This was honestly such a pain but I managed to push through fghjjgj for some reason i decided to be very weird with the lineart i can't even explain it-

I didn't know wether i should start with him or with botw Link since my first game was tfh and not albw. But as you can see I decided to start with albw Link

Ik totk isn't out yet but I still put it here cuz why not. I'm so used to drawing this Link because he used to be one of the only characters I would draw for a really long time haha

This drawing has to be my least favorite of the bunch. For some reason whenever I try to draw ss Link I mess it up somehow :< my poor sweet boi didn't deserve this

Okay I kinda cheated with this one because I have only played la so far but I just really wanted to draw pink haired Link fgizhgkk

I don't really like this one either, it's better than ss Link but still kinda wonky. I really need to work on my faces, especially forward facing ones. I also cheated again bc I haven't finished taol yet :>

I found & 2400dpi scanned something I wasn't sure I'd ever be able to see: The color pages for the first Zelda manga ever. The Legend of Zelda by Ran Maru, Wanpakku Comics June 1986. They're honestly beautiful. There's also a link to a complete translation. Go here to find it all.

hyrule, what do you think of your zeldas?

"Zelda and the Princess? I know they're both named Zelda, but that gets confusing. I met the Princess first, I saved her at the end of my first Quest. She was nice to me, but I didn't really get to know her until I woke Zelda. We stayed in the castle for a while, and that's about when we became friends. I still don't see the Princess very often. But Zelda... she's not a Princess anymore, so she wanted to... travel the new world, get to know it, things like that. I offered to let her travel with me, and... that was probably the best decision I've ever made. Zelda is... yeah. She's Zelda. I don't know what else to say."

hmmmm i used to anon, but id have to jog my memory a bit. From what i remember, Zelda1 Zelda i remembered thinking would have a bit of a temper (Courtesy of Sleepy zelda's brother, since they're most likely directly related), and Sleepy Zelda was the type to act calm and such, but secretly cause a lot of chaos.....

nobody ever talks about how numerous and massive the graveyards in zelda 2 are. you've got two smaller graveyard sites (one to the west by spectacle rock [in the area where the original legend of zelda took place] and one to the east directly above the abandoned town of old kasuto) and then you've got the GIGANTIC graveyard smack in the middle of the map by the island palace. and the fact that the map is actually scaled so everything looks smaller and there isn't much detail on the map (so link could travel longer distances without the devs having to use more disk space. there's a more eloquent and correct way of putting it but i just woke up and my brain isn't functioning yet) means that all the graves you see on the zelda 2 map are actually multiplied if you scaled up to see them better. like. okay. here are the maps for zelda1 and zelda2

you see how the graveyard in zelda1 is so big already, with many more graves than are pictured on the zelda2 map? and how small it looks by comparison on the zelda2 map?

basically. what that means is. the GIANT graveyard site in the middle of the map? it's ten times bigger than it actually looks. it's got ten times the amount of graves. i'm sure i could do some math with the graves pictured on the zelda2 map and the graves that are actually there on the zelda1 map and figure out how many graves are ACTUALLY there but. again. i just woke up. and also given that these are games from the 80s i'm sure there would actually be even MORE graves that just aren't pictured because they could only fit so much into the games. anyway. "hyrule was on the road to ruin" indeed.....

I'm not sure but if that's true, will it be the LAST Zelda series??? I just hope I'm wrong cuz I don't want the series to end...

ive been doing some Thinking about zelda1 so here, positions the links sleep in:

skyward sword: a big-time cuddler. will sleep anywhere but sleeps best when something is in his arms. pillow, zelda, kikwi, groose, the master sword-- doesn't matter how uncomfortable, he has cuddled it.

zelda1/aol: sleeps curled up tight somewhere where he can see all the exits and can't be backing into a corner. always has something to his back. sleep is never completely safe, so he learned from a young age to make himself small and make escape easy

oot/mm: before his adventures, he would lay on his front spread eagle and be completely dead to the world in an instant. he loved sleeping outside in the grass. after termina, he stopped sleeping. it was almost like he forgot how to. he runs himself into the dirt, sometimes to the point of delirium, before his body gives out and he sleeps for days

minish: loves sleeping outside. he had before his adventure and loves it even more now. he cloud watches or star gazes behind his grandpa's house until he falls asleep and always wakes up with a braid in his hair, a flower behind his ear, or a pretty pebble nearby-- gifts from the minish.

four sword: the four each sleep differently. blue will sleep for the entire day and then some while green is a very early riser. vio stays up till the dead of night and red just never sleeps. it's frustrating enough when they are trying to travel when apart, but together? poor link's sleep schedule is nonexistent

twilight: a very steady sleep schedule-- he grew up on a farm after all. He rises with the sun and sleeps with the stars. If you aren't sweating by 6 am you arent working hard enough. goes to bed early; he finds himself heartbroken at twilight so avoids being outside then.

alttp: similar to zelda1/aol. having to be on the run in the light world and being a defenseless prey animal in the dark world meant he never felt safe sleeping. he always scouts out the safest area before sleeping, no matter how long that takes. often pulls paranoia-filled all-nighters, but cuddling with loved ones helps.

wind waker: has the ability to sleep anywhere and wake up at a moment's notice. spending so much time in the open ocean surrounded by dangerous wildlife means he's learned how to take naps when he can and immediately wake up and focus when he needs to.

botw: sleep? what sleep? he slept for 100 years, he sees that as more than enough sleep. he doesn't need or deserve any more than that. (obviously, that's just the survivor's guilt talking)

what if, in one group we have Clock(OOT), Lycan (TP), Bunny(ALTTP,ALBW,OOA+OOS), the TFHs(..TFH), Wave(WW, ST, PH) and Green (MC, FSA) and then an EXTRA link group of Cloud(SS), The Remaining Colours (MC, FSA), Hibiscus (LA), Watch(MM), Knight(HW), Origin(zelda1+2), and Dancer(COH)?
