Oh, annnnd the darling miiiight have rejected Manwë’s advances if he already made them. The darling’s too busy having an affair with a married cousin of theirs. (Sorry if this is too specific!)

ଘ Manwë had always been curious about Fëanor, interested even. He had sensed that this Elf could create great things; and his instincts turned out to be correct when he was introduced to a particular young Elf, one of Fëanor's children, one whom he would come to affectionately refer to as his darling in his mind.

ଘ Like their father, his darling was proud and stubborn. Manwë made sure to invite them to visit him and summon them at every opportunity he found, just so he would have an excuse to be near them and hopefully woo them.

ଘ He was subtle at first, all warm smiles and kind words and sprinkling in the occasional compliment and flirty remark, but his darling was never quite as excited about his attention as he would have liked. Assuming they might prefer a more "direct" approach, Manwë began to show his interest more openly and suggested that they should spend time alone, only to be turned down - to his surprise and indignation. Rejecting the Elder King? Inconceivable.

ଘ Naturally, he suspected that someone else might have gotten their hands on his darling first and had his birds and other servants spy on them until a scandalous secret was revealed to him: They had been seeing someone indeed. And it was their married cousin.

ଘ Manwë wondered what he should do. Should he expose the two and then take his darling under his wing during the fallout, setting himself up to be the one person they can turn to? But wouldn't this make them hate him and never wish to be with him? Should he talk to his darling, reveal what he knew and command them to end this affair? Should he blackmail them?

ଘ Yet before Manwë could come to a decision, disaster struck and the Noldor rebelled against the Valar, leaving Valinor under Fëanor's leadership - including his darling. Manwë attempted to reach them via ósanwë, both pleading with them to stay and furiously ordering them to turn back, and when he sent Námo to pronounce the Doom of the Noldor, he also tasked him with delivering a special message for his darling - "Choose wisely whether you wish to follow your father on a path of doom or to turn back and accept my love and mercy".

ଘ Still, his darling was swayed neither by his threats nor his promises and they followed their father and secret lover to Middle-earth.

ଘ Manwë has long since realized that their decision is final, but he hasn't given up. He keeps watching from his throne on Taniquetil, waiting for an opportunity to either save them from peril and be their hero who still loves them even after everything or to send an eagle to steal them away from their family and deliver them to him. Even if neither plan succeeds, he knows that the Doom of the Noldor will follow them until either they die and their fëa makes its way to Mandos or grief weighs down on them so heavily that they might return willingly, so he tells himself it's only a matter of time until he can finally get his hands on his darling and possess them like he always wanted to.

ଘ And another thing that Manwë knows for certain is that once this happens, he will never let them escape again.

Glorfindel and Finrod

Truth be told, I've never given thought to what they'd be like, so this is all just off the top of my head.

Finrod is more conniving and creative of the two. Being a curious individual, he likes to treat you like an exotic specimen; learning all that he can about you. He'd allow you to roam around the place, never escaping. Furthermore, he has the upper hand because who's going to believe you when you tell people their King is yandere? No one bats and eyelash at your ridiculous claims.

With Glorfindel, he uses a lot more physical strategic approach—guarding you at all times in person or bodyguard, needing to know of your whereabouts. Extremely paranoid given his entire awareness of the true evils of this world. He's quick to keep you isolated, only letting you out when you behave well.

He's a King and has an image uphold, that being said, he's using his sweet tongue to coax you into being with him and having his way. A King should be renown for their diplomatic abilities, so his cunning and condescending behaviour becomes colourful. He has eyes on you all the time while pretending that he doesn't just to keep you safe (he later coaxed you into agreeing that you require protection).

Manwë

Manwë isn't all that manipulative, he can still fall short whenever you trick him into believing that you were good. He's somewhere in the middle on a scale of 1–10. Of course, if the situation calls for him be intense, he can.

the benevolent. the kind. these are ways that many would describe the elder king. and oh, he makes sure to remind you of it whenever you try to act up. to keep you with him and reliant on him — him alone.

