Headcanon
as there never were official statements on how tall all the belikovas are, i will forever hold on to my headcanon that yeva is only 4" something and everyone is even more scared of her because of that
Especially dimitri -
Like just imagine her scolding him for some shit and him literally towering over her so much but looking like hes scared shitless -

🖊 Romitri, bakery
This ended up double the length it was supposed to be because i couldn't stop writing... whoops? Enjoy x
The moan Rose lets out as she steps into the bakery and inhales the aroma of delicious scents is practically indecent if the judgemental looks from the people waiting in line are any indication.  But she ignores them, along with their grumbling, as she skips past on her way to the counter where she boosts herself right up onto it.
“Olena,” she sings, receiving an indulgent smile in return as she leans in to press a kiss to her cheek.
“Hello, Roza.”  Olena peers past her.  “No Lissa today?”
“Nah, she had an early class.”
Rose waits, somewhat impatiently, as Olena takes an order, ringing it through the register and accepting the customer’s money, before throwing her a pleading look, the silent question accentuated by a loud growl from her stomach.
It makes Olena laugh as she gestures behind her.  “Go, your breakfast is waiting.”
“I love you,” Rose declares, sliding off the counter and leaving her to her next impatient customer.
She squeezes past Sonya behind the coffee machine, calling a hello as she does, and receives something mumbled in return, a response that’s practically friendly coming from her so early in the morning.  She’s forced to dodge Yeva, who’s coming the opposite way with a tray of hot blini and who snaps something distinctly less friendly in Russian, before she can finally throw herself at the waiting plate of bread with another borderline lewd moan.  To watch Rose take her first bite of the black bread, that’s so fresh it's still steaming, one might think it’s a heavenly experience, what with the way she closes her eyes and tilts her head back.
“Roza!” Viktoria calls, coming out from the kitchen.  “I thought I heard you.”
Rose waves at her friend, savouring the mouthful of bread, but her chewing slows and her nose crinkles as she notices something.
“It’s different,” she says without swallowing, and it all comes out a little garbled.  “The bread tastes different.”
Olena hands the last customer their order in a brown paper bag and bids them a good day before turning to Rose with a raised eyebrow.  Rose is half expecting her to chastise her for talking with her mouth full - something so motherly that Rose still isn’t quite used to it - but instead Olena just asks curiously, “Bad?”
Rose shoots her an indignant look in return and swallows.  “Of course not bad, it could never be bad, just different.  Did you change the recipe or something?” she asks, knowing full well Olena doesn’t follow recipes.
“No.  My son baked the bread this morning.”
Rose, in the process of taking another bite, pauses, and feels her eyebrows rise.  She knows of the Belikov’s only son of course, but in the year she’s become a permanent fixture in their bakery, she’s never laid eyes on him.  She thinks she remembers hearing once that he’s away at school in New York.
Rose’s thoughtful hum turns delighted as she bites into the bread again; she would never admit it to Olena but she thinks she might almost enjoy the tangier flavour of today’s bread more than she usually does.
She hears the door to the kitchen swing open again and Viktoria lets out a crow of laughter.  “Hey Dimka, apparently your bread tastes weird.”
Rose swallows roughly and gestures in surrender so emphatically that she almost loses the rest of her breakfast.  “Woah, hey, I did not say it was weird, I said it was diff-”  Her words die in her throat as she turns to the newcomer and catches sight of quite possibly the hottest guy she’s ever laid eyes on.
Olena’s son has to have nearly a foot of height on Rose, his arms, exposed by his rolled up sleeves, are corded with muscle, and his shoulder-length hair is tied back in a ponytail that Rose has a wild urge to free from its band and runs her fingers through.
“I’ve never had anyone describe my bread as weird before,” he says, cocking his head with a slight smirk.
Rose ignores the cute dimple that’s appeared in his cheek and levels him with a pointed finger, followed by a glare at Viktoria.  “Different, not weird,” she reiterates.
“Different good?”  He folds his arm across his chest and Rose forcibly drags her eyes away from them.
“That’s yet to be determined,” she shoots back coyly.
“You must be the infamous Roza.”  He offers her a hand to shake.  “Dimitri.”
Rose isn’t too sure about the use of the word ‘infamous’ but accepts the proffered hand regardless; it’s big, and callused, and warm, and she doesn’t want to let go.
“It’s nice to meet you, Dimitri.  And I guess I’ll just have to try your bread again tomorrow to decide.”
“Yes,” Dimitri says, with a slight chuckle, finally, regrettably, releasing her hand.  “I’ve already been told to expect you most mornings.”
Rose levels a glare around at the Belikova women who are watching their exchange with thinly veiled amusement; even Karolina has appeared in the kitchen doorway to observe.  Dimitri moves to his mother’s side and ducks to press a kiss to her cheek.
“I’m going to meet Ivan for a couple hours, Mama, but I’ll be back for the lunch rush.”
Olena reaches up and pats his cheek, smoothing away a stray streak of flour that’s found its way there.
“It was nice to meet you, Roza,” Dimitri says, before lifting his hand in farewell to his family as he heads for the door.
“He called me Roza,” Rose says faintly, once he’s out of earshot.
Viktoria shoots her a bemused look.  “We all call you Roza.”
“Yeah, but not like that.”  Rose snatches up her breakfast and hurries after him, ignoring Yeva’s bark of Russian that follows her, no doubt a warning of the perils she’ll face if she doesn’t return her plate.  “Hey,” she says, catching up with Dimitri at the door.
Dimitri looks amused to see her, but holds the door open for her to step through.
“So, when are you heading back to New York?”
“I’m not.  I finished my degree last semester, I’d moved back home to help out for a few months before I worked out my next move, but…”
“But…” Rose prods.
Dimitri’s eyes trace over her face.  “But maybe there’s more here for me than I thought.  I’ll see you around, Roza.”
Rose grins, “See ya, comrade.”

