dorlene’s dynamic in my head is so funny to me cause you have the two most competitive people on rival quidditch teams who love to rile each other up (whether on or off the pitch) and are screaming at each other before, during, and after a match which then leads to madame hooch having to separate them before they kill each other, but not even 15 minutes later their teammates will catch them making out passionately by the bleachers

Imagine if Marlene came from a homophobic/emotionally abusive household (chairs were thrown, punishments gaslighted, father always yelling) and decided to leave during her last year of Hogwarts, not stepping a foot near that house until she came back to tell them she was engaged to women.

Imagine her only telling Peter and Dorcas that she was going back since they were the only two who knew about her family and who she trusted the most.

Imagine the Death Eaters busting down the McKinnon door mid-way through a disastrous Argument, killing Marlene's mum first.

Imagine Marlene grabbing her brothers and pushing them upstairs, away from the Death Eaters while their father tried to hold them back.

Imagine Marlene's youngest brother running down the stairs to try and help their father (even after Marlene yelled after him to stop and stay with her) only to get hit by the killing curse square in the chest.

Imagine Marlene clutching onto her other brother, trying to find a way to get him out of the house so she pushes him towards the fireplace.

Imagine Marlene taking off her jacket and wrapping it around him through tears, telling him to use the floo powder and go to the apartment she shares with Dorcas.

Imagine him picking up the floo powder ready to drop it when a flash of green leaves him crumbled on the floor.

Imagine Marlene crying and thrashing as she holds the body of her brother while the gang of death eaters approach them and the one in front points his wand directly to her face.

Imagine Marlene screaming out "You bastards" until the death eater in front takes off his Cloak to reveal that he is Peter, and Marlene goes silent.