“where will you go, darling?” he'd croon, curling some of your hair along the crux of his finger as he leans in with his usual smile. the same one you had come to associate with a master of lies, a two-faced deceiver.

“who would believe you? that I could be any of what you claim me to be?” manwë chuckles as he listens to your thrumming heart and pulls you closer, as if to dance. and as his hands and arms draw yours into position, he leans in to press a kiss against the racing pulse of your neck.

“they would all think you mad,” he begins to sway with you. “they would reject you, ridicule you. . .”

he spins and sways with you, until finally he dips you gently. his face above yours, cerulean hues bearing into your eyes as that same, deceptively sweet smile graces his lips whilst he leans closer to your ear. and with a low, honeyed voice, he whispers:

“you'd come running back to me.”

Yandere Irmo will include:

Him dipping into your deepest thoughts and dreams without you even knowing. He will pry into every action, conversation, and meeting before making note of everyone you spoke to during the day.

This "need" to know will start from the beginning of him knowing you. This will continue long after you agree to be with him. Irmo justifies it as him protecting you and your interests.

If you ever learn of his spying on your thoughts and confront him, he will defend himself and insist he only does it for your own good, as you have no idea how much those others could hurt you.

What you don't know is that Irmo has even gone so far as to pry into the thoughts of those you interact with, searching for any crumbs he can find and use to his advantage.

He will take great care to show you the other person’s so-called dangerous thoughts, even fabricating false images after making use of his mastery over visions and dreams. He will then assert that this other other person is indeed harmful to you and convince you, little by little, to push that other person away from you.

"Do you see that, little moth?" He declares after showing you one conjured vision after another. "Do you see all the dark ways they fantasize about you while you carry out your tasks?"

Nothing gives him greater happiness than seeing his efforts have not gone to waste and that you agree with him.

“I am glad you agree with me, little moth,” he coos. “Now will you heed me and stay away from this person?”

Once you have successfully distanced yourself from that other person, Irmo will reward you greatly, especially granting whatever you desire during sex.

Yandere Manwë will include:

Him convincing you that everyone else will hurt and betray you, for he alone is free from evil and cannot comprehend it.

He will go on to insist that as the Elder King, he is duty-bound to protect you from all harm. Manwë will keep you within Ilmarin, confining you to the boundaries of its outer walls when you refuse to listen to him and try to leave.

“Come now, little dove, why do you need to leave me? Is a king not enough?” Manwë would grow glum and forlorn before gesturing to the slender towers and domes of the palace. “Is the magnificence of Ilmarin not enough?”

When you grow insistent on leaving, Manwë changes tactics. He will stop acknowledging you, ignoring you whenever you come upon him walking along paths and corridors, and even going so far as to ply you with guilt whenever you ask why he is doing all of this.

“How can I even look at you when you insist on leaving me,” he would lament. “And after everything I have done for you! Was your regard for me a lie?”

Manwë does not stop at mere words, however. He will find other ways to point out everything you would miss out on if you left him.

One of them would be to put you on a pedestal.

“Will anyone worship you like this little dove? Will anyone else treat you with complete adoration?”

Another way would be to get his attendants to play along.

“The king adores you like no other,” one attendant would say. “He looks at you like no one else exists,” another would say.

His words and actions soon have the desired effect. Manwë welcomes you with open arms when you come to him and declare that you will never leave him and that you are sorry for even thinking of leaving him. The king showers you with attention and riches beyond imagination as a reward.

After two years in the League of Assassins Reader becomes the Bat (18) and the Grayson died at the same time with Dick (12, I advance the clock a lot) when Jason (8) and Tim (6) (they should be more like 6 and 4, but...)

Bats (22), Dick has been known for years as Ric Powers (18), Jason (12), Tim (10). Jason has been Robin for 1 year and has another one at most.

Bats (24), Ric (20), Jason (14) is dead, Tim (12) is Robin.

