【Honkai: Star Rail Build TLDR】

❈ Yukong

There are two ways to build Yukong. It is dependent which you prioritize more: DMG from Yukong herself or her survivability. This would dictate what relic sets you'll use on her. She'll still be able to buff your team in either build.

For Sub-DPS Build (Recommended!)

Cavern Relic Sets (Choose either one 4pc or 2pc+2pc)

Wastelander of Banditry Desert

Musketeer of Wild Wheat

Messenger Traversing Hackerspace

Planar Ornament Sets (Choose 1 set)

Inert Salsotto

Space Sealing Station

** DMG% difference of each relic pairs could be found at bottom of this post.

Main Stats → Head = HP (constant) → Hand = ATK (constant) → Body = Crit Rate/DMG → Feet = SPD → Sphere = Imaginary DMG% → Rope = Energy Regeneration Rate (ERR)

Sub Stats → SPD → Crit Rate/DMG (dmg build)

For Tanky Buffer Build

[Relic Set 1 = to keep her squishy HP safe] → 4pc Guard of Wuthering Snow → 2pc Fleet of the Ageless

[Relic Set 2 = more basic ATK DMG, gets SPD to self] → 4pc Musketeer of Wild Wheat → 2pc Fleet of the Ageless

Main Stats → Head = HP (constant) → Hand = ATK (constant) → Body = HP% → Feet = SPD → Sphere = HP% → Rope = Energy Regeneration Rate (ERR)

Sub Stats → SPD → HP% (tank build)

Things to Consider

➤ If E0 to E1, rotation would be: → using S2 Memories LC + ERR rope, use 2 skill + 1 basic (SP-negative) → using any harmony LC + ERR rope, use 3 skill (SP-negative) → using any harmony LC + ERR rope, use 2 skill + 2 basic (SP-neutral)

➤ If E2+, rotation would be: → using S2 Memories LC + ATK% rope, use 3 skill (SP-negative) → using any harmony LC + ERR rope, use 2 skill + 1 basic (SP-negative)

** The highlighted ones are the recommended rotations for Yukong.

➤ If using Sub-DPS build, get at least 50 crit rate & 100 crit dmg on her.

➤ Optional: Build her with 120+ SPD to get the atk buff from Fleet of the Ageless set effect.

Things to Remember

➤ She needs speed-tuning in her build. This means her SPD should consider the next two allies who'll come next after her in the action order.

➤ Her buffs work on the allies after her turn in the turn order. This means that her buffs won't lock into a specific ally, unlike what Tingyun buffs would normally do.

➤ The game considers that her buffs in skill/ultimate isn't buffing an ally, she is buffing herself instead. This means she won't proc Bronya's Sig LC effect of recovering 1 SP nor Danheng's Talent.

➤ Roaring Bowstring is not consumed by follow-up attacks, Ultimates and Seele's resurgence. Only consumed with basic attacks and skills.

➤ Use her basic attacks in between skills. This will make her return the SP she used.

➤ If using Sub-DPS build, most of her dmg comes from her ultimate.

➤ If using Fleet of Ageless on her, get at least 121 speed on her.

Speed Values (from OkCode)

** Assuming your DPS has 134 SPD, your Yukong SPD should be:

if DPS is erudition/destruction/nihility unit: 135+ SPD

if DPS is any other hunt unit: 155+ SPD

if DPS is Seele: 161 SPD to outspeed her specifically

** Adjust accordingly your Yukong's SPD depending on the SPD of your DPS.

(Tbh, I just copy-pasted this from the Asta build TLDR I posted before this one. Lmao. Most harmony units practically have similar builds.)

4pc Messenger Traversing Hackerspace is the most recommended set for buffers and debuffers where their ultimate is directed at their allies. Unfortunately, Yukong isn't one of them, since her Ultimate is directed at the enemies instead of her allies, which you can see in this GIF below. But, you could still use the 2pc set if you are in need of +6 SPD on her.

4pc Musketeer of Wild Wheat is still the recommended set for Yukong despite the release of the Messenger Traversing Hackerspace set in patch 1.2.

4pc Guard of Wuthering Snow is another niche build to use on your harmony units. This is to ensure that they'll be able to lessen the DMG from enemy hits, especially, for some reason, enemies like to hit the harmony units more than the preservation units themselves. I'm looking at you, Tingyun. Also, what's with the foxian beauties that keeps on aggroing the enemies to hit them instead?

In this build TLDR, I recommend 2pc Fleet of Ageless set more than 2pc Sprightly Vonwacq. This is to give more buffing utility on the unit, than just to ensure the ult uptime of the said unit. The rotations listed above are fit to Fleet set more.

