By the time Jungwon had reached the familiar door to your shared apartment, he could barely feel his arms from the weight of the backpack he had carried, as though the entire day’s mistreatment was packed in that small vessel. If that wasn’t enough, his back hurt from the excessive dance practice, where even Ni-ki looked fatigued from exhaustion due to the demands of their concert a month later. That coupled with how his entire day went wrong didn’t help him. From burning his fingers while trying to make simple pancakes to packing your sports shoes for his practice which- being two sizes too small- didn’t fit him well. Did he still use them? Yes because he didn’t want to hear anything from the choreographer nor waste time looking for another pair, even if it made his ankles hurt. Did his day also get worse when a bird decided his shirt would be the perfect urinal while he was waiting for a cab back home; after his manager left early to drop the others to the dorm while he had to stay in the longest meeting of his life, discussing concert plans that he knew weren’t feasible? Yes, and he quite literally and metaphorically felt like shit.
He had already had two weeks of longer days, with his schedule extending beyond what he was used to, longer than the most arduous of comeback preparations. So far, he was just grateful that he hadn’t collapsed from fatigue and that the worst he felt was due to a few minor aches in his body. But today? Today he truly embodied exhaustion, from the physical aches getting exponentially worse, to his mental capacity being drained. Unlike before, he didn’t even have the energy to pretend like his usually stoic self, his head both empty yet throbbing with the entire day’s happenings, affecting his mental peace. He reaches out a fragile finger to ring the doorbell, taking him longer to press it. He leans his head against the door, from where he can hear your footsteps coming closer, and he tries to smile for you, a tiny one settling on his dehydrated lips. You swing the door open, to which he stumbles a little, but gathers himself placing his backpack on the floor, the temporary weight off of him.
You close the door behind him, and see him lean against the wall, removing his shoes with heavy steps, not even bending down. You take in his detached presence, a frown settling on your face, your previous excitement sinking. Jungwon seems to sense this in your disappointed eyes. “Babe it’s movie night,” your exasperated voice brings him out of his thoughts, “you promised you’d buy popcorn from the store?” you ask him, looking down at his empty hands.
You see him take in a deep breath, his hands clenched into fists before he stretches them out. “Let’s do it another day,” he whispers emotionless, pushing past you as he heads towards the bathroom. You’re stunned by this, as despite the increasing distance between the two of you, he’d volunteered to at least continue with movie nights. At first you’d assumed the distance was because of work, like it always was, but unlike before, Jungwon didn’t come ranting back to you about what went wrong, instead he’d silently wash up and go to bed, no goodnights whispered, no kisses bestowed. It was almost like he didn’t love you anymore. You did consider the fact that you might be overthinking it all, but you’d heard of the 'three year rule', the exact stage you were with him at right now. It was hard keeping such insecurities aside when he barely communicated with you.
Him volunteering to make time for you through tonight’s movie night was what eventually broke you away from those thoughts, and you started bubbling with enthusiasm, looking forward to today after an entire week of planning. If after so many days, he couldn’t even care about popcorn, of course you’d feel as hurt as you currently do. Did it not matter to him at all? Was it just you who was so invested in this activity, or the relationship?
“Do you not love me anymore?” you voice out frustrated. You see him pause, his back that is towards you stiffens. He turns around and you see slow-moving teardrops rolling down his face, to which you’re taken aback. “Jungwon?” you hesitate.
“I really want to freshen up, please,” his voice breaks. You remain silent as you watch him walk away again, confused. You sit back down on the sofa, thinking about everything that could possibly be going on in his head.
You lay your head against the warm cushion and close your eyes. What made your usually patient boyfriend this upset? And what wasn’t he telling you? Did he not trust you anymore? It was now time for your head to be swirling with demoralising thoughts. You hear the door unlock, and open your eyes to see your boyfriend's puffy ones, his T-shirt patchy and wet, which you’re not sure is because of his tears or the shower. “Are you busy?” you ask softly, noticing his eyes shift.
Jungwon felt guilty towards you, and he really didn’t mean to break down in front of you. Furthermore, the fact that you doubted your love meant that there were other underlying issues in your relationship, something he knew the cause for. For the past few weeks, when you’ve been trying to initiate conversation, Jungwon, too depressed and exhausted to say anything, ignored you unintentionally. He felt bad that his work was getting in the way of his love for you, something he promised you, and himself, would never happen. He knew he couldn’t ignore it any longer, and neither could you.
“Not really, I just don’t think I want to watch a movie right now,” he replies, knowing he didn’t have the mental capacity for the thrillers the two of you usually enjoyed.
“Let’s go for a walk then, I think we both need it.” an idea you throw at him, getting up and grabbing your overcoat. He follows you, this time grabbing his jacket and the correct shoes, a matching pair of Converse that he’d bought with you.
Before the two of you had officially started dating, he’d always notice you on his morning walks with Maeum, confident, and joyful, headphones on. From then on, he used your interactions with Maeum as an excuse to initiate conversations, which ended up with him taking you on an official date. Walks were symbolic in your relationship, a dedicated bonding event for the two of you, something you’d subconsciously agreed to.
Like previous walks, you intended for this one to be just as meaningful, glancing at him in between steps. His tears had dried in the cold air, and his own steps, although still heavy, had become somewhat faster. His hands fiddled with the zip of his hoodie, opening and closing it rapidly, and his hair still wet, had drops seeping into his shirt every time he left it open.
You realise how your steps become more rapid as you reach the park, the same one where you’d first met him. You weren’t excited per say, you just happened to walk with more urgency, a sense of foreboding settling in your heart. As your rushed steps get you farther away from him, you feel someone’s hold on your wrist. You look back and see his hand that had stopped fidgeting, gently held on to you. His eyes had softened, and he looked at you concerned. “Slow down love,” he says, breaking the silence that had been a bystander on this walk. He pulls you closer, interlacing your finger as you continue to walk at a slower pace until you reach a bench. Jungwon removes his jacket and places it on the bench, motioning for you to sit. Once he’s sat behind you, he looks at you properly, eyes observing every part of your face, following the noticeable question mark imprinted all over.
“I love you y/n, and I’ve never stopped loving you,” he finally lets out, to which your brows furrow. A part of you is relieved, but also more frustrated, as contradictory as it sounds. You were relieved that he didn’t hate you, and that there was hope in the relationship, but more of you was upset at how his actions didn’t follow that, confused at what made him so disheartened. “Then why have you been so distant? What made you so upset, if not for me?” you ask.
He holds your hand again, taking a deep breath in, releasing a shaky sigh. “Honestly, I’m so exhausted. It’s work that’s got me feeling so muddled. It’s evidently my passion which makes me happy, but at the same time it demands so much of me that there’s none left for me to give to you, or to myself. The past few weeks have been hell, and today feels especially bad. It’s like nothing’s been going my way, starting from burnt breakfast, to the choreographers scolding me for holding everyone else back, to the confusion in the meetings. Everything just feels so burdensome, even though I’m used to it.” he reveals with no pause, letting everything out.
You gulp at this confession, a part of your heart breaking with every word coming out of his mouth. You hated seeing him like this: absolutely dejected. You knew better than everyone how hard he worked, and how hard he tried to make things easier for everyone, reducing their burden, which is why it hurts to see him bottling everything up within himself. You gently put his head on your shoulder, engulfing him in a hug as warm as you can gather. “I’m so sorry,” you whisper, “I didn’t know.”
You can feel him smile, and at the same time he sobs a little, tears now collecting on your coat. “It’s not your fault, I was being so selfish,” he replies in between breaths. You rub circles on his back, trying to ease his pain. You feel him relax in your arms and you sigh. “Jungwon, you know you can lean on me right? Please don’t keep things like this to yourself. Please trust me, so we can go through hardships like this together.”
You hear a soft hmm against your shoulders. He looks back at you, once he’s done crying, and you wipe any tears settled on his cheeks. “How’d I get so lucky?” he whispers as he kisses your eyelids, when you realise that you’d shed a few tears too. You smile, as his lips eventually meet your own. “I’m sorry”s and “it’s okay”s are whispered in conjecture to “I love you”s in between the long kiss, until a dog disturbs the two of you by pawing on your legs. You laugh, and eventually get up. Jungwon stretches as he stands up, his hands thumping his back. “Does it hurt?” you ask concerned. “A little,” he replies shyly.
“We should get back then, I’ll give you a massage,” you offer, taking his hand in yours. “Really?” he perks up at the thought, his voice becoming louder, as he gets more excited, a stark contrast to an hour ago when he entered home wearily. This time you’ll be going back home together, a sense of calm inhabiting the two of you, confident that it’ll be alright.

𝐇𝐄𝐄𝐒𝐄𝐔𝐍𝐆 doesn't think twice when he sees you on the bleachers at his basketball game, because he's gotten so used to seeing you there, cheering him on whenever he scores and waving enthusiastically when he looks your way... only to find himself doing a double take when he notices you talking to the members of the opposition's team. stands there for a while with a tilted head as he wonders why it is you're giggling and twirling your hair, batting your eyelashes at whatever it was the guy was saying. and he really shouldn't have been so annoyed, seeing as you're free to talk to whoever you like... but for some reason, he finds himself purposely missing a shot and causing the ball to roll over to where you and your friends are sitting, just so he has an excuse to walk over there after your pick up the ball, before kissing you on the cheek as he takes ball back. "thanks, baby," he says, before walking away again.... but of course, not without one last cocky smirk to the other guy when he sees your flustered expression, and a promise to ask you out properly after he wins this game.
more under the cut !
𝐉𝐀𝐘, who has gotten used to seeing snacks on his desk along with little notes whenever he wakes up from his nap, feels like he's been thrown into an alternate universe when he looks up one day to find that his desk his completely empty. looks around, and asks his deskmate if you came by today, only for them to shake their head and say that they haven't seen you all day. doesn't think too much about it at first, thinking that you may be busy... only to notice that it continues a few days straight. decides to walk to your class one day, completely forgoing his usual nap, just to see if you're okay, because as much as he wouldn't admit it, anyone could tell he was worried about you. so imagine his surprise when he walks up behind you while you're talking to your friends, just to learn you've been doing it on purpose to make him miss you. crosses his arms and leans down to your ear with a smirk, causing your heart to fly out of your chest when you realise he was there all along. "okay, you win." because he really did miss you... maybe even more than you had planned.
𝐉𝐀𝐊𝐄 probably takes a while to figure out that you're avoiding him, but only because he genuinely believes you when you say you're busy when he asks why you can't make it to his soccer game. he knows that you have a life outside of school, so he can't feel upset... but everyone (his teammates, his friends, his coach, his neighbour, his dog...) notices that he is walking around the field like a depressed puppy whose owner doesn't want to play with him, and it's all because you're not in your usual seat, cheering him on while wearing his number like you usually do. and it makes him realise just how much you were becoming his lucky charm, just as you had boldly proclaimed you would be. and so that's how he finds himself waiting for you after you're finished your classes for the day, before wrapping his arms around you in a hug, not caring about the wolf whistles and the cheers coming from all the students and teachers who stood watching around you, or the way you stuttered his name in protest because of how he was acting in public... all he could think about was how he was a fool for not making you his to begin with.
𝐒𝐔𝐍𝐆𝐇𝐎𝐎𝐍 can't remember when you haven't been next to him. from the first day of school, you were the one beside him, helping him in class whenever he had to catch up on work that he missed because of his figure skating career, saving him a seat on the bus because you knew he would always end up being five minutes late out of class. so when he comes back from a week off from school, he is visibly taken aback when you walk in and take a seat at the front of the classroom, next to some other guy who he didn't even know existed until now. doesn't buy it for a second when his new seatmate explains that you had to switch because you had trouble seeing, and burns holes into the back of your head for the entire lesson, intensifying his glare when you and your new seatmate are a tad too close for comfort, heads bumping against each other as you whisper about the answers to the questions, like you used to do with sunghoon. can't seem to catch you alone for the rest of the day, so he waits for the end of the day, when you guys catch the bus together, and makes sure that he gets there before you do... so that when you try and sit next to someone else, he pulls you down in the seat he saved next to him, before leaning his head on your shoulder, his hand wrapped around your smaller one. "stay here, please..." because you’re the only one he wants beside him, and he wants to be the only one next to you.
𝐒𝐔𝐍𝐎𝐎 knows immediately that something isn't right when you don't ask for his help with your club projects. being in the photography club, you love to remind him how he is your favourite model, and you make it painfully obvious whenever you beg him to let you take his pictures. imagine his surprise and offense when you no longer seek him out first, but some other guy in a different class, who you keep positing pictures of on the school newsletter, where you used to post his pictures instead. he instantly makes a plan to win you back and become your favourite once again, even going as far as to rock up to school the next day with blonde hair that makes everyone stop and stare... except you, the person who is usually the first to jump on the train of people to praise him. he realises at that moment that this goes beyond just his pride; he genuinely just wants to be able to make you smile like before. so imagine your surprise when you open the newsletter for the next week, to find a candid photo of you looking at your camera, hair blowing in the wind and a smile on your face, with the caption "prettiest girl in our grade" followed by, "taken by kim sunoo".
𝐉𝐔𝐍𝐆𝐖𝐎𝐍 does not beat around the bush. so the first time you walk by him in the hallway without so much as uttering a "hi," he immediately knows he needs to confront you about it, because not a single day has passed in the time that you've known each other where you haven't jumped on him (figuratively, of course) whenever the chance arises so you can chat his ear off about something or other. and he doesn't like the feeling he gets seeing you give him the cold shoulder for reasons he has no idea about. so the next time you pass him by without saying anything, he's grabbing your wrist and tugging you down the hallway, ignoring the squeals from your friends as he pulls you into the janitor's closet. "why are you avoiding me?" he demands, frowning. but then the two of you are rendered blushing incoherent messes when you try to escape the room... only to trip on your own two feet and fall into his arms, your lips bumping against each other in the process. (but even though it's an accident, jungwon thinks that he really likes this feeling alot.)
𝐍𝐈-𝐊𝐈 is an absolute menace, and you are probably one of the only people in the world other than his mother that can put up with him. it really surprises people to see you follow him around, cooking him bentos and fixing his tie for him because he always fails at doing it himself, only to find out that you're not his girlfriend. ni-ki himself probably doesn't even realise how much you've been taking care of him until you stop showing your face around his classroom at lunch, and no longer nag him about his uniform or his hair being messy. instead, he's left to watch as you turn around whenever you see him, purposely changing paths so you don't bump into each other. no one is surprised when he jumps over a fence just so he can catch up to you after you try to run away after making eye contact with him for the hundredth time. you end up blurting your feelings for him before he can ask, and while you brace yourself for rejection, he's already kissing you like he hasn't seen you for months... and wondering why he never did it sooner.

summary: you were fully prepared to spend valentine’s day alone. yang jungwon was fully prepared to blow your mind.