Tim is the brother who manipulates and tricks everyone to get what he wants. Everyone loves him though.

But if he and Jason say "choose", all run to Jay, nothing personal Timmyboy but they're sure you're going to bitch them in the end, they're bats no brats.

Jay and Tim have big brother energy and when they're all together even Reader gets feeling it in the mix.

Jason loves to read to his brothers, but especially to Reader, he usually looks for moments to be alone so he can get a cuddle time.

Actually Billy refuses to read any other thing that comics and manw/gas because "Jason can read it to me".

Tim has caused half of his brothers to be adopted, so over everything at the end, you touch them and he will burn you.

He's most like a cat too and at times snuggles against the reader simply for annoying his brothers.

Tim treasures Reader attention, each detail matters to him.

Steph is at the same time the most emotionally insecure, and the one who tries to go more than on its own, kinda like normal!Jason.

Reader is the tutor that if there is a good reason, encourages you to hit and break someone's teeth.

Gotham's educational institutions are preventively well founded by Wayne.

Everyone at Wayne Entrerprises who gets along with Reader gives them parenting advice and warns them of puberty and other horrors like it wasn't less than 15 years ago for them (not to mention, living it twice)

Still playing with superpowers and weapons. Specially Paintball, the family bonding sport. Madness incarnate. Kryptonite, bombs, thunders, roots and roses, everything is allowed... actually Reader said "no go hero/villain in this, normal people paintball plz" nobody listened, it's funnier so.

The gang even uses paintball to train their teams much to their dismay because is not training, IT'S SPARTA!!!

Alfred is suppa happy, specially because Reader was a lonely child before become "the mad person with the bat onesie"

As a matter of fact someone gift one to Reader, gender/sex doesn't matter, a bat onesie, yes, wings under arms included.

Opening gifts is long and stressful, because everyone looks at Reader and wants their gift to be the first and until they open theirs, as the Head of the House no one touches their owns.

So fucking much birthday parties they are content to meet for dinner, having bribed some hero to take care of Gotham for them and eat well.

The house is always with an unexpected guest, there is no silence in this house. It's full of life.

Workouts/training sesions sometimes turn into tournaments if everyone decides to participate.

Even those who have their own house sleep there at least once a week. Each one have an assigned bedroom.

Harley's hair, when she feels like dyed its, it is black and red (Ivy + Bats)

Most Gothamites are disperse between shipping Y/N Wayne with Tim (legal or not...) and Y/N Wayne & Ric Powers. You can know half of the membership of the Court of Owls, depending on who ships who.

But they ship Bats with their knight aka Jason aka Hood, HoodedKnight, BatKnight... the Knight to the Royal/Ruler.

...When not ships Bats with Harley, #BatHarFever4Ever, that's its (Harley, stops the graffitis, you're a grown momma)

Reader has blacklisted all above ship shits (but Harley, Selina and Stephanie keeps her up-to-date)

Reader has location chips on their body, the codes of which only Alfred knows. The rest only know the codes of the suits. Tim suspects their existence but has no proofs. However, when Bats disappears, Ric/Talon is the FIRST to know it.

He doesn't go crazy. He gives you room to act. But if you're slow to show any signs of life, he starts setting off Wayne Manor's alarms as Talon as "indirect" and harassing as Ric not so swiftly. Talon is the fucking owl that hoots in your window giving you a fricking heart attack at 3:33 in the morning... 03:47 or 08:47 or even 13:47 and 18:47 (0B:AT, B:AT)

Wayne's secret weapon against Ric Powers. A day date at a public time and place/s of his choice. Not seriously. They had a conversation about it. It was fleeting, at a dance. "If I ever need a favor..." "I want you".

This is a thing, in case of having disappeared and there is an emergency and they need Ric support, Kate, Stephanie and Billy have to agree to ask Ric for a date on behalf of Bats and it has to be voiced by Steph (it's stipulated too). Why them? Who knows.

