I got sneak attacked by Wyll Ravenguard and i aint even mad.
Because he has given me fuel for a sweet and spicy one shot involving a half dragon tav. (Cause monster lover Wyll for the win.)
Content warning/will feature: BDSM, Heat/Rut cycle, monster tav, Dom Wyll, Sub Tav, Breeding, pregnancy, egg laying and hatching, Wyll being a worry wort dad over a dragon child. Tav being a free roaming but watchful parent. I.E. If kid wants to wander off i let them wander off but keep a close eye on them.
Cliff notes under the cut.
The one shot takes place after Wyll, Danny(tav) and Karlach return from Avernus after fixing her engine and about a month after Wyll and Danny's wedding.
Danny wants to do something special for Wyll's birthday and remembers a discussion they had about Dom/Sub dynamics as a way for Wyll to be able to get back the sense of control he had lost over his time with Mizora.
They had had a lengthy discussion on limits and boundaries, possible safe words, and the whole nine yards.
Danny had even made sure to right it all down so they could have a working reference to work off of in case they got a bit to lost in the sauce or something came up they didn't expect.
And so, using Karlach as his co conspirator, they prepare Wyll's present for him, making sure that the afternoon and at least the next several days were clear of any meetings or parties, that all the supplies would be in easy reach, and that Danny would be all ready for him by the time his darling husband got home after a particular brutal meeting he had been dreading.
So, when Wyll gets home, Karlach takes all of his things and tells him that his husband got him a birthday present and that it is waiting for him in their bedroom.
Mildly suspicious because of Karlach's excitement and giggling he slowly makes his way back like a bunch of people were going to jump out and scar him to yell "Surprise!" any second.
Once he opens the door however, he walks in to find Danny completely naked, horns, wings, tail and scales all out, his legs bent at the knee and tied so he couldn't stretch them out, his thighs completely spread open and tied down so his slit was on full display, and his arms spread out and tied to the headboard above his head with what looked like red ribbon.
After a brief exit to compose himself and to give Karlach the go ahead to leave, he walks in and shuts the door behind him, making sure it is thoroughly locked so no one could intrude.
After a few cursory, "Are you sure's?", "Does it hurt at all?", and "It is really okay's?" Wyll double checks all the boundaries and safe words before letting himself take complete control of his gorgeous and wanton husband.
Quickly Danny finds out that he wasn't the only one preparing for such an occasion recently, as Wyll takes his time hitting and nursing every erogenous zone Wyll and Danny hadn't known existed before, due to the difference in dragon biology.
Something that Wyll had been self concious about because he couldn't pleasure his husband as well as Danny could pleasure him.
But it turns out, in his own desperate need to be able to properly please his husband, he had gotten a hold of the man or god rather, that had brought Danny into the world in the first place. Danny's father, impressed and enamored by Wyll's want to please his son, taught him everything he needed to know. Through books, diagrams and vivid description only of course.
And it was an education Wyll had took to with gusto, and used to make Danny into a whimpering and shaking mess in a very short amount of time.
However, after achieving one of the greatest O's Danny had ever had in his long life, he begins to realize with startling clarity that the Heat/Rut cycle he hadn't expected to come for another month had come early.
Due to this being the only time that Danny can become pregnant, combined with it being the first time that they had been able to enjoy each other in any way in weeks, he begins to freak out because he believes that Wyll didn't want children and this cycle was going to ruin everything.
However, Wyll being the attentive and compassionate lover we all know he is, gets Danny to tell him what's wrong and corrects him.
"The last time you went into your reproduction cycle we were still in Avernus, my love. But we are not there now, and being the father to a child you bore me would be the highest of honor's i could ever be given."
After letting Danny get a few tears out, and kissing the breath out of his lungs, he gets back to work, worshiping the beautiful body of the man he loved so much.
After letting Danny suck him down and then returning the favor after, the pheromones and taste of his love wake up Wyll's own internal dragon, causing him to snap off Danny's restraints and then proceed to breed him within an inch of his life, causing them to not leave the house for several days.
Not a fortnight after, Danny confirms that it took and before he can stop him, Wyll sends out invites to all of their former adventuring party for a baby shower in about the same time frame one would expect for a human pregnancy.
However, much to Wyll's confusion and worry, Danny begins to swell quite quickly and after about a month, lays a large silver grey dragon egg about the size of a 3-4 year old human.
A few weeks after that, the egg hatches and out comes a little girl of about four, with her Pa's silver grey eyes, black horns and a silver tail and her Daddy's rich dark brown skin and curly hair.
They named her Andromeda, giving her the name he once wore before Bahamut made him into what he was now.
A second chance for a piece of that girl he once was, to have the life she should have gotten.
When they get the invitation from Wither's they deem it the perfect way to alert all of their friends to the...change in plans and take her with them when they go.
Everyone is surprised that they are looking at what appears to be a 4 year old little girl who loves exploring but, once everything is explained, just laughs and is delighted about the new member to the growing ex Tadpole family.

To choose one's own leash.
Plot: A short convo of R'yleh's mother explanning the core of her son and why he seems so willing to be Astarion's monster.
"What are you afraid of kid?" No One asked as she stood behind Astarion at teh edge of the camp. "Most would jump at the chance to have a monster as powerful as my son at their knee's. Why not you?"
He whipped around, baring his fangs, "R'yleh is not some thing to be used!"
"It seems he thinks differently. Why not give him what he wants?" No One's face was like stone, her voice a huanting pragmatic montone.
it pissed him off, even though he knew she was trying to make some type of point.
"Because i know all to wel what that is like, and i don't want to subject him too it. Especially at my own hands."
She smiled then, a soft and adoring thing that made him feel like a child at his mother's feet, safe and warm, "There it is."
"What?"
"The reason why my son trusts you enough to hand you his leash." She then stepped forward and put her gloved hand on his shoulder, "You believe that my son wants to be some sort of slave to you, but that is not the case."
"Then what is it then?"
"My son wishes to follow. Follow his needs, follow his impulses, follow his wants and desires and follow his own choices. He has had to follow the whims of a being that only wanted him to kill and destroy. That wanted him to only be a machine of death and destruction. He wasn't allowed to be anything else. Much the same as you being Cazador's little honeypot."
He looked down at his feet, "But him becoming 'my monster' is just more of the same isn't it?"
"Is he just a monster to you? A tool to use to protect yourself with?"
He jumped as if startled and backed away, "Of course not! He's incredible! He understands me! He listens! He stands up for me! He...Gods...he is the best thing that has happened to me! I could never think of him like that!"
"And has he ever let you walk over him, even after he dedicated himself to you?"
"No. No he hasn't."
"I may not have had acess to my son for most of his life but his ways arn't nearly as mysterious and complicated as others seem to think. My son is very simple. Now that he is free, mostly, from his father he only wants to do one thing."
"And what's that?"
"What he wants. And what he wants, is to spend his life by your side, protecting you when you cant protect yourself, loving you when you cant love yourself, and to make sure that you are never made to feel like you are nothing but an object to be used, just like he was."
She reached out and gently rested her hand against his cheek, "When my son asked to you to let him be your monster, he was asking you to let him help you fight the battles you don't have the strength to do on your own. To let him take care of you and protect you, even if he has to cover his hands in blood. It is our way."
He could feel tears begin to burn his eyes, "I don't think i am worthy of that."
"Whether or not your worthy of it is up to my son. And he clearly thinks otherwise. I suggest you let him."

Your Still My Good Boy And I Will Always Be Your Knight.
This blurb is brought to you by a post asking what a tav in the middle of smexy time would think if Gale said Mystra's name but in a "Oh Gods!" or "Oh Fuck!" way.
It originally started out as my tav using it as inspiration to make Mystra jealous but then spiraled and evolved into a spicy, angsty, and sweet short fic idea that I will outline below.
TW: SA attempt mentioned.
Content Warning: BDSM dynamic. Soft/Pleasure Dom Tav and Praise Kink Sub Gale.
TL:DR: Cass(Tav) X Gale are happily married teachers at their respective schools doing there thing until a New Professor arrives at Black Staff Academy. This new Professor sets her eyes on Gale and doesn't take no for an answer, causing Cass to have to rescue her husband from being SA'd. Then, in order to reassure her panicking husband that everything is fine, it wasn't his fault and she isn't going to leave, she Soft Dom's the fuck out of him for an entire weekend.
Full Spicy Blurb under the cut.
Post Game Cassandra Drakenguard now Cassandra Dekarios, My Tiefling Eldritch Knight built like an oak tree and just as tall, has retired from being The Iron Dragon of Waterdeep to being a teacher at the Eldritch Knight school her family runs while Gale becomes a professor at his old alma mater Black Staff Academy.
They live together in his tower in Waterdeep, happily married and at peace in their new much more domesticated but still very spicy lifestyle.
Until that is, a new Enchantment Professor, Professor Arlen, arrives at Black Staff who sets her eyes on Gale.
Despite Gale being very vocal about his love for his wife and how incredible she is, Professor Arlen doesn't seem to care and actively starts to pretty aggressively, but without attracting attention from the deans, pursue him.
He brings this up to Cass as he grows increasingly concerned and confused, having never dealt with this before and was very out of his depth.
