Fine taste! Torque's admittedly a bit xenophobic to folks who weren't born/hatched on Earth, but she's generally that trope of "prickly attitude to avoid getting hurt from getting close to people."

She has also eaten Canadians before, and has a taste for rats.

Brainrot has taken hold

Well, it's been a hot minute since I last posted here. In the time between now and my last post, I have become obsessed with XCOM, particularly Chimera Squad and all the juicy info it gave us on the aliens. Hell, I even went and got every achievement in the game. In the process of playing through the games, I have grown particularly fond of the vipers because they are Very Gender. (Also, Torque is the best character in Chimera Squad, I will fight anyone who says otherwise.) My brainrot managed to reach critical mass unlike any of my previous brainrots. I've been writing a fanfic set in the XCOM universe, which is unlike anything I've ever done. Fan content is something I usually consume, not create! But here I am, writing despite how unusual it is for me. im dying it's a viable strategy to have Torque "local lethal snake lady soldier with anxiety issues" flick out her tongue and LICK (tongue pull) a possible target to check if they're the right flavor for Slowly Crushing To Death in her Muscular Coils (putting in a bind)

sometimes actual game mechanics are just adorable

XCOM Chimera Squad is fun for multiple reasons but my favorite bit so far is the banter between Verge (a Sectoid) and Torque (a Viper)

“I never thought they’d let an alien on the squad.” “Torque, you’re an alien.” “Nah, I came from a facility in the Arctic. I’m an earthling by definition.” “You have fangs! And venom sacs!” “Some earthlings are just hatched lucky.”

Yeah When Xcom chimera squad came out i would always have torque on my team, her ability to zone out particularly nasty individuals by squeezing them in one turn and spitting poison to groups of enemies the next.

XCOM: Chimera Squad is a half-baked game that is thoroughly copaganda, but it also has a hot snake lady in it so it's impossible to say if it's bad or good.

When the game offered me Torque, I was prepared for another touching, possibly tearjerker, backstory. Turned out hers is basically:

“Hey, I’m bored! Let me out already, so that I can kill people again!”

“Lol, good one, prisoner.”

“I... could kill people... but for you this time?”

“Ah, okay.” *unlocks door* “And off you go. Have fun!”

(I mean, that’s basically how Daniel ended up at the DPD in my sims game - I seem to have a type in this regard. Although Torque is more like Tina, from what I’ve seen so far.)

You should. And also get Chimera Squad. Excellent spin off game, and it has best snek Torque.