Because they may or may not know that Ric/Dick is Talon, but that if he takes their side, no one will notice the lack of Y/N Wayne is a fact.

That's because among all Batfam plus the Sirens and, surprise surprise, Thalia Al Ghul (if Bats is a woman); they can cover the absence of Gotham's Night Ruler.

Everyone knows that Talon Beta (Ric), doesn't meet 100% his quest rate just because he likes to play with the bat.

And the Court is beginning to understand that perhaps it is better to give that Talon some leeway, for their own safety... and especially now that Talon Alpha (gramps) has been in Arkham for years and there are rumors that someone is planning to kill him.

The relationship between Reader and Ric is strange, hero x villain, the kind that makes the poor reader's mouth go dry at the thought of being alone with Powers, but weirdly harmonious.

Talon! Dick, like O!Damian, is in love with your eyes, but he just wants them to look at him, either you see Talon, you see Ric or god don't grant him, you see Dick aka the orphan boy from the circus kinda a robin grown to man, raised by owls to be an owl, one in love with a bat.

... After the disappearance of the circus, Bats took care of the morons (although there was no point) Dick found out this. And he stalks Reader ever since. That's why he quickly discovered their identity. They only earned him more respect and affection. Specially because no "no kill" Batman original rule.

As I said, Jason fell into the yandere side of the force as soon as Bats delivered the final blow in the remains of what was the Joker.

After all, before that, you left him, you and Alfred, you taught him, that although life is precious, if you have to finish it (hopefully not), it is done quickly. And what you did was not quick, nor clean, nor pretty. And this Jason might have gotten a bit of tears!kink after watching the recordings of your face broken in pain for HiM.

In his defense, not all tears are of pain or sadness, there are also tears of joy and he's proud to be able to get you cry the latter as well.

Better than anyone but Alfred. Because the most experienced sass cannot be beaten.

But at the same time he likes to see you full of life, fighting, dreaming, crying, laughing, hating or loving. Every part of you is beautiful in your humanity. What the Joker did to his body doesn't compare to the mess you do to his heart. His head is a mess because you.

This also makes him more paranoid however, he would prefer, (and behind your back nothing tells you that the Batfam is not exactly doing that since he is the Superman of Tim's Batman) kill everyone who poses a danger to you. And, white fence dream then.

His best moments with you are being cuddled up and although he doesn't like that you feel pain, if it's what it takes for you to seek the comfort of his arms "... just come with me".

Tim Wayne spiritual animal is a dragon. And you're his noble person to keep and treasure. His, his, his, his, his, his.

This Tim was never harmed by the Joker but he was the one who could become a second him, in the sense that he is as sick of Bat's love and attention as Joker was. He simply claims that affection differently. And has no a psycothic smile laught, thank you.

He is clever, and has watched Bats for a long time, before even turning into Robin, before even the bat has worn the cape.

Oh, and if Reader is a girl, the position of "successor to Ra's Al Ghul" doesn't go to Bats but to him, 200%. Damn machist, Thalia Rules!

Fortunately, Tim is the guy who appreciates every second with Bats as one sips a good wine. And conformist. If not, Bats would be doomed.

Mostly because Tim understands Bats, and this Tim has no doubts about Wayne's affection for him, even though it may not be romantic... yet. I just notice maybe everyone in verse likes Bats because it's soft Dick

He waited to be by the bat's side... and became Robin so is all patience, patience, stalking, stalking. He will get what he wants step by step. Your-Attention. Your-Mind. Your-Heart.

Until then, if what you want is a family, he will build it for you with the best mistfits that society offers to protect you. A safe city? or a dungeon to give you adrenaline? Just think about that.

You don't even need to say it out loud if you don't want to, don't be ashamed of what you call dark desires, you are perfect and you deserve everything. And nothing is wrong, dark or twisted if it comes out of you.