Tumblr media
It was Valentine’s Week and you were absolutely, extremely, horribly miserable.
You didn’t particularly care about the celebrations, but the feeling of loneliness first began to creep in when the student council appointed a Valentine’s Day Dance committee and made them decorate the entire school.
There were banners and streamers hanging everywhere. The culinary club was selling heart-shaped cookies and the broadcasting club was busy urging students to get their dance invites every few hours. You wished the PA system would malfunction and they would finally shut up.
Some boys even had the genius idea to capitalise Valentine’s Day and ask people out on behalf of the students who paid them for their services. They called themselves Cop-Your-Crush.
Classes were being interrupted all day long. You were witnessing a grand proposal being made multiple times a day. Just today, you had seen three girls being asked out and each proposal had been better than the one before.
Karina got asked out through a song the choir group sang for her. She quite literally burst into tears because her boyfriend, Soobin, still remembered the song they had first kissed to.
NingNing got asked out when a member of Cop-Your-Crush sweet-talked Mrs. Kim into letting him take over her presentation. He’d prepared a cute montage using the pictures provided to him by her boyfriend.
Yeji got asked out by the cheerleaders. They had prepared a special cheer for her, courtesy of Heeseung, also a member of Cop-Your-Crush, and his girlfriend, Chaewon, who was cheer captain. They were both Yeji’s best friends and had spared no expense in helping her boyfriend deliver a memorable proposal.
You thought the entire concept was corny, but it would have been nice to have someone ask you out too. You didn’t even have any expectations. Just a simple Hey, will you be my date to the Valentine’s Dance? would have sufficed.
Needless to say, you were irritated and cranky. You were debating begging your mom to let you skip school tomorrow. It was the thirteenth of February, so Valentine’s spirit was definitely going to be at an all-time high.
You slammed your locker door shut. Slumping against it, you clutched your books to your chest and sighed deeply. If only you had the courage to ask your crush to the dance. It was sort of surprising that he still didn’t have a date.
He was really attractive and really popular. You wondered why—
“Keep moving, dummy,” a voice popped from behind you, and you couldn’t help the groan that left your mouth. Deciding to not acknowledge the person further, you pushed yourself off the locker and turned to leave in the opposite direction. However, they seemed to have different plans for you. Throwing an arm around your neck, Yang Jungwon twisted you around and said, “Class is this way.”
“Piss off, Yang,” you snapped, trying to not stumble as he dragged you along.
“Are you coming to the basketball game tonight?” Jungwon inquired.
He wasn’t much taller than you, so when you glanced up at him, you found your faces only a few inches apart. “Why?”
“We’re playing Riverside High. You know there’s a bet between our schools, right? Losers have to jump in the lake at midnight.”
“Okay. Let me know if you lose and I’ll meet you there to enjoy your humiliation.”
Jungwon narrowed his eyes and flicked your forehead. You let out a sound of protest and slapped his hand away. “You think you’re so funny.”
“I think I have better things to do,” you retorted. “I’m supposed to pick up my sister after her soccer practice and drive her to her friend’s house for a sleepover.”
“That can be taken care of,” he answered immediately. “Riki will do the chauffeuring in your place.”
You snorted. “No.”
“C’mon!” Jungwon complained, moving to stand in front of you. You crossed your hands and raised an eyebrow. “I need you at the game tonight.”
“Why?”
“Because—” he hesitated— “because we always win when you’re watching from the stands. You’re our lucky charm.”
Jungwon was making absolutely no sense. The Bears of Eastwood High were one of the best. They didn’t require lucky charms to win games. Besides, you’d never benefited from the so-called fortune Jungwon claimed you possessed. He definitely had an ulterior motive for wanting you at the court tonight.
“You won the Christmas game,” you pointed out. “I wasn’t there that day. I was with my family at my childhood home.”
“Well, I thought you were at the game,” Jungwon corrected. “That’s why we won.”
You sighed and rolled your eyes. Stepping past his figure blocking your way, you said, “You need to get rid of these superstitions.”
“Please!” he begged, following after you the way a lost puppy would. “Winning tonight would give us a ticket to regionals! Can’t you let me have this?”
The desperation in his voice was so evident that you couldn’t help the crack that appeared in your resolve. You weren’t one to believe in luck, but you still carried an Omamori to stay safe.
You hadn’t exactly been the recipient of any good fortune lately, but your life had been sailing smoothly. Come to think of it, you’d probably subconsciously begun to depend on the charm.
You were a hypocrite for making fun of Jungwon’s superstitions.
“Fine,” you relented. “I’ll come. But—” you added immediately upon seeing a wide grin replace the pout on his face— “after I’m done with my chores. I’m not leaving Hyeri with Riki. He crashed his car into a trashcan last week. I was with him. My life flashed in front of my eyes.”
Jungwon looked slightly amused. “Do you think you might be able to make it before half-time?”
“Easily.”
“Nice,” he popped. The two of you had arrived at your classroom, so he ruffled your hair and bid you goodbye before making his way towards his friend group. “I owe you one.”
“Yeah, you do,” you muttered to yourself.
Tumblr media
You finished dropping your sister earlier than expected.
Her soccer practice had run short and when you’d checked your watch after seeing her off, you’d realised that the first quarter of the game would be ending in a few minutes.
You glanced up at the screen displaying the scores as you walked into the gymnasium.
8-3. Eastwood High in the lead.
Good luck was a scam. Shaking your head, you searched for your best friend, Eunchae, in the stands. Your eyes stopped on a girl who was aggressively waving her hands in the air.
You smiled and waved back, making your way to her.
“I was worried you’d be late,” Eunchae said.
You hummed. “Hyeri finished her practactice early so I was able to get here quicker. I don’t even know why Jungwon asked me to come. We’re in the lead.”
“Better safe than sorry,” she popped. “Second quarter just started. We should pay attention.”
You turned to look at the court. While you’d been talking to her, Riverside had scored a 3-pointer. Eastwood was only 2 points ahead now.
You could hear both schools’ coaches screaming despite the loud noise of the audience. Cringing a little when Mr. Jung blatantly cursed at Jungwon and told him to get his head out of his ass, you decided Eunchae had been right about being better safe than sorry.
“Timeout!” Riverside High’s coach yelled. “Timeout!”
The whistle rang and the playing 5 went jogging over to the sidelines. Jungwon’s eye caught yours as he scanned the stands and you waved at him awkwardly. He smiled and waved back, looking rather relieved to see you.
“You guys are so cute,” Eunchae commented.
You whirled on her. “Excuse me?”
“I’m just saying!” she exclaimed, raising her hands defensively. “Jungwon and you would make a really good couple.”
“What makes you think so?”
“Other than the fact that he’s completely whipped for you?” Eunchae shrugged. “You’re into him as well. No! Don’t give me that look! I know you are. I’m not fucking blind, Y/N. You say he’s annoying but I don’t see you pushing him away. I think you love the attention he gives you.”
You crossed your arms over your chest, suddenly feeling awfully exposed. “You’re delusional.”
“Am I though?” She raised an eyebrow. “You both are together all the time. You can pretend all you want, but I know your petty and childish banter is just a cover for the horrible amount of flirting that’s hidden underneath.”
“I don’t flirt with him!”
“He flirts with you and you entertain him! You claim to dislike him but hang out with him at school everyday! An idiot could tell by looking at you how much you enjoy being around him.”
You glared at Eunchae. “I don’t appreciate being psychoanalysed.”
“You just don’t appreciate the truth.” She shrugged. “I don’t know what’s stopping you from asking him out to the dance, but I hope you come to your senses. You don’t wanna regret missing out on someone who cares so much for you.”
Thankfully, the whistle rang before you could formulate a reply. The game began again, and you focused your attention on the court.
It was Eastwood’s way and the ball was in Jungwon’s hand. He aimed high and his eyes set on Jake who was standing at the far end of the court. However, instead of throwing the ball with all his might, he only flicked his wrist.
The ball bounced between a Riverside player’s legs, and Heeseung, who was waiting a little behind him, grabbed the ball immediately. Instead of dribbling, the boy passed the ball right back to Jungwon.
Jungwon caught it without stopping and sprinted to Eastwood’s side of the court. Your jaw dropped when you saw him manoeuvre his way through Riverside’s defence so flawlessly. Even though you’d watched him play multiple times, you’d never really been able to comprehend how good he was.
He’d covered the court by himself without needing to stop or backtrack. It was as if he knew the opponent’s move even before they decided to make it.
The crowd went wild the moment Jungwon executed the layup effortlessly. The whistle for half-time blew a few moments after and Eunchae turned to you.
“That was so good!” she squealed. “He could go pro so easily!”
“He could,” you agreed. “He really is very good.”
You had to admit—watching Jungwon in his element made your heart beat at speeds you didn’t even know it was capable of reaching. You convinced yourself it was the adrenaline and the anticipation from watching the game. Your dad never sat still whenever he watched his favourite team play in the World Cup.
“It’s time for the Kiss Cam.” Eunchae nudged you with her elbow. You turned to look at the big screen hanging from the roof of the gymnasium. The camera focused on Juyeon and Chaeyeon. The couple grinned and pointed at their recording on the screen in excitement before the latter grabbed the former’s collar and pulled him into a kiss.
You felt a smile form on your face. You’d always thought the two of them were one of the cutest couples in your school.
The camera then focused on Mr. Hwang, your biology teacher, and Mrs. Jung, your calculus teacher. You hooted and joined everyone else in the stands as they encouraged the two teachers to kiss.
Whoever had decided the Kiss Cam victims was a genius. Mr. Hwang and Ms. Jung were the youngest faculty members in your school. It was a popular opinion amongst students that they looked cute together. Some even placed bets on whether it would be Mr. Hwang to make the first move or Ms. Jung.
Naturally, the two of them didn’t kiss. They just smiled in embarrassment and waved at the camera, asking it to focus on someone else instead.
You waited eagerly to see who the drone would target next. A jolt passed through your body when you saw yourself on the screen.
Eyes widening, you shook your head and tried to tell them that you were single. The camera didn’t move despite your protests, instead zooming out to include Eunchae in the frame instead.
You paused.
Looked at her.
Considered.
Raised an eyebrow.
“I’m down if you—”
“To your left, you idiot!” she exclaimed, grabbing your shoulders and whirling you around.
Yang Jungwon was standing in front of you with flowers in his hands. His hair was dripping with sweat and his cheeks were flushed. He was panting, but there was a shy smile on his face.
Your heart stopped as he got down on his knees and the entire gymnasium burst into cheers.
“Hey,” he popped.
“Hey,” you answered with much effort. Then added stupidly, “You’re on your knees.”
“No comment about the flowers?”
“Not when you’re on your knees for me in front of the entire school.”
“Oooh, I didn’t know you were so kinky.”
“I didn’t know this was why you begged me to come to the game.”
He laughed and the sound was like music to your ears. You were nervous. You were rambling. There was no way he was going to ask you to the dance. He wouldn’t be stalling so much if he was. He wouldn’t—
Oh.
He was giving you time to wrap your head around what was happening. This was clearly intended to be a well-planned surprise meant to catch you completely off-guard. He—
“Yeah, I would’ve been really bummed out if you hadn’t shown up. My efforts would have been for nothing.”
“So I’m not actually your lucky charm?”
“Of course, you are. I feel the luckiest when I’m with you.” Your chest swelled with an emotion you couldn’t identify. The gymnasium faded into the background and all you could hear was the sound of your heart thudding against your ribcage and Jungwon’s voice as he asked,
“Will you make me lucky again by accompanying me to the Valentine’s Dance?”
Tumblr media
The game had ended twenty minutes ago.
Eastwood had won by 10 points. You’d thought the difference was pretty good but your Mr. Woo, your school’s coach, didn’t seem to share your opinion. He’d claimed that Riverside never even should have been able to get within 15 points of Eastwood.
He’d been especially tense in the second half of the third quarter when the opposition had begun scoring back to back baskets. It had all worked out in the end nonetheless, all thanks to Yang Jungwon, the MVP of the match.
You still couldn’t believe he’d asked you out and you refused to believe he’d done it in such a grand way.
He was the definition of a jock and goofed around in school all day long. He was charming, sure, but you’d never known he was capable of pulling off something this big.
You’d never even suspected he was a romantic.
Your phone dinged and you unlocked it to check who was texting you.
[eunchae]: wya?
[y/n]: parking lot!! are u here? i’m leaning against my car
[eunchae]: noo i’m home :( btw are u still waiting for him??
[y/n]: yeah he asked me to but the team hasn’t come out of the gym yet
[eunchae]: yikes i heard mr. woo was hella mad we only won by 10 points.. maybe he’s yelling at the players right now
[y/n]: i’m p sure he is LMFAO
Your fingers hovered over your phone’s screen as you waited for Eunchae to type her reply. However, before she could send it, you felt the device being grabbed from your hand.
“What the—” you started, but relaxed when you saw Jungwon standing in front of you with an amused expression on his face. “Yang.”
He quirked an eyebrow. “Someone could have easily kidnapped you, you know?”
“We live in the most boring part of the town.” You snorted. “Baek Seung threatening to chop his neighbour’s tree on local TV was the most interesting thing that happened this year.”
“That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be on your guard,” Jungwon said and moved next to you, leaning against the side of your car as well. He was wearing black sweats and a red hoodie. He smelt of cheap soap and his hair was damp, making you realise that he had probably showered. “Besides, Baek Sung actually followed through. We have a real criminal in our ranks.”
“Didn’t you literally let five sheep loose in our middle school three years ago?”
“That was just a harmless middle school graduating prank.”
“There’s no such thing as a middle school graduating prank.”
“Tell that to the current 8th graders who are planning their prank. I hear they’re going to stuff the hallway outside the principal’s office with helium balloons so she won’t be able to leave.”
You stared at him, a small smile playing on your lips. Jungwon’s eyes dropped to your mouth for a millisecond before he looked into your eyes again.
“Why did you ask me to the dance?” you asked and turned on your side to face him. It was a stupid question but you were genuinely curious.
Eunchae was right before. Jungwon flirted with you all the time and you always entertained him. You enjoyed the attention he gave you. But if this thing between you was just platonic, and if it was never going to progress into something real, you needed to know now.
You didn’t want to hope and wait for something that was never going to happen.
“Sunoo said I was an idiot for not shooting my shot with you,” he replied and turned on his side too. “He threatened to make a move on you if I didn’t get my shit together before Valentine’s Day.”
You snorted.
“Oh, also,” Jungwon added. “I really, really like you.”
You felt a tidal wave of emotions override your senses. Euphoria, nervousness, breathlessness, giddiness, uncertainty and this inexplicable urge to squeal washed over you.
Your heart went haywire inside your chest when Jungwon leaned closer to you and dipped his head so that his face was right in front of yours.
“You’re blushing,” he whispered.
You squeaked and buried your face in your hands. He grabbed your wrists and gently moved them out of the way. “Can I kiss you?”
“I think that would be a health hazard,” you croaked, looking at anywhere but him. “My heart is beating concerningly fast right now. What if I drop dead?”
“I can do CPR.”
The corner of your mouth quirked up in a small smile. Your heart beat slowed down and you began feeling at ease. You wondered if Jungwon could tell that this was the first time someone had confessed to you.
The entire concept of dating and being in a relationship was foreign to you. You doubted Jungwon had much experience in the field himself since he’d only had one girlfriend in kindergarten, but he seemed confident.
You trusted him to take over the wheel and guide you through the strange waters of love.
“Okay,” you breathed and closed your eyes. “Kiss me.”
His hands cupped your cheeks, his soft lips brushing against yours. You sucked in a breath and just stood there, not really knowing what to do.
Your hands itched to grab onto something, so you shifted closer to Jungwon and clutched the front of his hoodie in your fists.
He smiled against your mouth as you rose on your toes and tilted your head to the side.
But then you realised something and hastily broke the kiss. Jungwon stared at you in confusion, but before he could ask what was wrong, you blurted, “I like you too.”
There was a pause. He didn’t say anything for a long moment, so you clarified, “I thought I should make that clear. I mean, you confessed but I didn’t confess back even though I feel the same way and what if you thought I wasn’t into you. I am into you, by the way. I’ve been crushing on you since forever but I never knew how to say it—”
Jungwon swooped in for a second kiss and you melted in his arms. You could get used to the feeling of his lips on yours. They fit together perfectly.
“You are so cute.” He giggled after detaching his mouth from yours. Resting his forehead against yours, he continued, “Eunchae told me last week. She urged me to confess because she knew your stubbornness would never allow you to make the move.”
“What?” you exclaimed, jerking away from him. “Where’s my phone? Give me my damn phone, Yang!”
He grabbed arms before you could lunge at him and search him for your device. “Relax!”
“I’m going to kill her!”
“Why?!”
“Because—” you sputtered, struggling to get out of his grip— “because it’s embarrassing! I was pretending to not like you but you knew I was crushing on you the entire time!”
“It’s not embarrassing!” Jungwon said. “It’s normal—Y/N stop!”
You let your body fall limp in his arms. “I’m going home. I’ll see you tomorrow.”
“You’re seriously not going to let Eunchae’s nosiness stop us from having our first date, are you?”
“What?” you asked and moved out of his grip.
He shrugged and shoved his hands into pockets. “It’s nothing special. I was going to ask if you wanted to go out for some food.”
“Oh,” you replied blankly. “Don’t you have a celebratory dinner with your team though?”
“I can ditch them.”
“You shouldn’t.”
“Let me correct myself: I already ditched them. I want to spend tonight and celebrate with you.”
Your heart swelled with happiness. “Really?” When was the last time someone outside of your parents prioritised you? You genuinely couldn’t remember.
“Of course. Do you wanna get some McDonald’s?”
You nodded, but before he could make his way to the passenger’s seat of your car, you said, “Just so you know, I feel the luckiest when I’m with you too.”
Yang Jungwon kissed you for the third time, and by no means was it the last, or even close to the last one you shared that day.

