G'day! I'm Dutch, and I like doing a lot of things. Officially I'm a graphic designer / concept artist / interaction and interface designer / alternate reality game puppetmaster. I just might be a geek.

Made for a lil’ challenge on twitter for @damnkillerloop, to draw their Demon Jimin in my own style. I’m locked up anyway, and I need to get better at fanart for my own sanity, so there we are!

Read this and save a life - YOUR OWN
From a surgical nurse and certified CPR teacher:
Please pause for 2 minutes and read this:
1. Let’s say it’s 7.25pm and you’re going home (alone of course) after an unusually hard day on the job.
2. You’re really tired, upset and frustrated.
3 Suddenly you start experiencing severe pain in your chest that starts to drag out into your arm and up in to your jaw. You are only about five km from the hospital nearest your home.
4. Unfortunately you don’t know if you’ll be able to make it that far.
5. You have been trained in CPR, but the guy who taught the course did not tell you how to perform it on yourself.
6. HOW TO SURVIVE A HEART ATTACK WHEN ALONE? Since many people are alone when they suffer a heart attack without help, the person whose heart is beating improperly and who begins to feel faint, has only about 10 seconds left before losing consciousness.
7. However, these victims can help themselves by coughing repeatedly and very vigorously. A deep breath should be taken before each cough, and the cough must be deep and prolonged, as when producing sputum from deep inside the chest. A breath and a cough must be repeated about every two seconds without let-up until help arrives, or until the heart is felt to be beating normally again.
8. Deep breaths get oxygen into the lungs and coughing movements squeeze the heart and keep the blood circulating. The squeezing pressure on the heart also helps it regain normal rhythm. In this way, heart attack victims can get to a hospital.
9. Tell as many other people as possible about this. It could save their lives!!
10. A cardiologist says If everyone who gets this mail kindly sends it to 10 people, you can bet that we’ll save at least one life.
11. Rather than sending jokes, please... contribute by forwarding this mail which can save a person’s life.
12. If this message comes around you... more than once… please don’t get irritated... You should instead, be happy that you have many friends who care about you & keeps reminding you how to deal with a Heart attack.
please take the time and boost this post by reposting it and sending it to those you love because we all need to understand how to quickly deal with heart attacks

Casual art public service announcement:
Digital painting = painting with light
Primary colours red, green, blue.
Mixed together, white

Traditional old-style painting = painting with pigment (miniscule, opaque, solid particles) primary colours yellow, red, blue
Mixed all together: brown

Traditional modern-style painting = painting with more accurate pigments
Primary colours cyan, magenta, yellow
Mixed together: BLACK
(This is just CMYK colouring, but it really helps to mix colours according to this set in traditional painting for more vibrant colours (also why you need to convert your digital images to CMYK for print to preserve the painting with light that you do on your lit computer screen (note the primary light colours as secundairy colours in the CMYK system)).

And this is why mixing colours sometimes gets really weird, and all depending on what you’re going for/using/end result.

Also Tan is not a very smart.

Upcoming fanfic cover!
Jooseon period drama of courtesan Gyeongsu (Hoseok) and impoverished cloth merchant Yoongi. Hoseok is a very rare male hybrid, prized for his lineage and training, but he’s still just owned property to a city entertainment parlor. Yoongi is determined to set him free, but without money that’s a pretty hard thing to do.
Posting this on my writer alias; my art handle is Tangrim.

no offense but… whats the point in saying something rude about someone’s favorite things to their face just bc you don’t personally like it or have the same taste as them… like what do u get out of that interaction other than prove that you can’t respect your friend’s interests

Artist Asks!
Do you prefer traditional drawing, or digital?
How long have you been drawing?
How many classes have you taken?
Do you have a DeviantArt, personal website, or art blog?
What’s your favorite thing to draw?
What’s your least favorite thing to draw?
How often do you use references?
Do you draw professionally, or just for fun?
How much time do you spend drawing on an average day?
Are you confident about your art?
How many art-related blogs do you follow?
Is it okay for people to ask you about your process?
Do you prefer to keep your art personal, or do you like drawing things for other people?
Do you ever collaborate with others?
How long does an average piece take you to complete?
Do you draw more today than you did in the past, or do you draw less?
Do you think you’re justified in giving other people art advice?
What are you currently trying to improve on?
What is the most difficult thing for you to draw?
What is the easiest thing for you to draw?
Do you like to challenge yourself?
Are you confident that you’re improving steadily?
Do you draw more fanart, or more original art?
Do you feel jealous when you see other people’s art, or inspired? (Be honest!)
Do you like to draw in silence, or with music?
For digital artists: what program(s) do you use?
For digital artists: how many layers does a typical piece require?
For traditional artists: what medium do you like most? (Pencil, charcoals, etc)
For traditional artists: How do you usually start on a big piece? (Light sketch, colored lead, sketchpaper, etc)
What inspires you to not just make art, but to be a better artist?

I’m really bad with inktober.. but the one of 10/10/2018 “Flowing” was fun to draw and then paint :)
The subject of Flowing somehow turned into a Hanahaki concept of violets. Hanahaki is a fictional disease where the favourite flower of the one you fall in love with, grows in your heart and lungs. The longer the love goes unrequited, the more the plant grows and slowly kills you from the inside, and the person starts to cough up flower petals.
(should’ve used a reference..)