Except Mairon dearest is sentient, and does not wholly approve of the way he’s being kept and used like some kind of treasure or magical weapon. Eru never intended for him to gain true sentience, he was supposed to be more like a very low-level spirit, conscious enough to seek safety and have a sense of self-preservation, which was to be a method of protecting the Flame if anything happened, but not so much as to make decisions or be self aware. (Or maybe Eru knew exactly what would happen but did it anyway and didn’t tell the Valar because he’s a bitch)

Anyway the Valar, being single-mindedly devoted to Eru refuse to believe anything other than what he told them, so despite Mairon very clearly indicating that he’s an intelligent being that requires enrichment and they can’t just keep him locked up all day, they figure that it’s Melkor somehow messing with them because Eru told them that this thing wouldn’t be conscious and Eru is never wrong, right? (Also possibly a chance for some yandere Manwe stuff here,,, I love it when he’s a himbo but a more creepy Manwe would also be really interesting, not to mention another way to make Mairon suffer because I love angst)

Melkor is still obsessed with getting the Flame Imperishable for himself, but he doesn’t yet know of the whole “Oh no he’s alive” situation, so he tries to break into the Ilmarin where Mairon is kept to get at him, but when he does he finds that the Flame Imperishable is more than willing to come with him and is also sentient.

Manwe almost stumbles on them before they can break out, but Mairon tells Melkor to go because they won’t win against all the Valar and if Melkor goes now no one will be suspicious which will make any future attempts easier, Melkor is like ‘damn this thing that I thought was just some wacky fire is smarter than me’ but gets out before he can be seen.

Mairon tries to escape a couple more times, sometimes on his own, sometimes with Melkor (most notably the time when Melkor tried to beat up all the Valar and got captured for a good couple yèn), all unsuccessfully. 

Eventually Mairon decides that this is never going to work, so he asks Melkor to take all his essence and power for himself. This way he wont have to be stuck here forever, and Melkor will finally have the power to truly create. This does mean that he’s basically going to die though, but at this point they’re pretty hopeless and Melkor reluctantly agrees, and so takes all of the Flame Imperishable’s power for himself. Now he can finally create his own worlds as he wishes. He doesn’t need to rely on Arda anymore, so he disappears off into space with his followers.

The Valar find Mairon’s body and realize that Eru’s precious gift is gone, and there’s nothing they can do about it. So Arda slowly withers and dies. In the end even Melkor wonders whether losing both an entire world and Mairon was worth creating his own world, which truly only ended up being a cheap copy of Arda, and maybe Eru had intended things to happen this way after all, because the guilt he felt was worse than any other punishment that they could have given him.

ଘ The key thing about Yandere!Manwë is that everything is insidious. Everyone, including himself, believes that he is nothing but pure and good, so you yourself may question your own feelings time and time again - Are you the one who is in the wrong? Doesn't the Elder King in his divine wisdom indeed know better than you? Are you merely paranoid? Are you going against Eru's will if you even think about resisting him?

ଘ However, to even arrive at a point where you sense that something may be wrong, you have to escape Manwë's web, an illusion of perfect romance and companionship. With his skills as a poet, writer and singer, he does his best to woo you and pull wool over your eyes while he continues to draw you in.

ଘ You find yourself in an enviable position, with the Elder King himself doting on you and showering you with kindness, affection, attention and even special favors - whatever you desire, you may have it. Though there may be a price to pay, just a tiny thing he so very nicely asks for in return...

ଘ Once Manwë's interest in you slowly morphs into obsession, you're never alone. Even when you think no one is nearby, he either keeps his own eyes on you from his throne on Taniquetil or sends his bird servants to spy on you. Everything you do, everything you say, all is reported back to him.

ଘ Whether you resist or reject him doesn't matter. Manwë is used to (almost) everyone loving and adoring him, so why don't you? He immediately concludes that something must have corrupted you and of course he will be there to help out a poor little thing like yourself who can't free themselves from their "evil thoughts" without his "help".

