Don’t really have anything to post. A lot of my drawings recently have just been planning for animatics (coming soon……) anyway here’s character designs for a hypothetical animated lord of the flies adaptation

I check the lotf tag every couple of days and I swear there’s always something new and frankly depressing going down. I’m not the most active member of this fandom, and I’m not close with anyone involved in the latest discourse…or the discourse before that…or (the list goes on)…but as an artist in general, I’ve gotta put my two cents in.

This is a community of artists, writers, and overall creative people. To me, art is a safe space, and it really bothers me that people feel so uncomfortable with this fandom that they have to leave it, and all of the art and joy that it brings, behind.

Long story short: from an artist to my fellow artists, please be respectful and kind.

It’s all “is Mike gay? Is Mike bi?” and never “is Mike aspec?”

Mike has shown no problem with physical touch, but the way he approaches love and understands it (or, well, doesn’t understand it) is personally a billboard sized sign that he’s on the aromantic spectrum.

And to go even further with my aspec silliness…both Mike and Will are asexual and demiromantic. What then. What if the two of them are opposed to romance not only because of the stifling homophobia of the era, but also the heavy (and still present) focus on romantic relationships over friendship?

Season three specifically shows that the party believes that “growing up” and “maturing” is getting a boyfriend/girlfriend. And social nonconformity is a running theme in Stranger Things overall…So I present to you…

Lotf community, how would you feel about a discord server for younger people in the fandom(~13-17)? I remember that age gaps have made people uncomfortable in the past, and I was wondering whether a smaller community server would be helpful.
