The Bright Light Social Hour take One Small Step for Man and one GIANT LEAP for musical growth with their long awaited follow up to their Self-Titled 2010 release. The album Space is Still the Place (released on French-Kiss Records) lifts off from the raw, distorted, shot of pure testosterone that was their last record and places you squarely in orbit around a cosmic concotion of delay, reverb, synthesizers and a healthy portion of silvery guitar licks. Bass tones on this record are phenomenal, punchy and find their way into your being til you can’t help but dance along. Definitely one of my favorite albums purchased this year. Of course, you can find them on iTunes, Spotify, Apple Music and where ever else cool music is found.

One of my all time favorite songs from Philadelphia's own, Good Old War of their newest release, Live From the City of Brotherly Love. This band has consistently been making good Indie Folk for the past few years so naturally the Live album is going to sound amazing. Woody's Hand Boogie Woogie by Good Old War

New York's Hey Anna releases their music video for Dance Until Three. It's an incredibly fun song with an equally fun music video. These kids are in the running for Firefly Festival's Big Break Contest.

If you are unaware, Sufjan Stevens has had these sort of Christmas Cards he has released over the years. Including a few traditional as well as original Christmas songs, it's a delightful and modern interpretation of the way we hear Christmas. Christmas is fast approaching and every year it feels more and more like a "deadline" than a holiday. But its time to spread some cheer, of course the best way is by singing loud for all to hear. So heres a christmas song by Bright Eyes off his Christmas Album.