Headcanon that Zoya Belikova forms a special bond with her Auntie Roza. She wants to learn all about Auntie Roza’s pranks, rebellious ways, and hopes to grow up to become a guardian just like her. The Belikova women notice how uncomfortable Rose is with children, so they always encourage her to get to know them and bond. Karolina soon regrets it, as Zoya starts recreating some of Auntie Roza’s Best Moments™. But nobody regrets this more than Dimitri himself, who one day is greeted by his little niece with a “privet comrade”. Rose finds it absolutely hilarious, and Yeva can’t help but chuckle at the defeated look on Dimitri’s face.

Shoutout to the Belikova girls for accepting a stranger damphir they didn't know for shit just because an alchemist said that stranger had muttered their name.
Shoutout for them deciding to love and protect that girl because she had met and loved their brother, believing only her word for it, and treating her like a sister from then on.
Belikova girls man.

You could merge the ring headcanons, maybe Dimitri asked Yeva for her heirloom ring and she mailed it to him. Or, knowing Yeva, she had a premonition and mailed the ring before Dimitri got the chance to ask. Then Rose found the package from Baia hidden in their apartment, reacted like 😍😏 and started dropping loud hints to Dimitri about wanting a rockstar ring and how pretty antique rings are
anon you're a genius
I'm sure the ring arrived at Clarence's within a few hours of Dimitri arriving and Dimitri was like ??? I didn't even get a chance to tell them I was going??

SPOILERS
This one was just weird for me, and probably my least favorite in the series. Rose goes to Russia to hunt Dimitri, which makes sense and all, because he said he would rather die than be an undead nightmare. Me too, guy, I get where you're coming from. But she's 18 and she's in love for the first time, and there is no way she isn't going to hesitate. And she does and then she becomes her own worst nightmare, but it's even more twisted because she's a blood whore to a Strigoi. I mean, I know they don't actually have sex and scary Dimitri uses it like a bargaining chip, but still, close enough. The only parts of this that I think I actually enjoyed were:
Sydney & The Alchemists (It was cool that humans were sort of involved in the Moroi world, even if they think all vampires/hybrids are evil)
Rose met her dad (and didn't even know it, and he wasn't sent by anyone, he was just looking out for her)
The Belikov Family (Yeva was the best witch-grandma)
Oksana & Mark (Progressive Moroi/dhampir couple AND they're spirit-user/shadow-kissed)
Also, Avery was a bitch and I didn't like her at all through the entire book. It felt like she was a cheap fill-in Rose, so I was kind of glad when she turned out to be a bad guy.
And now Rose and Lissa have a harebrained plan to try to find a guy who possibly healed a Strigoi... and he's Victor Dashkov's brother. Somehow, I knew that old man's tale wasn't through.

Rose, Paul and Yeva are going to Mark and Oksana in Baia. Rose is quite nervous about what Yeva told her. Paul is happy to translate. Now Yeva is a bit disappointed that Rose didn’t go to find Dimitri. I imagined Paul likes to play with space ships, and like Star Wars movies, and i imagined Yeva as an old witch who also is a russian Granny.  I hope you like it, many of you requested it :)