INK MY HEART. Y. JUNGWON
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
synopsis: a lost bet leads you to flirt with your local tattoo artist yang jungwon.
warning: none
genre: tattoo artist! jungwon x reader, fluffy, awkward reader, kinda flirty jungwon
remember to reblog and like for more content!
Tumblr media
the bet was lost in a haze of laughter and drinks, leaving you standing awkwardly outside a tattoo shop, heart racing with nerves. you had to flirt with the tattoo artist—a stranger whose name you didn't even know.
taking a deep breath, you pushed open the door, the bell chiming softly above your head. the shop was dimly lit, filled with the buzz of tattoo machines and the scent of ink.
your eyes fell on him immediately—a tall, lean figure with an array of tattoos peeking out from beneath his rolled-up sleeves. Jungwon, the tattoo artist – you read on the label on his shirt.
"hi there," you managed to squeak out, feeling your cheeks flush hot with embarrassment. the words felt like a clumsy stumble out of your mouth, tripping over nerves and uncertainty. as they hung in the air, you couldn't help but cringe inwardly at how awkward you must sound.
in that moment, a flurry of thoughts raced through your mind like a whirlwind. should you have said something different? was "hi there" too casual, too hesitant? would Jungwon think you were a complete fool for stumbling over such a simple greeting?
your heart pounded erratically in your chest, the sound of blood rushing in your ears drowning out all other noise. you cursed yourself for not being more composed, more charming—like the confident flirt you had imagined yourself to be in this scenario.
but as you stole a glance at Jungwon, you found yourself momentarily frozen by the intensity of his gaze. his eyes, dark and enigmatic, seemed to hold a silent promise of understanding, as if he could sense the whirlwind of nerves and emotions raging within you.
heat crept up your neck, suffusing your cheeks with a deep crimson blush. you wished you could disappear into the floor, escape the suffocating embarrassment that seemed to cling to you like a second skin.
"smooth," you chided yourself inwardly, mentally kicking yourself for your lack of grace. you had imagined this flirtatious encounter a thousand times in your head, rehearsing witty lines and charming smiles. and yet, when faced with the reality of the moment, all those practiced words seemed to evaporate into thin air.
Jungwon raised an eyebrow, a small smile playing on his lips. He seemed to sense your nerves, but instead of easing them, he leaned against the counter, looking amused.
"what can I do for you?" he asked, his voice smooth and enticing.
you fumbled for words, trying to come up with a plausible excuse for being there. "uh, i, um... i heard you're the best," you blurted out, mentally cringing at your lack of subtlety.
Jungwon chuckled softly, a hint of mischief in his eyes. "flattery won't get you everywhere," he replied, gesturing for you to take a seat.
panic set in as you realized you hadn't even thought about what tattoo you wanted. you glanced around the shop, your eyes landing on a display of intricate silk designs.
"I-I want a silk tattoo," you blurted out, feeling your palms grow sweaty.
Jungwon arched an eyebrow, a playful glint in his eyes. " silk tattoo, huh? any particular design in mind?"
your mind went blank, the pressure mounting as Jungwon patiently waited for an answer. and then, without thinking, you blurted out the first thing that came to mind.
"a small book," you said, gesturing to your ankle. "right there."
Jungwon's lips twitched with amusement as he prepared his equipment. "a book, it is," he said, his voice teasing.
the tattoo chair felt more like a throne of nerves as you settled into it, Jungwon's skilled hands preparing to ink your skin. your heart raced wildly in your chest, and you cursed your luck for getting yourself into this situation.
as Jungwon began to sketch the outline of the small book on your ankle, you found yourself struggling to come up with anything coherent to say.
the tattoo machine buzzed softly in the background, its rhythmic hum filling the air. each buzz sent a jolt of nerves through you, the sound echoing in your ears like a relentless drumbeat. anxiety twisted in the pit of your stomach, making it hard to focus on anything else. as Jungwon worked his magic, the sound of the ink pen seemed to grow louder, each stroke of the needle sending shivers down your spine. you couldn't help but wonder if Jake would ever believe the wild tale that was unfolding in the tattoo shop that night.
"uh, so, do you, uh, get a lot of people asking for silk tattoos?" you blurted out, mentally cringing at the awkwardness of your question.
Jungwon glanced up from his work, a small smile playing on his lips. "not as many as you'd think," he replied, his voice smooth and reassuring. "but I have to say, you're the first to ask for a book."
you flushed hot with embarrassment, feeling like a fool for blurting out such a random request. "I, um, I like books," you muttered, your cheeks burning.
Jungwon chuckled softly, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "nothing wrong with that," he replied, his tone light and teasing.
"o-ow!" you exclaimed suddenly, more out of nerves than actual pain.
Jungwon paused, looking up at you with concern. "are you okay? Did that hurt?"
you shook your head quickly, feeling foolish for overreacting. "n-no, I'm fine. just... nervous, i guess."
Jungwon's touch was like a soothing balm on your frayed nerves, the warmth of his hand seeping through your skin and calming the storm of anxiety within you. as he squeezed your leg reassuringly, you felt a rush of comfort wash over you, his gentle gesture a silent promise of support.
"you're doing great," his voice, soft and encouraging, whispered in your ear, barely audible over the hum of the tattoo machine. the tension in your muscles eased at his words, and you found yourself relaxing into the chair, surrendering to the moment.
a nervous smile tugged at your lips as you met Jungwon's gaze, finding warmth and understanding in his eyes. "th-thanks," you stammered, your voice barely above a whisper. heat rushed to your cheeks, coloring them a rosy hue that you were sure Jungwon could see.
his eyes crinkled at the corners as he returned your smile, a silent reassurance that filled you with a sense of ease. in that moment, with Jungwon's hand still resting gently on your leg, you felt a flutter of something unfamiliar yet exhilarating stirring within you.
it was a mixture of nervous anticipation and a budding attraction, the kind that made your heart race and your stomach flutter with butterflies. you couldn't deny the warmth spreading through you at Jungwon's touch, the way his presence seemed to envelop you in a cocoon of safety and comfort.
as the tattooing continued, each stroke of the needle sending a jolt of sensation through your skin, you found yourself stealing glances at Jungwon whenever you dared. his focused expression, the way his eyes crinkled in concentration, the faint hint of a smile playing on his lips—it all added to the growing flutter in your chest.
and when Jungwon's hand brushed against yours as he adjusted his position, a jolt of electricity shot through you, leaving your skin tingling in its wake. it was a fleeting touch, innocent yet charged with unspoken possibilities, leaving you craving more.
lost in a whirlwind of emotions, you found yourself drawn to Jungwon in ways you couldn't quite explain. his presence was a comforting anchor in the midst of your swirling thoughts and emotions, grounding you in the here and now.
but as the tattooing neared its end, you couldn't help but feel a pang of disappointment at the thought of Jungwon's touch leaving your skin. the warmth of his hand, the gentle reassurance in his voice—they had become a lifeline in this whirlwind of nerves and anticipation.
and when the final stroke of the needle marked the completion of the tattoo, you couldn't suppress the sigh of both relief and regret that escaped your lips. Jungwon's hand lingered for a moment longer, the warmth of his touch searing into your skin, before he withdrew with a gentle smile.
as you sat there, heart still racing and cheeks flushed, you couldn't help but feel a sense of loss at the absence of Jungwon's touch.
"okay, all done," Jungwon announced finally, wiping away the excess ink. "take a look."
you leaned forward eagerly, your heart pounding in your chest. snd there it was—the small book tattooed beautifully on your ankle, its pages fluttering delicately in the imaginary breeze.
"it's perfect," you breathed, feeling a surge of emotion welling up inside you.
Jungwon grinned, a proud glint in his eyes. "glad you think so," he replied, his voice soft.
as you admired the tattoo, a comfortable silence settled over the room. you couldn't help but steal glances at Jungwon, admiring the way his eyes sparkled in the dim light, the way his tattooed arms flexed with every movement.
"um, so, what now?" you asked, suddenly realizing that you didn't quite know what to do next.
Jungwon chuckled, a warm sound that made your heart flutter. "well, first you'll need to sign a few forms," he said, gesturing to the paperwork on the table. "and then... well, that's up to you."
you nodded, trying to focus on the paperwork as your mind raced with possibilities. but when you glanced up, you noticed something strange on the receipt Jungwon handed you.
"wait a minute," you said, furrowing your brow in confusion. "what's this?"
Jungwon leaned in, his voice dropping to a low whisper. "that," he said, a mischievous glint in his eyes, "is my number."
your eyes widened in surprise, a surge of excitement coursing through you. "y-your number?"
Jungwon winked, a playful smirk tugging at his lips. "in case you ever need a touch-up," he replied, his voice teasing.
before you could respond, Jungwon was already moving on to his next client, leaving you with a fluttering heart and a piece of paper burning a hole in your pocket.
as you stepped out into the bustling city, the tattoo on your ankle felt like a secret, a reminder of the unexpected and thrilling encounter with Jungwon. and as you pulled out the piece of paper with his number, a smile tugged at your lips.

