A small question.

You've shared some art today from a japanese blankshipper and a few pieces got me thinking.

I've seen a few artists that depict Ingo/Nobori having lost his arms and legs with Emmet/Kudari taking care of him... is this some trope I'm not aware of or is this a thing japanese fans think is "hot"?

I'm just curious as I've seen it a few times with different artists and was wondering if its just for the heck of it or something with a "deeper meaning" (quotations not derogatory more in a sense of "is this something I should know" or not)

I actually saw a Japanese artist do amputation fetish before Western artists when I first got into this fandom. The Western Artists made it look ugly -which it is.....there's no way around it- but Western artists tend to make everything ugly.

Side note: First thing that popped up on Twitter this morning on the Geten tag was some gross transgender fkn furry made Geten look ugly af, -like they accentuated his weak chin and gave him gross legs- and I'm guessing it's a way to do a realistic depiction of a girl trying to look like a guy. Usually they're grotesquely obese, but the little guy is the outlier. Extra points for the gross Elmer Fudd hitting on him (probably thinking it's a her). WHY!? Only Western artists do that shit. You never see Asian artists taking a cute character and going out their way to make him/her uglier. They have a way of taking something awkward and making it beautiful. IE: There are some masterful renditions of Chandelure Ingo/Galvantula Emmet.

Anyway, the first Japanese artist I've seen do this was on the Submas Yaoi tag on Pixiv. They did a whole-ass amputation comic. The artwork was beautiful.

Without taking the time to do an awkward Google lens translation, (I did do one, and it was mostly Emmet mumbling in an insane way) I'd guess that particular one is a bdsm theme. It starts with Emmet waking up from a dream grinding his teeth and believing he's still in the dream. He eventually anesthetizes a sleeping Ingo, cuts off his arm, then later feeds them both the meat from it. Armless Ingo appears okay with it, and he embraces Emmet in his sleep. Are we supposed to assume this was something that happened in the past, and Emmet is reliving it in his dreams? IDK because it made me queasy in my stomach, so I won't bother translating it.

-So my assumption is that with both Western and Japanese artists it's one parts bdsm and one parts that yandere fantasy where a person holds their partner prisoner 'for their own safety' while telling them they will see to their every need. Allowing someone to take one prisoner and have so much power over one they can amputate appendages is the ultimate form of submission (and I'd assume some sort of mental illness is at play).

Since the Train Twins are assumed to be autistic with Ingo being the higher functioning twin, it could also be an abuse fantasy. Depending on how much agency they both have, one or both might be fit to be committed, and Emmet might deserve to be locked up in an Institution for the Criminally Insane.

“You know I need to do this.” You struggled against your chains.

“What?” You shouted, “You need to chain me to the wall like you did to her?”

“I shouldn’t have to say it again. You went against orders.” He said, too calmly.

“Orders? Really? Why should I have to take orders from you?”

“Because you keep betraying me. Last night was the end of what I was going to take of your disobedience.”

You barely remembered last night. You had finally found out about his plan to turn everyone into Elmer’s. All this time helping him with supplies, giving him encouragement, taking care of Bryce when he couldn’t stand to see her. You did all that just so he wouldn’t feel isolated.

When you found out that Bryce was an integral part to the plan and not just some torture subject you tried to let her out. One of the Elmer’s caught you and you were knocked out.

All you remembered was the feeling of irritation. The feeling of uselessness. In fact you had many feelings, all resurfacing at once.

“You want the entire world to look like you! Just so you can be noticed! Don’t you realize how stupid that sounds?” You struggled again. Tears welled up in your eyes then fell down your cheeks.

Elmer stayed silent, choosing to just stare at you.

“What about all the other people in the world! The ones that feel exactly like you do.” You became quieter. “Think about those who actually care for you.”

Elmer sighed. “I knew you wouldn’t understand.”

As soon as the conversation started it had ended as another Elmer walked in. He told the eldest Elmer about some thug at the door with an Elmer in a phone. The eldest Elmer smiled. He gave you one last look before he was gone.

All you could do was hope that soon it would be the end. Of what, you didn’t know.

A.N. – Bugs is not the most aggressive of the Looney Tunes cast, but he is one of the smoother.