ଘ Being a palace on top of a tall mountain, Ilmarin is the perfect place to "keep his darling safe". A golden cage, if you will. You enjoy a life of luxury and have no chance of leaving or escaping so Manwë can watch you and have access to you whenever he wishes. You may not even recall at which point he figuratively plucked you, his favorite little bird, out of the air and clipped your wings to make you his pet.

How would Yandere Manwe treat a rival (Mairon) that’s competing with him for his darling’s love?

CW: threats of physical harm, jealousy, possessive, yandere behaviour

It would be no different from how Manwë's avian side would reaction to a potential suitor, but with a little more hostility and aggression.

It would be folly of Mairon to even go around someone who's a Vala's darling—as I keep saying, it's a trip to the Timeless Halls. He's literally asking to be dealt with extremely harsh, and should he prove to be a persistent threat, one of two things can occur:

Either the Vala decides to approach him with meaningful threats which will result in physical harm or the Vala of choice grows more paranoid and possessive, keeping you completely hidden from Mairon's reach and sight. Either way, Mairon would be dealt with harshly.

love the idea of a human darling that manwë takes immense interest in. like, we all know he’d be quick to pull some manipulation on you (ofc he has every power to do whatever, but others are so easy to deceive that he won’t have to resort to any means that might hurt anyone). “no one would believe you,” manwë would remind you of this 24/7. why would he, the greatest ainur take interest on a lowly human? what are you going to do, tell others that manwë has been following you? why would anyone believe you? tell everyone that manwë has been tormenting you? yeah, right. why would manwë even waste his time on a person like you? slowly and surely, at some point, human darling would def start believing they’re losing their sanity and this isn’t at all real. i think, manwë will take advantage on this vulnerability. humans might have the gift of mortality, but they are oh so easily breakable.

he finds it almost amusing, the way that you try to ramble to your loved ones about how manwë, the lord of arda, is following you around. how they find you absolutely delusional. and when you return? he awaits you back home. taking you into his arms and calling you his poor little dove, "are they ill-treating you again?" "did they call you delusional again?" "oh my darling I'm so sorry. . . I would never do that to you, I love you."

and when you try to push him away? he merely smiles. strokes some of your hair behind your ear and whispers for you to behave. after all, should he leave you here in a bloody heap, your loved ones would not chalk it up to anyone. no, they'd simply think you're at your tricks again.

he would continuously drill that fact through your head. reminding you over and over that you truly did only have him. if you lose your mind in the process, that's all the better. it means he can sweep you away and keep you to himself. his poor little mortal, so pliable and reliant on him. and only him.

Congratulations, My Precious... You reacted with emotions... 

So I got very inspired by @ttrtru‘s Yandere Manwe being an absolute creep and obsessing over Mairon. Here the remains of the Maia’s once fiery spirit are held captive somewhere in 4th Age Valinor (mainly so he doesn’t harm himself out of humiliation, as he’s too weak to cause any danger). In order to break him and fit him back into his society, Manwe uses the most vicious trick possible - and shapeshifts into his long gone brother. Unfortunately for Mairon, it worked brilliantly.

Originally Mairon was fighting back with words a bit more. 

More thoughts.

From Mairon’s POV, he has lost power here because: 1.) if what Manwe was saying was true, there is no sense going to her for help since she’d just be on Manwe’s side 2.) even if what Manwe’s saying was not true, Mairon is still bound by Manwe’s words since Manwe’s the stronger of the two ainur and Mairon is not able to truly believe it as being untrue. (and also the other reason why he would not able to ask for help from the other Valar since they’d all look like enemy to Mairon)

If Manwe was a maia that were weaker than Mairon, he would have able to think much more logically but he’s not able to because he’s opposed by a Valar.  Logically thinking its obviously a bluff but Mairon’s not able to ignore it.

Also, I think Melkor did bind Mairon with words like Manwe here, and took control over his actions and ultimately Mairon’s fate of being Melkor 2.