PREVIEW: You've always steered clear of anything that screams trouble. Considering that you're about to graduate from university in a few months, you cannot afford to be distracted, especially when you're one of the top students in your cohort. Despite not being known affluently, almost everyone recognises you since you have earned the moniker of Crestview Meadows' good girl, albeit your reputation on campus is not something you deem pleasant, considering that most of the student body dislikes you as you are not an affluent figure unlike most of them. Fortunately, you are best friends with a few affluent figures who are totally likeable, which means no one will ever dare mess with you. You love your best friends, you really do, but sometimes their life choices make you question yourself. Halloween is approaching the next night, and your best friends have been imploring you to join them since they have been invited to an exclusive event that is known as 'The Devils Night' that is hosted by the fraternity of devil's knights. You know of them, including their club, and you know better than to involve yourself with them after hearing unpleasant things about them from your peers. In fact, from the day you stepped foot into the university, you had been warned to steer clear of any of the devil's knights members, and so you successfully did throughout those years, until now, because the moment you stepped foot into their territory, you have long since caught the eyes of the leaders of the devil's knights.  Little did you also know that your life would change in a matter of days and that you would be ruined by the four devil's knights.

Initially, you feel disgruntled and detested by such a social event, especially one that is hosted by specific delinquents, but eventually, you allow yourself to relax and enjoy the night. However, some of the invited guests, including you, have no notion of what the devil's knights' goal is for this year's Halloween. From the moment you begrudgingly agreed to go to the event, you were fucked because you had no idea what truly awaited you ─  you had no idea how your life would take a drastic turn, especially when you had become their prey.

SYNOPSIS: Jake Sim has got to be more bearable compared to the others. Unlike the rest of his club members, Jake is friendlier, making him an approachable figure. You recall when you got lost in the campus building during your second week of college in your first year, but Jake found you wandering like a lost puppy and was kind enough to guide you to the place you needed to go. Even after three years, his kindness is engraved in your mind. So, when Jake approaches you, you have little reason to suspect that he has an ill-intention towards you, especially when you have completely fallen for his trap. How can you not? With that charming grin on his handsome countenance and how he makes you comfortable enough to be yourself around him. It’s so easy to be with Jake. Little do you know that he is every bit corruptive like the rest of the knights.

SYNOPSIS: For some reason, Park Sunghoon utterly despises you ─ how you are the literal definition of a good girl who steers clear of troubles, how you remain loyal and abide by the rules, how you dress modestly, the fact that you're best friends with the popular girls who are his kind of girls, the way your eyes sparkle with your face being animated, and the dimples on your cheeks whenever you smile or laugh ─ you are every bit of a girl he has no desire to fuck. However, being naturally competitive even against his best friends, he is determined to be the one to break you, poison you with his corruptive ways, and change you for the worse.

SYNOPSIS: You have heard unpleasant things about Jay Park, one of which is his tendency towards violence, which brings you chills as you recall a student who nearly died because of him. You know better than to cross him, and so you ignore him whenever he attempts to speak to you or pesters you by throwing such crude remarks at you, because no matter how much you want to lash out at him, you worry that your words would greatly anger him. Little do you know that your silence and how you disregard his existence have long since angered him. So he decides to teach you a little lesson, making a different approach towards you and eventually you fall for his dark allure ─ one that has you on a delirious high, and yet you find yourself slowly breaking into pieces.

After being heavily involved with his comrades, you should be staying away from him, you should be avoiding him at all costs, and yet, in your vulnerable state, including the lust clouding your better judgement, you fall for his dark allure, allowing him to breach through the walls that you built to protect yourself from them.

SYNOPSIS: Words are circulating around campus about how you've become their prey, which greatly confounds you, especially how you have received dirty yet pitiful looks from your peers. Subsequently, you find yourself falling in love with them, always yearning for their affection even when they have shown you reasons why you should flee from them. You hope to be the one to change them, but something happens. Something that you should have seen coming, and that something eventually leads to you completely breaking you to the point where nothing is repairable. With exams finally over and results received, all that is left is a long school break before your graduation. As you are broken beyond repair, you have made up your mind to accept one of your best friends's offers to move abroad with her. Acting like a brat to your boyfriend to purposely annoy him wasn’t anything new to your relationship.
Pushing his buttons was in your nature and your favorite pastime. Seeing the way he would scrunch his nose and furrow his brows at you got you going every single time, only furthering your need to piss him off to see that annoyed look turn into a stern one. Jaw locked and fists clenching at his sides as he eyes you with a look of warning. You knew what your punishments would be if you kept pushing him anymore, but your brat behavior would always continue until his hands were on your body and you were bent over whatever surface was near you at that moment as he pounded into your cunt, “Going to fuck that pretty little brat behavior outta ya baby girl.”
And tonight wasn’t any different than normal. Except for the fact Jungwon already came home pissed off to all hell, yelling into his phone on call with one of his best friends about the bullshit that happened at work earlier.
It was the perfect time to press his buttons. You were feeling needy all day and wanted to get railed as soon as he got home and with the fact Jungwon was already mad, it would make your job easier.
Jungwon stood in the kitchen, slamming the cabinet doors closed, aggressively opening the fridge to grab a water bottle and then kicking it closed, chuckling over whatever it was his friend said over the phone before sitting down at the table and opening the bottle, tossing the cap into the trash can.
You pressed your body against the wall by the table, folding your hands behind you as you stared down at him, waiting for your moment to strike.
Jungwon took a few sips of the water, glancing up to finally notice you against the wall, his face brows furrowing and shaking his head and muting himself on the call, “I see those gears turning YN, don’t you fucking dare.”
You held your hands up in defense, trying to plead your innocence. But Jungwon wasn’t stupid, he’s been dating you for years. He knows your games and how you play them. He loves you dearly, but today WASN’T a day to fuck with him.
Did you care? Absolutely not. You did respect his warning for the time being while he was on the call, but once he removed the phone from his ear and ended the call you slipped into the chair beside him, pulling it as close as you could to him, getting all in his personal space.
Jungwon ignored you at first, dropping his head into his hands and rolling his eyes, clenching his jaw to keep from snapping.
You poked his cheek, pulled at his ear, tugged on his shirt, and even blew on his face yet got no reaction. Meaning you just had to try harder.
You repeated the same actions, except now teasing him with words, “Awe, poor Wonnie, had a shitty day at work? That fucking sucks, just get over it.”
Jungwon clenched his jaw tighter, “I love her I love her I love her I love her,” he kept repeating in his head, using it as a reminder that you were just being bratty like normal. He just needed to ignore it until you gave up.
“Just stop being a baby, Won. Grow up.”
Well, now he couldn’t ignore it.
He whipped his head up so fast, yelling, “Can you just shut the fuck up, YN? Jesus Christ I am NOT in the fucking mood to deal with you right now,” he gave you one last warning look, staring you down.
But now you were pissed. Jungwon has never yelled at you like that before, yes he’s yelled when you’ve pushed his buttons too far before fucking your brains out, but it was never like this.
You matched his glare, deciding it wasn’t worth it right now, that you would just come back and try again later after whatever pissed in his lunch earlier that got him so mad was gone.
You stood, snapping out a “What the fuck ever Jungwon.”
And now Jungwon is done.
Right when your back was turned to him, he jumped from the chair, gripping the back of your neck and pulling you back, slamming your back to his chest before whipping you around and bending you over the kitchen table. The water bottle was now tipped over, the liquid spilling on the table and dripping down to the floor.
You released a gasped moan, feeling his hard length against your ass, him pressing his crotch hard onto you.
“Jungwon?” he chuckled, his voice dropping an octave, “What happened to Won? Or Wonnie or even babe?”
Hearing you call him by his full name sent him over the edge. You never call him Jungwon. And hearing that name fall from your lips was his last straw with you.
But you didn’t care, you were finally getting what you wanted. You slipped your lip between your teeth, backing your ass even harder onto his cock, rocking your hips slowly.
Jungwon held your hips tightly, forcing you to stop moving, “Ahh now that you’re getting what you want after being such a fucking brat you think I’ll just give it to you?”
You nodded, trying to move again, but he gripped you tighter, not letting you move.
“You’ll get this dick when I say you can,” he growls, looping his fingers into your shorts and dropping them down to your ankles, “Understand?”
You nod again, the cool air of the apartment tingling your throbbing heat from the pool of your slick that soaked your panties, sending chills up your back.
Jungwon squeezed your ass cheeks, pulling them apart and hissing at how your panties pressed against your pussy, your panties being so wet he could see your fuck hole perfectly clear through the white fabric.
“Does pissing me off turn you on, baby?” he slowly slides your panties down, gently tracing his nails against your skin, watching the goosebumps rise on your skin as he drops your panties with your shorts, “So fucking horny just from pressing my nerves.”
You gasp when you feel his cold fingers cup your folds, his index and ring fingers slowly spreading your lips, the pad of his middle finger slowly rubbing circles on your clit.
“Wonnie, please,” you begged, your cunt clenching around nothing, rolling your hips forward in a chance of getting his fingers to move right where you needed them the most, but he held his grip firm.
“Oh, I am back to being Wonnie?” he cooed, sliding his middle finger down to your hole, tracing the outline of it, teasing you more, “Think it’s kinda too late to be obedient, ain’t it?”
Your body tensed as his finger continued to tease you, shivering spreading across your body and knees buckling.
“Please, Wonnie,” you begged again, tears threatening to form.
“Awe,” he cooed again, “Fixing to cry? Stop being a baby, grow up,” he threw your words back at you, and oh god did it turn you on more, you cunt getting more wet, your slick now sliding down his hand.
“Fuckkkk,” Jungwon groaned, seeing how your juices pooled into his palm, his free hand unbuttoning his pants, pushing his boxers down with his pants, his hard, red, and angry cock being set free.
Using his other fingers to scoop your wet from his palm and sent it over to his cock, sliding his hand from his tip and down the shaft, “So fucking wet for me I can use your wet to cover my cock without even so much sliding into you.”
You backed your ass into him again, once again begging, “Wonnie, do something please.”
He smirked, sliding his middle finger into your soaking cunt. You moaned out with a smile on your face, finally feeling part of what you were craving.
Jungwon fingered your pussy in the same motion of him fucking into his fist, small moans and gasping leaving both your lips. Your moans grow louder when he slips another finger inside you, pumping them in and out faster.
“That's it, baby,” he gasps, “Being a good girl now that you’ve gotten what you wanted, you still don’t deserve this cock though.”
You whimpered, the craving for his cock inside you growing more and more, “Please Wonnie, need you inside. I’ll be good, I promise.”
He chuckled, pushing his fingers in faster, “No you won’t.”
You smirked, lifting your head to look at him, clenching your cunt around his fingers at his fucked out face. His pupils are blown out, his mouth gaped open as his hand pumps himself and his eyes stare back at you.
You bit your lip, keeping that eye contact with him as you now rocked your hips in sync with his fingers.
The corners of his mouth curled, “Looking at me like that still won’t get you what you want, you’ll get this cock when I say so.”
But you plead with him anyways, going back to being a brat, “Oh, come on Wonnie,” you bat your eyes at him, “You know you want to fuck this tight, wet cunt. Want to feel me wrapped around you.”
He snarled at you, fingers now curling inside you, hitting at all the right spots, “Talking like that won’t get this dick inside you faster, princess.”
You dropped your head back to the table, unable to keep it lifted as the knot in your stomach tightened, nearing the edge of your orgasm, you clenched tighter to his fingers.
Jungwon quickly slid his fingers out, denying you the pleasure of the feeling of orgasm. Jungwon was also getting closer to his climax. And if he was going to cum it was going to be in that sopping wet cunt of yours.
Before you could protest the missing of his fingers, his tip pushed into you, shutting you up real quick. Jungwon loved how fucking wet you were to allow him to slide in with such ease, his hips connecting to the fat of your ass, completely bottomed out.
Your knees buckled as he slowly pulled out and then quickly pushed back in, fucking you hard against the table. He leaned over, laying on top of you, stretching his arms out above your head, pressing his palms hard against the wood to use as leverage to fuck into you harder, to help push him further into you, wanting to break any barrier that stopped him from actually prodding into your cervix.
“Fuck, Wonnie,” you moaned, “F-feels so good.”
“Yeah?” he bites the shell of your ear hard, a yelp gasping your mouth that sends your cunt clenching around him.
He released your ear, one hand coming to your head and turning it to face him more, his lips attaching to your mouth. Tongue pushing past your lips and down your throat, moaning into your mouth and you moaning into his.
He finally pulled away to get a gasp of air, a string of spit connecting between your tongues before it broke and slapped onto each other's chins.
You clenched tighter around him at the feeling of his dick twitching, his thrust now becoming sloppy, but never wavering.
“Fuck, gonna cum soon,” he hisses, his hands now snaking underneath you, hands cupping your clothed tits as he lifts up, bringing you with him, spreading your legs further apart with his knees and fucking into you faster again, wanting to feel you cum around him as he releases inside you.
With your orgasm fast approaching, you dropped your jaw, letting out loud wet moans.
“Yeah, baby, keep those moans loud, let the neighbors hear how much of a fucking slut you are for me, for my cock.”
“Wonnieee,”
“Keep screaming my name, baby,”
You let out another moan, your climax hitting its peak, your body going limp against your boyfriend as he fucked you through the high.
He squeezed your tits tightly as he reached his own high, his hot white cum painting the walls of your cunt until it was leaking from your hole and slipping down your leg.
Jungwon kissed your neck, his hot breath sending chills down your spine.
He pulled out of you, turning you around, picking you up by your thighs, and dropping you onto the table, his fingers gripping your chin and pulling your face closer to his.
“Want to keep acting like a fucking brat? Want to keep pissing me off?” he whispered in a look of warning, his face clearly showing he was still very mad.
You smirked at him, “You’re still being a baby over whatever happened at work, dontcha think it’s actually time to get over it?”
Jungwon clicked his tongue, smiling back at you. He only fucked out half of the anger he felt, still plenty more to rage out.
He slid his fingers to the hem of your shirt, sliding it off your body and biting his lip at your now naked body as he took his shirt off and dropped it to the floor next to the rest of your clothes.
He pushed you down aggressively against the table, his cock more red and angry than before, “Guess you still haven’t fucking learned to not fuck with me when I’m pissed.”
You and him both knew you’d never learn.

