Oh a Ferris racing team with Hal as the driver would go insane. I picture Hal as similar to Ayrton Senna. It’s all there, his father building him his first go-kart around 13, knowing his cars like an extension of himself to the point of giving detailed explanations about how they’re performing and what they’ll be like on the track. During the Dallas Grand Prix, Senna hit the wall on the track and said the wall moved because he was so precise about his driving and the smallest of gaps that he just knew. And he was right. Tell me that’s not a Hal Jordan thing, that’s basically how he pilots. He’d be able to tell if something was off about a car by just hearing it drive a few times. He’d be a risky driver that makes Carol’s head turn gray and the other drivers infuriated. In rain, he’d drive like he’s flying. Wouldn’t matter how injured or dangerous the sport would get for him either, he’d keep coming back.
