Would the Destined One from Black Myth Wukong be that universe's MK?

Possibly!

I've been looking at spoilers and lore for the game, and I had first assumed that The Destined One was meant to be Luzhen! XD

But after looking at the "golden ending" of the game, it seems that the Destined One is very much the Black Myth-verse's "MK"!

The OG Lego MK feeling a little underpowered standing next to his "fellow Monkey King successor!"

The other Sun Wukongs in the extended Wukongverse probably do a small vigil/ceremony in honour of Black Myth's OG Wukong's possible death (game is weird and lore-heavy).

Btw I cant tell if the Macaque Chief boss has six ears or not so someone let me know in case the Destined One ends up with a six eared parental figure, or a sweetheart who's become the LEM's successor.

I want to introduce you to

Sun Yūkuai

the daughter of the great sage equal to heaven

The clothes in which she is in this image is her uniform, she was teleported in the middle of her classes :(

Let's talk a little about her:

She is the daughter of swk as mentioned above, she goes to high school and is 15 years old.

They are a very studious and responsible person, even so, being the child of the famous monkey king, I clearly inherited her way of being so adventurous and how he gets carried away by his emotions sometimes, likes to make friends, explore places and meet new people along the way.

He is a monkey like his father, but she uses magic/glamor to have a human appearance so as not to cause trouble, always try to be as polite as possible with everyone.

He is also gender fluid and often uses magic to change her appearance to what she feels that day, although he also uses any pronouns.

When he first came to the wukongverse, he was lost in the fruit mountain forest. this is why mac and mihou heard something from afar but they weren't sure what it was.She was lost for a while until she saw the house and decided to try her luck, she went there and knocked on the door several times until it was opened.

She didn't really pay much attention to how they looked, she just wanted to know where he was and how he got there. but after entering that house and taking a good look at the people in it...

They all looked almost the same as their father.

and so begins his adventure in the wukongverse.

Extra data:

He is 15 years old

He is an only child, therefore he tends to treat the little ones like his younger siblings.this will happen with liuer and see mk as an older brother figure

She knows how to cook since most of the time she tends to make her own lunches for school

In fact, he has a nanny/babysitter since he was a child since his father was not usually at home or too busy to spend time with her. It was never intentional on his part, he just has a lot of work but he always tries to compensate in some way

tends to call her nanny/babysitter mother by accident as she was the closest thing to a mother figure

They are a very sociable person but they have a fairly small circle of friends, since there are few people with who she really feels comfortable.

In this Au Macaque and wukong they are more like brothers, therefore he would be like his uncle and he really loves him a lot since his father was there when his father couldn't

in fact he has a little cousin who is the son of mac! She also loves him very much, it is her little family and she adores them

It is small and somewhat broken, but it is still the family that they love so much 💕

Without anyone knowing, Sun Rudz hate on being the shortest among the Wukong's. Even Sun Yukūai were taller than her! And the child was just 15y/o while herself are much older, 160y/o and she was married!

I have an idea on how to continue my "not the great sage" au and it involves my other au's and the multiverse.

What i have in mind is that simon (wukong) had broke canon with him retiring from the title, the great sage, and trying to be human. Cause of that his world is bond to met it's doom if not fixed which doesn't happen for centuries till it can no longer hold itself and breaks. Simon escapes by accidentally falling into a portal (?? Idk yet, man) and ending up in a different world (either an au of mine or a show/movie that contains sun wukong or his journey. His journey to fix his world is to become the great sage again but he no wannna. Cause he is actually happy, not with the events of his world but what it was like. He had people that cared, loved, and who he considered family. Simon had a family, not just the monkey's (although, he loves them with all his heart they are #1) but wukong only had fame and fans. (And the monkey's as i said before, #1)

It's basically him having his accept his past but as wukong, makes it very hard

@theweirdhybrid has given me permission to write a fic for their wonderful au where five different Wukong's end up in lmk. here is a sneak peek of said fic!! (hope you like it btw hybrid)

When Wukong awoke the next morning surrounded by many of his little monkeys in a cuddle pile he almost missed the sensations, opting instead to try and catch some more sleep before Mk would come and they would talk a lot of things out. However, in those moments when the sleep he was enjoying so much evaded him that the sensation of power really hit him causing his eyes to shoot open. Panicked he went straight for the relic room where the source of so much power was coming from. 