football game - nmr
summary: football player!riki x reader - going to your boyfriend's football game || warnings: none || genre: fluff, established relationship || word count: approximately 1000 (this was just meant to be a small thing but I really got into it lol)
I sat in the bleachers at my school's football field. I honestly wasn't a big football fan or even just a sports fan in general but I always made sure to come to my boyfriend's game if I could to support him.
So, as I said, here I was sat in the crowded bleachers outside of my school. Usually, my best friend would come with me to Riki's games but she had to watch her younger sibling today so here I was all alone.
I genuinely didn't mind though. Although I didn't really have any type of clue on what exactly was going out there on the field, I enjoyed being here for Riki. This is what love is, I guess. Doing these for your significant other because it makes them happy. And, I mean, I was happy to see him.. even if I was completely lost this whole time.
I sat in the bleachers as I kept my eyes glued on Riki. The only way I knew it was him was his jersey number if I was being completely honest due to his helmet. I followed after him, always looking for the number ten whenever I lost sight of him.
Eventually, the game came to an end and our school ended up winning the game. I got up and cheered for the team by mostly for my boyfriend, of course. I saw him take off his helmet and watched as he combed his somewhat messy hair back out of his face, smoothing it down a bit with his fingers. He then looked up at me and gave me a somewhat cocky smile, proud of himself for helping his team win the game.
I smiled back and waved at him, he waved back. He then motioned over to our usual spot that we'd meet up after his games. I nodded in response, signaling to him that I understand and he nodded back before looking over at his teammates and going over to them, happily talking to them assumingly about their win.
People started getting up from their seats and piling out of the bleachers. I slowly made my way out, not in much of a rush since I knew that Riki would wait for me and besides, I wasn't about to get injured just because I decided to try and rush.
At last, I made my way out of the bleachers. I scrolled through my phone, skimming through the notifications and I headed to Riki and I's meet-up spot. I got there and went on my phone as I waited for my boyfriend.
I was interrupted by the sound of someone calling my voice. I looked up, knowing that it definitely wasn't Riki since this voice was more feminine and was met with a girl that I was friendly with in my History class.
"Y/n, hi! I didn't know you were coming to the game today!" She says.
"Hey, Riley! Yeah, I always come to the games." I tell her with a smile as she walks over to me.
"Oh, that's right. You're dating someone on the team, right?" Riley asks and I nod. "Riki, right?" She then asks.
"Yeah, Riki." I confirm with a nod and a smile.
"He did good today, girl." She smiled, playfully slapping my arm, making me giggle.
"I know." I agree with a smile.
"Anyways, I gotta go but I'll see you Monday. Have fun with Riki." Riley tells me.
"Thank you. See you Monday, Riley." I say and we both say a quick 'goodbye' before she walks away.
Suddenly, two arms wrap around me from behind. I tense a little but loosen up when I hear a familiar voice, "Hey, baby." I hear my boyfriend say. He rests his head on my shoulder, leaning down a bit as he pecks my cheek.
I pull away from Riki with a wide smile that I couldn't seem to control as I turn to face him. "Riki, you can't just come up behind me like that!" I whine but we both knew that I wasn't actually upset.
"Oh, come on. I'm sorry, Y/n." Riki says, giving me a small smile, well, more of a smirk, actually.
"You did good today." I tell my boyfriend, changing the subject as I gently take his hands in mine.
Riki squeezes my hands as he looks down at me with the same smile, "Really?" He asks.
"Yeah." I say, stepping a little bit closer to him.
He leans down and gives me a soft kiss. I kiss him back before I pull away, "Okay, you're sweaty." I say.
"Oh my gosh." He laughs as he puts his arm around me, the both of us heading to his car.
He opens the passenger door for me and I get inside his car. He shuts the door for me and I buckle my seatbelt. He then gets in the drivers seat and starts the car up.
Riki takes the aux cord and holds it out for me to take, "Go ahead, play your music." He says. He always let me play my music in the car. I always thought he did that for everyone until his friend, Sunghoon, was in the car with us and got really offended that Riki just handed me the aux willingly since apparently he never let anyone else play music in his car but him when I wasn't there.
I connected my phone and put on one of my playlists as Riki pulled out of the parking spot. He put his arm on the center console and put his hand in my lap, his fingers interlocking with mine as he drives with his other hand.
We drive in silence, well except for the music, but what I mean is that we drive without speaking for a little bit. Suddenly, Riki lowers the music a little bit for a moment. I glance over to him and looks over at me, "How about you come to my place, I shower, and then we go out for a little late night walk?" Riki suggests.
"Sounds good." I say with a smile.
"Good." Riki reflects my smile as he looks ahead, putting the volume up again.

jungwon x reader | smut, so 18+
jungwon can be so dramatic sometimes — especially when he's feeling jealous.
"i'll be back, pretty, okay?" not too long ago he'd excused himself in hopes of finding the bathroom. however, upon his return, jungwon wasn't overjoyed seeing you talking to someone else — someone else, that wasn't him. it didn't help that you were nodding and smiling along with the stranger.
his eyes won't leave you, not even for a second. jungwon stands in the corner of the exhibit, chewing on his bottom lip.
"oh, 'wonie!" you waved him over, "baby, come here!"
"hey," jungwon exhaled, his hands immediately found your waist. "who's this?" you looked at the stranger and then up at your boyfriend, "he's friends with the artist. cool, right?" he was quiet for a couple of seconds, hesitantly he replied, "yeah, cool..."
jungwon's voice remained hushed for the rest of the night — of course you'd noticed his sulking. he was much more interested in whatever you were sating earlier on, now, jungwon'd just nod and stare at you, blinking.
" 'wonie, s'something bothering you?"
"baby... you like me, right?"
"jungwon," you deadpanned — "i love you. what's going on?"
he'd tell you, explaining how "you were smiling at that stranger." he's so cute, all worried. you couldn't help giggling, "are you laughing at me?" his eyes were wide, unsure if this was a good thing. "you're so cute, 'wonie." leaning over the (car) seat, you give him a chaste-kiss. "let's go home... 'show you h'much i love you, baby."
when you and jungwon arrive home you're sure to kiss him before falling to your knees, and palming his bulge through his pants.
"p-please, y/n... don't tease me." a breathy sigh escaped his lips. "okay, baby..." you unzipped his pants, pulling them down along with his briefs. jungwon's cock sprung free, his cute, puffy tip drooling in front of you. you placed a kiss on his tip, giving the surrounding area kitten licks and wet kisses. "ah! c'mon, pretty."
"you're so impatient, 'wonie. " smearing the precum on your lips, you fully wrapped your mouth around his cock — "mouth's so warm, shit..." he hissed, jungwon's finger found themselves tangled in your hair. you swirled your tongue around his dick, one hand jerking off the base of his cock while the other cups and kneads his balls. "s'so good, sweet girl... fuck! s'good."
you hummed, the vibrations travel through his cock, ripping a sweet moan from his lips as you continue sucking him off. you gagged, feeling him push you further back onto his cock. spit and slick coated your chin and the base of his cock. the knot in jungwon's stomach wound itself tightly before snapping into two. "fuck!" he pulled you off of his dick, spurting thick ropes of sticky, hot cum on your cleavage. "aw, baby... i liked this shirt."
bonus round !
jungwon repays the favor by fingering you. his long, slender fingers work and stretch your cunt so well. it's not only for your pleasure, he'll whimper above you, "s'so wet... tight little pussy's creaming 'n taking my fingers so good..." his fingers scissor and curl inside of you, kissing your g-spot perfectly. he loves making you cum all over his fingers so he can suck them clean — extra points if you squirt everywhere.
guidelines and disclaimers ! missed you guys ! mama's back from hiatus, happy to be here 🩷 😋

៹ bf!enha when you're too friendly with another member.
▸ ִֶָ tags est. enha x reader, humor + fluff + kissing + teasing. warnings! && mentions of possessiveness, jealousy. ✿ 0.5k words —
Tumblr media
## HEADCANONS UNDER THE CUT !
lee heeseung !
he's not really a very jealous/possessive person
you learn this early on in your relationship, too. he's never been like that, heeseung trusts you a lot
but all you've ever encountered before this situation was a few stupid guys at a restaurant or park asking for your number
if it's someone closer to him,, he's not the happiest
he sees you laying on riki's shoulder after a long day, and it doesn't really upset him. it's just—you're his
you're too sleepy to really notice how he sits besides you and moves your head to his shoulder instead
riki doesn't say anything, but definitely teases him about it later on and you're just like ???? when'd this happen
heeseung cares for you deeply but he also trusts you, so it's rare for him to ever get extremely jealous
park jongseong !
he doesn't care. like actually
he could not care less—unless it happens more than once
then, he's definitely a little upset about it
you're dating him, there's no need to seek so much attention from any of his members when you have him
all in all tho, he won't really get mad unless it's something serious
sim jaeyun !
pouty
just frowns when he sees your arm linked with sunoo's
probably won't actually say anything about it, but you'll notice his mood is a little off
"what's wrong?" "why didn't you hold my arm instead??? :("
he's not like a toxic possessive or anything, it's more like he needs to know that he's all you need/want, and if he feels otherwise it upsets him
just give him reassurance and he's all smiles again
park sunghoon !
flat-out jealous. "what are you doing?"
sunghoon is very reserved, and you're one of the only people he opens up to
he feels a sort of protectiveness because of it. he needs you, and he hopes you need him just as much
so he'll either voice his distaste for your affection w another member, or literally just take you away from them. he has absolutely no problem with walking up to you, grabbing your hand, and leading you away
you tease him and he pretends to hate it but really he can't help but be happy you're close to him instead of anyone else
kim sunoo !
he's too cute to resist tbh
the only way you'd ever seek out another member's affection would be if he went out for a little bit, going to the store for you or wtv
if he comes back and you're still clinging to heeseung, he's so sassy
"sorry, did he become your boyfriend while i was away???"
fr tho, he isn't mad but he'll definitely act like he is so that you'll cling to him instead
only forgives you once you've peppered his face with kisses
yang jungwon !
i honestly think jungwon wouldn't really even acknowledge it?
like yeah, he sees your head in sunghoon's lap
but . . . it doesn't really register?
as the leader, he's close to all of the members and he trusts them a lot. he trusts you just as much
he's the type to join you and lay besides sunghoon's other side
he's just chill ab it honestly
nishimura riki !
he's not the best at hiding his emotions. riki's facial expressions literally cannot be missed
so even if he doesn't say anything, the disgusted glance he shoots you & jake as he lends you one of his hoodies is painfully obvious
he wouldn't describe himself as possessive, but you know the truth
probably won't touch you until you take a shower because—"ew, you smell like jake"

Thank you 💙
Hi anonie, i'm so glad you like reading my works and thanks for requesting! I've been busy so I just saw this >﹏< .
Woah okay this song is so beautiful like its just so desperate and heart wrenching ugh. I felt like a right person wrong timing trope/ ex lovers would work really well for this, which is what I've tried in this story. I hope you like it!

