So I'm going to do something I've never done and review a product. I am not sponsored by the makers of the product and have not received any type of reimbursement for my opinion.

Sleep has been a huge issue for me for the majority of my life. It's never come easily to me and once I do manage it, I'm normally plagued by nightmares, sleep paralysis, a few episodes of sleepwalking... It's been rough guys. I've been through the wringer when it comes to sleep improvement products and sleep medications as well. Pharmaceutical sleep meds have had moderate success but never for too long. Supplements and vitamins targeted towards sleep just never worked at all, and melatonin made my night terrors worse.

Embarrassing confession: I play those stupid little games on my phone that lets you cash out points for a few cents. It's not much, but can accumulate in the long run. The way those apps make the money to give out to players is through ad revenue. And this ad for these sleep patches kept popping up, because my phone knows my struggle. I decided to try these patches after a month or so of seeing them.

Introducing...

Wellamoon sleep patches ✨✨

What they advertise: Wellamoon patches advertise that the wearer should be able to get 8-12 hours of deep, uninterrupted sleep, using a patch that contains all natural ingredients: melatonin, magnesium malate, valerian root, and hops. The people in the ad are seen hopping around in their pajamas, implying they are bursting with energy the next morning.

Ordering: I ordered mine through Walmart, but, like, Google search 'wellamoon sleep patches Walmart's or something like that, don't search for it in the Walmart app. Shipping was supposed to bring them to me in the days. Unfortunately, storms and flooding combined with FedEx not running on Sundays, meant I didn't get them until Monday, midday. Wellamoon does have a website though, if you don't want to pay extra to the seller or Walmart, or if you want to stock up

The patch:

Last night, I took my shower and used exfoliating soap. The packaging says to clean your skin thoroughly and choose an area that is hair free of hair free as possible. It even has a list of recommended places. While I was waiting for these to be delivered, tried another brand of sleep patch (The Good Patch). It didn't stick very well, though it was effective. I chose to apply it to the top of my foot, as the other patches said to place the patch in a veinous area (excuse my ant bites, photo tastefully cropped so you can't see my toes) and I'm allergic to my watch band, which means my wrists are too damaged.

Let's talk about the quality of the patch itself. The material the patch is made of is much sturdier than the material of The Good Patch. It's a cloth based material with medical grade adhesive so it doesn't pull off as easily, which is great if you're an active sleeper. Also, it's a small thing, and I'm sure it's just a personal gripe, but with the Good Patch patches, I could see the color of the herbs that it contained, making it a yucky yellow brown color that made my nose wrinkle. The Wellamoon patches are printed with a blue background and moon graphic, super cute. No it doesn't effect the quality of the product but They™ say presentation is key

After application, I settled in and waited. And waited a little more. It wasn't 15 minutes like the ad says, closer to an hour, but it started working. It wasn't like a knock out switch, if that's what you're looking for (and I'm not sure it exists). But a general sleepiness and lassitude came over me around an hour after I applied the patch, and honestly I don't remember falling asleep.

This morning, I woke up feeling better than I have in a very long while. I wasn't groggy, I wasn't stiff and hurting, and I didn't want to just crawl back in bed. I wasn't jumping on my bed like a toddler, but I feel good, even still towards the end of the day.

I'll post updates if there is any change, but as far as I'm concerned, Wellamoon sleep patches met and exceeded my expectations, and I will be buying again! If you have sleep troubles or are feeling too tired in the day, I highly recommend you give these patches a try!
