He will get annoying but he can’t just sit there and watch you rot. He will try to hug you tighter and bring you food and water, his shoulders can be a pillow for you to cry all day and night long and his hands are there to wipe off the tears from your face. He hates seeing his bby sad and would give half his Tom Jones memorabilia for you to wake up one day and be your old, happier self ♥

Soldier: (っ◔◡◔)っ ♥ although his social skills are in scarcity, he isnt a traitor. He sees his S/O down ( mentally) and it pains him to an unimaginable extent  to see you so unmotivated . Pyro: (っ◔◡◔)っ ♥ they know that you are sadder than before and they can see you points of view. They themselves know that life sometimes just sucks and that its okay not to want to eat or leave your bed. But they are also afraid that whatever is plaguing you it will become worse and worse and they really don’t want to see you hurting yourself like they once did. They try helping you do simple things, drink a glass of water, play a bit with their stuffed animals, theyll help you brush your hair or wash your face. They know they baby you, but they think you need a bit more of some more smootches or cuddles. If they see you worsening or being even less active they will drag you their pillowfort and just try to keep you as close them while chanting sweet nothings and sad mumbles, please don’t loose yourself like they did. ♥

Engie: (っ◔◡◔)っ ♥ he might be a cruel, cold man when hes on the field, but in reallity he is the cinnamon roll meme( he is a cinnamon roll and he might kill you tho but he is mostly a cinammon roll). He knows also that work and his projects take a really big amount of his time so he already feels very guilty. I doubt he has any humanitarian doctorates, but he has an above average understanding of human psychology; whats the point of trying  to emulate life when you cant understand it?He knows he can't address it straightforward, but he needs to get you over this slump before you do something really stupid. Que him cleaning up his workshop and carrying you there bridal style. He has a small nest of pillows and blankets and right next to it his trusted guitar.You have the whole night and the day after to spend it together and get in the bottom of the barrel. Itll be hectic but he is a very patient man and loves ya to bits ♥

Demo: (っ◔◡◔)っ ♥ lowkey one of the mercs with the most expierence with depression/ depressive episodes. For once in his life he doesnt drink and tries to find the rute of the problem, if there is of course or its just pent up anger and frustation with things that have happened in your life now or in the present. In simple, you will talk. For hours if needed. He wont drink a sip becausehe doesnt want to forget even the stupidest detail from your venting. In the end, he will offer you to drink but he will drag you out of the base/ house and make you sit in the front porch/ garden  while he has set up some “ festive” fireworks ( just some small ones that erupt and turn into hearts) . He isnt the ideal psychological perfection, but if you chosed the scottish cyclops for your mate, then he shall go to the man and back just to see you smile one more time. ♥

Heavy: ˜”*°•.˜”*°• he has seen depression and has experienced it himself. It was way too traumatic for a young man to have to support a family without a father figure around. I highly headcanon him to have deppresion hence the sandwich, hes bingining while staying in the battlefield. He doesnt care about the language barrier, in order for the both of you to be as close as you are know, it means you understand eachother to a satysfying extent. He will cook you a very hearty meal and bring it to your bed with a tray and sweet tea. You can eat in silence with him simply staying by your side and rub your back, words can’t potray how he feels right now. Once you finished hell put the dishes outside and simply cuddle you ( being the least cuddly of the mercs, it means a lot). You can nap, cry, trace patterns on his sculp anything really. All his life the main cause of depression was the anarchy surrounding his life, he needs you to feel protected. He doesn’tcare how much time it will take, but he will rip the mountains apart to seeyou smile out of genuine happiness, might even cry if he is the cause. •°*”˜.•°*”˜

Medic: (っ◔◡◔)っ ♥ the most medically, again qualified from the group. so he has at least that covered. He isn’t stupid, you show clear signs of cronic clinical depression ( also known as manic depression) and although it has been a long while before finding a patient to lobotomize, hed be damned if he ever butchered you up like that. He is a healer, even if enjoys his enemies to hurt a little more than they should, and a healer is here to help both the body and the mind. Will persuade you into getting under medication, even if he knows theyll have little to no effecthe just hopes the placebo effect will motivate you. He tries to mix your routine with his, ex. he wakes up really early when you finnaly after hours of insomnia fell asleep, hell tuck you in and kiss your forehead. Throughout the day hell send Scout or Heavy to bring you food or water or your medications. Pyro will be by your doorstep or you side, to keep you company during the day. At night he will carry you to the medbay and do all the talking for you if you dont feel like talking, he will listen to all of your venting. Lowkey will sit you on his lap so he can rub your back and let you cry/ just sit there, to feel his heardbeat on your face and relax. ♥

