How To Get Your William Afton To Turn Monochrome: A Handy Guide

(For context: This is a follow-up to this post. Do not attempt to do this to your version of Purple Guy unless you think this is an interesting writing and/or art challenge. This will also probably work on Springtrap, so feel free to alter this method to your liking.. I guess.)

(Because I’m not sure how long this will be, the bulk of this will be under the cut.)

Are you tired of your William bragging about himself all the time? Are you bored of the standard UCN or Springlock angst you put your Purple Guys through? Are you just curious to know how a (somewhat) normal human can lose his colors and look completely monochromatic?

If you said yes to any of these questions, congratulations! You and your William are perfect for this guide. Originally patented by Discord from Generation 4 of My Little Pony, this handy-dandy trick will ensure you get that break from your more overbearing interpretations.

..But that’s enough infomercial-type stuff. Let’s get to the actual instructions.

Step 1: Put your William in a situation where such an event can occur. For example: If he’s scared of mirrors (or just insecure about his looks), you can lead him into a hallway of mirrors.

But, of course, these aren’t just any mirrors..

Step 2 (Important!): Use your William’s methods against him. Be very sure you know how your William ticks before engaging in this step. Will yours buckle under pressure at the first insult or will he take a bit of convincing? Will you have to use multiple tactics or can you just pull a fake Jedi Mind Trick and be done?

To continue the example from earlier: Mine is a bit more self-conscious, but it will take time for him to go full monochrome. I think it’d be best to turn one of these “reflections” into one of his own aliases, Steve Raglan. Knowing Steve, I’m sure he’ll be able to get the ball rolling.

Step 2 will take a while, so let’s move on to the final section.

Step 3: Document the results (and maybe try to figure out the antidote if all goes south). As soon as you see his colors fade and his mood change, your job is essentially complete! Sure, you may need a color-draining entity or a remnant-altering something-or-other to really get this to work. However, as I said in the first step, you’re the one putting that man in situation. You set the stage, the circumstances I didn’t cover, and the—

Aaaanyway, have fun with your new and “improved” William! And if he’s more of the skittish type out of the gate, well uhhh…

A while back there was a post going around about how Jack Black doesn't need any context, like he could be slotted in to any situation and you'd just say "yep, that's so.e prime Jack Black right there.

However recently it has struck me that there is another entity with a similar level of universal appropriateness: one Hatsune Miku.

After that revelation, I couldn't stop thinking about taking the both of them and just putting them into situations.