For a moment Wukong thought it was the relic, that it had somehow activated and now the inhabitants of the mountain would be in trouble. But when the monkey king actually saw what was causing such a spike his train of thought stopped completely, body frozen in place, and mouth agape with something akin to shock and horror painted on his face. Honestly, Wukong had to slap himself just to see if he was still dreaming because on the floor of his relic room were nine figures, five of which were monkeys… 

The first one his eyes scanned over was small, 4’ if that, brown fur covered him, and instantly he noticed that the same clothing that he was given by Guianyin and his master at the beginning of his journey were on him, the yellow tunic, blue tippet, tiger skin wrap that was around his waist, blue pants, and worst of all the fillet around his head. Seeing that thing practically made him sick to his stomach. 

The second was just as short, fur a much lighter almost yellowish colour, he seemed to have on a more armour-oriented garb with the phoenix plums on his head, red-yellow shoulder and thigh guards, an orange tunic, brown pangs, black boots and a green tippet. His appearance greatly reminded him of when he had just received his new wardrobe from the dragon kings after getting his staff. 

The third was tall, like really tall, his fur was a dark reddish-brown and he also wore journey clothing but much fancier, he had on a red kuapao that ended just before his knees it had gold trim and jade green shoulder embroidery, keeping the kuapao closed was the tiger skin wrap and a piece of black fabric tied as a sort of guodu belt, he had a black tunic, black pants and red wrappings around his shins as well as a fillet of his own. Again it made him sick, the memories trying to claw their way up from the depths of his head. 

The fourth one looked Lanky, with long arms, shortish legs, and red fur, honestly his proportions kinda through wukong for a loop. His clothing was ragged at best with a yellow tunic untucked and ripped at the bottom and sleeves, a grey sash keeping it shut, light blue pants, and leather shin guards. The chains around his wrists didn’t escape Wukongs eyes or the bags under his eyes. 

The fifth and final one looked the wildest out of them all, he was likely as tall as the third if not taller, with wild white fur on his head which kinda reminded wukong of a main, and the rest of the fur on his body was a light brown. Though it was kinda hard to see under his hot pink fitted suit, brown dress shoes, bangles, chains, and mask. Honestly, Wukong was kinda doubting this one was even a monkey until he sturred slightly (scaring the shit out of him) and his mask fell from his face revealing it slightly. 

Looking the five over both with and without the golden eyes Wukong was faced with an impossible situation… they were all him. Well definitely different versions of him if it wasn’t apartment by clothing (why would any version of him wear pink??), fur colour, and size. Trying not to have a crisis he turned his attention to the other four bodies in the room. 

One was definitely Liuer Minhuo, from the silver-white fur to the bloody SIX EARS! It was plain as day to see that this one was Mac. it unnerved him slightly, made his heart race and mind cloud with guilt some but he shoved those feelings off as he examined the child next to the lanky him. 

Instantly he could see that the kid was mortal and not that old so he made sure to check for injuries without waking the boy and when he made sure that he had none then Wukong allowed himself to take in his appearance. He had a shaved head, dull, dirty clothing, and seemed to be grasping for lanky him… Wukong moved him closer and watched as the kid curled into the lanky him sighing comfortably and the monkey visibly relaxed as soon as the child felt on him. 

Knowing the boy was taken care of Wukong turned to the young man in red. He could distinctly feel the presence of Nezha on him, he had spiky black hair, a dark red leather jacket, black jeans, brown shin-high boots, and he could even make out the sky ribbon around his arm underneath the jacket sleeve. Clearly, this was a version of Nezha from another world who came with a version of him. That would be interesting… 

Finally, there was the-

“Monkey!!” 