— DMG Calculation Difference —

Since she has the potential to be sub-DPS due to having high multipliers in her ultimate, I created a mini dmg calc below just to know how much dmg% difference using the sub-DPS build would differ with the tank support build. Do note that the numbers I've gotten are just theoretical values since I didn't test it in the game.

Tldr: There's ~40% dmg difference between the highest dmg sub-DPS build and the lowest dmg tank support build.

After becoming part of the Stellaron Hunters Kafka has travel all around the universe as Elio asked her, aside from that she doesn't do much more so is probably that it was in one of those missions were she end up meeting you, and, honestly, as long as Kafka stays loyal to Elio and doesn't go against the scrip she can do pretty much all she want, so taking a small break to walk towards you won't represent much problems (and there is the chance that you two meeting was something Elio already knew it would happen)

Kafka takes the first chance she has to get to met you and doesn't even bother on hidding her interest on you (not even that she is a criminal, for her it doesn't matter), as well there are high chances that she notices your shy behavior even before muttering the first word but she just find it rather cute

Kafka likes to admire the beauty, she is well know about the fine arts and, for her, meeting her darling is like finding a beautiful art piece that she has never seen before, one that she must add to her collection, no matter at what cost. Before she finish with her mision and has to leave that planet she will make sure to take you with her

Kafka is actually caring and loving towards her darling, wanting to treat you as the priceless piece of art you are for her, so she take the time to introduce herself and win your trust, even if she were in the middle of a battlefield she has the time to glance at her darling and dedicate them a smile

Kafka is really smart and skilled (in and outside of the battlefield) and for her winning her darling trust is like a game, and her plan to win your trust and heart is just a dance where she has leadership, smothly guiding you around the dance floor with elegance and grace, her eyes never leave yours, honestly Kafka is so smooth and charismatic that it is just matter of time to win your blind trust

Kafka doesn't even lie to her darling, she is sincere with how much she likes you and how beautiful you are in her eyes, your shyness makes you just adorable and she is more than willing to let you hide behind her back as she takes care of anything that you are afraid of or bothers you, and honestly she takes advantage of your shyness to make you depend on her, to make you want her around to be able to protect you

It doesn't take much time before Kafka manage to make her darling depend and needy, make you want her around at all times, even if she has to put you on risky situations just to came and save you she is willing to do so, she isn't afraid on losing you since she knows she is more than capable to protect you

Also, Kafka loves showing off with you more than she likes to admit, be due her skills in battle or her bast aknowledge in fine arts and treasures, all the beautiful peaces of art she own, her skills on music, everything she is and has is now yours too if you accept to be with her

Catching Silver Wolf's attention will depend in how interesting she finds you, so for her obsession for her darling is going to grow slowly, fisrt by catching her attention enough for her to decided to do a little more research about you. No matter if the first time she have met you is in person or online, the only thing that matter is that now that you are her new target and nothing will stop her

Honestly, it doesn't take her much time before being able to find out everything she can about you, Silver Wolf is the best hacker and nothing will stop her, she can even hack your own accounts and devices just to get more information about you, but she will do it once her obsession have grown to the point that she just can't stop

The more Silver Wolf gets to know about you the more obsessed she gets, it brings her so much joy that she start seeing this hunt of her darling like some kind of game, a game that she will not lose no matter what it cost her. Traveling across the infinite amount of information she had of you to the point when she is even able to use an hologram to appear right where you are, leading her to her next step, getting her price

There is no other way for it to happen, after getting to know so much of you and how much joy you bring her is just natural for her wanting to have you only for herself, so she wont really waste much time before kidnapting you, but even when she is so excited and even in a rush of adrenaline Silver Wolf takes the time to make the perfect plan to win her price

Silver Wolf knows you are shy from the start, it was one of the things she found out while messing around your information, and yet, there are chances that she just forgot about it for being too concentrate in her plan, having you by her side is already a win so now she is she can take things slower and will take the time to win the trust and heart of her darling

Silver Wolf finds your shyness quite hilarious because of how easy was for her to get all the information about you, still she does respect your shyness and most of the time she just leave you be, she is happy with just having you around and having a one-side conversation while playing videogames until you adjust to your new life with her (it bothers her but she is willing to wait until you feel comfortable)

Despite your shyness and despite kidnapting you, Silver Wolf is really kind and friendly with you, no matter how you react she always acts as if you two were happy together, clingy and caring, sharing her snacks and videogames with you; even if you seem reclulant to open up with her Silver Wolf lets you have your own phone and even some freedom, she can easily track you down and know what you are doing so she isn't really scare, but is her behavior what can easily make you fall for her charismatic trick and put your trust on her