You found yourself midway through the weekend with nothing to do, you finally finished all of your assignments for University and were left bored as ever. But then, *buzz*, you notice your phone go off *Steph: Hey girl, there's a party tonight that I've been invited to. Rute's coming and you better be there sis, don't let me down!! It starts at 8, see ya there! xx* "Well, I guess I'm going to a party tonight then. I hope I have something hot to wear" you said to yourself. You then take a moment to put together an outfit in your head. You were thinking maybe to go for a classic tight black dress, simple and cute. You got up and walked towards your wardrobe and had a peak inside for what options you might have. Then, you found it, something which was hot and would show off your figure perfectly. You knew that was the one to wear tonight. You grabbed your phone and had a look at the time, [Hmm.. its 6pm. that might give me enough time to have a shower, shave, do my makeup and drink a bit before I go. Lets do this], you thought to yourself inquisitively. You decided to start get a move on and hopped in the shower.

8pm

You were nearly ready, all that was left was to try on the dress and have a quick couple of shots on your way out. You finally got undressed and tried it on. It was a tight red dress that had a split on the front of your right thigh, showing the perfect amount of leg. It hugged your figure flawlessly and made both your assets look incredible. Along with your hair being perfectly wavy with some curls in it and your makeup making your skin look unblemished. You were most definitely ready to party after weeks of assignments and boredom. After doing your final checks in your bathroom mirror you made your way downstairs to do your final shots of alcohol and head on to the party. 

8:30pm 

You were outside the house and already feeling nervous. You could hear the music bursting through along with the multi-coloured flashing lights. *deep exhale* [Lets go do this, this is gonna be fun even though I know barely anyone. But you are looking fly and that's what matters]. You start walking towards the house and open the doors slowly. You make your way in and notice that there is ALOT of people here. You see a mixture of sweaty bodies dancing, people throwing up, people downing drinks and people trying to rip each other's clothes off. You stood near the entrance in search for Steph and Rute, your eyes scanning the room. Until, you notice a beautiful guy with amazing hair and glasses staring right at you. He was super cute and you couldn't take your eyes off him. When he sees you looking right at him, he turns all red and looks away instantly. [Hmm.. maybe he's a bit shy]. You keep scanning the room still in search for them but then you meet eyes with another guy, he had big brown eyes and serious style. This guy was different to the last he was most definitely not shy because you could feel him checking every inch of your body. It made you go a bit nervous but you responded with a little smile and moved your eyes towards scanning again. You finally saw Rute waving at you and signalling for you to come over. You made your way towards the girls, noticing a few looks you were getting while walking over. "Hey! You made it, finally. We were worried you might not come" Rute said relieved. "Haha, yeh well I'm finished with all my assignments so I thought I would make an appearance" you responded. They both then stood back and had quick look up and down at you in shock. "What? Is it too much, is it not enough or do I look fat?" you said anxiously. They both laughed and Steph said while smiling, "Noo actually quite the opposite, you look incredible!". You smiled and flipped your hair to the side. "Well what can I say. It took a lot of blood, sweat and tears" you said with a wink. "Same here sis, was not easy" Rute said while laughing. You all then exchanged small talk for a while and decided to get some drinks from the kitchen then head to the dance floor aka the living room.

The short answer for this is: No, he's gay

The long answer is: It's....complicated?? Rute had a fairly good relationship with who he thought were his blood family! Hell, Throcky nursed him back to health when he thought he was dying. (Side note: The last time I wrote the bits where he was Extremely Ill was before my near-death asthma attack so writing it now is gonna be interesting.)

But then he found out he was a changeling, and now he's not even sure who his blood family is, if they even want to know him. This doesn't make his relationship to his human family any less significant!! But it completely scrambles his perception of what family is.

I think what it comes down to the most is, before he realized he was a changeling, he didn't really have any strong connections to anyone outside his blood family, so the whole "blood is thicker than water" thing just made sense. Afterwards, however, he makes friends and goes on adventures and falls in love, and he realizes that family is so much more than blood. Found family is HUGE in all my writing, but I think for Rute specifically, found family changes his perspective on a lot of things.

So, Rute at the beginning of WTWKTT? Definitely believes blood is thicker than water. As his character develops, though? No, not even a little bit.

✂️ - What kind of thing would have your OC cut someone out of their life? How likely are they to let someone back in?

So Rute is...very forgiving. Sometimes too forgiving. Someone would either have to do something horrible to someone he loves, or do something very, very, very bad to him to get him to cut them out of his life.

The other thing about Rute is that, while he is very forgiving, if you piss him off, he holds grudges hardcore. If it goes as far as him cutting you out of his life, you're not getting back in. He will remember what you did, and the chances of him ever trusting you again are slim to none.

For Javi:

🎭 - Does your OC show different sides of themselves to different people?

