eleven is fascinating to me because he came right off the back of tens horrible traumatic breakdown after he lost everything and he immediately tried to establish himself as the opposite of that. he is funny and goofy and almost childlike, and he bulldozes on in his adventures with amy like nothing happened at all. but then something happens and his masks slips and it's like oh! the core of this man is still anger. he is so so angry all of the time and this façade is the only thing stopping him from being consumed by it. he isn't over any of it and he hasn't moved on. he is wearing a fez and laughing but under that all that exists is age old anger and grief and it is going to consume him

One time Xena gave up her humanity and became a demon and waged war against heaven, but only because Gabrielle was now an angel and Xena wanted to see her to ask if she'd spend eternity in damnation with her so she wouldn't be alone.
That show was an experience.

I will never understand why most of the men in Buffy who hate “not being able to support her” because she’s stronger and way more physically capable don’t embrace the ways that they can support Buffy. Like Xander hating being donut boy? Riley being bitter that he was left to help around the house, being handed the perfect malewife opportunity?? Couldn’t be me. I’d pack Buffy little bags of snacks for patrol. I’d become a pro at getting blood stains out of clothing. She’d come back from patrol, rugs already vacuumed, soup on the stove, and I’d be like “hi honey how was the violence the death and violence looked fun was it fun?”. I’m gay btw.

While I was reading Blue Exorcist I didn't fully register just how dark the Illuminati arc was, but watching it animated... holy shit.
I could not imagine going through what Izumo has and is going through. And being in the place of any of the other students? Dealing with unkillable regenerating zombies speaking to me in broken up bits saying they want to go home? Having so much pressure to do things most adults wouldn't be able to do? AT 15 YEARS OLD??
I feel like this is the turning point for the series bc it goes from "heehoo funny with epic fights and some character bonding" to "everyone you love is going to die if you don't fight right now. This world is bleak and horrifying under the thin veil we have created and the fate of it rests on your shoulders, all of you."