Silver Wolf is a little bothered by your shyness just because it holds you back from doing fun things, however she does finds quite funny to tease you and make you flustered or teasing you to convince you to do what she wants to do. She constantly take advantage of your shyness to gets what she wants and has no shame on doing it, she constantly use it whenever she has to go out for a mission or to see Elio, she kinda threats you about how she won't be there to help you if you end up meeting someone else if you decide to left the safety of your room, always emphasizing the fact that now you live close to the Stellaron Hunters and how dangerous they can be

Despite the threaten Silver Wolf let you interact with the other Stellaron Hunters if you want, she won't mind and finds quite funny seeing you scare or shy when the others are around, but also has little patient when it comes to the others and her darling, she leave others interact with you for a certain amount of time or just having a tolerance about how close they get to you before getting tired or even feeling possessive and dragging you away to your shared to room to play videogames together

Tingyun-as-Fugue boarded the Express after the Crew's Xianzhou adventure, courtesy of Ruan Mei. She'll be returning to the Xianzhou soon but wanted to stop somewhere else to gather her thoughts first and will be joining the Crew's adventures in Penacony.

This is a main story mission, not a continuance, and a story recap feature has been added to keep you caught up with the Penacony plot to that point.

CHARACTERS: SUNDAY AND FUGUE

Sunday is a five-star Imaginary unit following the Path of Harmony. When he uses his Skill, a targeted ally and their summons will immediately act and be buffed (with the buff increasing if they have a summon at all). This Skill will fail to advance actions when used on Harmony units. His Ultimate and Technique likewise buff teammates. (Teammates with a summon include Topaz, Jing Yuan, and Lingsha.)

Fugue is a five-star Fire unit following the Path of Nihility. Her presence on the battlefield allows teammates to deal Super Break damage to Weakness Broken enemies, with her Skill enhancing a targeted teammates' Break Effect for a set number of attacks and causing their attacks to reduce enemy defense. While this buff is applied, Fugue's Basic Attack is enhanced. Her Ultimate deals Fire damage to all enemies and ignores Weakness Type to reduce Toughness.

BANNERS

The first half of v2.7 features Sunday and Jing Yuan as the featured five-stars with Qingque, Arlan, and Tingyun as the accompanying four-stars. Four-star LCs included are x, y, and Swordplay.

In the second half, Fugue and Firefly are the featured five-stars and Gallagher, Yukong, and Misha are the featured four-stars. Four-star LCs partnered with these banners are x, y, and z.

MAPS: THE PARTY CAR

The Astral Express opens up a new car! Pivotal to this car is the Trailblazer's room on the second floor, modified from an old storage room. Features an extensive bar with robot bartender.

NEW PATH: REMEMBRANCE

The new playable Path, Remembrance, focuses around special summoned teammates called Memo Sprites, which act as additional teammates in battle tied to their owners.

New materials for the Path will be added shortly in v3.0. Emphasis was made to point out that we wouldn't see "new materials for other Paths" added for a while after this.

EVENTS

Cosmic Home Decor Guide sees the Trailblazers renovating their room, and having to help out Pom-Pom around the Express using teams to earn the funding to make it the perfect luxurious relaxation space. Crew meetings will require strategy and planning to earn the most funding. Completing this mode will also unlock the ability to change Pom-Pom's outfit!

Between the Frames sees the Trailblazer become March's photography assist at Paperfold University. Photographing scenes will fulfill goals set by Mr. Reca, and afterwards a special photo spot will open up where players can invite characters and friends for snapshots.

Gift of Odyssey will naturally be returning.

Planar Fissure (Ornaments) and Realm of the Strange (Relics) are the double drop events of this patch.

A new Express Gift provides the Trailblazers the choice of a free standard 5-star character!

MODE UPDATES

The Divergent Universe will be updated in v2.7. This comes with new Equations, Curios, and Occurrences, and the refresh on save files is being extended from one week to once every DU update. 3.0 will features ways of obtaining Synchronicity Points faster to reduce grind time for rewards.

Pure Fiction will be adding a new Grit mechanic to buff teammates once activated. There are no longer a set number of enemies to defeat, but Normal Enemies will respawn infinitely until the boss is defeated (and defeating the runts will deplete the boss' HP.)

The Forgotten Hall will now allow players to start new runs at Floor 9 instead of Floor 7.

RELICS

New Wishful Resin will allow players to modify Relic substats when crafting in addition to using materials to determine main stats. 1 Resin will allow one substat to be chosen, 4 will allow 2. Wishful Resin can be obtained by breaking down Self-Modeling Resin. Further details will be announced later.

Variable Dice can be used on fully-leveled 5-star equipment to reallocate stat buffs and further control a Relic's desired output.

2.4 Xianzhou continuance thoughts [part 1]

**SPOILERS** I didn’t think I’d be up for more story ramblings after the entirety of Penacony, but rejoice, our trip back to the Xianzhou has already exceeded my low expectations. So here we are. Ready to yap once more. At this point, I’ve already finished the entire 2.4 story but this post (probably one of three) will only cover up until the stunning Feixiao makes her first appearance, so be wary of any spoilers and later events that I may or may not possibly mention. Who knows.