Not on purpose! But yeah, absolutely. Javi has some Trauma™ and this ends up with them being quite the people-pleaser. They don't want to lose people, so they just sort of...become who they think people want them to be, to a point. They still wanna be as true to themself as possible. I guess it comes down to them allowing acquaintances and strangers to see the more "palatable" weird bits of their personality to weed out anyone who would genuinely make them uncomfortable to be around, and once they find people they can be somewhat comfortable around, that's when they start to try to people-please and only reveal parts of their personality to certain people.

(As the story goes on, they start to reveal more and more of themself to Avery and Toni [though Toni knew them before The Big Trauma and knows that something changed in them] and it's kinda messy, but it's also soft and good, bc Antonia and Avery love them and they all take care of each other)

⏰ - What is your OC like at timekeeping? Are they punctual, or always running late?

HmmMMmm this is a tough one because like. Javi's personality (or, at least, their facade) is very carefree, so in that sense they might often run late. However, they're also full of anxiety, and that includes anxiety about running late. Javi also definitely has ADHD jsjfjz so! I think they do their best to get ready early so there's a better chance of them getting there on time, but usually something happens that still makes them late.

🧸 - On a scale of 1 - 10, how ‘soft’ is your OC? 1 being the edgiest of edges and 10 being a literal teddy bear that cries at everything? (Bonus questions, where on the scale would your OC place themselves, and where would they like to be on the scale?)

I'm gonna put them at an 8 because, while they are super soft, they also tend to go fucking feral on occasion. Like, if they find a weird monster huddled up under their porch? "Oh sweet baby, you must be so scared! Here, little love, I have all kinds of snacks. Do you want Oreos? You can cuddle under my blanket if you want." If someone is shitty to their loved ones? The Joker x Reader - “Ghost” Part 1

Bane’s wife is a mystery to everyone, including her husband. Ghost also happens to be The Joker’s little obsession, not that she ever pays attention to him. Maybe that’s why The King of Gotham should stop messing around: when you push too much, you might get more than you bargained for.

“Boss,” Frost makes his presence known in the VIP room. “Ghost is here.”

“Don’t make her wait,” The Clown growls and Jonny nods in acceptance, aware the woman’s infamous temper might create some unwanted trouble if she gets delayed from her schedule.

The Joker passes his fingers through the neon green hair, not that it needs fixing; he also unbuttons another button from his purple shirt, only two of them holding the garment together now. A quick glance to the other man present here: still on the couch facing the windows depicting the busy night at the club; earbuds in while listening to an important cell phone message received a few minutes ago.

Might as well take advantage of the situation.

You part the sparkly beads and enter the premises, immediately positioning yourself on the loveseat across from The Joker’s without any invitation.

“Hi Mister J,” you flatly greet without any trace of emotion.

“I have a business proposal; name your price,” The Joker grins and you give him a cold stare.

“I’m listening.”

“I want you to kill Bane for me.”

“Why?” you tilt your head in annoyance.

“I can’t stand him,” the honest response prompts retaliation from the guy that finally realized you’re there and just took his earbuds off:

“Stop hitting on my wife!” Bane huffs, displeased with J’s nonsense.

You’re not a big fan of The Joker either, yet you attempt to avoid useless conflict.

“I’m going to get me a drink. HB, want one?” you address your husband and he signals for his favorite.

“Triple shot of whiskey, no ice.”

“Be right back,” you announce and prepare to leave but tonight’s host is not happy with the outcome:

“I want a drink too.”

“Ask your girlfriend,” you cut J off and he underlines:

“She’s not here yet.”

“Too bad and so sad,” Y/N grumbles while vanishing from the VIP room.

Bane can’t hold in a very amused chuckle and choses to start something for the heck of it:

“Imagine being with a strong minded woman that does what she wants.”

J is far from receptive about Bane’s insinuation, definitely mad you brushed him off:

“What the hell is that supposed to mean?!”

“Did you ever hear the expression: jerk to the world but not to your girl?” Bane’s distorted tone amplifies today’s advice. “You might want to apply that to your fragile relationships.”

“Spare me your wisdom, HB!” The Clown Prince of Crime emphasizes the initials, deciding to counterattack. “B is from Bane, obviously,” he thinks he found something to make fun of. “H Comes from… Herbert? Hugh? Hedwig?”

Your spouse would love to wipe out J’s almighty smirk with a punch; savoring the aftermath of telling him the truth is infinitely better:

“HB comes from Handsome Brute; my wife calls me that.”

The Joker doesn’t have time to comment though: Y/N returns with the drinks and positions herself on Bane’s knees, helping him taking off his mask so he can enjoy his whiskey.

“Hey Ghost, how come you don’t smile or laugh?” The King of Gotham continues to be obnoxious, still upset you didn’t indulge his request for a beverage.