Cass tells him to let her talk to her but to document all encounters that make him even the least bit uncomfortable so they can gather enough proof to get the Deans to do something.
After talking with the woman and as civiliy and politely as she can tell her to "Fuck off", she seems to back away and they have a few weeks of peace.
However, when Cass goes away for two weeks to train her students the finer points of adventuring by taking them on the path her and the Tadpole Crew took when they went to fight The Absolute, she starts back up again.
Two days after she leaves, Gale gets an invitation to a gathering of Professors hosted in one of the main common rooms of the Academy. Gale thinks nothing of it since this was something that happened several times a year at Black Staff, accepts.
A week after she leaves, Cass "accidentally" receives a note that heavily implies Gale is cheating on her with this new Professor.
Even though it seems to be in his handwriting, she knows right off the bat it is fake and ignores it. Instead, she pockets the note so her sibling can reverse engineer the magic on the letter for evidence purposes and then sends a coded enchanted note of her own back to make it look like she believed it.
However, when it reaches Gale and he dispells the magic on the note, he see's that it is a warning that "She" in fact has not stopped and to be careful.
So in response, Gale has the new earring Cass got him for his birthday enchanted to shield against any charm spell that could be cast on him and wears it to the gathering.
Only, when he gets there, no else is there. And before he gets a chance to leave, Professor Arlen shows up behind him, locks the door.
This triggers a fight or flight response in Gale that in turn sets off the enchantment in he and Cass's wedding bands, alerting her that her husband is in danger.
With the help of her father and one of her younger siblings, she is able to teleport to the circle they have in Blackstaff that is opened to the professors and their spouses. She then uses the ring to track her husband down, and upon finding the commons room door locked, kicks the door in.
What she finds is Professor Arlen straddling Gale's lap, his shirt and vest ripped open and her dress partially down her shoulders and hiked up above her knees.
Cass also see's however, the Professor's barely contained smirk as she tries to play the "I didn't know he was with anyone card" while Gale lays limp beneath her, frozen in fear and his eyes glazed over in the same dissociative way Astarion's used to get and sometimes still does.
Upon seeing this, Cass's blood boils and smoke begins billowing out of her mouth and nose before she roars, "Get the Fuck off him You Fucking Rapist Bitch!"
The woman's face pales once she realizes the jig is up but before she can defend herself or get off a single spell, Cass is on her, ripping her off her husband and to the floor.
Cass then grabs her by the back of the neck and tosses her out the door into the hallway, the woman sliding a good 20 feet down the tile. Satisfied, she then closes and locks the door behind her, leaving her alone with Gale.
When she turns around to tend to him, he has come out of it and is curled up on the couch shaking and crying, apologizing through sobs, begging her forgiveness and to please not leave him.
Her anger instantly cools as the heart break for her husband kicks in and she pulls him into her lap, wrapping her much larger frame around him as he weeps openly.
They stay there until he calms and asks shakily to be taken home.
As they walk home, Gale shakily asks if she can "take care of him tonight", which she readily agrees too.
Once they get home Cass prepares a bath for him and while he bathes she gathers the items she will need and places them within easy reach of the bed. She then removes the shirt she had been wearing and training in all day and slips into the bathroom to leave it on the edge of the sink.
Finally she takes a towel and dries off the sweat of the day and lays it down on the bed, before patiently waiting just outside the bathroom door, naked form the waist up against the wall.
When he comes out, despite the clean robe he had grabbed before bathing, he was wearing nothing but the shirt she had left on the sink indicating all she needed to know about his mental state.
So, before beginning, she pulls him into her arms and takes the time to reassure him that what happened wasn't his fault, that they were still okay and most importantly, that she wasn't going anywhere.
And when it was clear he believed her, even if just in this moment, she leaned down and gave him a slow and tender kiss before letting go and walking towards the bed.
Once she got there she picks up a box among the items she gathered and opens it, revealing a soft, long and deep reaching strap customized to her own skin tone.
His favorite.
After donning it over her leggings, she readies her self by sitting up against the headboard, legs splayed to make room for him and then beckons him to her.
He questions her about her state of dress at first, nervous about him being the only one feeling good but she quiets his concerns after she offers to let him live between her legs for as long as he wants after.
Once he gets settled in her arms, his back against her chest, she begins to ready him with her fingers, slow and careful, keeping in mind what he just went through.
When he is ready, she hikes up her legs beneath his knees to spread him open and slides in the strap, nice and slow.
Once she bottoms out she slips her hands up underneath the shirt and begins to gently squeeze and rub at his chest and sides, before beginning move her hips in that slow and steady pace Gale loved.
Before long, what she expected to happen did and Gale began weeping and sobbing against her shoulder, describing between sobs what happend and how scared he was, how violated and sick it made him feel and how worried he was that she was right and that she was going to leave. He told her how he began to question his own feelings and that perhaps if his body was reacting maybe he was liking it and that he was just trying to save face after all.
And that the worst of it all, was that he couldn't remember how he ended up on the couch before she kicked the door in.
Immediately, Cass got to work in the way only she could.
With each slow drag in and out she told him that what he felt was real, reassured him that the body and mind can often act separately from each other, and that what she told him were what all those like her do so their victims blame themselves over them.
With each grind across his prostate she praised him for being brave enough to tell her, to be vulnerable with her, to trust her to help him and how proud of him she was.
When she wrapped her hand around his cock and began rubbing it in time with her thrusts, she told him how much she loved him, how she would always come when she needed her and if a literal Goddess couldn't separate them, then what hope did that monster have?
And as he began to become a whimpering and shaking mess, just on the edge of orgasm she says...
"I am your wife and you are my husband. Nothing is going to change that. I am your Knight. Always."
She then watches him fall apart, her arms wrapping tight around him as he screams her name in ecstasy.
For the rest of the weekend, they only leave their bedroom long enough to get their lessen plans done for the week and to eat. The rest of that time Cass makes sure that their is no doubt in Gale's mind that his wife loves him just as much as he loves her, that their marriage is as strong as ever and when the inevitable after effects of that sort of trauma come knocking, that she is right there to help him through it.
The next time they see Professor Arlen, she is being escorted out of Blackstaff, the evidence Cass and her family had gathered, the scrying eye that had been on patrol that night, her husbands testimony and the testimony of students that were given the courage to step forward because of her husband, brought forth more than enough proof to have her not only fired, but arrested.
Never to plague Black Staff or any other Magic School again.

The Son of Mystra Au remastered
This is a revised version of an Au that literally came to me in a dream a while ago. And as it happens with many of my idea's they tend to grow and change over time until they settle into exactly what they need too. So this, is the new version of this post:
Here we go:
TL;DR: Mystra makes a fail safe out of her oldest daughter, effectively making her a ticking magical time bomb that she uses to blast ambitious mages that threaten the weave off the face of Toril.
Only her daughter finds a way around it, The Karsite Orb, and is like "Fuck that shit and also I'm a dude now."
So Mystra assigns her son to bring her boys to become chosen instead.
Only he finds out what she does with them and is like "Fuck That" and trains his last pupil, Elminster, how to survive her and fucks off for a millennia.
However, Mystra's eyes eventually go astray and fall upon the young neighbor boy whom he talks magic with and sees as a little brother.
So he is like "Fuck you. I am not letting you have him!"
In response she rips the Karsite Orb from his chest, causing him to be lost to the Astral plane for about 20 years.
Once he makes his way back Bahamut shows up and is like, "Hi. I'm your dad now. Here is some of my blood to help reduce the severity of your flare ups but only if you keep using your magic. So to help with that, here is how to enchant stuff so you can regularly keep using your magic without it being weird and we can be a Father and Son team of traveling magic merchants. Cool? Cool."
Only then the Nautaloid happens, reuniting him with the boy he tried to save who now has his old orb in his chest and has been cast out for not being an obedient pet.
This is quickly followed by being swept off his feet by the blade of frontiers and figuring out exactly what the Absolute is and realizing the there is only one way it would be able to do what it's doing before they ever hear about Moonrise.
This means he also knew his mother's next move.
So in order to hopefully prevent it, he warns Gale and reveals to him the true nature of the gods. That way so when he is told to blow himself up he is much less inclined to both follow her orders or to become a god himself.
Instead they agree that if they cant find a way to destroy it that it is safest to return the crown to Mystra in order to keep the power out of mortal hands, regardless of Gale becoming Mystra's chosen again.
The rest of the game proceeds as usual after ,through a deal struck between Bahamut and Mystra, the ticking time bomb Mystra gave him is removed and he is turned into a draconic sorcerer with a mortal lifespan. Then after fixing Karlach's engine and helping Astarion walk in the sun again, he allows his gentle Wyll to put a ring on it, and lives out the rest of his life by the man's side, continuing the work of the wizard who had helped him in the first place.
For the Full Lore read under the cut.
After what Karsus pulled, Mystra decided that she was gonna make sure that she had a fail safe in case it happened again.
So, after she gave birth to several daughters, she had them compete with each other to prove who was the stronger magic user.
Andromeda, her oldest but also most "rebellious" daughter, proved to be the strongest despite her refusal to actively compete with her sisters and as a "reward" was gifted with a piece of Mystra that turned her into a weave generator and gave her the ability to see the weave as she did.