“HOLY FUC-” 

Appearing right in front of his face was the last one, it seemed to be some kind of spirit with immense power. It took the form of what almost seemed to be a peach (yes like the fruit) kinda humanoid being. It had a leaf cape and was actually really cute with its high-pitched voice and wide brown eyes.

Raising his hands he let the little one land on them, “you gave me a real good scare there!” that caused them to laugh at him, once they were calmed down again Wukong asked them; “what's your name?” 

Surprisingly they gave him an answer, “Fruity!”

Spring starts from fragrant peach and plum blossom

my entry for the JTTW discord Wukongverse event! featuring my fav Wukongs in media so far: 1996 Xiyouji, Nezha Reborn, Hero is Back, Demons Strike Back, and of course my own boy!

nothing gives me fuzzy happy feelings like a group of friends watching the evening roll in, talking about everything and nothing at all over some food and maybe drinks. reminds me of childhood family gatherings and lazy afternoons at the college's designated bar. i wanted to capture that somehow with the old Suns enjoying some homely hotpot.

my brain immediately latches onto Dasheng (Hero is Back) for some reason cus theres a bit in the song sequence of HiB where Silly Girl does a very baby-monkey esque move of clinging to his arm and climbing onto his back, and Dasheng just accepts it and carries her for the next scene.

He doesn't even comment or look mad that the baby straight up peed on him. To him it's just another tiresome monkey cub he's caring for.

Smokey (Reborn) does something similar to Fruitie/Qi Energy when they first meet where he offers his hand to them to grab onto. Btw in the first photo, Fruitie is sucking on Smokey's finger like how a unweaned baby monkey do. Also lets appriciate Smokey instinctually catching the baby one-handed when he fell off his shoulder like a monkey parent do.

Strangely enough, Fruitie directly calls Smokey a "stone monkey" after hearing that he was born from a rock. Little guy is pretty smart, probably he knew about them in the past.

Most of my aus is the different Sun Wukongs getting overrun by a baby monkey.

Any Journey to the West AU's or iterations you particularly enjoy/like?

I’m a big fan of the Wukongverse! I would have to say that’s probably the most obvious AU that I really enjoy seeing.

As for other AUs I can’t really say like much considering that either they are very niche or just barely deviating from the original stuff. If anything, I just like seeing other artist interpretations of Xiyouji and what kind of creation come from the imagination from there.

Particularly at the moment I really like any AU with the Supplement or JTTS children and how Wukongs handles being a single dad/being in a found family. Those are probably my biggest comfort.

Dear diary, I am in another world far from home.

Day 1:

It has been a bit confusing, but they have explained the situation to me and I think I can understand it, it seems that I am in another world? universe? idk.

from what I understand they are also trapped and all ... well, the vast majority are versions of my father from other worlds, as far i can undertand. there are also two other versions of uncle mac...it's weird, they are so different but at the same time so alike....I have mixed feelings about this situation :(

they were kind to me since they had been through the same thing and they let me into the house, They call themselves by different names to distinguish themselves from others and not get confused, apparently king is the one who let me pass???...I also saw other people, two humans and something that looks like a fruit fairy.

the little boy is called Liuer, he was very kind and shared his candies with me seeing me so nervous, I really appreciate it. also the other guy named Li Yunxiang helped me to process the situation, they were both very kind. I hope I get along with them!

I heard king talk about a boy named mk?? It seems that he is going to call him to talk about my situation :(...

One of them, who is called Dasheng, approached me a while ago and told me that if I needed anything I would let him know...it's strange, he reminds me of dad but is he much calmer? gentle? he seems to be someone good with children, he reminds me of my nana

I wonder where she is, will she be here? will she still be at home? will they be looking for me? would they have noticed that i disappeared?

they keep deciding who I'll stay with for today, I hope this ends well and I get along with them.

Day 2:

I've been in this place for 2 days, I'm starting to get used to it little by little, in the end they decided that I should sleep in Liuer and Dasheg's room for now since I was more comfortable with them. today when i woke up i got up and went to where everyone was, dasheng gave me a cup of tea for breakfast and liuer told me about what he dreamed at night.

he really has a great imagination.

