Five-Foot Two (Lyrics)
Five-foot two, eyes of blue.
Oh, what those five feet could do!
Has anybody seen my gal?
Turned-up nose, turned down hose.
Flapper, yeah, she's one of those.
Has anybody seen my gal?
If you run into a five-foot two
All covered in fur,
Diamond rings,
And all those things,
You can bet your life it isn't her.
Could she dance?
Could she woo?
Could she coochie-coochie-coo!
Has anybody seen my ga-al?
Anybody seen my gal?!

and fun fact about those pastries. they were all kinda mashups of existing food and my creative liberties
1: basically chiacchiere/angel wings with an air of churro-ness
2: inspired by medovik/honey cake and various types of milhojas/mille-feuille
3: sort of choux au craquelin+conchas+bougie filled donuts

Whatever abusive language you say to me, you will be indirectly saying it to yourself. So before speaking, choose your words carefully because in the end you will end up abusing yourself.
oh damn I better be careful

Another Home Free/VoicePlay Compare & Contrast post
Their music makes me happy. I thought of a fresh analogy to describe their similarities and differences, and that makes me happy. And, finally, I figured out how to illustrate that analogy, and that makes me very happy.
So.
Here's my analogy: The original song is like the photo of a landscape. The a cappella cover is like a painting inspired by that photo.
Home Free paints like Bob Ross: improvised happy little clouds, and every tree has a friend, even if that detail is not in the original. The lines created with the palette knife are clear and well-defined. There's a focus on capturing a quality of light, and the landscapes that are chosen tend to be sunny and calm (not many dark and stormy nights in Bob Ross's catalogue). And while not rigidly adhered to, the general goal is realism.
Example: Here's Linda Ronstadt's version of "When Will I be Loved?"
And here's Home Free's cover:
(Yes, I chose this song because of the Doggos and Kit-Cats -- it has a happy ending).
VoicePlay, On the Other Hand, paints their landscapes more in the style of Vincent van Gogh. They lean more toward impressionism. You can see more of their brush strokes. And there are a lot more swirls of color and dreamlike shapes.
Example: Here's The Beach Boys' original "In My Room"
And here's VoicePlay's cover:
