I just watched a quiz show with my grandma where people were trying to figure out which greek god is male (the list was like Athena, Apollo, Aphrodite and Artemis) and they couldn't decide between Artemis and Apollo and now I'm sat here like 'dude is this just obvious to me because I like greek mythology or is this actually as basic as I think it is?'.

Couldn't even ask my grandma because she also instantly knew, which befuddles me even more.

Can someone who doesn't have any special interest in greek mythology help a girl out? 😂

Okay. so. I caved and watched 'KPop Demon Hunters' and oh my gods, the vibes are SO 2nd to 3rd gen kpop. I'm crying, I feel young again.

Sometimes I still wonder why the vampires in Twilight were making a big deal out of being a vampire.

Like, their life had exactly one caveat.

They drink blood.

Done. Zero issues otherwise.

They're immortal, they don't get sick, they get mate bonds, they sparkle in the fucking sun, they might get super cool powers, they don't have ta sleep, they're fast, strong and insanely fucking beautiful

WHY ARE YOU ACTING LIKE YOUR LIFE IS OVER?

Like, there's vampire types - looking at you, VTM - that are quite literally corpses during the day. They can't do anything. They just - corpse around. They also burn in fucking sunlight.

Do you get what that means? If someone finds your sorry corpse-arse during the day and decides to call the cops or open a fucking window you're toast! Poof - unlife over!

And some of those vampires? Can't use modern tech (or see themselves). Some are forced to wander, cursed to never sleep at the same place twice. Some have been twisted and changed enough to be repulsive monsters and others are quite literally driven to insanity.

And, quite frankly? Seems like half of them live extremely miserable lives, too!

But the twilight vampires? Literally none of those issues! Like, oh no, they have to go to high school a couple of times. Damn.

And don't get me wrong: I loved those books. I did. But come on.

From what I can understand:

Guy one says portraying Hera as a loving mother is 'sacrilegious' and a disgrace because she was a horrible mother.

Guy two says making Zeus look like a happy, loving father and husband is worse because he is, in fact, Zeus.

Guy one says he rather have a happy go lucky Zeus than a kind and loving Hera.

Guy two says that NO WAY IN HELL is that a fair trade off - he's rather have arsehole Zeus and nice Hera.

Both, however, are in firm agreement that Disney did Hades dirty because 'at least he can hold a relationship'.

Will continue to monitor.

I caved and - after nearly ten years of writing application letters near constantly - had Gemini help me write my recent applications.

For ten years I wrote so many gods damn application letters for damn near every thing - schools, universities, voluntary work, internships, special credit courses, work in general - and 95% of those didn't even get a reply. Not even to tell me 'lol nah but thanks', and I absolutely detest that. At least tell me that you don't want me, so I'm not stuck waiting; hoping for something that won't happen.

That - the non-reply - has been happening more and more ever since the plague, so I've decided that I'm done investing time into people who don't value it.

If you don't value mine, I won't value yours. Have fun reading the most basic arse application letters written in ten minutes with an AI tool and little to no effort.
