oh also! yellowfang and raggedstar thoughts or wcr hcs? i feel like personally i always want them to either be a clearly bad and toxic relationship on his part or he’s better and they’re a healthy relationship. it reads to me like erins couldn’t decide, which is annoying.

additionally, it’s always been a hc of mine that russetfur is a foxheart and raggedstar kit!

Maybe I should do relationship pages. That sounds kinda fun.

Also, YES. I also really dislike this... Inability to decide. Finleap and Twigbranch is another one like that. There seems to be a reluctance to say "this is what abuse can look like", especially when the male would be at absolute fault.

Alright, consider this the first one!

Yellowfang × Raggedstar

What a doozy...

Everything started out well. Raggedpaw and Yellowpaw had a nice, budding relationship, one could even say courting. He was kind, charming, and liked talking to Yellowpaw. He could be arrogant, but he was never mean to her.

I think the "meanest" thing he did as an apprentice was toss snow at her. And she returned the favour!

But... Raggedpaw got older. More praised for his scars, his strength, his vindictiveness... He killed Shrewclaw, Heatherstar's former apprentice, which earned him his name. A reward for brutality.

Raggedpelt was getting more and more impatient with others, a sense of entitlement that would forever fracture his relationship with his brother. Clan culture at the time was ruining any goodness in him.

Not long after, Yellowfang got her name, and saves his life when he goes hunting for his father, as even though Featherstorm called Queen's Rights, the culture around it at the time wasn't as secure. Nobody could say anything to her face, but they could say it about her kits...

Yellowfang was struggling with her unwanted power, never meant to be hers. It was meant to go to the cursed child she would carry, but Starclan dropped the glimmer of starlight too early. Anyways, due to the sheer amount of pressure from Sagewhisker, Yellowfang gave in and decided that the only way to not be suffering the way she was all the time was to become a Medicine Cat.

That was an explosion. A fight that Raggedpelt dragged into public, screaming at Yelf for "not caring enough" about him, "abandoning" him. He felt like he'd been cut open, left to die of infection... Then he stormed off.

A few days later, he came back around, acting as if nothing had happened. Wanting to go on a walk with Yelf as if nothing was wrong at all. They went out, had a lovely time together, chatting and watching dragons fly overhead.

Sagewhisker was such an old fart... What she didn't know wouldn't kill her, right?

Well, one thing leads to another and Yellowfang is pregnant. But with her love for her Medicine Cat job, and hope that she and the very influential Raggedpelt will be able to try and change the code or bend the rules, she stays in her position. Raggedpelt... Doesn't back her up. Again with talk of abandonment, of supposed selfishness, that she cannot possibly do this to him... And Yellowfang snaps. She'll have the kittens, and then see what happens.

It happened. In that tree hollow, Wishkit, Hopekit, and Brokenkit are born. Wishkit is born asleep, Hopekit passes 10 minutes after, and Brokenkit seems... Off. Angry? In pain? Yellowfang cares for her son in the 3 short hours she has with him, before bringing him back to the camp, giving him to Lizardstripe, who is on the verge of going through a messy divorce while having to care for her 4 kits: Tanglekit, Deerkit, Runningkit, and Bristlekit.

Yellowfang realizes she is not going to be able to change the minds of Shadowclan, not when they treat a normal queen badly already. She gives Lizardstripe Brokenkit, and allows Raggedpelt to be a father alone.

He bullies her away from her own son, stamping out Brokenkit's interest in herbs. Yellowfang snaps at him, refusing to apeak to him again (aside from in a medical context).

He begins using Foxheart to hurt Yellowfang, but by this time, she ignores him. She doesn't love him anymore anyways. Foxheart is more of a character now, being Lizardstripe's best friend and known as a Shadowclan hero (the reasoning behind her... Odd name) as well as being loved by her half-brother/apprentice Nightstar. She was more than happy to use his affection to get herself up to deputyship. Foxheart x Raggedstar resulting in Russetfur is a great headcanon! WCR!Foxheart is firmly childfree, though she and Russetfur are also good friends, and Russ really looks up to her.

When things begin to go badly, Raggedstar comes back to her, begging her to do something about "our son".

"Oh. That's interesting. I'm not really sure what you're asking of me, Raggedstar."

