Now that the matter has come to the point of ceasefire but remember this is not the final destination. Our goal is to see #freePalestine, to take steps to end the illegal occupation , to put a full stop to settlers’ colonialism. To end apartheid!! The woman speaking in first video is a Jew and she is taking a stand for Palestinians because she can feel their pain But still if you think that Why should We stand for Palestine issue? Here are some reasons: 1. Humanity is at stake - Innocent lives including children who have just come in this cruel world are being bombed just to satisfy the hunger of man to occupy more land. If you are not moved by the situation than what will implore you to raise your voice? 2. Al Quds is a sacred place for the Muslims all around the world. It's the first Qibla and the third holiest site as mentioned in the Holy Quran and Hadith.  (Please check photos 2,3 and 4 in the carousel) 3. Allah ta'ala directed Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) to Al Aqsa where he led the group of Prophets in congregation before he was raised to sky on the night of Isra and Mairaj. 4. The land has seen many prophets in various times including Hazrat Ibrahim (Abraham), Hazrat Lut, Hazrat Yaqub (Jacob), Hazrat Yusuf (Joseph) to name a few.   5. Our fellow Muslims are suffering as a result of settlers colonialism, they are unable to breath freely in their own homeland. (Please check photo 5 in the carousel for Hadith) We should feel the pain they must be going through, they are protecting our blessed and sacred site with everything they possess. Zaafrani K H E E R Ideally I should be sharing the sheer khurma recipe that I am making right now as I share this post but since it’s in the making i thought to wish you all a very happy Chand 🌙 raat with this kheer I made last week in the Iftar dinner that we hosted for our friends last weekend. I usually don’t like bragging about my food but this kheer impressed me so much, not exaggerating at all. It turned out so good, I am so proud of myself 😄 I usually prefer making English desserts but for Eid, the traditional ones are the best bet. What do you think? I just realized this picture never made it to my feed. Came as a savior in these last days of Ramadan when I am unable to work much on the content and was badly searching for a picture to post 😅 This is crispy honey chili chicken by @foodfusionpk. Easy and quick recipe, turned out pretty good too. Presenting the king of chutneys - THE IMLI CHUTNEY It is one of the two chutneys I miss from Pakistani Wedding buffets. The other one is (Plum) Aalu Bukharay ki Chutney and since the aalu bukharay aren't available here so my only refuge is imli chutney. It's one in a year kinda task for me to make the said chutney in bulk and then enjoy it all year round. Haha The only step I hate about making this is the daunting task of sieving the pulp, other than that it gets prepared on its own. Yesterday, my battery was quite low when I opted to make it and I didn't even stirred it once after putting on stove. Added the spices and voila, it was all done. Please refer to the recipe on blog (link in bio) for the detailed recipe. I got a couple of questions regarding the storing part (when I shared that I am good for an year with it in the story), addressing them below for everyone else too coz imma over efficient, haha. Hope it helps :) I keep this chutney in the veggies section in refrigerator and it lasts for as long as you take the time to consume it, for real. My last batch of chutney lasted over an year, trust me. You just need to take care of these small things while storing the chutney and it’ll last longer. ➡️Keep it in airtight containers. Typically I (re)use the readymade ginger garlic paste jars or anything of the sort. ➡️The chutney should be cooled down before you transfer it to your storage jars. ➡️The jars must be clean and dry when you fill them up with the chutney. ➡️Use clean and dry spoons to scoop it out later on to avoid mould and fungus issues. Also, The consistency of this chutney is not too much runny. Now tell me Which team are you? *OOTD ALERT* Do you know why I felt so great that day? If you remember the day I am talking about 👀 Because in addition to enjoying ‘ME TIME’ with my Welly beauties I successfully managed to fit into this skirt that I picked long ago from @sacoorbrothers (referring to the time when I had easy access to hundreds of brands while living in the UAE 🙈🤣) I was on cloud nine because lately I’ve been eating a lot and I have the license to do so because my baby is under an year right now 🤷‍♀️ haha. I can’t diet or eat less or anything of the sort! *period* Loved sporting the look with pleated long skirt. Do you know that pleated skirts are quite in these days? I didn’t know about it. Not on the day I wore it because I wear what I feel like wearing rather than going with the trend. The only person I need to impress is ME 😄 By now, you must’ve got the idea how much i love this skirt because I’ve been only talking about it since the beginning of the post 🙈 Moving ahead, I paired it with @seedheritage shirt which is super comfy and the belt is from the same brand too. It matched perfectly with the shirt and gave an illusion of long dress to the whole look. 👗 The heels are my forever favorite from @charleskeithofficial. You must’ve seen me wearing these quite often. Sharing a very raw piece of prose I wrote sometime back. I wasn’t sure whether I should post it or not but then I thought let’s just do it. Also, I really don't know whether it even qualifies to be called a prose or not. 🙈 Swipe left to read it, please. We love ourselves, We love our family, We love our friends, We love our job, We love everything that this world offers… What is LOVE? A feeling of submission, A feeling of need, A feeling of care, A feeling that forces us to prioritize someone else's happiness over ours. And we do that willingly. We are ready to give up our everything for our 'loves', We can't afford them leaving us. The mere thought of it disturbs us, gives us goosebumps. We become restless, uneasy, uncomfortable! We do everything within our limit and reach to make our 'loves' happy, To make them stay with us, We just can't let them go! And if our 'loves' leave us, We feel hurt, We feel empty, We feel anxious. Can you relate? Every one of us has someone/something we 'love' like that. No? And there's nothing wrong in 'loving' people and things that matter to us. But have you ever thought, Do I love ALLAH- the creator of the universe the way he is supposed to be loved? Do I feel content