Late evening, a busy Friday, the neon signs of Seoul glow beneath the shadows of its sheer clouds. The streets are packed with people, all of whom walk with urgency. You watch as tides of people sway in and out of the enormous skyscrapers you weren’t used to seeing here. They stood their ground, massive, and haughty, reminding you of how much had changed  since the last time you were here.
Ten years ago, before you left Korea in a haste for university in New York.
Your eyes wander past these buildings, all of them stuck to each other side by side until all you saw were buildings running into the horizon. You find your feet dragging along the intersection slowly, massive crowds of people rushing towards you until you reach the other end, where there was a bus stop. You also find yourself in a daze, the unfamiliarity of the streets coming back to hit you as you keep confusing the road signs, and your 'left-and-rights'. The bus stop is also busy, a crowd of office workers holding on to the seats.
You stand to one side, going back to your newfound hobby of “Spot the differences”- differences between the Seoul in your memories and the Seoul of today. Just how Seoul had changed so drastically, you realised you had grown older, a noticeable change in how you carried yourself.
You were no longer a naïve student, excited yet afraid of the future. You were an adult, with experiences that had changed your outlook towards life, realising how much you’d matured over the years.
By now your eyes discover that the glass-like buildings end with one even taller than the rest, adorned with billboards. This building, however, is one you recognise. It was HYBE, the reason you had flown back to Korea.
You’d received mail from them 3 months prior, an invitation to collaborate on a music video. As a rising director, with awards being showered upon you for the last year, you were excited. They were going to debut a new girl group and wanted your unique style incorporated, while you had a chance to diverge into a new format. You had come out late this evening looking for inspiration, anything about the city that aligned with your vision. Your eyes go back to observing your surroundings, stretching your neck as you try to see where the building ends. Your eyes find the massive billboard sitting at the very top, displaying a face you’d gotten so used to knowing.
A face that you tried so hard to erase from your memories.
Like you, he looked extremely different compared to ten years ago. He was unrecognisable. His red hair was framed so perfectly, highlighting his cheekbones compared to his rounder cheeks when he was a teen. Like Seoul, he felt unfamiliar, so different from your memories of him.
You don’t know why it didn’t hit you before. Seoul had become cruel, and unlike your fame, his was explosive. To everyone except you in Seoul, Yang Jungwon was familiar. His and his band’s billboards adorned the road into HYBE, and you’re not sure why you didn’t recognise him earlier. This person you’d grown so used to knowing was now a stranger.
When you first got on board with the project, you were fearful thinking about your path crossing his. You eventually shrug them off, calculating every possibility. He’s a superstar, packed with schedules, touring for all means. He wouldn't be present in any of your meetings. he would merely remain that- a billboard that used to be a memory. Plus you believed that fate, which kept you apart for ten years would not be so unkind to you. Fate always had your side, it wouldn’t betray you.
So why was it, as you’re setting up the cameras next week, and greeting the younger, cheerful girls that you see the man you so hate, get out of his car in the periphery?
You feel your breath hitch, voice trembling slightly. You don’t want to see him. You turn your back towards him, bringing your attention back to the eager girls who don’t notice your predicament, as you focus on the script.
You hear his steps caving in closer, as his solid boots hit the concrete. The only thing louder than which would probably be your pounding heart.
“Scene 8 involves a fight between you and your supposed boyfriend.” you ramble on, pretending to give them a breakdown of a scene. The girls fiddle about, their eyes shifting between your face and behind your head.
You pause, a good guess as to why.
You hear the girls’ voice getting higher as they bow and introduce themselves. “Please take care of us, sunbaenim,” their leader, Yunah exclaims.
You gulp, feet stuck to the ground. You hear a small chuckle, a sound so familiar it could bring you to tears. “Mm, long time no see,” he replies and you're not sure who exactly he was addressing, despite feeling his eyes on the back of your head.
You can smell his perfume, the same strong woody scent that you had gifted him ten years ago. Everything from his voice to his appearance had changed, yet some things remained the same.
You let out a sigh, straightening your back as you finally face him, a poor attempt at being professional. A poor attempt at pretending like everything was okay. You’re too afraid to even look at him, to even say “hi”. What would you even say?
'Why’d you leave me out of the blue?' or 'why couldn’t you have told me earlier?' All of which were questions that would open up a box locked up in your heart. A box you don’t ever want to open again.
Your eyes eventually find his ones, unblinking, with new intensity reflected back. His expression is undecipherable.
You feel his eyes wander all over your frame, from your hair to your hands, as though he were also trying to take in all of your presence, and everything it meant today. He seemed to be taking it so much better than you, seemingly calm, as though you were the only one shaken by the years past. Like he didn’t even remember you anymore.
You feel your assistant director nudge you out of the ghosting silence. “This is Jungwon, he’ll be our cameo since our actor got hurt this morning.” Your eyes follow as the towering figure bends in a bow.
“Please take good care of me,” you hear him whisper, to which you blink in slight surprise. You remind yourself that it was a greeting, and not a nod to your shared past.
You’d cared plenty for him. Except he ran away. How could you be sure he wasn’t going to do it today?
You nod stiff, before walking away hurriedly towards your monitor. You hear your assistant director apologise on your behalf, as you fiddle with your monitors, checking with the other staff.
Anything to distract yourself with.
You look back at the script, realising that he would be playing the role of the estranged boyfriend. You scoff at the irony.
It was funny how the person you’d written this scene with in mind was the one playing it. It was funny how everything came back full circle just to kick you in the ass.
You’re monitoring the shot of him being pushed away by one of the girls, as she walks out of his life. In what was supposed to be a liberating scene, you don’t know why you now felt pity. It held you back, his remorseful look, his pleading eyes, his figure against the concrete wall.
You stop the cameraman who was about to pan from Jungwon to the girl. His tears you knew were fake wouldn’t stop, and his eyes looked into the camera in desperation. You find your heart stop with the way he looks at you through the screen- pitiful, and upset, yet so, so distant. His hair was wet from the fake rain created, and his lips trembled against the cold breeze. His left hand is on his heart, clutching onto his drenched shirt, as though all of the universe’s pain was consolidated there. But somehow, he still looked so good.
You feel a tear rolling down your cheek, landing on your closed fist, bringing you out of your visceral thoughts. “C..Cut” you finally say, realising how swept up you were in your own emotions. You see him sigh and lean back against the wall, staff running to help him.
“You okay?” you hear your assistant director ask you, seeing your shaken state. You nod to her, gulping down water as you see the boy approach your side.
“Jungwon, your acting was so good it made y/n cry,” your sound director chimes in once he notices your actor stationed at a monitor. The boy doesn’t say anything, choosing to give him a wry smile.
From the corner of your vision, you see his beady eyes following his previous performance, which under normal circumstances you would consider impressive. But both of you knew the bigger performance was pretending to be sane near each other. He leans in closer when the camera zooms in on him, and you feel his breath fanning you ever so slightly as he gasps.
“Woah, I thought we were going to film Iroha walking away,” he says surprised when he sees himself on the monitor for a prolonged time.
“Hmm that was y/n’s call” someone says behind you.
You close your eyes, anticipating all the questions he has, but he remains silent. You stare at your AD who understands your queue, rushing everyone for a break. After all these years, you still feel suffocated despite promising to push him out of your memories.
You notice that he doesn’t leave immediately, instead grabbing a chair close to you. His hair falls in front of his eyes as he stares at the grass below you.
“You’ve changed a lot,” he says, his voice hoarse, fingers fidgeting with the pen you were using. You don’t really know how to respond.
After all those years, is that all he was going to say? After ghosting you for months, after removing you from his life so cruelly, you find his audacity baffling.
“Obviously I’ve changed, you’d know earlier if you’d even left me a text,” you reply in spite. You see his fidgeting stop, instead holding it so tight that it digs into his palm.
“I had my reasons,” he whispers. You scoff visibly irritated.
"Don't play with me Jungwon," his name rolls off your tongue just as smoothly as it did so many years ago. More tears threaten to spill, and you're afraid of people observing the two of you, knowing how rumours spread.
You get up in a haste, and walk towards the washrooms. Jungwon follows behind wary, eventually pulling you away from the main set, until you reach a building close by. You stop, with your back against the wall as he gets closer.
"Why would you think I'm playing with you y/n," you hear him say, tears rolling down his big eyes.
You didn't have the energy to ask him anything. Unlike your racing thoughts, the silence surrounding the two of you was comforting. Saying anything meant confronting a truth buried deep in the past.
As though he could understand your distress, he lets out a deep sigh.
"I'm sorry y/n," he finally says, confirming something you've wanted to hear for so long. "I was scared."
The tears from your eyes don't stop either as he continues.
"I had just debuted back then, and my career was on the line."
Your sobs get louder, and you feel pain inching closer to your fears, all stuck in your suffocated heart. So far, you'd guessed the reason as to why he disappeared so abruptly. Hearing it directly from him made it worse. "I loved you, I really did," he says, his hand trying to hold yours, which you shirk away. He pauses.
"I was given an ultimatum," he becomes softer. "I didn't know how to tell you. I knew it would hurt us."
You clench your fists, looking at everything else he could've said.
"It still hurt us didn't it?" you whisper.
You see him nod slowly. You pull yourself off the wall, reaching into your pocket, fetching for tissues. When you find some, you hold some out for him to take. Both of your eyes had become puffy, and it didn't help how obvious it was that there was tension between you. It must've been half an hour since you had left the site, and the others must've noticed your absence.
"Why don't you head on, my AD will continue the shoot" you say, trying to hail a taxi as you walk onto the busy road.
"Please don't run away ," he pulls you back, now pinned against the wall. "Don't leave me again y/n," you feel him lean his head on the wall, next to you. He looks beyond fatigued and instinctively you feel your hands go behind his broad shoulders, rubbing his back.
"I really missed you," he whispers continuously, breaking down in your arms.
"I missed you too Jungwon, so much that I'd even collect your posters just to see your face," you confess. You notice him smile slightly, before he giggles. "I'd never imagine you to do that," he says and you match his laugh, somewhat embarrassed.
For the first time in a long time, Yang Jungwon saw you smile. It was as gorgeous as he remembered it, as inviting as it had always been. Unlike the Seoul that remained so stale, your smile brought life into the city. It brought life into the last ten years that he couldn't find.
Your lips arched into the perfect 'U' and all he wanted to do was feel them on his. His hands go behind your neck as he looks into your eyes. "Can I kiss you," he whispers gently. You don't reply, instead pulling him in as if you desperately waited those 10 years for him to say this.
All these years you didn't realise what you missed, until this fateful kiss. In this moment, it didn't matter what your past was, or what the future would hold. Nothing mattered now, as long as you were wrapped up between his arms, tethered to his lips.

MDNI - Here is Part 2
You ever just… think about corrupting sweet little naïve Jungwonie? Asking for a friend….
Jungwon is quietly sipping his soda and scrolling through his phone when you sit down across the table from him in the college cafeteria. He lifts his gaze over his thick rimmed glasses to meet yours. He gives a shy smile, his left dimple peeking ever so slightly. Adorable. “Engineering major, right?” you ask him. He nods. “I usually sit two rows behind you in biochem. It’s really cute the way you doodle all over your notebook.” You point at the tattered journal in front of him. “What do you think about when you’re daydreaming during the lectures Jungwon?” Peeling your banana, you lock eyes with him and slowly wrap your cherry red painted lips around it.  His eyes widen, watching you take it in deep. Effortlessly. His Adam's apple bobs as he swallows hard. You pull the banana back out until the tip is on your tongue. “Mmm.” Jungwon’s mouth hangs open. Baby boy is so shook, it makes you absolutely confident that you will make him cum untouched when you get him alone. You smile at him before taking a bite. “I’m sorry. Such a personal question. Where are my manners?” You take a sip from your water bottle. “It’s uh.. it’s ok-kay.” He stammers, adjusting his glasses and trying to regain his composure. “Do you have a partner for the project yet?” you ask. He shakes his head no. “I bet you’re good with your hands, aren’t you?” You click your tongue. He slowly nods. “I’ll be your partner. I can teach you a lot Jungwon.” You take his phone from his hand and enter your number into his contacts. You hand it back to him and collect your things before standing up. “See you in class, partner.” He gives a small wave before he looks down at your number in his phone. ADTF Noona. “What does that even mean? I’ll ask Jake Hyung.” He mumbles to himself.

tiktoks enhypen would make with you.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
happy 3 years of enha!!! to celebrate here's my first ot7 enha headcannon !! i hope you guys enjoyyyy.
genre: fluff. established relationship.
warning: links to tiktok. i do not know anyone in the videos below. not proof read.
Tumblr media
LEE HEESEUNG ‧₊˚❀༉‧
he's not one to outwardly ask to make tiktoks with you, or be really on top of current trends. however, you thought it would be funny to record his reaction to you playing the "water" song associated with the tiktok trend to see if he would look over. it was something most people were doing with their boyfriends and it looked funny. heeseung was well aware of the "water" trend and even did the dance for you one night to make you laugh. however, he did not know people were testing their boyfriends to see if they would look over in attempt to see a girl doing the sensual dance on the screen. so when you take the video you both can't help but laugh uncontrollably. watching him playfully sulk in the corner was also an added plus.
PARK JONGSEONG ‧₊˚❀༉‧
a lot like heeseung, jay is aware of tiktok and maybe some trends however he had never need the lipstick trend you had been dying to do with him. so when you show him the tiktok he can't help but smile a little at the fact that you wanted to do it with him. as you placed the kisses all over his face he giggled and looked in the mirror. it was safe to say that jay had never been covered in lipstick like this before so it made him extremely giggly. even made him want to snap a selfie once you had planted each kiss and made sure the lipstick stain was visible on his tanned skin. you'd have to film the video multiple times because he'd get a little too distracted while looking at you. theres no hiding the love in his eyes for you... fr.
SIM JAEYUN ‧₊˚❀༉‧
he was the one who saw this trend on his fyp and showed you the videos. he thought it was the cutest thing and literally begged you to film it with him. after a couple days on convincing you said yes. so on your way to your dinner date, jake props up his phone on a street lamp and with out rehearsing much filmed the interaction with you. what you didn't expect was for him to lean in and kiss you so passionately and aggressively as he did. in between kisses all you can hear were his happy giggles because he knew he took you off guard in the best way possible. so that one and only take was the one he used to upload, and man he was reaaaaaal proud about it.
PARK SUNGHOON ‧₊˚❀༉‧
you've been dying to post something cute with your boyfriend on social media, however sunghoon is so anti pda and couples content it took him a little bit on convincing. luckily, when you showed him this trend he realized he hardly had to be in the video and the focus was on you, which in his shy nature he really enjoyed. so when you guys went outside to film it, he didn't think about his speed or force. grabbing you to his chest a little too roughly made the both of you burst out into laughter uncontrollably. he obviously apologized for almost snapping you in half in between his sweet smile and chuckles. and when you both looked back at the video, sunghoon begged you to post it because he just thought the end result was way too funny not to put out there.
KIM SEONWOO ‧₊˚❀༉‧
sunoo loves scrolling through tiktok, he's on all the trends and knows all about the "sassy man apocalypse". and is very proud to say he is in fact part of it. he always talks about how you're so lucky to have such a soft, sensitive, and sassy boyfriend to keep it real with you all the time. however, he never thought you would make a tiktok like this and post it. he honestly had no idea why you were filming him while he played on his phone, and of course gave you the hardest side eye on earth. but, later you show hin the video you made and it made him laugh. he knew he had to watch his facial expressions moving forward because his face said it all in that video. yes you have a sassy man but you wouldn't have it any other way!
YANG JUNGWON ‧₊˚❀༉‧
being honest, jungwon has always let you know how much he hates cringy couple tiktok trends and tends to make fun of them. so one day when you're out in the park he sees another couple doing a rather sweet looking trend and it makes him want to immediately make fun of it. so when he gives you the idea of spinning and then running at you at full speed you laugh and agree. while filming you couldn't help but notice his bright dimpled smile coming at you at as he ran towards you. you fought the urge of stopping him in his tracks and kissing his excessively cute face and ran away as instructed. watching the video back, the both of you couldn't help but laugh. it ended up being much cuter than intended but, you guys were always an unintentionally cute couple.
NISHIMURA RIKI ‧₊˚❀༉‧
riki is the definition of your hype man. if you do something he stands and watches happily all the time and usually hypes you up while doing it. so when you pull out your phone and prop it up while on a walk home after dinner, he couldn't help but watch you dance to your little tiktok song. if he's being honest, he's not a tiktok type guy and a little like jungwon finds couple tiktok trends kinda cringy and honestly most tiktok trends cringe in general. he's always in his head about looking cool... but, when you encorage him to dance a little he gets kinda into it making it fun for both of you. looking back at the video he thinks it's funny and actually kinda cute. but he never expected you to post it. it was just a video of the two of you messing around like young people do, deep down however he's actually kinda happy you're showing him off... even if it is on tiktok.