some of my VA headcanons/AUs I choose to believe over canon
Rose is bi. Dimitri is bi. They are the ultimate bi power couple.
Dimitri was in love with Ivan at the time of Ivan’s death. That’s why the death hit Dimitri so deeply. Dimitri had taken leave for the first time in two years to visit his family and to try and get some distance between himself and Ivan in order to deal with the feelings he had for his charge. And that was when Ivan died, while Dimitri was actively trying to understand and reflect upon the extent he loved Ivan. So not only did Dimitri lose his best friend, but he lost the man he loved as well, which is why he blamed himself so deeply and shut himself off from others.
Meanwhile, while on the run Rose and Lissa had a little thing going on. Neither really addressed it or labelled it, but they would often hold hands, kiss and cuddle together. They held deep feelings for each other. All alone, two vampire girls in a human world, they turned to each other for love, comfort and affection. It started one night when Rose woke up to one of Lissa’s nightmares through the bond, and climbed into bed with her. The spent all night cuddling.
Rose and Adrian never dated, and are instead the Chaotic Duo (as coined by @thegoldenlily). Instead of their toxic relationship, they formed a solid friendship where they constantly called each other out on their bullshit (including the clown transformation).
Bloodlines, except instead of Angeline coming to guard Jill, Viktoria does instead. Like I love Angeline, but it just makes sense for Viktoria to be chosen instead. She’s someone that Rose knows and trusts much more than Angeline, and Viktoria can get an opportunity to explore the world beyond Baia. I just think it fits, especially because she would be arriving in Palm Springs with Dimitri and they would be there to support each other.
All plot holes can be fixed with Yeva or Abe meddling/withholding information theories. How did Rose and Lissa stay hidden while on the run? Because Abe had people watching out for them from a distance, and was leaking false leads to the academy search team. Dimitri didn’t know that Sonya was pregnant? Yeva informed the family that they weren’t allowed to tell him, and that he’d find out ‘in his own time’.

Romitri wedding would include:
Abe arriving at the last second, right when Rose is screaming she'll kill him for dropping out the last second. He stares at her a few seconds and tells her she looks beautiful.
Mama Belikov crying all the time, bonding (for Rose's dismay) with Jeanine, who's also crying (for Rose's bugger dismay).
All the Belikov sisters flying around Rose helping her out and giving her advice that makes no sense since she's the first to get married.
Lisa crying even more and talking about how she prayed for this and Rose rolling her eyes in the background.
Yeva claiming she foresaw it, making Rose roll her eyes again.
Dimitri not talking for the whole day until its time to marry, making everyone nervous except for Rose ("Comrade goes silent when he's nervous, he'll snap out when he sees me", because yes, Lisa insisted they slept in separate rooms)
Sidney popping out marriage facts while she makes sure everything goes according to plan, followed by crying Jeanine and Alberta Petroff.
Lissa, Sidney and Dimitri's sisters are all maids of honour and Rose makes very clear she won't choose among her sisters (more cries, more rolling eyes)
Dimitri's mouth actually falls open when she sees Rose hanging from Abe's arm.
They make their own vows and Dimitri cries, which leads to Rose crying and kissing him before time.
Alberta marries them
Dimitri's nephew is the ringbearer
Dimitri actually picks Rose up as soon as they are married and carries her out as everyone claps and Rose laughs
They spend all dinner kissing and smiling and Rose almost has a heart attack when Yeva tells her to eat, because she'll need energy for the night.
Abe talks. Threatening and sweet, of course. Olenka does to, and then Lisa. Rose is not sure when did she start crying again, goddamit.
Rose dances with her dad, and Adrian, and Christian, and Eddie. Each one threatens Dimitri as soon as the dance is over.
Dimitri dances with all women too, and he sees more and more worried about getting assassinated after each song.
Dimitri calls Rose "Ms Belikova" a thousand times along the night and Rose always correct him "Rose Belikova is much less formal, Comrade"
Jill picks the flowers when Rose throws them and goes so red she has to hide on Eddie's chest, who looks just as shocked anyways but smiles and kisses her head.
Rose falls sleep on Dimitri's chest in the car ride to the airport, and he sends a silent thank you prayer to whomever may be listening for his wife.

Yeva is the only one who saw Viktoria/Zoe coming and she was SMUG about it
No one really thinks too much of it when Yeva keeps pestering Viktoria to be nice to that Sage girl - "she is your cousin-in-law, she is family" - until Olena gets a call in the middle of the night from Viktoria like "on my way to burn down the Alchemists with Zoe, Dimitri and Sydney are already in on it, we'll be back in a few months also she will probably no longer be a cousin-in-law soon" and Olena just slowly turns to Yeva, who just keeps sipping her tea

Rose Hathaway & Yeva Belikova (Blood Promise)
Rose: “You . . . you speak English?” Yeva: “Of course.” Rose: “All this time you’ve been pretending not to? You’ve been making Paul play translator?” Yeva: “It’s easier. You avoid a lot of annoying conversation when you don’t speak the language. And I’ve found that Americans make the most annoying conversation of all.”