Platonic:

Unlike many other Tunes, Bugs does not feel threatened by the idea of his friend enjoying the company of someone besides himself. He is confident in his standing as the most impressive person in their life, although this claim is tacit and limited to the expectation that they will sacrifice others for the sake of gratifying his whims. Bugs lacks the need to control most aspects of their schedule, but he insists that they cater to his wants as opposed to their own.

A lifetime of stardom and triumph over those who challenge his prominence in the entertainment industry, such as Daffy and Elmer, has given him a swollen ego. This confidence allows him to ascertain the vulnerabilities and flaws of those around him, be they friend or foe, and exploit them for personal gain. Bugs's ability to do this, alongside his unparalleled speed, instils in him the belief that his actions are above consequence.

Romantic:

Bugs likes to convey the illusion of freedom, but his behaviour has a string of premeditated goals that steer his partner into a specific thought process or course of action. Whether it sews distrust among their companions or distorts their perception of their ability to function independently of him, every move in the courtship is self-serving. He leaves the exact nature of the relationship ambiguous to keep a degree of superiority over his partner, alternating between moments of affection and distance.

The damage resistance inherent to all Tunes contributes to his perversion of morality, and his fluency in social affairs enables him to play with the emotions of his partner. Bugs promises his loyalty while maintaining a healthy awareness of his desires and preferences, never consciously acting in a way that might undermine his interests. He projects a falsely perfect image of himself that, in addition to highlighting his lack of baggage, guarantees comfort and minimal drama.

Callan x f!reader where the reader isn't afraid of any of the gore and creepy stuff like blood that he is sometimes covered in. For some reason, she never seems to be afraid of anything. Until all hell breaks loose when she sees a spider...

Thank you so much for the request! Aaand as the first, I just thought it’d be appropriate to draw Callan as a thank you. I kinda went overboard with this request, but hey! First one, so its gotta be super special.

TW: Spiders, Basically torture(?), punishment

You squirmed under Callan, overwhelmed with sudden fear as he hovered above you, his breath fanning over your face. 

“[Y/n], You were ignoring me earlier... That really hurts my feelings, you know?”

At that moment, you couldn’t give a damn about Callan’s feelings, but as you opened your mouth to ask him why he had you beneath him, the words refused to come out. His eyes held a more animalistic look as they stared intently down at you, the smile playing on his lips more lively than the more relaxed one he often wore. Fear and confusion toyed with your thoughts until eventually it overwhelmed you, forcing your body to unwillingly freeze beneath his. You were undeniably scared of Callan, but what scared you even more was the silence.

Like a tiny animal in the clutch of its predator, you were pinned beneath Callan, one of his hands pinning your wrists above your head while the other was placed on your midriff, the ends of his hair grazing your cheeks as he hunched over you. 

“When you saw me that night, that wasn’t a prank on you, at all.” 

You were confused by his sudden confession, but as his finger tips played with the ends of your shirt, the memory he reminisced about came crawling to you.

“T-the blood...?”

“What’s with your stutter? I thought you weren’t scared of blood.” Whether he intended on directly quoting you from that night or not, he teased you, only making your feel heated from his sudden change of attitude. The sudden confession only seemed more unreal from its abruptness. 

“I’m not scared from that, but I’d really like to know why you’re in my room.” Out of the millions of questions you wanted to throw at Callan right here and then, you chose the most sensible one, and waited patiently for his answer. His weight shifted and you could feel yourself sink further into the bed, Callan revealing a small key, the silver glinting in his grasp. The key did not look like a direct clone of yours, with a strange pattern engraved into its form.

“I have a key that can open anyones room, you know.”

“...What? Why?” You breathed out, becoming more and more confused. 

“Everything I’m telling you is real. But right now I want to teach you a lesson before explainin’ anything else.”

Callan pulled your shirt up suddenly, making you squirm again, but because he was a lot bigger and heavier in mass, he managed to keep you still enough as he straddled you. You were in distress as he exposed you, and it only grew from the anticipation of what was about to come. You shut your eyes, taking in a deep breath, letting it out, then taking in another. You needed to stay calm, remembering that he practically ate up all your fear, and he’d only want more if you reacted to him.