"I'm asking you to help, I've made a mistake, all Brokentail wants is to lead us into more battles, we need to do something!"

"Raggedstar... Who is 'we'? What do you think I should do? You made it very certain to me already, I'm not his mother."

Did she mourn for him when Brokentail dragged his corpse back to camp? In a way, yes. Partly because she knew what would come afterwards.

Raggedstar found himself walking in the Dark Forest, and with Yellowfang firmly in Starclan with her Star Mate and support system, the likelihood of them seeing each other again is... None.

Whats Dreamtongue’s relationship like with Chanterelle now?

So that’s getting completely overdone, a full overhaul.

It starts with Raggedclaw and Chanterellefang. They had a very fast-burning relationship, so to speak; they sped through so many milestones and grew close in a way that not many Fenlanders did. For a time, they were truly a happy and affectionate couple, though with Raggedclaw being minorly controlling and often jealous… but then Raggedclaw’s true colors started to shine through.

After she was promoted to liaison (and heir) in the wake of her uncle becoming far more elderly and frail, she allowed the power to go to her head, and turned cruel, especially when it came to her relationship with Chanterellefang. Her brother, Scratchedwing, acted as the sire for their litter, and almost as soon as Chanterellefang was confirmed to be carrying, Raggedclaw became controlling. Micromanaging all of Chanterellefang’s actions, ensuring the safety of her heirs alongside her mate’s in turn, and overall just being incredibly overbearing and forceful. They fought… a lot. Loudly, physically, often. To the point in which Chanterellefang broke up with her publicly, and Raggedclaw snapped and raged in the wake of it. She became orator just a moon before Chanterellefang gave birth, and one of her first acts was to renounce Chanterellefang’s claim to the litter, and, due to the Fenland’s penchant for blindly following their orator without question, no one protested. Not even Chanterellefang, who knew she stood no chance in a custody battle with the orator, the leader of the faction.

Her kits were taken from her belly as soon as they were checked over by Sagewhisker. One stillborn, the two who lived were doted on by Raggedclaw, claimed solely by her and labeled her heirs. Chanterellefang was forced to watch from afar, though cats tend to talk regardless, and the hushed whispers of the Fenland cats tend to always be brimming with gossip.

The incident in which Larkspur was stolen and labeled dead just resulted in both Raggedclaw and Chanterellefang in tandem growing closer to their remaining kit. Chanterellefang had to be a bit sneaky about it, though, as Lizardstripe was always more than eager to rat her out, and relentlessly put the kitten down by telling him his dame didn’t love him and gave him up purposefully, but Oleander was just as clever as his dame; he adored her, and figured out their relation pretty quick. He looked up to her, adored her, watched her train Slugpelt and then begged his mother to let Slugpelt be his mentor in turn. She obliged, but their training was short lived, as little Dream (who named himself in light of his own dream of having a happy family with both his mothers) pretty quickly started to show signs of being an augur and his training was halted so he could be trained up by the only other augur in the fealty (i.e., Goosefang).

Foxheart came along shortly afterward. Jealous of the power Chanterellefang held (however briefly) as the partner of the orator, and felt as though she didn’t deserve to have her blood being taken into the Fenland’s line of succession. Foxheart wanted her blood in that line; she deserved it far more! And thus, she began brazenly courting Raggedclaw, who wanted to hit back at Chanterellefang alongside securing an heir that could take her role of orator (as an augur becoming orator was unheard of, truly!). And thus, Marigold and Mint were born.

And Dreamtongue looks on, expression darkening more each day, as he trades seats between his mothers.