The unfortunate consequence for this was to make her a walking magic bomb on a timer, a wild magic sorcerer on steroids, whenever she was on the material plane.
This particular quirk proved useful for her mother, when others tried to repeat what Karsus did.
And since it made sense that she wanted to protect the weave and thus herself she didn't question when she was sent to the lairs and towers of ruthless and ambitions mages who insisted on repeating history.
However, everything changed when she was told about a wizard hiding in the ruins of one of the fallen cities of Karsus, that was currently using the Karsite weave for his own purpose.
Normally she didn't question her orders but there was something about how her mother was acting that gave her pause. But, when she tried to get more out of her, something she never had problems with in the past, her mother acted erratically and either refused to answer or changed the subject.
So, pushing down her suspicions for the moment to play the obedient daughter, she readied herself to be sent down as always.
When her vision cleared after plane shifting, to her utter horror she realized why her mother was being cagey.
This wizard indeed was hiding amongst old ruins of the Karsite empire but he wasn't alone.
An entire vibrant, bustling, and very much thriving town had grown up around the wizards tower. Men, woman and children were happily going about there day, laughing, loving, arguing, fighting and most of all...living.
Knowing she didn't have much time before tragedy would strike she took off towards the wizards tower, hoping to find an evil wizard who had used the karsite weave to put the entire town under a spell, or that maybe the town was just an elaborate illusion and should it ever drop, the villagers would be revealed to be a massive army of monstrocities or undead under the wizards control.
But when she got to the tower, the wizard was waiting to greet her, as if he knew she was coming.
He led her inside and showed her exactly what he was doing.
He told her of his brother who was born a wild mage. He had lost him to a mob after he accidentally turned the mayor's daughter into a sheep when he tried to cast dancing lights to impress her.
He told her of other wild mages who had met similar ends either by the hands of others or their own because of being burdened with magic that they couldn't control.
As he began to explain how he wanted to do something to help them, she searched him eyes for any sign of deception.
There was none.
The truth of why her mother had been so cagey about this place began to make itself known as he described how he had found a way to make the Karsite weave inert and harmless. In doing so he was able to reverse engineer it to make the very thing that was the reason this town built up around him.
It turns out, that the people that lived here were the descendants of all the wild mages he had saved by creating the Karsite Orb, a magical item that when placed inside the body of a wild mage, stabilized the chaotic forces within the sorcerer by feeding on the excess magic they produced that caused the bursts that they were known for.
She realized then why her mother wanted her to destroy this place.
She wasn't like her other sisters who took their mother's word without question. She had seen the writing on the wall. She knew her mother's true nature, as much as she wanted to believe otherwise.
She had hoped that being her child might make things different but it was clear it didn't.
So, as she felt the timer begin to get to it's final minutes, she leaned into her "rebellious" nature and showed the wizard that she too was a wild mage and that her godly mother had sent her to destroy him and his entire town.
But if he helped her break herself of her chain, she would be able to leave this place behind without so much as a scratch on the towers paint.
The man eagerly agreed and pulled out a shelf where several of the dormant orbs sat.
Over the next few moments he took the largest one that was the size of a fortune tellers crystal ball and activated it with a simple cantrip that set the orb to swirl and glow with a bluish purple light.
He beckoned her to open the tunic she wore, exposing her chest a few seconds before, "Brace yourself, this is gonna hurt.", and then slammed it into her chest.
The pain was extraordinary and caused her to pass out but once she re awoke, she cried as she realized that the timer that had plagued her for so long had not only reset but completely stopped.
After taking a few days to recover and to gain the copy of the orbs design for herself, she left the town just as she found it and began traveling the material plane of her own accord.
As she traveled and reveled in having powerful magic she had complete control over, she realized that the ticking time bomb in her chest hadn't been the only thing wrong with her and used her magic to remedy the situation.
By the time she saw her mother again, Andromeda was gone and in her place was Andrew, a man who still carried his long curly red hair and blue eyes but had shed every thing else.
Mystra didn't really care about the change but was mildly annoyed at what he had done to himself in order to obtain this newfound control.
However, once he showed her a copy of the design she begrudgingly agreed to leave the wizard and his town alone.
But now since she could no longer use him as a walking bomb, she reassigned him to the role of finding and training promising boy mages as her chosen, so that they could do the job he no longer could.
He accepted the task with a roll of the eyes and proceeded to head towards the first of what would be her many victims.
It took the disappearance of a few of his disciples after they left his side for him to get suspicious. When he would claim them for his mother he would always inscribe a tracking charm onto them in case they were needed and at least three of his "graduates" had seemed to disappear suddnely off the map. Concerned for these boys he pretty much raised, he tracked the signals to their last known locations.
And for the second time in his long life was struck with the true horror of how little Mystra cared for those that did her bidding.
Every single one had either let themselves die or took their own lives after his mother no longer found them useful and cast them aside like so much trash.
He tried to warn the rest of them but found, when compared to a goddess, the words of an old mentor meant next to nothing.
Eventually all of the ones he had raised met the same end, and by the time young Elminster was taken under his wing, he vowed not to let another suffer under his mother's gaze.
So, while he dutifully raised and trained Elminster to be her next chosen, he taught him how to see his mother as he did. He taught him how to recognize her tactics and not fall for them. He taught him to never try to be her equal for you are nothing more than a tool to her and if you play into it and never question her judegemnt, to her face, she would leave you to your own devices unless she needed something from you.
Thankfully, unlike his charges before, Elminster was a skeptical and rebellious kid like he was and followed his rules to the letter even after she took him as a lover.
This allowed him to eventually become one of the greatest wizards to ever live and gain a heavily extended lifespan that allowed Andrew, from having to send another lamb to slaughter for a good long time.
However, even Eliminster's great achievements weren't enough to keep her attention indefinitely and soon enough her eyes fell upon another young boy.
This time however, the boy was someone he already knew and had been in direct contact for several years. The boys mother lived in a house that was across the street form his magic store that supplied the nearby magic school with books and supplies.
The boy was a regular to the store, and would often talk about magic with him when the days were slow and his mother was busy running the household after his fathers sudden passing. Heart attack if he remembered correctly.
Overtime he had grown incredibly fond of the talkative kid and had come to care for him as an older borther would, helping him learn the magic he loved so much. The tressym that now followed the 8 year old boy around was a direct result of one of his lessons on how to summon a wizard familiar, in fact.
Tara, as she was called, had told him of how he had summoned her because his parents denied him a kitten. A story that had caused him to laugh so hard the tea he had been drinking went up his nose.
The kid was clearly a natural talent on top of being a lover of magic.
Which, as he got closer to the age his mother liked them, made him start to worry.
One of the worst days of his long life came the moment he felt his mother's eyes fall upon the young boy as he read peacefully in his shop.
"Are you okay, Danny? You look like your about to cry. Would you like a hug?"
Mystra wasn't happy when he refused to bring him to her and as retaliation, she used the orb designs he had given her to rip it out of his chest.
The resulting surge plane shifted him into the Astral plane, where he floated for 20 years before a second surge propelled him back to the material plane in the form of a fireball falling form the sky.
When he regained consciousness, he was in the back of a drake drawn merchant wagon with draconian runes carved on the inside and being driven by an older man surrounded by seven birds perched on various sides both inside and outside the wagon.
it took little time to realize who's wagon he was in.
As much as Gale had loved magic he loved dragons. Thier freedom, strenght and absolute confidence in themselves was somehting he envied and admired.
So there was no way he didn't know about the God of Dragon's favorite past time.
Unknown to both Mystra and himself, Bahamut had been keeping an eye on him for a long time, impressed by his sense of justice and strong will despite being the son of a goddess who hated both in her pawns. So when Mystra threw him away for the very thing he would have praised him for, he decided that if she didn't want her son he would claim him for himself.
With his consent of course.
Andrew eagerly accepted his offer, and was infused with Bahamut's blood in order to lessen the effects of his magic surges from city leveling to the occasional annoying or hilarious inconveniences.
The blood has it's limits however and for it to be effective he has to regularly use his magic to keep it from gettign built up to high. Luckily Bahamut had a simple solution, learing how to enchant and craft magical items. Enchanting items woudl allow him to reguarly purge the extra magic in his system and net him some decent coin as well so it was a win/win.
After he was confient in his new skills the two of them took to the road to find a good place to set up shop, the teo of them easily falling into a father and son realtionship as they spent the next 15 years as wandering merchants who set up temproary shops all across Fae-Run.
This life eventually led them to be running a shop in Yartar the day the Nautaloid split open the sky and started abducting people off the streets.
Andrew, who had up to that point had been teaching a young boy the finer points of his new sorcerer powers, saw one of the tendrils whipping down the street, heading straight for the the mother of the kids back.
Without a second's hesitation, he shoved the mother and child out of the way into Bahamut's waiting arms, letting himself get hit with it instead.
After the Nautaloid's crash, he finds himself reunited with the now adult Gale as his Mother's ex Chosen who now carried the orb that once resided in his chest, while at the same time finding himself being swept off his feet by the Blade of Frontiers that has only ever known courtly love before meeting him.
