Ok but the whole "dsmp/mcyt introjects = faking" thing is so stupid?????

Like, no shit a lot of systems who use social media who don't show their face are gonna be dsmp/myct fans???

First off, the fandom skews young. That is pretty obvious. Social media also skews young. And guess what, kids with a disorder caused by trauma are often not gonna be in a position to safely have their face attached to an account talking about that disorder. Because they're often still in that environment, so it would be super unsafe.

But why would the fandom be so high in systems anyway? Long story short, comfort and familiarity.

Long story long, a ton of kids of the age that the mcyt fandom mainly is grew up with old mcyts, grew out of them, then returned to an old and familiar comfort during the pandemic. And because a literal pandemic is going to be stressful, a lot of systems split because of it. It's only natural that a combination of the two are gonna create a lot of mcyt/dsmp introjects.

A third thing to consider: Ranboo's server, which is probably one of the most inclusive one for systems, by the system role numbers, is at about 2% systems. Which is about the same as the general prevalence rate. So it might not even be an abnormally large number of systems have dsmp introjects, maybe its just a big fandom that is a comfort to a lot of mentally ill teenagers.

I don't think this needs to be said but I'll say it anyway, any fakeclaiming on this post will just get you blocked