ok so i said i would provide reasoning for greypool x yellowfang...  here it is! and yah, its listed out.  warning: long post.  1. Can bond over being mothers and losing their kits. similar experiences, can learn from each other. -yellowfang lost two kits during birthing and was left with only one surviving. She was unable to raise the third surviving kit and had to give it up to a queen who didn’t care for its survival or wellbeing. -graypool lost all three of her kits and was actively heartbroken by their deaths. She took in stonekit and mistykit when asked and was a wonderful adopted mother for them despite the loss of her three kits beforehand despite knowing the truth about their heritage. 2. yellowfang would likely admire and respect graypool for raising stonekit and mistykit as if they were her own instead of forsaking them like lizardfang ESPECIALLY when knowing their heritage as half Clan kits. 3. could talk to each other about their kits and what they did (yellowfang getting brokenstar off her chest to someone beside firestar and graypool talking about her kits’ mixed heritage and her sister’s only surviving kit, silverkit, who is briefly ignored by crookedstar following her birth. Also the grief of sister’s kits dying alongside her and the pain of it. 4. similar ages & died around the same time.  5. they are not related, which is a huge bonus. 6. graypool helping yellowfang after she is exiled and offering shelter at riverclan, which she either declines or takes before being driven to thunderclan. 7. yellowfang using her medicine cat status to visit graypool on riverclan land LOL 8. yellowfang having a reference point when dealing with raggedstar’s mixed heritage because of graypool’s mixed heritage and how she came to terms with it. 9. Yellowfang’s Secret and Crookedstar’s Promise happen very close in the timeline, therefore it's easy to write them as being together and seeing each other (needs to be double checked).  10. lesbian milfs come on 11. Gets her away from Rippleclaw, who was a warrior when she was a kit and even helped on the patrol to get her back from Windclan…Ick! 12. Funny segment where Yellowfang and Graypool theorized who the mother of Stonekit and Mistykit is from Thunderclan.  13. aka angst..mini reason but imagine greypool forgetting who yellowfang was before her death and truly forgetting after her death. like its so good.  and i mean, this list is mostly from just canon possibilities. think about if i bent canon a little to change some things up. they meet as apprentices during when yellowfang is dealing with the whole raggedpelt father situation. greypool briefly being in windclan as a kit when shadowclan attacks them. being hostile to yellowfang because her clan is fighting with her dad’s clan. yellowfang being a medicine cat also makes the forbidden aspect a lot more easier to withhold when she can just courtset onto riverclan territory or camp for little reason at times.  i could go on about this for ages and one day, i’ll form a cohesive plot for these two and their relationship dynamic perhaps BUT for now, back into the void i go with my brain rotating this around aggresively.

re-reading Into the Wild. Few notes:

- “Here’s Spottedleaf. SHe’s young and sexy. Here’s Darkstripe, he’s neither young nor sexy” - Graypaw to Firepaw

- The first person to get to Ravenpaw when he collapses is Goldenflower, both described and called by her name, so no possible doubt.

- the raw sexual tension between Spottedleaf and Tigerclaw (reciprocated)

like stop it with “Spottedleaf and Firepaw”, it’s out, Spottedleaf x Tigerclaw is a thing and it’s a thing that has canon evidence.

- Yellowfang being called an “old queen” despite queen being specific to mothers or expecting mothers. Hinting at Brokenstar. Also FIrepaw being like “do you have kids?” and her being like “what if we stopped talking for a while?”

- “Bluestar only takes for apprentices her deputy’s kits” no she never but then you know Graypaw you’re just six moons old you’re probably repeating something someone else said.

- The kits feel stuck in camp and get agitated when Bluestar forbids them to leave because of the fox: further proof that at the beginning, kits would leave the camp (with their mother obviously but still) often.

- Everyone is like “oh yeah Yellowfang, apparently she’s shadowclan medicine cat?” “oh yeah apparently after Raggedstar died, Brokenstar became leader?”, like both the leader and the medicine cat aren’t present at every gathering. Bluestar not even being sure who Yellowfang is, mention of Shadowclan “chosing” their new leader. Might be weak worldbuilding, might be the french translation.

i'm here to talk about warrior cat antis and i'm going to list a lot of cannon, problematic cannon pairings in here to prove my point (although take the last one with a grain of salt) <3

age-gap ones:

Thistleclaw x Spottedleaf (this is also abusive): Thistleclaw's son, Whitepaw is an apprentice while Spottedleaf is born (Apprentice is like 12-18) Thistleclaw grooms Spottedleaf while she is still a child.

Pinestar x Leopardfoot: Pinestar is older than both Leopardfoot's parents and is at least 100+ moons older than her.

Dustpelt x Ferncloud: Dustpelt is the mentor of Ashfur who is Ferncloud's brother (mentor is teacher) and he is flirting with Ferncloud while she's an apprentice.