Of course, as they journey on and more information about their situation comes to light, he comes to a startling realization as to how the Absolute is able to do what it did with the tadpoles. Along with knowing that, if he is correct, he knows that it wont be long before his mother shows up to use her new walking bomb to take care of the problem like he used to do so long ago, only Gale wouldn't survive it like he could.
Not wanting him to suffer that fate, he explains what is going on to Gale who at first protests but, after a long discussion of who Andrew is and his history with her begins to believe him.
Then, sure enough, shortly after they start making the trip to Moonrise, Elminster arrives and tells Gale exactly what he expected Mystra to want him to do as well as giving him a message from Bahamut that Mystra struck a deal with him. The deal struck was that in return for letting him claim Andrew fully as a draconian sorcerer and one of his mortal dragons, emphasis on mortal, that she would remove the weave generator from his body, effectively negating any way he could use his power to get back at her for what she just asked Gale to do.
He readily agrees to the deal after he remembered having Gale use the orb in his chest to keep him from a pretty devastating magic burst that could have leveled the entire Risen Road/Emerald Grove Area.
Luckily, due to their previous conversation, Gale is a lot less willing to go through with it and instead begins to jump to ambitions of godhood. This prompts a conversation about the true nature of gods and how all the power they possess is actually in the hands of mortals because, without them, they wouldn't exist. And, as a god, you can't change and become better than you are like mortals can. Your stuck as the representation of whatever domain your given and that is all you will ever be.
This conversation ultimately convinces Gale to abandon his ambition and turns it towards perhaps finding a way to destroy it so another Absolute doesn't happen instead.
However they both agree, that if there isn't a way to destroy it, that it was safest to hand it over to his mother if no other reason than to make sure mortal hands can't get a hold of it again.
After the game, Andrew spends his time helping Karlach fix her engine, and to find a way for Astarion to regain his mortality or at the very least be able to walk in the sunlight again before letting Wyll change his name from Mr. Andrew Weave the Wandering Enchanter to Sir Andrew Ravenguard The Dragon Sorcerer of Baldur's Gate, living out the rest of the mortal life he was given by his side, using the original Karsite Orb design to help Wild Mages like that wizard who helped him so long ago.

Silent Intimidation
A blurb inspired by the "you look like a third son" convo between Gale and Minthara.
TL;DR: Taking place after Minthara's rescue, R'yleh (durge) and crew are making their way back to camp in an exhausted but peaceful and contented silence when Minthara decides to break it with the "you look like a third son" conversation.
Not liking his peaceful and contented hand holding session with Astarion being disrupted by her insulting his favorite gabby wizard, he decides to remind the newcomer of whom-st she travels with and where she currently stands in the pecking order.
After letting Minthara have a glimpse into the Eldritch Horror side of his Great Old One+Bhaalspawn nature, he tells her what he is willing to do if she does that again, before starting to turn back to his hand holding session.
However Minthara makes a not so veiled threat about his food in Under common which causes him to reveal the reason why nobody touches his snacks at camp.
Full blurb under the cut.
The long and exhausting day R'yleh and his crew of traumatized misfits had, was finally coming to an end.
The eldritch horror bhaalspawn yawned like a cat, his abnormally long tongue rolling out over his teeth, as he walked down the road that led back to camp. His long black hair was tucked back behind one ear, revealing the many bone charms that hung from his chain cuff earring, each one a hand carved representation of his fellow tadpole suffers that he had the pleasure and honor of calling family.
The brisk wind that ran down the trail made his long pitch black fabric coat that covered his equally black but simple v-neck tunic, form fitting trousers and scuffed up leather working boots, flutter and snap in the breeze. His left hand was buried past the wrist in the pocket on the same side while his right causally kept pulling out bits of his custom trail snacks he had been munching on for the better part of an hour.
As his sapphire blue eyes casually scanned his surroundings he took note of his friends positions.
Karlach was on point, as per usual, softly humming some tune to herself only she knew as she occasional skipped or danced a little jig as she walked ahead. Astarion was walking next to him on his right, his red eyes staring off ahead of him but not quite seeing anything, an expression he had ever since they dealt with that blood obsessed drow in the tower who was very close to getting his glaive through their stomach. Gale had his nose buried in a book R'yleh had "borrowed" for him walking few steps behind Astarion and him, somehow still able to avoid every pot hole, puddle and stray root in a way only avid readers seem to manage. Behind him was their new member, the Paladin and Ex goblin leader Minthara, whom he took from the tower in order to pick her brain for clues to the Absolute plot he had built but whose details still eluded him.
To be honest, he hadn't cared for her much when they first met in the Goblin Camp and despite agreeing to take her on after apparently failing his attempt at killing her, his attitude towards her hadn't really changed that much. But, she could still hold some info that might trigger his lost memory and he had always wanted to get the insider's look at drow culture anyway so she was still of some use to him at present.
That didn't mean he trusted her of course, so he made sure to place his girls at the rear in case she tried anything.
Glancing back behind the marching and glowering woman, he saw his beloved girls Yuna and Luna, two displacer beats he was reunited with in the dungeon of the towers.
Yuna was the larger of the two, built like Karlach and just as strong, she was a war cat without equal. She was a stoic and protective creature who had saved his hide on more than one occasion and had taken quite the liking to Astarion, much to his surprise.
Luna was the smaller of the two, built wiry and agile like Astarion, she was the hunter, the one no one saw coming until her fangs were around their throats. She was a daddy's girl through and through who shared her father's more playful and eccentric nature and often stuck to him like glue unless she was given a task to complete.
Both of them dutifully brought up the rear, there advanced sight and hearing useful to keep any of the monsters and shadow creatures that hid in the dark from sneaking upon them.
The entire group walked in a peaceful but sleepy sort of silence as they leisurely walked down the trail that led to those sweet sweet bedrolls they were craving.
Out of the corner of his eye he saw Astarion's eyes come back into focus again and glance up at him, a little bit of nervousness in his expression. R'yleh chose not to bring attention to it as he munched and walked, keeping his eyes scanning their surroundings just as much as his girls were.
After a couple of steps he saw Astarion slip around his back, discreet and quiet, and settle on his left side. His hand lifted up hesitantly a few times as if he wasn't sure what he was about to do would be well received. He patiently waited as he seemed to finally find whatever courage he was trying to gather and shyly rested his fingers on R'yleh's arm just above the part of his wrist that was still buried in the pocket of his coat.
He wasn't sure of what he was doing at first until the fingers started to slowly slide down. R'yleh smiled as he realized what he was doing, before removing his hand from his pocket and letting it hang at his side, his pale cream colored palm and black nailed fingers splayed open for easy access to the nervous vampire spawn.
Two steps later he felt his cool fingers lace through his own, the nerves that were plaguing his lover fading away as his hand wrapped around his.
Taking the time to swallow the morsel he had been consuming and wiping his mouth with his sleeve, he gently lifted up Astarion's hand and planted a soft kiss on his knuckles, earning him a soft and amused scoff from the smaller man.
Without missing a step he turned toward him and used his free hand to gentle hold his cheek, taking a few moments to gaze into his eyes and rub his thumb along his cheekbone before leaning down to give him a sweet and gentle kiss.
It only lasted a second or two since they were still walking but after he pulled away, he followed it up with one to his forehead before turning his eyes back to the road.
With a soft and contented sigh, Astarion snuggled into his side as he let go long enough to wrap his arm around his back before lacing their fingers back together again.
The peaceful silence fell back over the group again as R'yleh reveled in having the man that stole his heart smiling contentedly beneath his arm.
However, the soft moment only lasted a few minutes before the Paladin's deep raspy voice broke the calm.
A bit annoyed that his peace and quiet was disturbed for something that wasn't an immediate threat to their lives, he turned his ear slightly to hear what was so important.
His irritation began to turn into a cold rage as he realized she was not only disturbing his favorite chatty wizard from enjoying the book he so painstakingly stolen for him, but that she did it to straight up insult him and insinuate the man that could launch a fireball or turn a drider into a sheep was useless and worthless in her eyes.
And he could see that, despite the many times Astarion and Gale had butted heads in the past, that his rogue trickster wasn't to happy about her antics either.
So, with the silent communication style he had cultivated with the group exactly for days like today, he used his eyes to point in Karlach's direction before he silently let go of him and slowed his walking pace.
He waited until Gale made pace with him and silently asked him if he was okay with a tip of his head, seeing Gale's eyes dark and glazed as he clutched the book he had gotten to his chest like a child.
Gale glanced his way for only a second, but the anger and pain in his eyes was more than enough.
Without a word he nodded discreetly to the man before letting Gale out pace him.
Then, just as he got between him and Minthara, he snapped around and planted himself right in her path forcing her to stop in her tracks.
When she snapped her eyes up to look at him, he let his normally ever animated form go completely, unnaturally and unnervingly still. When he locked eyes with her, he let his face become cold, emotionless and alien in it's stillness, his eyes turning from deep ocean water, to darkest void as if his mother had replaced his eyes with pieces of the night sky. As he slowly tipped his head to the side, he used his hands to subtly open his coat just wide enough so she could see the four thick black tendrils that began sliding, twitching, and curling like an aboleth's tentacles out from his back.
