What do Moiraine post 3x08, Victor Frankenstein from Penny Dreadful and a Dark Urge necromancer have in common?

exactly… they probably need a hug (and some meds), and they make the perfect setup for a dark fanfic crossover!

now, I’m not saying I’m starting something new before finishing Gold & Blue (which I will, I promise! More on that soon), but it never hurts to brainstorm… right?

Siuan dreamed of the sea.

Not the quiet bay of Tear but something older. Deeper. The water stretched out like black glass, flat and endless. No waves. No breeze. The air was dead still. And the white moon hung overhead like an eye carved into the sky, watching.

Her bare feet sank into the shore, wet sand gripping her ankles. She stood at the edge and looked down. Her reflection stared back, half lost in the dark water. But it wasn’t right. Her face was ashen, her eyes rimmed in silver. When she blinked, the reflection didn’t.

Then the air shifted behind her, and a voice came with it.

“You’re not supposed to be here.”

Siuan turned.

A girl stood a dozen paces away. Barefoot like her. Pale feet on black sand. Long dark hair hung damp down her back. She looked young, no older than a novice, maybe even younger. But there was weight to her, like something old was sitting just beneath her skin.

“Am I dreaming?” Siuan asked.

“No,” the girl said. “You’re tethered.” Her voice echoed oddly, like it was close and far off at the same time. “Someone weaved your thread back into the Pattern. But it’s bleeding.”

Siuan looked down.

A single strand of red stretched from her chest, trailing across the sand and disappearing into the sea.

“I know what she did,” Siuan whispered. “I felt her do it.”

“And yet you let her.”

“What I supposed to do?“ she stepped forward, jaw tightening. “What she did was done out of love.”

“No.” The girl answered simply, not flinching or blinking. “It was done out of madness. You know what she’s become.”

Silence.

“She’s drawing too much attention,” the girl continued after a while. “Not just mine. There are others who sense what she did. Who hunger for it… There are doors that were never meant to open, especially not by a mortal. But she is knocking on all of them at once.“