Thornclaw x Blossomfall: (they were both adults when they met. but still one is much much older than the other) Thornclaw is like 60 or more moons older then her.

Scorchfur x Snowbird: now this is most likely the worst one besides Thistlespotted lmfao. Snowbird is way older than Scorchfur and Scorchfur got her pregnant while he was an apprentice.

Tallstar x Jake: okay, this one is going to get A LOT of hate. but let me explain. in pinestar's choice when Pinestar is an apprentice Jake is born. so when Pinestar is 6 moons jake is like a few moons old at most (no confirmed age then. he's just described as a kitten) then in Tallstar's revenge Pinestar is a full leader when Tallstar is born. so when Tallstar leaves and meets Jake, Jake is only six moons younger than Pinestar.

Bramblestar x Squrrielflight: this is a very abusive ship and there also distantly related cousins and Squrrielflight was an apprentice when they fell in love.

Crowfeather x Nightcloud: now there are countless fights about this one but Nightcloud clawed Crowfeather and yelled at him when he tried to break up a fight between their sons. but Crowfeather isn't exactly innocent himself. they later made up but still adding this here.

Twigbranch x Finleap: Finleap demanded Twigbranch have his babies and threatened to leave her if she didn't. they got better but still.

Raggedstar x Yellowfang: Raggedstar verbally abused Yellowfang a lot and tried to gaslight her into doing what he wants.

Ashfur x Squrrielflight: Ashfur tried to kill her three kits and then took over Bramblestar's body. he is also her uncle.

Turtle tail x Tom: Tom was abusive and then stole Turtle tail's kits once she left to be with Greywing and when she tried to get them back she ended up dying in the process.

incest:

these are mainly incest that at one point was cannon but was changed. (I think) the warriors family tree is a mess. so these might change at any time.

Patchpelt x Willowpelt: the two are siblings and they were the parents of Greystripe for the longest time until recently it got changed.

Ivypool x Fernsong: (this isn't bad at all) third cousins.

Breezepelt x Heathertail: Heathertail is Breezepelt's aunt.

Tigerheartstar x Dovewing: Tigerheartstar is Dovewing's uncle.

Hawkwing x Pebbleshine: there cousins.

Lionblaze x Cinderheart: Cinderheart is Lionblaze's aunt

Starflower x Thunderstar x Skystar: okay this one is a little weird but I'm adding it in here anyway. Starflower dated Thunderstar but broke up with him to date his dad, Skystar. so either Starflower is older then Thunderstar or Skystar is older then her. anyway, thunderstar dated his step mom lmfao.

semi cannon:

these are semi cannon meaning they are kind of hinted at (example is a cat having a crush on another cat but there not mates) incest, abuse and age-gaps are all here.

Spottedleaf x Firestar: (age-gap, now this could also be deemed as abusive or just fucking weird) Spottedleaf is older than Firestar and she dies and then talks to him in his dreams and seduces him despite knowing he has a mate. she then drops this and when she dies a second time the two have a romance ending.

Stormtail x Dappletail: (age-gap, maybe abusive) now I don't know if this one is exactly cannon or not. but it's hinted in Bluestar's super edition that the two of them have something going on. Stormtail is older than her and I feel like this would be abusive since Stormtail didn't care about his past mate, Moonflower

Thrushpelt x Bluestar (age-gap) now this one isn't that bad. Thrushpelt was a new warrior when Bluestar was born.

Firestar x Cinderpelt (age-gap) Cinderpelt had a crush on Firestar who was her mentor.

Lionblaze x Heathertail (incest): Heathertail is Lionblaze's aunt.

Bristlefrost x Stemleaf (incest also very small age-gap) Bristlefrost was an apprentice when she fell in love with Stemleaf although it isn't that bad. like a 16 year old having a crush on a 18 year old. but there cousins.

Stormfur x Squrrielflight (incest, also age-gap) Squrrielflight was an apprentice when he loved her and there cousins.

Berrynose x Rosepetal (incest) In Bramblestar's storm Bramblestar is like. "why is Berrynose being so protective of Rosepetal? doesn't he have a mate?" there siblings.

there a lot more but I don't feel like making this "rant" even longer. it pisses me off so much when people ship shit like this then are like. "ew incest!!!!1111!!!!" or "Ew age-gap11!!!1!!1!!" its just straight up hypocritical. some fans say they edit it out or just ignore the fact there related. (despite that being what some pro-shippers do but I digress)

I will edit them in IBSpaint I swear to god. I just don’t have time I don’t want to keep you guys waiting!