Once he settled his unblinking gaze upon her, his towering form was no longer then eccentric chaos goblin warlock with more curiosity than sense she had met in the tower but the monstrous result of Bhaal crossing his bloodline with a Great Old One of who's essence he stole.
For several long breaths he stared her down, unflinching, unyielding, and unknowable. He watched her face go through several stages of emotion starting with annoyance and entitled anger that shifted slowly and subtly to surprise, confusion, and then barely concealed terror.
Once he could hear her heart begin to race and taster her fear upon the air he used his own telepathic form of communication to all but dominate her mind.
The voice that echoed into Minthara's was R'yleh voice, layered with the voices of everyone in their little band of inflicted, all talking at once in a cold and indifferent monotone like an Elder Brain of an Illithid colony.
"From now on, keep your degrading and insulting comments to yourself. If you do it again, we will roast your body on a spit and feed the left overs to my children."
As if on cue, Yuna and Luna appeared, growling low and threatening as they came around Minthara's sides, situating themselves so there was no escape.
"Are we understood?"
He watched as she opened her mouth to say something but was silenced when R'yleh smiled viciously, revealing newly formed teeth as sharp as a sharks.
"Are we understood, child of Loth?"
He saw her discreetly hide her shaking hands under her cloak before she begrudgingly nodded.
"Good. We trust there will be no further problems."
R'yleh then blinked, and as if it had never happened, was back to his ever animated, blue eyed, chaos goblin self.
After a groan and a stretch he started to turn on his heel to get back to his cozy cuddle walk session with Astarion when he heard her grumble in Undercommon under her breath in his direction.
"You better be careful what you eat from now on, Jaluk."
R'yleh could tell that she was under the belief that their little group wouldn't be able to understand her by the way she said it and he couldn't help but let out a short laugh.
She looked at him with that entitled annoyance again so he reached into his pocket and pulled out his special snacking bag. With a smirk he opened the bag wide enough that when he tipped the opening towards her, she would easily be able to see what was inside.
When she realized that what was in it was a mix of several highly poisonous and or deadly variants of mushrooms, berries and various not so poisonous edible plants, she let slip an expression that was part indignant anger and part fearful respect.
And then, just to put on a bit of a show, he plucked out a bit of the mushroom that was used to make drow poison specifically, popped into his mouth and ate it without so much as flinching.
Once he swallowed it with no ill effects he popped the bag back into his pocket, stuck his tongue out to blow a raspberry at her, and then walked back to Astarion, making a short stop to give Gale a quick hug as he passed him.
The rest of the walk back was just as peaceful and quiet as always.

The Wolf and the Spider. (My Tav's Parents Headcannon)
As i got into my 30's i grew tired of the two big tropes that happen a lot with adventuring heroes in stories: either they die or are toxic/abusive in some way or another.
So instead i have begun to give my Protags loving and supportive families that are often just as badass and mighty as the protag themselves.
So after hearing the song below:
I now head cannon my Tav's parent's relationship like Stoic and Valka's and the above is their song.
Rhu is a physically vast and very talkative Lythari elven druid with a heart just as big as his size and wisdom even greater. He is the Chieftain and pack Alpha of a caravan made up of people who have no where else to go, caring for and nurturing those under his care.
Andromeda is a small but just as mighty stoic drow woman who is an intense protector and a force of nature only calmed by Rhu's embrace and calm demeanor. She is often in charge of those that protect the caravan from the dangers of living a mobile life.
Rhu and Andromeda met while she was still living in Menzoberanzan as part of a noble house that all but ignored her in favor of her elder sisters. Luckily for her, she was a woman who valued her solitude and often took to the dangers of the Underdark than engage in the violent politics of the city. She quickly became an intensely skilled ranger that was "gifted" Rhu as an animal companion as a joke by one of her elder sisters.
Joke was on them when the large pale Dire wolf turned into a very ruggedly handsome and large Lythari elven man.
Rhu noticed immediately how different she was compared to her people, especially in the ways she treated him as an equal.
So when her eldest sister began a murderous campaign to take solo control of the house, he offered to teach her how to become a wolf like him so they could escape to the surface.
Surprised by the large man's kindness, despite how he had been treated by her people, she agreed and just as her sister's blades began to turn in her direction, the two of them escaped to the surface in the form of wolves making it near impossible for her sister to track them.
Over the years, Rhu's intentional nature, honesty, kindness and compassion drew her in, and the day she realized she craved his presence more than her solitude...
She knew she had fallen.
Their marriage occurred shortly after and she became with child not long after that.
The pregnancy was a complete surprise to her since she had been made to believe that a child hood illness had sterilized her but she was no less excited at the news.
However, as her belly began to grow, her mind couldn't help but wander back to her birthplace and the horrific treatment her birth father had endured that ultimately killed him.
She began to become anxious and fearful, terrified that if she had a son, he would suffer the same fate.
Luckily, Rhu understood and took the time to remind her where they were and how they lived. He showed her the other male children of his home caravan and how they lived and played without fear, just as equal in the eyes of his people as the woman and girls.
So when the time came she was ready.
That day was a day that nearly took both mother and if it wasn't for their chief healers skill and did end up rendering her unable to have any more but the moment they handed her son to her it ceased to matter.
Once she held her son for the first time, seeing his pale grey skin and the dark violet eyes her father once had, it hit her like a giant's club.
She had a son who would live free and safe, far away from the horrors that she watched her father endure.
And she broke down, crying tears of relief and joy.
The early years of motherhood were a struggle for her, the nurturing and caring nature her husband had in abundance wasn't something that came naturally to her.
But as Razzikel got older, she recognized her own solitary and autonomous nature in her son and began training him in the ways of rangers, something that bonded the two of them.
The day Razzikel reached adulthood, according to most short lived races, was a day of pride and celebration.
Their stoic son with the size and heart as big as his father and the might and protective nature of his mother, hugged them both before he took his first long journey from them, called by Mielikki herself to the hunt.
They watched as he disappeared into the tree's, waving one last time before the forest devoured his form in it's depths.
A few month's later he would return with stories and new supplies, staying with them as the caravan traveled until he was called again, over and over.
But eventually, despite their best effort, her sister would find her again. And send her on a 15 year search for her son, forcing her to leave Rhu behind until she finds him, singing her and Rhu's song to a young druid who had saved him and shared the same big heart that had made her fall in love with his father.
The apple not falling far form the tree.

"Look to the stars, young one, and see as they do."
The BG3 brain rot has joined with one of the movie's i loved when i was a kid and still subscribed to the christian newsletter.
I had already made a post about it here:
But, I couldn't get it out of my head so now i am writing out the first draft of a piece of a future chapter.
In this chapter, Halsin has traveled with Razzikel to reuinite with his people. A group of wandering nomads who have no home for reasons both tragic and agravating but joined together to form a community loving and diverse community jst as willing to share what little they have as they are to protect it from being taken from them.
When he gets there he see's this diverse community from every walk of life, race and creed. Seeing Razzikel's home he better understands where Razzikel's kind, compassionate and non judgemental nature came from.
Tears may have been shed at the overwhelming beauty of it.
However, as he looked over this incredible community that was vibrant and full of life, those old thoughts that his captors in the Underdark instilled in him begin creeping in.
And even though he tries his best to remember his friends kind words as they had traveled over, it isn't enough to keep him from staying on the outskirts of the lively and joy filled celebration.
However, the ever observant source of Razzikel's wisdom and compassion does not fail to notice his child's new friends hesitation and sad expression. So, with warmth in his eyes and a gentle smile in his voice he walks over to help him not miss out on the joy and love those present wish to give him, because of the dark voices others had put there to keep him from living.
Written blurb under the cut.
Halsin held his cup of warm spiced cider to his chest as his other arm wrapped around his middle. His sad Hazel eyes watched in longing the dancing form of his friend as he spun and leaped, laughed and sang, the normally stoic drow blooded ranger radiating joy and freedom that he envied.
He wanted to join them. He wanted to bask in thier joy and warmth, letting it wrap around him until he forgot the world around him.
But the voices in his head began to whisper all the ways he was unworthy. They whispered how he was an outsider, a stranger to everyone but Razzikel. They told him that he was no longer needed, now that Razzikel had returned to his people. He should leave they told him. You don't need to be here anymore, you are just using up resources that are already scarce. Your wasting thier time, thier space, their company.
"Cub, why do you hide here?" A deep and gentle burr interrupted his spiraling thoughts.
Halsin looked up to the 7ft, 1/2 furbolg elven man, his tanned skin and long red brown hair, framing green eyes the deep color of maple leaves. The bonfire gave his gaze a warmth that made everyone around him feel safe despite the mans immense size.
"I would have expected you to be out there with my son. But I find you here in the shadows looking like someone stole your favorite staff. Are you all right?"
"I..." Halsin wanted to try and come up with a lie but Razzikel hadn't been exagerating when he siad his father's gaze saw straight into you. Looking at him now suddenly reminded him of the father he had lost so long ago. He had a gaze that was so filled with warmth and understanding that it was difficult not to tell him what was wrong.
So instead he cast his eyes to his feet.
