Dan Le Sac vs Scroobius pip - STUNNER [Explicit]
For those of you who did not know, now you do, this is Dan Le Sac Vs Scroobius Pip. The UK electronic hip-hop/rap/spoken word duo are back after 3 years away from the music scene (together, at least). They have returned with what can only be described as a hauntingly fresh and altogether different sound to what was put out on their last album together.
Scroobius Pip's lyrics are as ever catchy, well written and under the surface meaningful. Whilst the beat that Dan Le Sac has produced is complimenting and contrasting the lyrics extremely well.
I cannot now wait for their 3rd album ('Repent Replenish Repeat') to drop on the 7th October 2013.
Whilst not pertaining to this song, but still important, their other two albums ('Angles' and 'The Logic Of Chance') are available to download now on their Itunes page.
Happy Listening - Oliver

Eminem - Survival [Explicit]
Slim Shady himself is back with this new track that's going to be on the newest Call of Duty game. He brings his classic angry sound that feels both familiar as well as new and fresh. A lot of people have been disappointed overall with the rap scene lately, but this should change some minds. -Josh

Yuck - Middle Sea
Absolutely love this new song from London-based band, Yuck. Former frontman Daniel Blumberg parted ways with the group to work on solo music, but Max Bloom is doing a wonderful job if you ask me. This song is available for immediate download with you pre-order the album, so if you dig it, jump on that! -Josh

Following on from the gorgeous, swirling, melodic miasma of the aptly titled “Rebirth”, comes the next track from the next chapter of Yuck - the effervescent pop verve that is “Middle Sea.”   Taken from the forthcoming, Chris Coady produced LP Glow & Behold, it brings frontman Max Bloom’s beautifully evocative vocals to the fore for a galvanizing alt-rock anthem like only Yuck know how to do. The ghosts of other indie giants like Superchunk and Yo La Tengo abound for sure, but with horns, driving guitars and deliciously infectious hooks, it is also entirely and defiantly its own beast, and yet another reason to get very excited indeed about the sophomore album, due Oct. 1 on Fat Possum.

At Dawn We Rage - Leave It Open
I've got to admit, I've never really listened to ADWR before, but man have I been missing out. They're a three-person electronic music group comprised of a producer, drummer, and guitarist/keyboardist. This particular new track doesn't seem to have much live instrumentation, but it's absolutely incredible. In fact it's probably in my top ten favorite glitch-hop tracks ever. It's both super relaxing and yet super heavy too. I'm definitely going to look more into these guys, and I'm thinking you should too. -Josh

Day One - Horizon
Day One, a British producer on probably my favorite electronic music label, Monstercat, released this song about two weeks ago, but I just saw it today when MrSuicideSheep shared it. The song has a really cool sound to it; Day One labels it as "melodic glitch hop," and that's probably the best description for it. There's a lot of really beautiful atmospheric elements, great drum work, and wonderful piano and synth as well. I really recommend giving this a listen even if you don't usually love electronic music. Plus, it's free! -Josh

Novelette - Lost Boys
I first heard Cara Salimando a few years ago with her song "Dust," and immediately fell in love with her voice. She did quite a bit of writing and touring since then, but recently formed this indie dream-pop band Novelette with two other members. It's a slightly different direction for Cara but it works incredibly well.
The band is currently trying to release an album and have a Kickstarter going, so if you dig this song, definitely consider backing the project (there's all kinds of prizes of course). They have less than a month left, and it's looking like they will be able to release the record, so even if you aren't able to back it, be on the lookout! -Josh

Candyland ft. Peter Dawson - Castle of Affair (Butch Clancy Remix)
I've been following Butch Clancy for quite some time now, and he never disappoints. Whether he's making dubstep, trap, or some other kind of electronic music, he does it wonderfully. His synth-work is some of the best out there, and I love how in this track, he puts his own spin on the stereotypical "trap laser" sound. And unlike too many tracks in EDM these days, this song isn't all about the drops, it actually takes you on a pretty nice journey through some great tones and sounds. Definitely get this free download and check out some more of his stuff! -Josh

Crash Of Rhinos - Knots LP
This is the UK band's second album, the first being Distal, and was just released on Topshelf Records. The album is beautiful, especially as a whole work with how it flows, and I was definitely impressed when I heard it. The band mixes a lot of different elements together like punk, indie, hardcore, and math rock, and even though there are other bands mixing similar genres, Crash Of Rhinos really stands out as a band with a sound that's truly their own. Check it out! -Josh

Eric Whitacre - Fly To Paradise
This is Eric Whitacre's latest composition with Virtual Choir 4. I think the video is a little off-putting for some unclear reason. But the musicality is definitely Whitacre's. I'm not sure I enjoy this development of Whitacre's, videlicet the electronic aspect, but it is most definitely a positive thing that he is developing his sound and composing what he likes, not just what the people want (which is certainly a quintessential attribute of his). -- Tom

Genetix - Squid Attack (FuntCase Remix) / Bassline Business
When I first started getting into dubstep back in 2010, Genetix's "Squid Attack" was actually one of the tracks that really made me fall in love with the stuff. Before, I had been pretty into electronic music but more of the lighter stuff like trance and house. Then I heard all the crazy tracks like "Squid Attack" and my mind was blown.
Apparently this track was originally released through Audio Phreaks about a year ago, but is now, three years after the original, being re-released through Circus Records with "Bassline Business," which is equally as great. Anyone who says dubstep is dead needs to take a good listen to stuff like this. -Josh

OSIRIS REX - Marina
I may possibly be biased, but I think I would love these guys even if I didn't know them personally. Their song "Marina" is so calming and reminds me of all the times I've felt content in life.

The Civil Wars - From This Valley
This folk/Americana duo has blown me away from when first saw them in a small local venue with a friend who dragged me along even though I (nor anyone else I knew) had heard of them. The Civil Wars is made up of John Paul White, previously a solo musician and song-writer, and Joy Williams, formerly a contemporary Christian singer. Seeing the two perform together is like magic, and I've loved them ever since.
The Civil Wars released their first full-length album two years ago in 2011, and are releasing their sophomore self-titled album on August 6 of this year. I haven't seen anything online about this song, even on the band's Facebook or Twitter, but noticed it was new on Spotify. Hardcore fans might recognize this song from one of their performances or have seen it on YouTube, but it has now been officially released and will be included on their new album. -Josh

Tolerance - Walking On A Dream (An Indie Electronica Mix for MrSuicideSheep)
We've posted another one of these long mixes featured on MrSuicideSheep's channel before, and this one is just as wonderful. With songs picked out by MSS and mixed by Tolerance, this mix is full of all kinds of great sounds. It's a perfectly lighthearted, fun, and beautiful summer mix with featuring some artists you may be familiar with already like Charli XCX, The Cults, Passion Pit, and even Hall & Oats.
From MrSuicideSheep:
When compiling the tracks for this mix I had the image of chill Summer barbecue or the perfect sunny road trip. I think it turned out perfectly thanks to Tolerance's flawless mixing.