Anyways. I had fun drawing these ones. Very nice lol.

BrokenNewt-

Newtspeck fell in love with Brokentail when he became a devoted warrior. Loving him for some odd reason (I can’t think of any reasons why a she-cat would love hat ugly mother-f’er)

Brokentail returned those interests and soon became mates.

When Brokenstar became leader, they had their first litter. Newtspeck hated Brokenstar after 3 moons of him leading. At this time she was expecting and didn’t want him to put the kits in danger so acted like she still loved him.

After the kits were born and Brokenstar was chased out Newtspeck was devastated as everyone looked at her kits with pure hatred, which made her run away. Leaving her kits without a mother. (She couldn’t bring herself to taking them with her as she joined Windclan.)

Shadowclan ended up giving the kits to Thunderclan after Sapplingkit died (Newtspeck didn’t name her kits before she left because she didn’t know if they deserved it. She was confused at the time with so many emotions)

Larchthistle- Larchthistle was born weak along with her siblings. She grew up stronger when Yellowfang took her and Cinder in. She named them and raised them. Larchthistle ended up looking like Brokenstar with a bent tail though acted nothing like him. Being fair and genuine. She loved taking care of the elders and often sat in the elders den listening to every story they had to the point she knew every single one to the point she could re-sight them without a problem. She ended up with amber eyes like her father too and often hated it. As Yellowfang told them everything about their father when they were old enough to understand.

Sapplingkit- Named after a Sappling by Raggedstar as he felt the small she-kit was never given a chance and remained a Sappling like a seed that barely sprouted. She ended up being a diluted grayish brown tabby with yellow eyes. She ended up dying as a kit. Warrior name would have been Sapplingheart or if Yellowfang named her - Would have named her Marigoldkit after her dead sister, Marigoldeyes.

Cinderface- Named after Cinderpaw (who died to the monster) he often knew how much he looked like Brokenstar with his broad-smushed face and big, fluffy body. Though it didn’t stop him from being a great warrior. He ended up being kind, wise, and often was the cat to go to when you had a problem. He became mates with a loner who joins and had kits. (Hehehe cause I can) And he loved them to death. He later dies with his sister in the elders den around the time Bramblestar becomes corrupted by Ashfur. (They weren’t really being fed a lot and were already super old so ya)- he is a Dark gray tom with dark ginger spark like markings on his face and chest.

RunningRed

Runningwind and Redtail became mates around the time Runningwind became a warrior. Having their first kit, Sandkit(storm) and then their second litter!

Applepatch- Lively, swift, quick-minded and very funny. This Tom is a light brown tom with calico patches along with a darker tail. He has dark green eyes and often gets into trouble for pulling pranks. He was the first born.

Bushkit— Died when a owl spotted him outside the nursery at night and took him. He was a pure red bushy kit with pale green eyes.

Hollytail- Grayish-brown tabby-sleek tom with a red tail and green eyes. He is a fun tom to hang out with but also takes his duties seriously. He loves his siblings and is happy he had so many to be around.

Bunnyhop- a lively diluted Standish-reds tortoiseshell with half her tail missing (from a branch crushing it) she also has pale green eyes and often teases her siblings. She’s very understanding and forgiving and often ends up being the nursery guard when the clan knows that the other clan cats may attack due to one reason or another. She does have her own kits.

Lowpaw- Red-diluted tabby tom with a pure red tail and dark green eyes. He was clear-mind and often stayed on task. He was very ambitious and often got into fights with his siblings. Stating that if they wanted to serve their clan that they need to stay focused. Which Lowpaw was. He was sadly murdered by Tigerstar as an apprentice which left his siblings heart-broken and his parents.

Yellowfang x foxheart hypokits

This one is interesting to me. I actually hated Foxheart A LOT as a kid! Kinda still do. She was so ANNOYING!!!

Serpentfang: dark grey tom with piercing green eyes

Orange: ginger tom with green eyes

These two came from a short-lived relationship between Yellowfang and foxheart. The two didn't stay together that long, and quickly went back to disliking each other in silence. Despite this, the brothers cared deeply for each other and bravely faced the rumors surrounding their birth.