He heard the man sigh before he felt a large hand gently rest on his shoulder.
"Cub, what is it that troubles you? What is it that keeps you from doing what you very clearly want to do?" He then gently hooked a finger under his chin and tipped his head up. "Let me be the arms that carry your burdens when you can carry them no more."
Halsin couldn't help the tears that pooled and fell down his face, nor the sobs that began to wrack his frame.
"Oh Cub, come here."
The larger man pulled him forward and wrapped his large muscular arms around him. The embrace was all encompassing in the same way Razzikel's often were. AS much as his friend would joke about taking after his mother in appearance, it seemed he took after his father in almost everything else.
Halsin let himself melt into the fatherly embrace as Rhu's voice gently echoed in his head.
"Razzikel told me of what happened to you in the dark and how isolating it has been for you. My heart aches knowing that the man who rsiked life and limb to get my son home has no one to turn to." He then stepped back and rested his hand against Halsin's face, wiping away a tear with his thumb. "So, cub, let this old wolf ease your burden. It is the least i can do after what you have doen for my son."
Halsin's eyes drifted back over to Razzikel who was now spinngin around with a couple kids hanging on to his arms, laughing and smiling, his Amthyst eyes shining like jewels in the fire light.
"I don't deserve to be here. I am an outsider. Now that Razzikel is home, i am of no more use. If i am not useful I..."
Rhu leaned down and pressed his forehead against his forehead. "Those arn't your words."
"What?"
Rhu then reached down and pulled up the tunic he was wearing. a few inches above his hip bone was an old faded branding scar. He didn't know which house it was from but he knew the aesthetic design on a drow noble house.
Halsin's eyes widened, "You too?"
He nodded. "In the same way you brought my son home, Danny did the same for me. That's why i know those aren't your words. Those words are theirs. You are worthy and deserve so much more than to just 'be of use'."
He then turned him back towards the celbration, his hand sweeping out towards all of his people so full of joy and life.
"This celebration could have easily been a funeral if it wasn't for you." He then pointed at Razzikel who was back to dancing and leaping around the campfire, his mother now having joined his side. "My wife could have been lighting her son's funeral pyre, instead there they both are dancing around a bonfire." He watched as tears began to form as he watched his wife and child. "When we lost him, our world shattered. Razzikel had been a blessing form Selune herself. A child Danny didn't think she was even capable of having." His eyes then turned back to him, the tears now falling down his face. "You brought him back to us out of the kindness of your own heart. What little we have, Halsin, is yours. As of today, you are a member of Clan Moonclaw and will always be welcome amongst us."
Halsin started crying again, happy tears this time. "I...I don't know what to say."
"You don't have to say anything." He then saw Rhu look up and nod at someone. When Halsin followed his eyeline he saw Razzikel walking over, his chest heaving a bit out of breath. When Rhu saw him looking he smiled and said, "Instead, I want you to ignore those voices in your head that tell you you don't deserve to be here, and when my son offers his hand, you take it."
"I don't know how to dance." Halsin spoke but didn't stop Rhu from taking his cup out of his hand.
"You don't need to. Just let the music and energy flow through you, your body will do the rest."
When Razzikel reached them, his naked chest was glistening with the sweat and heat of the celabration, his thick pack alpha scent setting his veins on fire.
He held out his hand, the fire a blazing halo around him, making him seem as if he was the spirtual empobiment of the celbration itself.
"Dance with me?"
Halsin took a quick glance in Rhu's direction who tipped his head towards his son encourgingly.
"I would love too."

Through Selune's Eyes. (Of Bear Claws and Wolf fangs blurb)
I may not subscribe to the christian religion as much as i used to but this song still makes the brain go brrr. And now is the song that represents a future chapter in my Tav/Halsin fic.
I see this song as being the vibe and energy of the night Halsin returns Razzikel(Tav) to his people before the game. His return is celebrated by beautiful music and dancing around a large bonfire, food, drink, and company freely shared with all.
At first Halsin, though in awe of the immensely diverse and loving community of wandering nomads, the darkness that he has been through makes him question if he deserves to join in the celebration. So instead of joining in the joyous celebration full of life and love, he watches his normally stoic friend spinning, dancing, laughing, and singing, longing the entire time to join them.
Razzikel's father, upon seeing him sort of keeping to the shadows, approaches him and through the same kind and understanding nature Razzikel himself inherited gets Halsin to talk about what he has been through.
By the end, the Tribal leader gives him a new perspective on his life and the words that are sung I imagine are the words that he uses to show him how welcome and loved he is, encouraging him to join the celebration.
So when Razzikel swoops in and reaches out his hand in invitation, he takes it without hesitation and for the rest of the time he spends there he lets himself learn what it is like to have a community that supports you and to be surrounded by people that genuinely care.
It is a memory that later inspires him to build the commune post game, building a place for those with no where to go to have a home.
A place that Razzikel's people come too to help him build and ultimately settle there.

How to Accidentally Pull a Dragon.
An Original story idea that has been bouncing around in my head for a while after i noticed there aren't many romance stories where it's the woman who is the more "Dominent/pursur/knight in shining armor" of the relationship.
So, using an old pathfinder character as inspiration I came up with this.
6'5" muscle mommy monster hunter with a dark past but with the help of a loving and supportive family has healed form majority of her trauma meets 5'4" ex noble turned cleric/healer that escaped to another country with his younger sister, giving up their citizenship to his home country in order to avoid arranged marriages to the unmarried members of a very toxic and abuse noble house blackmailing his family.
Mutual Pining, Dragon Shifter FMC as part of an influential and long lived Supernatural The Adams style family, FMC is blatantly flirting while the MMC doesn't believe she would ever want him. Found Family helps Birth Family. Progressive Noble family stuck in a Conservative Kingdom. Woman in stereotypical male role. Man in stereotypical female role. Man who has a weakness for a woman who can crush his skull between her thighs. Woman who has a weakness for men who gets genuinely excited about something they love and go on a hyper fixated rant about it. "Royal Family" that only pretends to act like royalty/nobilty one specific event of the year so they often forget about it. WIP. World Lore Pending.
More in depth under the cut.
Male MC: Percy Lockheart formerly known as Percival Delacroix is the chief healer and occasional secretary of his biological mother's hunting guild. He and his sister are the product of a secret polyamourous relationship between his father and his "legal" mother who still live in Citrine, his patriarchal home kingdom to the south, and his bio mother a citizen of Andromeda, a country to the north "ruled" by three separate "Families" known as the Great Houses, one of which she was a part of.
At about the age of 15 his families "scandalous secret" had been uncovered by the *insert pretentious and vaguely threatening noble family name here* and used it to blackmail his family into agreeing to marry off Percy and his younger sister to the two older, abusive, manipulative, spoiled and as of yet unmarried members of the family due to the previous.
Upon finding out, Percy's bio mom offers to do the one thing that could at least keep Percy and his sister from being forced to marry these two very abusive and manipulative older nobles.
Taking them over the border with her and making them full citizens of Andromeda through being blood related to her.
His more progressive family, wanting to at least make sure his two youngest could be saved from horrifically abusive marraiges, agrees.
Even though Percy and his sister have a much better life than they would have had back there, he could never completely shake the guilt of leaving his family at the mercy of those who blackmailed them. A guilt that still stuck with him, making him into a man who has a hard time believing he deserves the good things that are happening to him.
Female MC: Valient Bloodstone "The Grey Warden" is a famous monster hunter that spends majority of her time on the road, hunting monsters either to save lives or for coin depending on the situation.
At the age of ten, in order to protect her younger and ailing sister after their mother was cut down in front of her, she allowed herself to be taken by one of her father's old enemies, a vampire lord and was used as a child gladiator.
At the age of 15, a group of monster hunters showed up to the vampire lord's lair, eradicating her abuser and freeing her. With no other idea's on how to live her life, she studied under the hunters who rescued her, taking something that was once a skill set only for killing innocents, to saving them instead.
She ended up making quite the name for herself, so much so that the family she had been taken from were able to track her down and reunite with her, giving her the love and support she needed to heal from her past.
Now, as her body begins to show signs of slowing and the damage she has been inflicted with beginning to catch up, she is on the verge of retiring, using the more simple and "safer" hunts to save up for the next chapter in her life.
A school for monster hunters and rangers like herself.
The day the two of them met was like any other day.
Valiant or V as most knew her had come in to the guild to turn in her most recent bounty. Riding in on her construct horse, she prepared for a much needed rest, having spent the last year helping her father deal with some trouble on the Citrine/ANdromeda border that ran along the deg of his lands.
Using the money her father had given her for the help and the money that she would soon get for her bounties, she planned on taking a good two weeks off for some self care and much needed repairs.
She had earned it.
Percy was working as the record keeper and bounty receiver in place of the regular one who was on maternity leave. Upon hearing the The Grey Warden themselves were there(A figure he looked up to in his youth) volunteers to meet with them personally to settle the bounties they brought in.
He goes down to meet them only to find out that V, whom most assumed was a man due to their size, build, and the flattening effect of most armor, was in fact a very muscular woman.
And Percy had a weakness for large muscular women who could throw him over their shoulders like a sack of potatoes.