I started this mission the night of the update so my memory might fail me at some places, but I sorta remember the giddy tone Dan Heng used here when suggesting March should stay on the Express by herself this time. That man is funny when he wants to be and I adore the teasing these two constantly have with each other. Her mentioning other days of the week in fear of another Sunday fiasco happening is hilarious too.

It’s always a welcomed surprise to hear the Trailblazer speak and I’m so thrilled with how often we got that chance throughout this quest. After watching tiny bits of some ZZZ playthroughs and seeing how often their protagonists get to actually speak, I sincerely hope they continue this in the future with HSR because Rachael & Caleb do a fantastic job with them. English dub bias yes, but I have no doubt all the other languages are great too. Anyways, being cautious to whomever is set to guide us around the ship is real valid. We certainly don’t want another Tingyun situation to take place.

Just the mere mention of Feixiao’s name gets me excited to finally see her in game. But is she truly young? Later on, we learn how she and Yukong are war buddies so it leads me to assume they might be similar in age? Our lovable pilot is around 246 years old, so it could be possible? I could be wrong though of course. I will admit to forgetting if the Foxian lifespan is around 300 or 400 years, or if there’s no actual definite lifetime expectancy, but regardless, the ladies continue to look fabulous.

So the Borisin attack starts, Yunli gets a flashy entrance showcasing her strength as she takes ‘em down with Old Mettle and takes a slight interest in Yanqing’s sword.. that eventually leads to her taking it for herself. I wasn’t expecting them to get along right away but I was surprised that she actually snatched the sword away without a word.

They could not have made this dude seem more obviously suspicious if they tried.

I love how we could’ve actually chosen to mention the fake dream we had of the general and Imbibitor Lunae in Penacony. It was a fantastic dream indeed~

When Huaiyan was teased alongside the other characters during the very end of the 2.3 livestream, I naturally assumed he would become playable as well, but now.. eh, I have my doubts since he didn’t get drip marketed like the rest of them. It could’ve been interesting to have an older gentleman as a unit. I mean, I know we have Welt, but he doesn’t really look this old, you know?

Calling one of Yanqing’s prized swords a simple “dagger,” HA. All their bickering is childish in the most fitting way but I do like how Yunli continues to holds onto his sword, saying that if a sword is lost on the battlefield, it should be reclaimed on the battlefield, or something along those lines.

Huaiyan might appear to be real old, but him having some secret mentor strength like your typical anime grandpas tend to have wouldn’t surprise me at all, so I understand March’s idea to prevent any chance of angering the geezer.

The boys!! And.. only them! Dang, they’re really making me wait to see Feixiao huh. I wonder if there was any hidden reason behind her heading over to Scalegorge, unless it really was just to take in the sights. I also wasn’t expecting Moze to be so tall.

I’m afraid that’s just one of the downsides of being apart of the main character’s crew, March.

Teasing Yanqing is everyone’s favorite pastime. I unfortunately don’t have much to say about Lingsha. I think she’s pretty and naturally I’m interested in meeting another Vidyadhara, but that’s all for now.

The continuous back and forth between these kids drags on a bit much for me but I’m 100% with March on seeing this drama unfold even more.

So the kids start their “spar” and the quick glimpses of the 2.4 trailer start to make sense. Originally, I thought their fight was part of the Wardance ceremony, where they had to prove their strength against other competitors or something, but nope. All that fighting was just for a simple sword. The cutscene was animated nicely and I’m grateful the quality remains decent even outside of main story events, but it’s safe to say my focus was pulled away by a certain someone showing up amidst the brawl..

And my god, does she make a statement! Stopping both Yanqing’s slash and Yunli’s giant sword with just a couple fingers?? HELLO?? Ma’am, you’ve been on screen for not even ten seconds and I’m already deep in love with you.

She’s gorgeous. Her eyes are mesmerizing. All the earrings are super cool. Excuse me while I…*deep breath* AAAAAHHH.

The way she quickly evaluates both of their fighting styles correctly.. amazing. I say she’s certainly a battle expert.

So I'm close to making a 90 pull stack of resources. My question is: out of the current and future banners, who do I pull for? I was thinking Aventurine since I managed to play him using a friend's support and he seems really strong. I could pull for someone like say Sunday, but if he needs specific characters built around him that I need to pull, it could take a while to utilise him. My current stock of characters are: Natasha, Gerpard, Xueyi, Trailblazer (phys/fire/imaginary), herta, serval, dan heng, Clara, himeko, gallagher, guinaifen, asta, pela, tingyun (4*), sampo, misha, march, hanya, luka, arlan, qingque, lynx & yukong.