After Foxheart is killed by rats and Yellowfang is wrongfully exiled, the brothers feel alone in their own clan. Serpentfang becomes very reserved and hostile towards the clan.

As his behavior becomes worse and his opposition towards Raggedstar's rule becomes clear, he is soon exiled as well. He travels to Thunderclan where meets up with his mother. He ends up being happy there and stays with her. Him and Fireheart become really close :)

However, poor Orange becomes extremely lonely in Shadowclan. One night, he gets up and leaves. He becomes a rogue who is just called Orange due to his fur color. No one knows where he travels now.

Hearing that Orange is gone deeply saddens both Yellowfang and Serpentfang. Although they had quite liked Fireheart before, the news brings them closer to him due to how much he looks and acts like their lost loved one.

Is Dreamtongue's parentage (pre-DofD) sort of an open secret or a nobody talks about it all secret?

Eehhhh, kind of both?

Everyone knows that Chanterellefang is Dreamtongue’s biological mother, and from the way that Chanterellefang tries to sneak around and spend time with Dreamtongue anyone with half a brain can see that there’s something deeper going on… But Raggedclaw pretty much forced Chanterellefang to sever ties to her son, and as orator, she shut the situation down to the public.

Everyone knows, and most feel pity to Chanterellefang, but no one is allowed to talk about it - or comfort her.

In the first AU, Fern is Daisy’s sibling, and decided that Girl was the superior gender option, but was unsure if anyone would like her. Enter Thornclaw, son of leader Lionstar, who just thinks she’s neat! Kissable even!

In the second AU, Rusty gets run off by Tigerclaw, and joins Riverclan. Being taught to swim by Silverstream, the two fall hard and fast in love. Crookedstar is delighted at his new son-in-law and grandkits!

In the third AU, One Eye actually is a caring father, just very rough and rude. He and Tall Shadow get washed downstream, and bond on the way back. He’s seen as the second founder of Shadowclan, and a proponent of disabled warriors.

In the fourth AU, Mapleshade visits Yellowfang’s dreams, and they fall in love. She uses Forbidden Dark Forest techniques to possess and reform Raggedstar, who was a rude boy and a terrible leader. They run off and join the Sisters.

In the fifth AU, Tigerclaw refuses to give in to his dark urges and mentor’s callings, finding refuge with Whitestorm, and his new clanmate Tinypaw. Enjoy your characters everyone! I’ll do more hypokits after the next chapter of the Brightstar AU!

Baseline Request Sheet

You can ask for characters from Warrior cats and Wings of Fire (none after the second arc; haven’t finished it yet)

Kit/Hatchling designs for any pairing won’t be done unless I already have the parents drawn. Any asks for pairing I’ve never done will be deleted but you can request the parents if I have spots open!!

I may just do headshots or basic poses, sometimes more interesting poses. Depend purely on how I’m feeling. Any hypokits can be drawn but please credit me and tag so I can see them!

No uncomfortable pairings. This includes:

-Mentor x Apprentice

-Cousin x Cousin or any variation of inbreeding

-Adopted Siblings getting together

-Problematic age gaps like Leopardfoot x Pinestar, Thornclaw x Blossomfall, or Crowfeather x Harestar if in a romantic context

(In cases like LeopardPine i only accept it as a siring situation, they weren’t together but wanted a litter together. Specify if applied please or else I won’t do whatever is suggested)

-Explicitly gross or abusive relationships like Raggedstar x Yellowfang, Mistystar x Blackclaw, Frogleap x Leopardstar in a Romantic Context

I will draw their canon kits but no extra litters

For Poly requests keep the parents to a limit of 4 so I can make the offspring work. You can specify that the kits are purely from two parties but raised by them all. For example FireRaven kits who are raised by Fire, Raven and Sand. This can help me make the kits characters better.

If I’ve done a pairing before I may do it again depending on the characters so just ask! If I’m not feeling it you can always request different ones <3

I love when ppl explain why they like the character they requested or a few personal hc’s for them so don’t worry about long asks. Over explaining is my life and I love to hear ppl enjoy characters a lot!