👾he fell harder: yang jungwon
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairing: jungwon x afab!reader word count: 5.7k
Tumblr media
synopsis: jungwon and you have always been competitors from children to adulthood, mostly when it came to gaming. so when the gaming club you both are apart of joins a competition, the two of you are put on the same team…
genre: gamer!won, gamer!reader, enemies to lovers
warnings: stupidly cute wonnie, swearing, gaming fun, a lot fluffly towards the end ♡
Tumblr media
“Okay everyone, come collect your room keys and head to your respective rooms until you are called back down for practice. We will select your team members then.” Heeseung, your game club manager, yelled at the top of his lungs while standing on the hotel's lobby chair.
The professor in charge of this little miniature work/college/vacation clapped his hands twice to signal everyone to line up for their room keys.
“Hopefully I get a room with a balcony!” you rolled your eyes and sighed at the annoying voice in your ear.
You slightly turned to look at Jungwon, a smile spread wide on his face.
He wasn’t even speaking to you, but the fact he had to stand RIGHT NEXT to you when there’s a whole lobby full of other college students in your club he could be standing by.
You finally received your room key from Heeseung, and Jungwon got his right after.
“Y/N! What room do you have?” he cutely asks, trying to peak over your shoulder at the room number on the paper.
You scrunch your nose at him as you turn the paper away from him, “None of your business Yang Jungwon!” You retort, shoving your room key and paper into your jacket pocket.
Jungwon mimics your facial expression adding in his nasty side eye.
Heeseung calls everyone to head to their rooms, and to your dislike, Jungwon was right behind you as you got into the elevator.
“Oh? Going up?” he teased, as the other students filled in behind him.
You ignored him, watching as another student pressed the fourth-floor button. Silently blessing that kid for doing so that is why Jungwon couldn’t see which floor you were on. Because god, if he knew what floor you were on…the ways he would annoy you.
Your heart raced faster at each stop and not seeing Jungwon get off the elevator.
Maybe he was a few floors up?
Finally, the fourth floor was reached, you quickly stepped out, not realizing Jungwon was right behind you.
Jungwon couldn’t help but smile, his hands sliding down into his jeans pockets as his eyes searched for his room number, stopping at his door and seeing you stop at yours.
“No way,” he laughed, making you jump, “Neighbors again for the week!”
You slowly glared at him, making a mental note to unplug your hotel room phone the minute you got inside.
Quickly slapping the room key to the door and hearing it unlock, you rush yourself inside, locking the door and the hard bolt lock for safekeeping.
Dropping your backpack and suitcase to the floor, you fell onto the bed, your face going into the sheets as your favorite baseball hat fell from your head.
The vibrations of your phone pulled you out of your almost nap, your hand reaching into your pocket and pulling the device out.
It was a text from your best friend.
Tumblr media
You didn’t even have to explain yourself to her, just your smiley face alone was enough for her to place the puzzle pieces together.
Tumblr media
Locking your phone and dropping it by your face and rolling onto your back as you stare up at the ceiling.
It wasn’t always like this with Jungwon, being enemies. You actually have known him your entire life.
You grew up in the same neighborhood, his house being directly across the street from yours. Your parents became friends quickly after they moved into the house across from yours. Your mothers both ended up becoming pregnant around the same time just added to the friendship your families have. What was icing on the cake was you being born a week after Jungwon.
Your mothers always arranged play dates and was not only an excuse for the two of you to grow up as best friends, but a way for them to spend time together. Same with your dads.
The amount of cookouts the families would throw together. You couldn’t even count on your hands and feet with how many times you’ve seen the Yang’s backyard.
It wasn’t just the play dates, your parents made sure you and Jungwon attended the same daycare after they returned to work and even enrolled you both at the same preschool. Your parents would even have the two of you take bubble baths together as infants, and they have pictures to prove it.
Your family was always at their house or them at yours. Heck, even Jungwon’s older sister was tired of seeing you around so often. Not like you could have helped it.
Your friendship with Jungwon slowly started to change once you got into elementary school when the fight to be top of the class with good grades was introduced.
Jungwon and you have always been competitive, even before elementary school. With toys, drawing, board games with the family, and even the stupid little games toddlers play like seeing who can run faster or drink their orange juice faster and not get sick.
Just the competitiveness got worse once grades got involved, and it didn’t stop there. Family nights with board games got worse. Rushing to see who can finish their homework first and get the least amount of questions wrong. Fighting to be at the top of the class. Sports. Band. Taekwondo. You name it, you both probably got competitive over it. Even getting into the same middle and high school was a competition.
It drove your friendship apart halfway through elementary school, and you’ve been enemies since.
But the god giving fate your families have for the two of you to finally makeup, you both were accepted into the same college. You groaned after finding out from your mother that he was also accepted. But once you moved into the dorms, you were happy to find out his dorm was on the opposite side of the campus. Plus both your majors were two separate things, so seeing him was slim.
But your happiness soon faded after you walked into the video game club and saw his shit-eating grin staring back at you with his Nintendo Switch in his hands as a pokémon battle song played through its speakers.
Honestly, you should have known he would also join the gaming club. You both grew up as gamers after all. If there wasn’t a board game or a handheld console in your hands, it was the PlayStation or the gaming laptop or PC.
You didn’t realize how much time had passed when a knock came to your door.
“Y/N,” it was Jungwon, “Heeseung just texted me, we are meeting downstairs in ten,” you rolled your eyes, forgetting how close Heeseung and Jungwon were, “Just wanted to let you know because I am heading down first.”
You quickly jumped from the bed, pulling your hat back on your head and your phone into your pocket, double-checking that you had the room key, and busted out the door.
You looked down both sides of the hallway, seeing Jungwon’s grin as the elevator door closed.
“Shit!” you scoffed, eyes then catching the door to the stairs.
You quickly ran down them, thanking whatever God gave you your athletic ability as you finally reached the lobby floor, hands pushing the metal on the door open, rushing through, and seeing Jungwon step out of the elevator at the same time.
He made eye contact with you for a split second before the both of you made a full sprint to the middle of the lobby where Heeseung was standing.
“Woah woah woah!!!” Heeseung yelled, holding both hands up to save himself in case you both knocked him down.
Heeseung held his hand to his heart once the two of you made a complete stop.
“Can you two let go of this never-ending fight?” Heeseung took a deep breath, standing back up straighter. Eyes looking between the two of you.
You squinted your eyes at Jungwon as he gave back the same look.
“Or not,” Heeseung sighed, dropping himself into the nearest seat, “At least sit-down or something.”
One by one the rest of the students piled into the lobby, Yunjin linking her arm with yours.
“Okay, everyone!” Heeseung yelled, standing back on the same chair as earlier, “We will put you guys into teams now!”
“Can I be on your team, Heeseung Hyung?!” one of the male students yelled from the back, causing the crowd to laugh.
Heeseung smirked and ran a hand through his hair, “It’s because I’m the best gamer right?” A couple of female students cooed out an “ahhh” as his reaction. You had to admit, Heeseung was a very good-looking man and you’d be lying if you said you didn’t have a tiny crush on him. He was indeed the best gamer in the club, hinting at the reason he’s the manager in the first place.
“I am just kidding, you guys are all the best which is why you’ve made it this far in this competition.” Heeseung gave another smirk as he looked around at the students.
You couldn’t help but smile up at him. But your smile didn’t go unnoticed by Jungwon.
His eyes stared at you from across the crowd of his club members, watching as you made heart eyes at his best friend while he was standing right beside him.
“Hyung,” Jungwon said, catching Heeseung’s attention.
“Right!” Heeseung continued, “Unfortunately, everyone has already been put into teams, and we have enough people to be put into ten teams of two. Once your team is called, please meet up with each other and discuss your plan for this week's competition.”
“Hopefully we are a team! We always fuck shit up as a team!” Yunjin whispered. You nodded, praying to be paired with her. The two of you always kill it at video games together. You’re so happy that she was not only your roommate, but also a fellow club member after you met.
A clipboard was handed to him and started to read off the names of each team.
Yunjin unfortunately wasn’t paired with you and was put on a team with the male student who asked to be with Heeseung.
Finally, your name was called…
“Y/N and Jungwon.”
Your jaw clenched as your eyes found Jungwon’s. You expected him to have his normal shit-eating grin, only to see he was staring back at you, a completely blank face. No expression whatsoever.
The rest of the teams were called and placed into their teams.
“Okay!” Heeseung clapped his hand against the clipboard, “Get into your team and raise your hand if you have any questions!”
Your hand flew into the air, standing on your tippy toes to make sure you were seen.
“Yes, Y/N?” Heeseung nervously asked, already knowing what the issue was.
“Can I switch teams?”
“Ahhh…” Heeseung glanced down at Jungwon who was mid-rolling his eyes at you. Jungwon felt his eyes on him, slowly glancing at his hyung, “Unfortunately the teams were randomly picked, and cannot be changed. It’s the competition rules, I’m sorry.”
You dropped your hand to your side, feeling defeated but also understanding.
This competition wasn’t meant to be fair. The whole point was being paired up with different people and going against other students from other colleges was it to be a challenge.
Heeseung slowly climbed down from the chair, making his way towards his partner.
Jungwon slowly walked up to you, his shit-eating grin finally making an appearance, “Hi teammate.”
“Fuck off, Won.” You sighed, crossing your arms as you started to walk away from him.
“That’s not very nice,” Jungwon smirked as he kept up with your pace, “We are teammates, gotta play nice.”
You stopped in front of the elevator, finger pressing the up button, “Jungwon, I’ve spent my whole life with you, can I please have some space?”
Jungwon glanced up as if he were thinking about it, “No.”
The doors opened and you stepped in, Jungwon right on your heels.
“Besides,” he said, pulling his phone from his pocket and checking the time, “We find out what the first game is tomorrow, want to practice?”
“No thanks, Yunjin and I are going to play Overwatch tonight,” you said without hesitation, leaving Jungwon wide-eyed as you stepped out of the elevator onto your floor, “Besides,” you mocked him, “We will start practicing tomorrow.”
You sat in the corner of the gaming cafe that was rented out for your club for the whole week.
You twisted around in the chair, eyes landing on Jungwon as he dropped into the chair beside you, his arms filled with snacks.
“You still like orange soda and candy right?” He set the soda and oranges flavored bag of candy in front of you.
The ache you felt in your heart while looking at the soda and candy made you a little bit sad.
Did he remember? After all these years he still never forgot your favorite snacks from when you were children?
You looked up at him as he opened his can of orange soda, “What? I know you’re staring at me.”
“You remembered?”
Jungwon looks at you, giving a small nod, “I never forgot.”
You glanced back down at your snacks, hands finally reaching to open the candy bag.
A smirk danced on Jungwon’s face as he took a sip of his soda and let out a small chuckle.
The soft feeling you just felt went away instantly, reminding you that Jungwon was no longer your friend but indeed your enemy.
“You annoy me so much, Yang Jungwon.”
His chuckle only continued, “What? You act like we never used to take bubble baths together as infants or something.”
“Shut up,” you snapped, pulling your baseball hat down to cover your eyes, “Just eat your snacks.”
Finally, once everyone was seated with their teammate, the official announcer of the competition came by and announced the first game round was League of Legends.
“The way this competition will work is we will have multiple rounds of each game, whichever team hits the first ten slots with their wins using the bracket method, will move on to the next round. Each practice day for the games will be two days.” The announcer explained the rules, and once everyone understood, he left to go to another school's cafe.
Jungwon cracked his fingers and his neck, stretching out his arms and pulling himself closer to the table, “LOL is way too easy, we’ll make it to the next round for sure.”
You nodded, also doing small stretches before moving yourself closer.
Jungwon and you have always been smart with strategy, attack, and defense games. Mostly since the two of you have had to use these three things with your self-competition.
The first practice day went in a flash. You rubbed your eyes and you dragged your feet to your room, unlocking the door and trailing in.
You wanted nothing but to shower, order food, and then go to bed. But being a gamer, and having friends who are gamers, wouldn’t let that happen so easily.
With a quick shower and food on the way, you sat at the desk with your gaming laptop open, joining your friends' discord call.
“Y/NINNEEE!!” Huening Kai sang through the mic as he saw your username pop into the call.
“Hello hello~” You sang back, “Hope you aren’t missing me too much in Bio.”
Kai scoffed, “As if, the class is a lot quieter now.”
“So was this call before Y/N joined,” Beomgyu teased, but then a soft sigh left his lips when Yunjin’s username joined the call.
“Wow, can’t believe you’re on a call without me!?!” she gasped.
“Oh gross, who invited you in here?!” Beomgyu groaned, his side eye being felt through the mic.
“It’s an open voice chat, asshole, plus I am ALWAYS invited in here!” she spat back.
You giggle at your best friend's banter, making you miss being back on campus.
You decided to open up League of Legends, better to get more practice in before the first round.
“Ugh! League?!” Beomgyu said disgustedly, “Why!?”
You roll your eyes, “Because it’s the first game we are playing for the competition Gyu.”
“Y/N, lemme in so I can practice too.” Yunjin hummed, “And anyways, you act like you were even invited to play?”
Beomgyu chuckled, “Don’t we always play games together? Isn’t that the point of being in a call?”
“Hyung, we are literally playing phasmophobia right now. Kai sassed, “We need ONE MORE piece of evidence to find the ghost.”
“But I am scaredddddd” Gyu pouted.
You once again found yourself laughing at your friends, only for your smile to fade when you see Jungwon’s username pop up on the left side of your discord showing you had a message from him.