“Don’t you dare shut your eyes.” His words were more of a command than a warning, making you force your eyes open as something was placed onto your bare stomach. Your breath hitched as you recognised it, ‘it’ being the same spider that had made you jump into his arms the other night. The arachnid immediately began crawling on your bare skin with its spindly legs, making its way upwards in an elegant fashion. It was torture, having the spider crawl against your bare skin so slowly, making a beeline towards your face in slow motion like you were its prey. It felt as if Callan really was the spider, controlling it to stay on you for as long as possible. For some reason you couldn’t turn away from the sight, but you assumed Callan would find a way to force you to stare anyway if you tried. As it got closer the tears in your eyes overwhelmed your focus, the spider becoming a blob as your vision blurred.

You couldn’t take it anymore and shut your eyes as it was a hairs length from your face, your eyes still shut as something warm made contact with your skin, which was undeniably Callan’s hand as he scooped the spider off of you with a light chuckle.

Your eyes remained shut as he shifted again, presumably putting the spider away where he had it, and for what felt like forever the room was filled with your uncontrollable sobs. Like the spider, Callan’s finger tips placed themselves one in front of the other, tracing the spiders steps. For a while the both of you stayed like that, until he finally disappeared without a trace, like everything was just a bad dream.

Yandere type: Manipulative and Sadistic

Role: Creator!

Personality: Callan is a friendly guy, always treating everyone as if they’ve been friends for years. This however is just one of his many ways of trying to coax whoever he wants into his trap of a cult, and once they’re stuck, he’ll make sure they can never leave. He’s quite the manipulator, always analysing, always lying to people, using his friendliness as a mask. He doesn’t particularly care for others, only seeing people for how they can be used to his benefit, whether it be money, sex, work, practically anything but who they are as a person. He doesn’t mind hurting others, in fact, he throroughly enjoys it. Any harm suffered is that persons fault, and he lives by that.

August Yang

A dedicated contributor to Oasis, he’s nicknamed matchmaker by his coworkers. His sister, Jade, is a member too.

Age: 20

Pronouns: He/him

Height: 5’6

Yandere type: Possesive & delusional

Role: Essentially the ‘matchmaker’. He analyses new members personal information and matches them up with one of many personal coaches that were trained to manipulate the new members.

Personality: Harsh and easily irritable, Callan calls him nothing short of a hard worker. If August is not working, he’s sleeping, and if he’s doing neither, he’s brewing up his third coffee for the day. He is dedicated, believing if he works hard enough all of it will come back to him later through karma, whether it be tomorrow or in the next life. He’s locked himself in his room constantly as he prefers the silence, but every now and then it gets really lonely, despite his distaste for anyone other than Callan. His older sister, Jade, tries to pry him out of his room every now and then.

Role: A devoted member and younger sister of August.

Personality: Jade constantly finds herself daydreaming. Whether she’s by herself or surrounded by others, she’s always thinking, always picking away at the little things she’s done in the past, and how she could have bettered herself. She’s always lingering on the smallest of mistakes, feeling immensely guilty despite having no reason to. She’s a comfort to many because of her pleasant personality, finding herself comforting others, cooing sweet things to them, letting them unfold themselves and show their vulnerability to her, but she’s never got the same in return. She feels empty, like somethings missing, so she busies herself by working with others and offering her comfort. Despite being a comfort to many, her younger brother is the only one that refuses it, instead working him to death for her, making Jade feel useless because he won’t let her give anything back in return. One day, she hopes to fill that emptiness and find her own comfort, as well as her younger brothers.

Jackie Ocampo

Role: A member that joined since the start of Oasis.

Personality: Jackie is a cold woman, who finds it hard to communicate with others due to her harsh past. She’s always getting things done, always responding to others with little to no words, never talking unless spoken to. She’s distant to everyone save for Callan. She doesn’t really know what to do with herself, trying to rid of her past habits by approaching everything head on. In reality she’s scared, really scared, of losing someone she holds dear. So what’s better than to have no one so it can never happen? This just backfires however as she craves attention even more. She desperately wants someone to hold her, reassure her, to love her, but once she receives any amount of attention she feels overwhelmed and wants to hide.