I try not to bother and help in what I see that they need help, I don't want to be here doing nothing. cleaning, moving things, also help in the kitchen to make breakfast easier! I like coocking (◕ᴗ◕✿).

It seems that they were surprised to see that I was cooking because of my age, isn't that normal? but later they explained to me that really only one of them "cooks" since they are not good at it...I don't mind helping them in the kitchen, I guess I can teach them a thing or two. I'm used to doing it for myself or friends.

I discovered that the little fruit fairy is quite friendly and is usually next to someone they call Sage... I'm afraid to get close but I'll try not to bother him, even though his friend likes to put flowers on my tail, it's cute.

the others like sunny or lucky also talk to me to get to know me, they are like a younger version of dad...it's still weird but I'll get used to it, One of them is Uncle he asked me what I was wearing yesterday and what was in the backpack. I had to explain to him that it was my uniform and in the backpack were my things from school such as books, notebooks, materials, etc.

since I had appeared here going to school :(

He laughed and told me that i was very responsible since before he saw me doing my pending homework, I could be in another universe but I can't leave homework undone since I don't know when I'll be back! ୧( ಠ Д ಠ )୨

I also met Mk today, he is very charismatic, he talks a lot but it doesn't bother me. I like him, he is someone quite friendly and funny.

He told me a little about him, he works in a noodle restaurant and he's also wukong's son in his world! even though he is also his successor, It worries me since being his successor means hard training and many enemies wanting to kill him since he is a mortal... but he seems determined so I will encourage him and help him in any way I can.

After all, I also have my strength and magic, it will not be as powerful as my father or even some version of him but I can help him control it better and how to use it in a good way!

Day 5:

I haven't written here in a while, but it's ok! They were fun days, I was giving cooking classes to everyone. especially Sage, he tries so hard.

I taught them how to make basic foods and desserts, I taught sage how to make a peach cake, for his first try it wasn't bad! He just need practice.

I also talked a little more with everyone and I learned something about their stories, they are so different but they were also similar, It's nice to hear them talk and that they also listen to me, even though my life is not as exciting as theirs. We talked a little about our lives and I told them about my family.

although they seem to be a little concerned about my lack of communication or interaction with my father, but I'll have time to talk to him when he's free or when I return to my universe

I also took advantage of the fact that I was talking about my family and I showed them a photo that I had with my cousin, isn't it adorable? i really miss him (･ัω･ั)...

I also met Mk's friends, they are very nice too! even though they remind me of dad's friends...i wonder why,

in fact i had fun hanging out with them, mk even gave me his number to talk whenever we can! I haven't interacted with so many people in a while, it's exhausting. I even spend more time with Liuer and Yunxiang, it's fun.

before I forget, they said that there is another resident in the house but that she is very shy and silent, I wonder, who is this mysterious person?? I can't wait to meet her!

but ignoring all that, nothing more interesting has happened... I'll keep you posted if anything else happens! see you tomorrow.

Long story short...Sun Rudz has been abused by the Celestial Realm when she was just 10 y/o for one year...

And got killed when the time her parents barged in the prison to rescue her....

Since I'm starting to get back into the swing of things regarding Into The Wukongverse, I'm going back and rewatching some of the movies/shows of the troop and I can't believe I just noticed, after countless rewatches of Hero Is Back, that when Dasheng undergoes his power reawakening moment he gets taller. The motherfucker's proportions become more reasonable, he loses the stubby legs and straight up gains an entire foot and a half in height. I guess the power of "I just watched my child die in front of me and I was seconds too late to save him and the bastard that killed him is still alive and the pure anger and need for revenge broke the shackle keeping my powers contained and now I'm back to my former glory but at a horrible cost" also gave him the power of becoming 7ft tall LMAO

Edit: I JUST REALIZED HE HAS A TAIL IN THE INTRO BUT IT'S NEVER SEEN AGAIN OH MY GOD BUDDHA TOOK HIS TAIL ALONG WITH HIS POWERS AND THEN NEVER GAVE IT BACK GODDAMN