You opened it seeing it was just him asking for an invite to the league match, which you ignored. You already practiced enough with him today and will all day tomorrow as well. He can deal with it.
Jungwon slouched down in his chair, staring at the discord message he sent you, debating if he should send you a call instead, but stopped at the sound of your laughing and hearing Huening Kai’s name come from your mouth.
Jungwon sighed, you were clearly with your friends.
The second day of practice also flew by quickly, the first competition day being finally here.
The competition was being held at a small center, just big enough for the gaming clubs and the officials.
Your team was placed in the third round of brackets, so there was plenty of time to get your nerves under control.
You sat in the bleachers, watching the current game on the massive screen in the middle of the room that was filled with each player's screen.
“There you are,” Jungwon said, flicking his index finger to your hat and sitting beside you, “You ready?”
You shrugged, “We practiced enough, I was confident until watching the way some of the teams from other schools play.”
Jungwon nodded, “Yeah they are good, but we are better.”
You looked at him, his eyes slowly finding their way to yours as well, “You’re competitive through and through aren’t you?”
He smiled so wide his cute dimples you loved so much as kids made their appearance, his ego also coming through, “Well yeah, of course! I am literally the best gamer in our club.”
You rolled your eyes, dropping your chin into your hands, “I can’t stand you.”
“I hear that often.” He teased, reaching up and taking your hat off your head.
“Hey! Give it back!”
“Since when did you start wearing hats?” Jungwon asked, placing the hat on his head, “How do I look?”
“It brings me luck! Now give it!”
You snatched it from him, placing it back on your head.
“Damn,” he hissed, “Didn’t bring you enough luck since you got stuck with me as your teammate.”
Jungwon stretched his legs out and leaned back on his hands, releasing a sigh and shaking his head.
All you could do was stare at him, you struck a nerve with him.
The final round ended, calling for the next bracket of players to make their way to the gaming area.
“Come on,” Jungwon stood up, sliding his hands in his pockets, “Let’s kick some ass so we can go back to the hotel.”
You studied him and his body language, this wasn’t like the normal Jungwon you knew.
He sat quietly in his chair as he placed his headphones over his ears and set his mic up properly to his liking.
You tried to focus on the monitor before you, but the tension was high between you and your teammate. You already knew being on the same team as him was going to be hard, you just didn’t expect this.
The announcer started the game, and your focus narrowed in.
Jungwon’s whole demeanor changed right back into the competitive boy you knew the moment the game started.
Before you knew it, you and Jungwon were being crowned as the victors of the first day, moving on to the next round.
The gaming cafe went larger as the teams from your school who didn’t make it past the first round were sent home.
The second round was Overwatch, which sent you and Yunjin looking at each other from across the cafe from the excitement.
Since Overwatch is a six-player team, two other teams will be put together for this round.
The first and second day of practice came and went. Your confidence boosts knowing this next round will be a piece of cake.
You jumped onto your gaming PC, loading up overwatch and fixing to send Yunjin an invite when your phone vibrates, receiving a call from Jungwon. You ignored the call, hovering over Yunjin’s discord username when a string of texts spams your phone.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Jungwon made his way inside your hotel room, pushing his chair with his laptop and snacks in it.
“We can’t be up too late you know,” you raised a brow at him, “We have to be at the center early.”
Jungwon shrugged, setting up his laptop beside yours, “We can play for about an hour or so.”
Jungwon watched as you sat down beside him, pulling your headset over your ears.
His heart raced to see you in your cute pink sweatpants and black hoodie, your hair pulled back into a messy bun.
His palms got clammy from the sudden nervousness that washed over him. He’s known you since birth and sees you as a good rival, why is he so nervous over you right now?
Maybe it’s because all Jungwon wants to do is confess everything he’s been hiding all these years.
That he hopes being on this team with you can rekindle what was broken and win you back, but so far it hasn’t worked.
He opens his mouth to say something, just to close it just as quickly, and sets his eyes on his laptop screen.
As the overwatch game went on, the more friendly the both of you became with each other. With small jokes and Jungwon reaching over to press random keys on your laptop just for you to swing his hand out the way as you laugh.
God, it made his heart race even more. To finally feel like things were back in place.
You had to admit you enjoyed this moment. It felt like you actually had your childhood best friend back.
But how long would this moment actually last? Until you got back on campus for the rivalry just to start again?
You cleared your throat, snapping Jungwon’s attention to you, “It’s late, I think you should leave.”
Jungwon’s smile faded, nodding softly as he gathered his things, leaving you alone in the room.
Your overwatch team left the gaming area cheering. You’ve made it to the final round.
Yunjin’s and even Heeseung’s teams were knocked out early on in the day. Which made you sad to see your best friend go.
Heeseung was stuck there since You and Jungwon were the only team left from your club still in the game, which surprised you that Heeseung was knocked out. He was the best gamer you knew.
The final contestants that remained, pulled you against your will to a bar to party.
Both you and Jungwon weren’t social butterflies, but Jungwon was able to blend in with the other students perfectly fine.
You, on the other hand, were slowly inching your way closer to the front entrance, making your sweet escape.
Tucking your hands into your jacket pockets, you slowly made your walk back to the hotel, thinking you finally got some peace until you heard the scuffling of shoes running after you.
“Y/N!!”
You rolled your eyes, you just can’t get away from him, can you?
“What, Jungwon?” you sigh, walking a bit faster.
“Where are you going? I noticed you were gone.”
“Back to the hotel, obviously. Please go away.”
Jungwon could sense something was…off.
“Hey,” his voice filled with concern as he wrapped his hand around your forearm, “Y/N what’s wrong?”
You shook your arm from his grip, staring daggers at him.
Jungwon dropped his arms at his side, raising his eyebrows at you, “What? Why are you angry with me now?”
You groaned, “Because! You won’t leave me alone!”
Jungwon scoffed, “Maybe I want to spend time with you? With my teammate? Is that so bad? We literally kicked ass today, yet you’re upset with me?”
“Yes! You’ve been acting more friendly than normal with me lately! Not your usual teasing me and showing off like you’d always do!”
Jungwon narrowed his brows at you, very much confused, “You hate me when we are rivals, and now you hate me for trying to be friends with you? Pick a fucking struggle Y/N.” he shoved his hands into his jean jacket pockets, twisting the hand warmers with his fingers as a distraction.
You laughed, “Why are you even trying to be friends with me anyway?! Everything is just going to go back to normal once we step foot back on campus! So why?! All you have done is suffocate me since we’ve been here!” you took a deep breath, rubbing your fingertips at your temples, “I was so looking forward to having a somewhat relaxing time here with Yunjin as my teammate and us as normal rivals but good lord my luck has actually been shitty like you stated the other day.”
Jungwon licked his bottom lip as he stared down at his sneakers, trying to keep his eyes dry, “I asked Heeseung to put us on a team together.”
You looked at him confused, your body relaxing a little, “What?”
Jungwon looks back up at you, his eyes glossed over, “I asked Heeseung to pair us up. The plan was originally to have everyone draw names from a bowl but I…” he looks away from you, staring off down the street, “I asked him to just pair people up and make it seem like it was random and to just give me you.”
Snow started to fall from the sky, slowly collecting in his soft dark hair.
“Why…?” you softly whispered.
Jungwon chuckled, reaching a hand to scratch his face as if it would help him find the right words, “Because I wanted to rekindle our friendship. I wanted to leave this competitiveness behind us. To fix what got broken, Y/N, it’s my fault why things got the way they are now.”
You didn’t know what to say, so you stood there, continuing to listen to him.
“I thought it was just us having fun, just two kids being stupid until it got to my head. I enjoyed winning. I enjoyed the praise from everyone. And because of that, our little games turned into hatred. To us being enemies. It’s my fault that I let go of our friendship. I kept this rivalry going for all these years because it was the only way I could keep you in my life.”
You looked down at the ground, your hat covering him out of your sight completely.
Jungwon took a deep breath, “I miss you. So fucking much. I wanted this trip to bring you back to me. That’s why I tried so hard. I wasn’t trying to suffocate you, that’s the last thing I want.”
His footsteps got closer to you, and by habit, you clasped your fingers on your hat bill, pulling it down as you looked even further away.
“Y/N, look at me please.”
You were scared too, scared to look at him and he sees how much you’ve also missed him. That you were blinded by the rivalry into thinking you hated him. You wanted your best friend back, but did you deserve him?
Suddenly you felt the pull of your hat being taken. Jungwon’s fingers lift the bill up exposing your face.
You made eye contact with him not even for a second before his free hand cupped your jaw and pressed his lips to yours.
Jungwon pulled your body closer to him, deepening the kiss as his tongue pressed against your lips to allow it in, sliding it against your own tongue.
Your hand gripped the openings of his jacket, holding on for dear life as your head spun.
The last thing you expected tonight was to make out with your best friend as the snow fell.
But it was romantic nonetheless.
The sounds of a car honking on the street pulled you two back to reality.
You jumped away from Jungwon, wrapping your jacket around your body.
Jungwon smiled, placing your hat back on your head, pulling the bill down way too far in a way to tease you.
“I am also in love with you, Y/N.” Jungwon didn’t expect him confessing his feelings to you would be exactly like this, but what better way than right now as he’s teasing you like old times?
Once Jungwon’s hand was gone from your head you looked up at him, trying to make sure you heard what he said correctly.
Jungwon rubbed his thumb against your cheek, “I have been in love with you for as long as I can remember,” he tucked his bottom lip between his teeth and then released it along with a sigh, “I’ve loved you even as kids. For some reason, I always knew I loved you, and as the years went on, I only came to understand my feelings for you more and more.”
Jungwon slid his hand from your face down to your hand, taking it in his own, “That's another reason I asked Heeseung to pair me with you. I wanted to apologize for letting you go, for choosing the competitive life over the one we could have had together if I never let you go. If I told you from the start how I felt.”
Before you could say anything, the partying students finally left the bar, their loud voices echoing over to you and Jungwon, causing him to drop his hand to his side, taking a few steps away.
“Let’s go, we have a long couple of days ahead of us.”
The walk back to the hotel was quiet.
The last and final round of the competition was a battle royale.
Jungwon bounced in his chair, excited as battle royale was his favorite.
You, on the other hand, weren’t the best at them.
No amount of practice the last couple of days was enough to prepare you.
You even snuck over to Jungwon’s room and begged him to help you, letting you in with a roll of his eyes saying you would do perfectly fine.
You were good at battle royale, yes, but after finding out the team you were up against was KNOWN as battle royale players.
You even so much as went and stalked their Steam and Twitch accounts. All they play is battle royales.
The day of the finale came faster than you’d like.
You twisted your fingers together as you stared off in the distance of the gaming area, your headphones dangling around your neck.
Jungwon looked over at you, placing his hand on top of yours.
You looked over at him, his dimple smiling being enough to relax you.
“It’s okay, we will kick ass,” There he goes with his confidence, “I am the best at battle royales, and you are also good at them, we got this. Just stick to me.”’
You nodded, giving a soft pout when he looked away and released his hand from yours.
The announcer started the game, and the finale began.
You stuck to Jungwon like glue, looting the area and switching guns out for better ones as the timer ran down.
One by one you and Jungwon took out each team you came into contact with, but that was solely because of the fact Jungwon always comes in clutch in hard situations.
Until it came down to the last two teams. Yours and the team you were worried about.
Jungwon gave orders as you followed him to the next and final circle, sliding and hiding behind a building.
Jungwon pulled his sniper out, aiming down sights to see where the enemy team could be. You crept into the building, doing one last final round of looting and reloading, ready to walk out, when Jungwon screamed beside you.
“Wonnie?! What?!”
“Don’t leave that building!”
You did as you were told, peaking your head out a window, seeing Jungwon down one of the players, just for the second one to pop out of nowhere and down him.
“Fuck!” Jungwon scoffed, dropping his headset down around his neck and rolling his chair to your side, staring at your screen.
“Y/N, you need to down him before he picks up his teammate.”
Your fingers shake against the keyboard, as you quickly run out from the building.
“You got this,” Jungwon reassured you.
You run up behind the other player, “What if I don’t?”
“Baby, listen to me,” him calling you baby was enough to make your heart race even more, “You got this, okay?”
You nodded, switching your guns quickly just in time for the other player to turn around and start shooting, but you were quicker. Sliding out of the way, and getting up behind him with a shotgun in hand, pulling the trigger and downing him. The title of winner flashed across your screen.
“I did it!” you shouted, turning to look at Jungwon, “We did it!”
Jungwon high-fives your hands, his fingers intertwined with yours, shaking your hands back and forth, “We did it!”
With no hesitation, you leaned forward, pressing a quick kiss to his lips.
Jungwon was too stunned to say anything, eyes blinking rapidly.
You pulled your headset down around your neck, letting yourself hear the outside world.
“I am in love with you too,” You smiled, heart nearly beating out of your chest, “I always have been and just covered it up with the hatred I had. I’ve missed you too, and you weren’t actually suffocating me, I said that out of anger and confusion, I—“
That’s all Jungwon needed to hear, shutting you up by pressing his lips back to yours, cupping your hands softly between his hands.
All he cared about was winning you back, and he did. Winning the gaming competition was just a bonus.
He made you fall for him all over again, only he fell harder than he did before.
