i have made a color palette complete with annotations from my characters to use as a reference when drawing

the little doodles are done by rai, and the actual observations/tips were done by lugh….then they just talk to each other RAHH i love them sm

anyways i want to make more graphics like these they’re so fun

in addition to designing rai’s weapon i have written a journal entry from his perspective about it, complete with an image of the weapon and three stat blocks on a cute little interactive flip folder thing about them

yes i had the idea to make this journal spread before even making the weapon and yes i created the whole entire weapon before tackling this entry and yes i am very tired but this is incredibly worth it

so in the time i disappeared from this website i finalised a lot of worldbuilding elements, including my magic system and my guild system

all i need to do is talk about the rest of the noble families and the mage court, and then i’ll be done (ish) with that!!

i haven’t done any actual writing but i have finished refining my act one outline with my new worldbuilding elements so yay!!

i believe the next order of business is to finish my fucking alphabet, write the lore behind it, stick it in milanote, and then write my second chapter

i made and finished a map for my book in one day woohoo!! it’s nowhere near good by any means but it’s a reference for when i write! i also absolutely plan to commission someone to make a better, more refined version for my book :D

the first draft of chapter one is finally finished! i was able to complete it after work last night and then touched it up a little bit (aka made sure i actually finished all my sentences) before deciding to move on to chapter two 😼

i wrote 840 words yesterday which i am very proud of doing! i’m glad i actually got to sit down and work, yk? i’m hoping i can finish my first chapter sometime this week 🥰

Concept Art: The Darkfolk

in lytari, the darkfolk are a specific type of monster that have been infected with void magic (working title)

they stalk forests and well travelled paths at night in order to pick off unsuspecting travellers and rip out their souls and consume them for energy

the art was made by my friend, @olivethebee and is extremely creepy so TW for themes of horror and blood and etc

lytari is also more blue/purple than this but it is concept art so yk!!

after six months, four rewrites, and so many brainstorming sessions, i am finally ready to actually sit down and write my book

there's probably going to be three more rewrites in the works, but i need to focus on actually WRITING and not EDITING

Yes, I’ve finally gotten around to making a summary post about my book 🥰

It’s a gritty dark fantasy novel that blends the mystery of The Stormlignt Archive by Brandon Sanderson, and the brutal intrigue of The Broken Empire Trilogy by Mark Lawrence.

Without further ado, welcome to: Veiled Echoes

Thrust into the new, unfamiliar world of Lytari, two warriors—Rhaizan and Lugh—emerge with no memory of their pasts. Drawn together by fate, they wander a world plagued by corruption and suspended by fear of the ruthless tyrant, Lord Nocre. Whispers of an ancient prophecy speak of two souls chosen by the gods—but neither Rai nor Lugh know if they are the saviours of the realm, or something far worse.

Their search for answers lead them to the lost histories of the Drakari, a species hunted to extinction and erased from the history of Lytari. As they uncover long-buried secrets, all while honing their strange magic, they are pursued by enemies who would rather do everything in their power to see them fall before their true purpose is realised.

With visions of a world consumed by shadow and war closing in around them, Rai and Lugh must unravel the mystery of their origins, navigate the gods’ cryptic will, and decide if destiny is something to be followed—or broken.

just kidding about writing my book, i’ve decided to start designing my character’s godmarks, the symbols that mark them as chosen by the gods and ones of prophecy

this is going to be a concept sketch so the person i will eventually commission to make the actual art of this can have a good reference for what i want

also i promise to actually make an information post about my book eventually!! i just need to think of a summary that isnt major spoilers haha
