh it’s the 50s so he wouldnt be able to perform grief publicly anyway!!!!) the play starts with a car accident… anyone would search for some hidden meaning there, some sign…. so when he talks to margot robbie outside it’s not really about finding the CHARACTER’s motivations it’s about the actor himself being able to process the playwright’s death! and adrien brody director was probably also dealing with that too (him and norton seemed to be good buddies) so the whole “sleeping backstage” thing gets a bit sadder maybe? maybe everyone else got this in the theatre and im just stupid lol but crazy making stuff to me!!! the whole story is about sublimated gay grief that cannot be expressed?!?!

the tweet that caught me onto this was here which posits that the playwright’s death was a suicide but i think that’s pretty stupid and unnecessary because the whole thing about the play asteroid city is that death is random and meaningless. im pretty sure that’s what the alien represents— a shocking and absurd event that isnt outright evil or menacing, not something anyone can predict or make sense of, it’s just a thing that happens to you out of nowhere, it doesnt mean anything. he’s a little black figure, he’s death! giving and taking! aagh

Ryder couldn't help his laugh when Bryan talked about the pizza fiasco, letting his head fall to a thoughtful tilt. "I guess you could have tried to make them a pizza with ingredients that you have there in the restuarant, but it was… not going to turn into the kind of pizza that they wanted." Maybe a chicken and broccoli pizza, but if someone was expecting something with pizza sauce and cheese and popped open that box, he could only imagine the kind of disappointment that they were going to find. "So what happened then, did you talk them into getting something else to eat, or did they just hang up on you and get angry for no reason?"

Bryan loved a good drink. That's why stopping over at Mawk Tales was unusual, but he wanted to expand his palate a bit, especially since he was planning on opening his own food truck. He was in the process of making those plans, and working through all the fine details. He was sipping on his peach-raspberry-guava-lemonade spritzer when he heard Ryder speak up. He grinned and looked over at his friend. "Well, we had someone calling the restaurant trying to order a pizza. I explained ever so politely that we don't serve pizza, but they were adamant about it. So that was a fun conversation."

It stood at the intersection of three streets: William Street, Duane Street, and Chambers Street (all three of which I have highlighted in green in the above map). Originally opened in 1860 as Irving Hall, Irving Place Theatre was rebuilt in 1888 as "Amberg's German Theatre." It became known as the Irving Place Theatre in 1893. [source]

The theatre's address was 118 E. 15th Street and was located between 14th and 15th streets, at the southwest corner of 15th street and Irving Place. Irving Place Theatre was demolished in 1894 to build the Zeckendorf Towers. [source]

The thing is I don’t think there has to be a season 4 of Hannibal, don’t get me wrong I would love it but i have my doubts. With that being said I would LOVE a new sequel show about Will and Hannibal as a married couple, them changing countries so often, coming up with fake identities to role-play as, killing people, harvesting people, cooking people, bringing terror down to communities, causing drama, having marital disputes, being absolute simps for each other and generally being insane.

“ I am so sorry Marry, I am sure they will find your husband soon… Speaking of husbands I gotta go home Hannibal is cooking one of his amazing dinners for us. Oh, actually would you like to come over? You shouldn’t be alone through this tough time.”

I believe Wheeler will only start winning again when he really finds himself. Right now he is deep in the denial stage of grief (look at that sad boi face above). He has wrongly convinced himself the Death Riders are still the Blackpool Combat Club he believed in. He is blindly following Claudio and Jon because that's what he's known for a while now. Only they don't see him as a protege anymore, just their little windup murder doll (his match against Hangman on Collision last night is proof of that). But they aren’t doing the proper maintenance (i.e. supporting him and you know, not forgetting about him as they leave the arena) so the doll is malfunctioning. Hence all his recent losses.

The old Blackpool Combat Club was his home and he started coming into his own with them. Look back at photos of Wheeler during the Bryan era BCC. He was genuinely happy. He was learning and growing and finding his footing. It was something good. Sure the training was brutal (it’s a combat club not a knitting circle) but that BCC showed him how to get back up. They saw something in him and wanted to help him become a better version of himself. And he did.

So now he’s latching on to the remnants of what once gave him direction and purpose. Something that built him up and helped him stand on his own two feet. It’s hard to let that go even when it turns into something toxic. The Death Riders aren’t concerned with making him better. In fact, they need him broken so they can control him. He doesn’t have a purpose outside of being a chess piece in their mind games. But here’s the thing, some of their methods remind him just enough of BCC’s tough love that he can’t see the difference (classic abuser behavior). At least not yet.

I think he will eventually but it’s going to be a journey. He will have to truly grieve the loss of the Blackpool Combat Club and finally let it go. He will have to realize he can take the lessons they taught him and stand on his own. This isn’t a quick fix and I don’t think someone else should “save” him. Much like Hangman’s story arc to the men’s world championship, I think Wheeler will have to do this on his own. It’s going to get messy, he’s going to fail and he’s going to get his heart ripped out by Claudio especially. But (ironically enough) just like Papa Castagnoli said once before:
