Does Eleven actually like yellow?

I saw a post about how El’s color is definitely purple. And I started thinking about this scene and to wonder why they wrote El to like yellow, when Will is obviously coded with that color.

I’m not saying it’s impossible for El to like yellow. She had that fabulous yellow-black outfit in s3. And her first piece of clothing that wasn’t from the lab was a yellow t-shirt. And she had the yellow curtains in her room.

But we know that El didn’t really have her own likes and dislikes pre s3 (pre Max). We know Mike gave her a lot of stuff and probably told him what he likes and what he doesn’t like. There’s even Will’s DnD drawing on the wall of her s3 room and I find it hard to believe it’s there because El likes to have it there…

So wouldn’t it be possible that Mike made El to like yellow? And that maybe he did that because subconsciously he tried to make El more like Will?