So of course, he folded like a god damn arm chair.
V on the other hand, though often attracted to smaller men with soft gentle eyes like Percy had, wasn't drawn to Percy beyond a professional or platonic relationship until the day she got him talking about *Insert Hyper fixation here*.
For she had a deep and profound weakness for men who got genuinely excited about talking about something they loved that they went on whole rants about it.
She had always loved the way their eyes lit up and the wide happy smiles on their faces.
It was what made her mother fall for her father and she did not fall far from that tree.
Unfortunately, due to the immense survival's guilt and the low self esteem that it caused in Percy, all V's attempts at flirting, both subtle and blatant, fell on deaf ears despite how desperate he wanted to believe them.
It was something that V recognized in herself all to well before her family had found her. The recognition set her anger a blaze for whomever hurt him, and her heart to breaking for what he thought of himself, despite being a folk hero level healer in his own right.
Fortunately for V but Unfortunately for Percy, his obsessive "betrothed" was not familiar with the concept of "No." and shows up to try and threaten/blackmail/manipulate him into fulfilling his duty to his family by forcing him to announce their engagement at an upcoming gathering he would be attending due to his status as the first born son of the Matriarch of The House of Wyld.
V see's the first interaction between them as she returns from a hunt and afterwards gets the whole story from him.
As soon as she is able to resupply, she bee lines it back to her families land and tells them about what's going on. They make a plan to help him and his family make at the upcoming peace gathering, a festival/ball that happens once a year during Citrine's "Season", as an effort to keep the peace between the two countries.
Both him and his younger sister who married the soon to be patriarch of the The House of Arcanis, prepare for the ball, fearing for what their "betrothed's" families would do if they refused their request.
They feared sparking a war between the two countries, something they didn't put past them to do over this.
But they both knew how exactly that war would end.
The Dead fields on the far west Citrine/Andromeda border where the undead and tortured souls of soldiers still walked, was perfect proof of that.
Unbeknownst to Percy however, he had been traveling, flirting with and pining over the First Born child the house the Noble's did recognize.
The House of Night.
The House of Night was a prestigious house, even to those in Citrine, because it was home to nearly all of the most influential and powerful heroes/leaders of the country. The house also often operated as the the countries "face", equivalent to Citrine's royal family, that pretends to go along with the games the nobles of the Citrine play, often beating them at it.
At the ball, Percy and his sister are among the first to arrive, their new titles and names being announced to the ball room with many whispers and shocked gasps.
But when the House of Night shows up it is Percy's turn to gasp in shock as the announcer reports "The Grey Warden" as one of it's member's.
Shocked, confused, and afraid he leaves the ballroom to try and process what he just saw, only for V to find him in the midst of a panic attack.
A calm explanation followed by a passionate confession ends with Percy being picked up and slammed against a nearby wall as V practically devours him in the dimly lit hallway.
However, much to Percy's dismay, V breaks away from him as soon as it is announced that his betrothed and family have arrived.
After a little bit of help from V's father and sister to get them back presentable again, they explain to Percy "the plan".
The Plan being, V and Percy return to the Ball from the same and separate exits they used and keep separate until it is clear that his betrothed is going for him.
At that moment, V will walk over and ask him for a dance and while they are on the floor, the two Patriarchs of the family, her father and his husband, will make a subtle show of going over to Percy's family and speaking with them in a clear, we are negotiating some terms, type of conversation.
And since everyone in attendance knows how high up the social ladder her family is, just getting the families direct attention is enough to elevate Percy's family beyond where his betrothed's family could touch them.
After the ball, the two families have lunch where instead of negotiating something that was already going to happen at this point, (V malewifing percy up) also find a way for Percy's family to either act as ambassador's and thus have diplomatic immunity or straight up move to Citrine like Percy did, with V's family as their sponsors.
It is pretty much straight to the happy ending after that with an obligatory "You begged him to kiss you, He begged me to fuck him, we are not the same" style scene for a final confrontation with Percy's former "Betrothed."

Who fell First/Hardest? Razzikel(Tav)xHalsin
Razzikel fell first:
He was a man who thrived in solitude just like his mother. And like his mother he fell for Halsin the same way.
Slow and instinctive.
He only realised his feelings for the ,at the time, future Archdruid when he was called on a hunt that kept him away from the grove for 3 months.
It was when he was completly alone and all was quiet, a time when he was normally at hid most peaceful and relaxed, that his chest ached with lonliness.
And when he chased the feeling he found memories of Halsin's smile, his laugh, the weight of his body resting on his own when they took naps under there favorite tree, and a deep craving to return back to it all as soon as possible.
He remembered then what his mother had said when he had asked her how she knew:
"I knew i was in love with your father when my craving for his presence becam greater than my craving for solitude."
And in that moment he understood exactly what she meant.
Halsin fell the hardest, twice:
The first time was when they had travled to reuinite Razzikel with his family. They jad held a grand celebration, with food, mead, a large bonfire, music and dancing underneath the light of the full moon.
He had already held a great deal of respect and admiration for him, having seen him at work in his element as they traveled together.
Seeing one of Mielikki's chosen rangers at work was a sight to behold.
But nothing could have ever prepared him for seeing Razzikel dancing and celebrating, laughing and smiling amongst his people.
He had been hypnotised by the feats of athletics he had used with the faster music and felt his blood burn in his veins at the much more sensual and slow moves when the music changed to something more primal.
And when Razzikel had swooped in and pulled him out towards the fire to dance with him, he couldnt help but loose himself in those dark amathyst eyes.
However, his own self esteem kept him from acting on his feelings and after the Shadow Curse they were all but wiped away.
Until Razzikel came into the goblin camp, ripping and tearing like a hell hound from the depths of Avernus,to free him.
The moment he was pulled tight into those arms again, everything came back ten fold.

Razzikel(Tav) Headcanon: Yeah I'm *insert heroic/folk hero/chosen title here*. So?
I found a new thing in Act 1 playing with my Drow ranger/druid tav which inspired a new headcannon.
If you keep Kahga from being dumb as druid you get the title of Faith Warden.
And since i headcanon my ranger to be a chosen of mielikki as well as him having the folk hero background, i was inspired to have him be one of those characters that have a laundry list of titles that he either forgrts about(which since he is a 300+ year old elven man is easy to do)or is just like *shrug emoji*.
And the only one who isnt surprised by this is Halsin.

Stardew Valley Druid
My most recent Stardew Valley Farmer.
Name: Coal Hemlock
Age: 37
Gender: Cis Man
Sexuality: Pansexual
Height: 6'2"
Eyes :Hazel
Appearance: Native Americanish features, dark tan skin, long black hair down past his ribs, fairly muscular but with a not quite full dad bod level of squish. Usually found in a flannel, a plain black t-shirt or a t-shirt with either a band or nerdy reference on it, blue jeans, and well worn in black work boots.
Background: A neurodivergent man who grew up in a supportive family, twice divorced and is a single father of a 14 year old(Jack).
First Divorce was the product of two people realizing they have no romantic chemistry after being married for 3 years and ended thing amicably. Mom(Danny) gave custody to Coal due to her inherating the family buisness that forces her to often travel out of country. However, despite their romantic incompatibility they are kick ass parents and still best friends to this day.
Second divorce was the product of two people that had differeing religious beliefs, Coal being a druid, wife(Sara) being a follower of Yoba, who at first were very open minded and respectul.of the others religion and even shared each others practices until a move for a job and a whole knew church changed it all.
Coal clocked the church as a cult pretty quick and refused to go but allowed Jack because they honestly wanted to go.
After an incident at a church social that nearly made him beat a ten year old boy into thw geoynd for trying to rip off Jack's skirt, followed by Jack coming home from school crying because they were made to believe it was thier fault, he stopped letting his Sara take them.
And despite all attempts to make Sara see what she was getting into and multiple therapy attempts, it became clear that divorce was inevitable.
Right around then was when he ran across the deed to the farm and came up with the idea to divorce Sara and move out there.
A move that was doubly important when Jack comes out to him, not only as presenting as a fellow druid but as a nonbinary aroace person. Something he had no problem with for obvious reasons even if the aroace part had to be explained.
After running the idea by Jack whose response was "Fuck Yes! Get me out of this hell city!" he made plans and began saving money in a seperate account in order to make the move.
However, about a year before everything was ro kick off, he gets a call at work from Jack's favorite game shop, telling him his 13 year old kid is curled up in the corner crying becaaue they were outed at school and instead if calling him as the biological parent they called Sara. And the resulting freak out ended up with her locling up the house and putting a note on the door saying, "I am not letting a demon into my house. Your are no longer welcome." For Jack when she got out of school.
The resulting fight ended with Sara being kicked out(everything was in his name) and forced to go stay with her parents while Coal filed the divorce papers, sold the house, and got some financial and temprary housing help from Danny so they could move out to the farm as soon as possible.
Year 1: Coal and Jack dig into the earth, just go ham on building up the farm, connecting with the community, making friends, and just start really thriving despite the nasty divorce preceedings and the ex's attempts to get back at Coal.
Shane and Coal meet and trauma bond, forming pretty tight friendship that involves a lot of pining on both sides during this time.