when I do things that Allah wants? Do I make effort to make myself look good in front of Allah? Do I submit myself completely to Allah's will? Things become simpler when we do that, Decisions become easier. Our other 'loves' and relationships become better. And you know what the best part is? ALLAH LOVES US More than we can imagine and doesn't want us to leave him ever 💕 May Allah guide us towards him May we feel fulfilled in his complete submission May we be satisfied in Allah's will. In New Zealand, we moved to COVID-19 alert level 1 on Tuesday in which life can get as normal as it can be in a situation of global pandemic. It is such a relief, alhamdulillah! People all over the world are acknowledging Jacinda Ardern's dedicated efforts which eventually led the country to this point in such a short span of time. And fairly so, her hard work paid off. People in Pakistan are also doing the same. I received some messages in which people said that they want to borrow her for Pakistan so that she can play her role in eliminating the virus from there. Surely her leadership skills are applaudable but you know what she said in her last press conference? "THANK YOU NEW ZEALAND". She acknowledged the common man for supporting her throughout the difficult time, for listening to her when she asked them to STAY HOME, STAY SAFE. She used the word 'TEAM' for a population of 5M because Kiwis acted together in their collective interests. Had they not listened to her, the situation would've been different. So, the point I want to make here is, it's not the sole responsibility of a PM (or the government) to take measures to eradicate the virus from Pakistan. COMMON MAN needs to listen to what they are being told (or may be people in Pakistan think they're too VIP). We have been listening 'We are in this together', yes we are. But we need to take steps to come out of it together too. Now people will say, it's easier to manage a population of 5M in contrast to Pakistan whose population is almost 42 times the population of NZ. It definitely is, but I think it's more about mind set rather than numbers. To address the poverty issue, again, people need to work together as a team. BE KIND. Identify and help the people in your neighbourhood, who need support. Mind it, If you are not concerned about your own wellbeing than no JACINDA in the world can help you, seriously. Indeed, Allah will not change the condition of a people until they change what is in themselves. (Quran [13:11]) Every individual's role is VITAL as every piece in a puzzle is! The ‘15 min Club Sandwich’ I shared this yesterday in my stories and 96% of you (who voted) asked for the recipe, the other 4% were happy to eat a pakora which isn’t a bad choice either 😄 Swipe left for the recipe from scratch but yesterday I didn’t make it from step one. As I had already shared • I was not in a mood to do much effort • I did not want to consume any fried item • Time was short ( I literally started making it after 5pm and our iftar time is around 5:20 these days) And the best part was that I had a fried patty of chicken zinger resting in refrigerator from last night (whose coating obviously turned soggy-est and couldn’t be used in making a burger) So I got rid of the coating, chopped it into small pieces and used it instead of the shredded chicken. 'Jab khud Maa banogi to pata chaley ga!!'- Ammi would say this quite often and we used to laugh it off when we were younger. I remember once we went to Murree, we (siblings) tried to take a sneak peek down a high winding road which wasn't secured by a railing. Ammi was terrified and even though Abbu was with us, she was constantly refraining us from moving ahead while holding hands of 2 of the youngest ones among us. The whole situation looked hilarious to us that time and we made fun of it. Fast forward to today, I find myself doing the same with E when she attempt any such acts of bravery. Now I realized what Ammi has been warning us about in all these years. It is a pity that even as a woman, a daughter is not able to understand a mother's emotions. You know what's worse? A Mother degrading another mother! Too often we see mother in laws pressurizing their daughter in laws about how efficient they were in their times, Sister in laws giving unsolicited advice on how their brother's wife should raise her children, friends bullying each other on the basis of how (well and better) their kids are performing - be it potty training or weaning, totally random ladies on a support group demeaning one another, sometimes even own mothers finding fault in their daughters' upbringing preferences. If we remove the relations from above paragraph, we'll be left with mothers criticizing, judging , disgracing and lowering each other. What a shame! This mother's day lets pledge together to be kind to our fellow mothers. Let's not humiliate each other whether we are feeding formula to the baby or exclusively breastfeeding. Let's not pull each other's leg on the basis of vaginal or caesarean delivery. Black Forest Gateau - we baked for E’s Quarantine birthday 🎂 This year we had plans of celebrating E’s birthday with a big party. Who knew that Almighty Allah had planned something else. Remember I did so much chopping yesterday and told you guys that this will yield two different items when posting the ‘daily quiz question’ in stories😁. But showed only one item out of those two... well, I did post the soup but it’s recipe doesn’t call for any cutting or veggies, right? Anyways, the pictures of yesterday’s food came out so good that i thought why not post it separately and give you guys an idea that might be of help too. As you know I chopped carrots, capsicums, cabbage and green onions - all of which are required in making the filling for spring rolls and chowmein both. So, my plan was to make spring rolls in bulk and store them for Ramadan hence i decided to prepare chowmein in dinner. Ek teer se 2 shikaar!! 😈 Because making dinner is vital too - can’t order or dine out coz life in lockdown is trending these days 😆 Not to forget, I did 70% of chopping with my food processor... I love all it’s functions! Yayy This way I optimized my performance and also managed to prepare dinner too while taking care of the feeding, changing nappies and sleeping schedule of baby Y. Not to forget entertaining E simultaneously was also taking place in the house. 🏋️‍♂️ Oh and about that soup, I made it coz it all was getting so simple and I like to make my life challenging 🤣 Though this is just an innocent little suggestion but it’s the little things that count.
