You know, my mother died unexpectedly late last year and I'm not lying when I say that, after the initial shock wore off and after the funeral waa done, I kinda expected to inherit something.

You know, she owned a house, a car, and had life insurance. So. Reasonable assumption, eh?

And I didn't expect anything like "Oh wow, now I can pay off my student loan!" - nah. But maybe like "Oh wow, now I can pay off the 800€ I still owe for my new laptop!".

Still reasonable, right?

Well. I got the letter today.

My sister and I are to inherit a whopping 100€. Not each, mind. Just. 100€.

So I'll get.

50€.

That I may or may not be taxed on.

50€, what the fuck. That's not even enough to buy fucking Scrivener.

More on the very random visual study, but I think we all know that most of kpdh is animated at twelve frames per second, right? That's why it feels a bit choppy and cartoony.

The demons are animated at 24 framed per second, though, which makes them seem oddly fluid in comparison and gives them a sense of otherness, WHICH we probably also all knew.

But later in the movie, I always assumed they'd switched to 24 frames per second as a whole cos it seems a lot smoother BUT I noticed that it seems to be just Rumi. I can't tell for sure cos netflix won't let me go frame by frame, BUT right now that's what it looks like and IF that is the case, it's such a smart way to utilise subtle story telling.

Rumi gets more comfortable with her half-demon self and thus doesn't try to fit into the human mold anymore (the twelve frames per second) and instead allows herself to be a little bit other (24 frames per second).

Could totally be wrong about this cos, as I said, going frame by frame on netflix IS really difficult BUT even if it's just a theory I thought someone might find it interesting so here we go!

I had to go to THREE birthdays IN A ROW. I spent every day since Thursday night on a birthday and guess what - THERE'S ANOTHER ONE TODAY.
