Something about Sang-woo that's really fucking me up is that his face and his whole look is really soft. Like you'd think it's sharper because of his character and personality but it really isn't. Like whenever I draw him I catch myself drawing him with a lot of sharp features and then I'm like "No, make it rounder, make it softer". Even his hair is very soft and has round shapes, Even his glasses, while being square in shape Have Round Edges!!! I don't know if that was intentional and if yes what exactly it's supposed to show. Maybe it's literally just because Park Hae-soo was the best actor for the role and that's just what his face looks like. But either way I love the contrast. How a character that appears (!!!) so sharp and not that caring has such soft features. Which tbh that fits again because deep down I think Sang-woo is a soft caring person, he's just not showing it because he probably feels like it will make him appear weak or some dumb shit like that. Beloved <3

Also compare it to In-ho who has very sharp and angular facial features. Even his hair is a lot less soft when he's the frontman, he only makes is softer when he pretends to be Young-il!!! That's what a villain usually looks like. So in conclusion, Sang-woo can't be a villain in Squid Game cause his face is too soft for that <3 /hj

Kizuna ran her fingers over the faded scar on her stomach. It had been so many years since her best friend told her that, but it kept her going.

Her beauty had stopped meaning so much to her after that. She stopped wearing so much makeup. She stopped with the intense skin care routines and let her skin wrinkle and blemish. The moment she got her first gray hair, she accepted it.

Hell, she didn't even care about the stretch marks that appeared on her thighs and belly. It was natural, and she loved it.

If Kanata had taught her anything, it was that it was okay to not be perfect. She didn't have to struggle up the mountain to reach her mother's expectations, and that... that's what mattered most to her.

"Kizuna!," Ayame called from down the hall, "are you just about ready? It's Akira's wedding today, we gotta get there early!"

The pinkette tore her gaze from the mirror, a sorrowful sigh escaping her lips. "I'm coming, dear! Just tying up my hair!"

Ayame grunted playfully at that, but no more was said.

"Kanata," Kizuna whispered to the mirror after a bit, "i hope you're proud of me. I've changed, I've become better... your sacrifice wasn't for nothing. Thank you for believing in me."

And then she headed on her way, to celebrate something-- someone-- that she was most proud of.

Like wow i don't even know what to say, the way you wrote Kizuna accepting the effects of aging without trying to hide them or look younger all because of how much Kanata helped her get through this kind of mindset, and how she's still very dear to her even tho she's been dead for a long time now,, that's just so sweet

Akira being someone she's so proud of is awesome too because i love picturing Kizuna wanting to be the best mother she can to her even if she screws up at times. Knowing first hand how it is to grow up with shitty parents, she wants to give her something she didn't had growing up :]

Oh hey! Thanks for giving me something to help occupy my free time (and also motivating me to bingewatch a bit more of the SMG4 series prior to the Puzzlevison arc…because admittedly I was clueless who some of these characters where and had to educate myself on the lore again lol). It was very fun to analyze which personalities or canonical interactions indicate shipping compatibility! Very cool idea! :3

But needed disclaimer that I still haven’t fully committed to watching all of SMG4 episodes from start to current year yet. I’m pretty new to the fandom since Puzzlevison was my introduction to the story (although I was semi-aware of Melony beforehand because of Vannamelon’s YouTube channel but UH THAT’S A SEPARATE SIDE TANGENT SORRY). I’ve watched a couple parts from the Zero/Genesis arc, searched up episodes that feature specific characters on this chart so I got a better grasp of who they are + who they’ve talked to before, and yeah that’s mostly it lol. A few of the characters I’m still clueless about so uh…please tell me jksjsksp? Or I’ll probably figure it out eventually no worries 👍

I don’t consider myself strongly opinionated when it comes to ships. Think most of these I’m neutral on lol. But maybe it’ll change the more I get caught up with the series! Wait... the landlady's name is Masu too!! Just like the cook in Harlock 1978!

And with this one shot epilogue, we now have a full name for her. Masu Yamata. All this time I figured she'd be named the same as her Harlock counterpart, but wasn't 100% sure. This at least confirms it!

Also, this third(?) generation descendant of Nobotta is named Orita Oyama. Kinda the opposite name meaning of Nobotta's name, the first kanji of his name meaning to ascend while the first kanji of Orita's name means to descend. Interesting little detail there, considering what this fella goes through here lol.

So this one shot is set in a future Earth, possibly in the 2050s or so? Everyone's setting off into space, Tokyo's filled with smog, futuristic tech everywhere, local shops Nobotta always went to have all closed down, and we follow the descendants of the main Otoko Oidon cast. Meanwhile Orita's looking on at what's going on and is both confused and lonely, wondering "Am I gonna die?" like his 1970s ancestor would often say.

It kinda reminds me a little of the Spongebob episode, Gone, where Spongebob finds himself all alone in Bikini Bottom lol.

Eclipse is very mischievous! She is very prickly and defensive but once you get to know her, she is truly just a menace to society and a total gremlin. She just finds it hard to interact with most people. Even if her and Noir have a very tumultous, at times toxic, relationship, Noir is the only who sees her and treats her for who she truly is.
