The Edge of Desperation

The Story: Estelle pushes herself hard, fearing what might fall apart if she doesn’t keep it all together. But Lucian sees the cracks forming, the weight she refuses to set down. He doesn’t wait for her to ask. He never does. In the low heat of the firelight, Lucian strips away more than her clothes. He strips away her defenses. One touch at a time, one whispered command after the next, he gives her what she won’t admit she needs—surrender, release, and his control. These nights are never casual. They’re not games or indulgences. They’re rituals. They’re reminders. When Estelle gives in to Lucian entirely, it’s never just about pleasure. It’s about the way she trusts him to take her apart. And the way he puts her back together again.

The Edge of Desperation is a story I've been working on for far longer than I should have been. Seriously, it should have been finished and long posted before now. But, it is what it is.

I originally started this story to dip my toes back into writing erotica. I enjoy writing in the genre and it's something I've been wanting to get into more seriously. It's been a couple of years since I've sat down and written anything and decided to take it slowly with a nice, simple story.

It has turned into anything but simple because it took on a mind of its own. I'm not even mad. The story originally started out to be roughly 5,000 words. I hit 3.7K in the first "chapter" alone. And, I'm still not done with the beginning. I have a lot of editing left to do, along with formatting and figuring out where the breaks will be for posting, but I will get it done.

While I won't be posting The Edge of Desperation here because it's highly NSFW, you will be able to find it on my Reddit.

🧠 About Me Hi, I'm TNM. I'm a writer who comes and goes like a cryptid but always returns where the words are. This isn't my first writing account, and it won't be my last, but it's the one I've carved out to be a little more chill and a lot more me.

I write erotica, yes—but that's not the only side of me. I write stories that are slow burns, down and dirty, an emotional gut punch, and have dialogue that makes you reread it just for the ache (heart or groin, it's your choice). Reddit is where the more explicit stuff lives.

Here? We vibe.

I love fantasy and myth—especially Greek mythology—and I always have a few WIPs running in the background that may or may not see the light of day. I've got a soft spot for morally questionable characters, chaos demons, and stories where things get just a little weird. I read a lot (urban and epic fantasy, historical fiction mysteries, supernatural mysteries) and keep adding books to my TBR like I have infinite time. I don't.

My Goodreads mocks me, and my Kindle judges me.

I'm a nerd in the classic sense: video games, anime, dice goblin energy, the works.

My gamer heart belongs to Mass Effect, Halo, Uncharted, Witcher 3, and Gears of War. I love Stardew Valley and Sims 4 (yes, I use Wicked Whims.)

My comfort shows bounce between Archer, Bob's Burgers, Big Mouth, and The Great North. I love Doctor Who, Star Trek, MCU, LOTR, and The Hobbit. I own too many dice for someone who hasn't played D&D in over a year.

My celeb crush list is too damn long to list, but I will climb Henry Cavill like a tree given the chance. Alan Ritchson can drill me with the reckless abandonment of a billion dollar oil company. And Benedict Cumberbatch can slam me harder than a screen door in a hurricane.

Music is the backbone of my writing space and life. I've been to more concerts than I can count. I listen to rock or K-pop when I'm hyped and jazz or lo-fi when I'm unwinding. I've gotten heavily into synth this year. The genre has become a staple when writing (and sleeping), along with a playlist of game/movie/TV scores that is so long I don't know what's on it anymore.

Anyway, this blog is a space for snippets, ramblings, aesthetics, books, playlists, and whatever else my chaotic brain decides to toss into the mix. Make yourself at home.
