"oh but your favorite shows are going to be delayed by the strikes" my favorite shows consistently get cancelled after 2 excellent seasons bc of the exploitive corporate greed that these strikes are fighting against

i SWEAR i can write so much better of an arc for wanda and it’s not even that fucking difficult
what the hell is with the indecisiveness of her age, morals, and wants? like her character could have been GREAT,, everyone loves the misguided/reasonable villain turned good guy, and Elizabeth Olsen is such a good fucking actress
like yeah i think the sitcom bit was why i liked wandavision so much, but that is legit the ONE media i sort of like wanda, and it’s because Olsen is a fucking tank of an actor. She made me believe she and Vision’s relationship was healthy (which it isn’t but still),  she sold the motherly love part, NAILED the villain part, and ep 8 KILLED me. had it been another character i probably would have still been moved, but Olsen SOLD the broken, lost, and denial feelings Wanda had
but overall wanda’s character still sucks in terms of redemtion arcs (BOTH of them), and while Wandavision ep 8 made me sympathise for her a lot, i still disliked her bc the show did the whole “you’re still the hero of this story” bit and made her avoid responsibility AGAIN,
i wanna make another post about how I would have written her redemption arc, and i GUARANTEE so many more people would prefer her after that. I honestly do want her to have a better arc if she ever comes back, because i honestly love lizzie, but i hate wanda pre-wandavision and tolerate her afterwards. And Olsen clearly wants a good story for her, and she has not gotten that so far
sooo potentially not Wanda friendly but...
where did the audience even get the idea that the maximoff twins were tricked by hydra? like where did it come from that they thought they were shield??
the fuck you mean they were kids who joined shield to serve their country? they were 24/25 yrs olds who willing signed up for Hydra’s human experiments to get REVENGE,, no they weren’t just kids, and they were not joining to fight for their country,, and no where in the fucking movie did i see/hear they joined SHIELD, not HYDRA.
Honestly, i’m willing to concede that maybe there was a note on the tablet Hill was reading from or something, but considering something like that would only be known/seen by someone going frame by frame, imma guess the creators didn’t really care about getting that info across
like it wouldn’t have even been that difficult to make them sympathetic. just add in Hill’s explanation like “oh they joined before the SHIELD info dump, and after Hydra threatened them to stay” or something. or add that yeah they want revenge, but also care about their country so Hydra threatened to bomb more places or something
like yeah that’d complicate their actions in opening fight scene, but just have what’s-his-face force them to attack Avengers, tell them that’s getting first revenge on Tony, and them later switching sides from Ultron to Avengers makes much more sense,, they still cared about the majority of people then and only helped hydra to protect Sokovia, and now they know ultron wants to destroy the world, they’re not switching sides out of self preservation, but out of genuine care for the world

AFAB non-binary people are way too often invalidated and called “not trans enough” or “privileged” or “transmisogyny-exempt” or other things like this, and this is a major issue.
and
AMAB non-binary people are way too often excluded and seen as predators or inherently dangerous in “safe” spaces, or even unduly associated with masculinity, and this is also a major issue.
Both are true at the same time, and both are issues that the trans/nonbinary community should work on to make it safer for everyone. And, more importantly, both are consequences of nonbinary people being shoved back into the binary of their AGAB, with various notions of privilege associated with it.

nobody, i repeat, nobody has any say on your identity and labels but you! you dont need to ask anyone for permission, and certainly dont let anyone try to make the decision for you!
"can i use this label if i-" yes! if you think the label describes you and your experiences for any reasons, use it!
labels are not boxes to organize ourselves into neat groups. theyre for expressing our lived experiences! to represent our communities and feelings!
we are not prescribed our labels if we check off certain boxes, we choose them based on what we want to share about ourselves and our lives! they can be as specific, vague, close-enough, unspecified, or anything else as we want them to!
language isnt static. we create language to best express ourselves, and can mold it into any form as we please, or scrap it and create something new to better fit us.

you know what’s sad? 🥲
in aou until we next see him, wears a strand of Loki’s hair braided into his own because he thought he was dead. It was really sweet and all, and made my heart melt despite knowing Loki was alive and well because Thor just loved his little brother so much even after the invasion in NY.
Tumblr media
In Thor Ragnarok, we see him forcibly get his hair cut. At the time, I believed it was because he’s a royal so it’s the whole “disgrace touching me without permission,” but also Thor is pretty humble at this point so genuine fondness for his long hair was probably a big part of his refusal. But then Loki dies again and we see his tattoos that feature all his major losses, but mainly feature around his brother. Thor probably wanted something more permanent after his braid was cut off, so he got his back tattoos to replace where his brother always was :,)

The names of the Club Q victims are out. Let’s pay our respects to each of them and celebrate their lives.
Tumblr media
Daniel Davis Aston, 28
Daniel was a bartender at Club Q. An outspoken trans man, he continuously helped raise donations for Black trans people on his Instagram. He was “the light in every room” according to his close friend.
Tumblr media
Raymond Green
Raymond was celebrating his friend’s birthday when the shots broke out. His friend Rich apprehended the shooter as he died. After his death, his girlfriend posted on Facebook, “u are my home. my heart. my everything. u changed my life. u made life worth living.”
Tumblr media
Kelly Loving, 40
After moving from Florida, Kelly was new to the Colorado scene. A nurturing soul, she was “like a trans mother” to her friends. “She was loving, always trying to help the next person out instead of thinking of herself. She just was a caring person,” her sister told the New York Times.
Tumblr media
Ashley Paugh, 35
Ashley and her friends decided to go to Club Q after spending time shopping and getting dinner together. She was a family woman and “lived for her daughter” according to her sister. She is survived by her husband and 11-year-old child.
Tumblr media
Derrick Rump, 38
Always bubbly and joking, Derrick had no shortage of friends in the community. He was a part owner of Club Q. “He was a kind loving person who had a heart of gold,” his mother told reporters. “He was always there for my daughter and myself when we needed him also his friends from Colorado which he would say was his family also. He was living his dream and he would have wanted everyone to do the same.”
Colorado Gives is the official donation site for the survivors and victims’ families. Please donate if you can!
