You've probably noticed that I'm not the biggest Aaron Boone fan, but I gotta give it to him.... he chose to go to his son's graduation instead of attending the game tonight. I don't always agree with his decisions about the Yankees, but I totally support his decision to go to his son's graduation! He's a good dad, and I respect that very, very, very much. Happiness is elusive, so this is a good exercise for me to think about it. Hmm… 🤔

My family. We’ve always been super close, and I’m so grateful for that. Especially the last few months, we’ve all really been there for each other. I adore being an aunt, it’s my favorite hat to wear.

My furbaby Oscar. My Sweet Boy. I can’t say enough good things about this little guy. He’s such a good boy, and such a sweetheart.

Stargate sg1. The show, the fandom, everything. I’ve made great friends over the years through shared love of this show.

My friends, particularly my pocket friends. I don’t really know many people IRL, but I do have amazing pocket friends, including all of you! I’ve met some incredible people, especially here on tumblr.

Laying in bed, super comfy and cozy. It’s just such a nice, peaceful feeling.

A bonus answer, because I actually thought of a sixth thing when I didn’t think I’d be able to come up with five! Watching baseball with my dad. We watch most of the Yankees games together (yay for the YES Network) and get really into it. It’s something that brings us closer together, and I love that.

Ooh, and a seventh! A really good cup of coffee. Whether it be my regular coffee with French vanilla creamer, or my fancy Starbucks order (triple grande white mocha with 1.5 pumps of white mocha, nonfat milk, whipped cream, and caramel drizzle). All together it’s delicious, but there’s something special about savoring that first sip.

Thank you for this ask. I took time while answering it and it made me grateful for what I have that brings me joy. Most of the time I can’t see it, so it was a pleasant surprise that I could come up with so many things.

Michael Toglia hit a homer run yesterday against the Yankees. His father, who grew up in New York, was a big Yankees fan. Michael gave his father the ball from yesterday's game that he homered with. Mike wears the #4. He used to wear #7 because he loved Mickey Mantle, but he now wears #4 because his dad loved Lou Gehrig. What a great son!! 😍

Dear Gus & Magnus,

Gus's team played in an end-of-the-season tournament. They won on Saturday (in a game we didn't go to because Gus chose the party instead), but lost tonight. It was more fun to watch when they actual kept up with outs and runs and strikes. I wish they had been doing that all year.

But the thing I want to say about tonight was how disappointed I was in myself as I watched Gus strike out in each of his three at-bats -- they didn't hit off the tee tonight -- and hang his head on his walk back to the dugout. He was also playing in the dirt at shallow left-center as the ball was hit right to him -- he had no idea. I should have worked with him more. I should have explained the concept of the game better. I should have taken him to a Traveler's game or something. We're so busy and trying to do anything more than simply survive feels too ambitious right now, but still, I feel like I let my son down. I could have been better. And I'm sorry.

If neither of you ever play baseball, it's okay, but I promise to do better in giving you the know-how you need to succeed, or at least enjoy being out there. I promise.