Year 2: Divorce finalizes and despite Sara's best efforts is unsucessful in all her attempts to sabatoge Coal and Jacks life, mostly because Danny herself takes time off to put Sara in her place, showing her how what a true momma bear with too much money and a lot of time on thier hands can do.
Once the Divorce finalizes, Coal begins to more actively court Shane, Danny and Jack often wing manning for both.
By the end of the year, Jack has a second dad and a new little sister.

Of Bear Claws and Wolf Fangs
Of Bear Claws and Wolf fangs is a fanfic about My main Tav RazzikelxHalsin in a Lycanthrope AU that takes inspiration from popular head cannons in Halsin Truther spaces and lesser known DND lore.
I have the first chapter all but finished and this post is to help me keep the info straight because ADHD.
This fanfic takes a more twilightish spin on the werecreature lore where those born(Lycans) instead of turned (The Cursed Ones) have a base animal form(Bear, Wolf, Elk etc.) that they can turn into whenever they want and some of that base forms abilities bleed into their natural abilities regardless of which form they're in.
And for some more powerful variants such as those crafted by deities like Silvanus, Milikki, or Selune, they can take on a pseudo form that allows them to borrow other traits they normally only have access to in their primal form. A power best used only for emergencies because of the chance they may go feral if they loose concentration.
In this AU My Tav Razzikel (In game a body type 4, seladrine drow beast tamer ranger/circle of the moondruid) is a Wolf of Selune, a Lythari half drow who was born with the ability to shape shift into a Owl Bear sized Black Wolf that became one of Mielikki's chosen Rangers to take the place of his mother whom had retired.
Halsin in this AU is a Bear Lycan who, unkown to him, is favored by Silvanus due to his bond with Thaniel, Silvanus's son. (A popular headcannon in Halsin Truther spaces.) His status of favored is what allows him to eventually free Thaniel from the shadow cursed lands and bond with Razzikel's family in their younger years because of his connection with nature.
Halsin and Razzikel meet each other about 20ish years after he escapes the underdark, due to Thaniel calling for Halsins help to save another Lycan who is lost, afraid and stuck in a cave injured and sick with no memory of how he got there.
This meeting sparks a 150 year long friendship pregame filled with laughter, heartache, mutual pining, one steamy night before the Shadow Curse fell, and learning the hard lesson of not knowing what you had until you thought you had lost it.
Then, during the game, once Razzikel goes on a warpath to get him back from the goblins and the two men have a fairly emotional reunion, old sparks begin to fly and they can't deny any longer what they have always wanted.
And once the Shadow Curse is lifted, there is not hesitation and as soon as the opportunity arises they seize it, claiming each other as nature and a few meddlesome gods intended.

The Hannibal of Baldur's Gate
A head cannon for my Durge R'yleh:
R'yleh never like the more necrophiliac parts of being a Bhaalspawn. He never saw the point in it. He never saw the appeal of what his sister did with the corpses either, seeing them being a waste of time and energy.
Also a waste of perfectly good meat.
R'yleh's Bhaalspawn vice of choice was eating people.
And not in a, I tear apart their bodies like a rampaging animal type of way but, in the I carefully selecting each victim according to each dish and making lavish meals way.
And he was good at it.
Ironically enough, it became one of his favorite ways to gain influence within the city. Not just for the information it gave him, and the chance to rub elbows with the most influential in the city but, because of the Irony.
It was always a source of amusement for him, because metaphorically, in order for the Patriars of Baldurs Gate to keep their wealth and riches, they had to feed off the poverty of the city itself. Symbolically.
But, at his table, it was quite literal.
It became a hilarious private joke that he later shared with Gortash, who finding the same twisted amusement in it, never missed one of R'yleh's dinner parties.

Lost Son of Mystra Au
What if, in order to prevent Karsus's folly from happening again, Mystra created a failsafe?
What if that failsafe was to craft a daughter, built from her essence, that acted as a weave energy generator so that magic will never be lost again?
But, what if, in a similar manner to what Gale did, she asked for a way to prove she wasnt just some battery but could be useful in other ways on the material plane?
What if, unlike with Gale, she relented and used a piece of the karnite weave to make a regulator so her magic wouldnt go out of control with no way to purge the acess magic she would generate on the material plane?
What if that regulator, was the orb?
And What if, her task was to bring her young talented wizards to make her chosen?
What if during this task she foudn that there were many areas that didn't take a woman seriously or were downright dangerous for a woman alone and so she used her magic to disguise herself as a man?
What if, after she began traveling as a man, she found she never wanted to go back? And in his first act of rebellion, he made it so he would never have to again?
What if this was what began the rift between mother and child that would grow wider and wider as he see's what she does to the boys he brings to her?
What if, the last boy he brings her is Elminster, whom he trains to be able to resist her influence so he can keep from getting used up and destroyed like the others before him?
Of course, when she finds out, she gets angry and demands that her daughter to do as she is told.
And He tells her to go fuck herself.
So, she violently removes the orb form his body and casts him away as punishment, effectivly making him for all intents and purposes a energy generator with nowhere for the energy to go until it bursts out of him. In sometimes brutal and devastating ways. (Wild Magic Sorceror on steroids)
So, in retaliation and guilt, he conspires and to some extent suceeds in warning others about what happens to the young wizards his mother casts her eyes on. (Think mincs story from his homeland.)
And then, one day, while working in Waterdeep as a traveling enchanter, he meets a young boy who talks his ear off about magic and all the spells he has been able to cast and comauns that his parents wouldnt let him have a kitten as a familiar.
So, feeling the strong connectuon the kid has with the weave already, he teached him how to summon one, culminating in him meeting his new tressym the very next day.
Then, as he is talking to him and his new friend, he feels his mothers eyes fall on the boy and not a few days later see's Elminster arrive in the city and leave with the boy.
So, he follows them, in an attempt to keep the boy from his mother and gets into a heated fight with Elminster while they belive the boy is asleep in his tent.
However part way through the fight, he is forced to flee because he could feel the magic burst coming, having to get as far away as possible to keep from hurting them.
He ends up having a burst so bad it renders him unconcious in the Astral for several years.
But, what if, unbenownst to the two men, the boy hadn't been asleep at all and saw the whole thing, always wondering why the kind street enchanter that always listned to his stories was trying to keep him from what everyone seemed so happy about?
What if, even after the boy eventually became Gale the Wizard of Waterdeep, that that night still popped into his mind on occasion and made him wonder...whatever happened to that man and why was he so adamant about him not serving Mystra?
Then, what if, in a similar way to Mystra's lost son, Gale wanted to prove himself worthy of being her equal and learned of a piece of the weave sealed away?
And what if, only too late, he now understood why that man was trying had tried to keep him away from her?
After he is cast out however, Elminster, against Mystra's orders, told her son about what happened to the orb, causing him to seek out the human man who was now cursed with it.
Only, just before they would have met, the illithid ship shows up and they both get taken.
When they join together, only he recognizes the boy, now a very attractive man named Gale of Waterdeep, as the one he tried to save and knows exactly what his mother did to him. So to make up for it he does everyhting he can to help him with the orb now bound in his chest.
Luckily, despite the often deep seated rivalry that happens between wizards and sorcerors, the two get along very well making it all the easier to help him and for both men to start to fall for each other.
But, after the orb starts to show signs of the magic items no longer working, Mystra's son finds he isn't able to discharge the extra magic in his system like usual and finds himself on the verge of a very bad burst that wraps him in a violent shield of volitile magic that is about to explode.
As this happens the orb responds tapping into Gale on an instinctual level traching him exactly what he needs to do.
With knowledge in hand he charges forward, through the field, dropping to his knees in front of him, grabs his hand a presses it against the orb in his chest, then pulls him inti a tight embrace.
Immedietly the magic begins to be sucked in causing both men to cling to eachother for dear life.
Unfortunately though, the tadpole takes the oppurtunity to snitch on him and reveals who he is to Gale, much to his frustration.
The orb's hunger rapidly dissipates and for the first time in a long while, it feels completly sated. Where the pressure that seems to always be under Mystra's son's skin recedes completly, causing him to weep for several minutes.
Afterward They have a long talk and arrange a system to keep both of them stable.
But due to the often close quarters nature of it, there feelings for eachother only grow stronger and harder to ignore. Culmminating in a very spicy makeout session at the celebration party that gets interuppted by a pair of drunken tieflings.
However, later on when Elminster appears to tell Gale what Mystra wants from him, he also tells Mystra's son, in cryptic language and facial expressions, the reason she is taking drastic measures.
He also brings with him an amulet that will channel the extra weave energy back into the weavw itself so he doesnt ha e to worrt about having another bad burst again.
Now stable, both men take advantage of what time they have left, but come morning post nut clarity kicks in and he wakes up the entire camp shouting: "It's the fucking Crown!"
Now knowing what his mother is up to he spends the rest of the game loving the shit out of his wizard and planning to use the crown as leverage to free both of them from thier conditions.
A deal that culminates in him giving the crown back to his mother in exchange for the orb to be removed from Gale and placed back in him, but at the cost of him becoming completly mortal.
And so, the two men live out the rest of thier lives together, perishing side by side as the orb destructs far away from.any known civilization.
