Sponsored posts on Security-Sleuth.com
I’m opening up the blog to sponsored posts so instead of contacting me via email you can contact me via the sponsored posts tab.
With all the ventures in flight at the moment its hard to post long and in depth posts so if you have some good ones I’d be more than happy to publish them on the site.

I started my own Social Network
6 months ago I started my own social network / social media company. So far it’s going great and I’m extremely proud of how far it’s come. Heres the reasons why I did it and why you should too!
One: Social Media wont help grow your business unless its directly mainstream
Any kind of serious business topic is hard to get off the ground on other social networks unless its the flavour of the month e.g. Crypto, Dropshipping, Affiliate marketing etc, etc. So unless your business idea is related to numerous business insider articles in the last 24 months good luck launching it and helping it thrive on any existing social network like Facebook or LinkedIn
Two: Social media is only good for Ads
The only ways I was able to grow any business ventures on Social media is via Ads. Ads on Fb and other networks are great in-fact they remain one of the best ways to grow app’s, online businesses etc. Other than that regular products and postings / engagement and all those metrics don’t really help put money in your bank account while you sleep unless you are an influencer and I am not interested in being an influencer.
Three: Social media companies have abandoned their core missions
All of the social media companies are engaging in weird behaviour and side missions instead of focusing on their core product or mission. Some have achieved their mission and now are floundering because they haven’t been able to establish a new equivalent or bigger goal or wind back operations now that the goal has been achieved. The result is that the services are degrading for the average users like you and me and the value we get from these networks is now decreasing.
Four: Freedom
Any person worth their salt will tell you that freedom is best. By building your own network it makes you free enough to pick your path forward and work towards your goal on your own terms in your own way.
Five: Founders and Users with Skin in the game
Doing all of this took serious skin in the game on my part and big sacrifices. Users who join also are committed to this community and topic so far it seems that this is a winning combination to ensure that the Social media community starts strong and provided legitimate value to its users and subscribers. That sounds pretty good to me.
You can find more about my social media community and other apps/products at: https://kraljevic.technology/
Until Next time,
The Security Sleuth.

The problem with contact tracing apps
amzn_assoc_ad_type = "banner"; amzn_assoc_marketplace = "amazon"; amzn_assoc_region = "US"; amzn_assoc_placement = "assoc_banner_placement_default"; amzn_assoc_campaigns = "amzn_vicc_cloudcam_1017"; amzn_assoc_banner_type = "category"; amzn_assoc_isresponsive = "true"; amzn_assoc_banner_id = "1J0CHGJT75D586M66602"; amzn_assoc_tracking_id = "kraljevicn1-20"; amzn_assoc_linkid = "c122cc4768b349b4aab7d3099b74ea1c";
In the last 9 weeks a dozen or so people have asked me “should I download the contact tracing app of [insert country / government]” my answer is no but not for the reasons you might think.
Reason 1: Do you base all of your decisions based of what an app says?
I don’t base all my decisions of what an app says. This is sometimes challenging but it seems to workout ok in the end. If i paraphrase and adapt something I read in the book “Hooked” by Nir Eyal: Remember notifications on your phone are alarm clocks somebody else sets for you. Set your own alarm clocks and you will be closer to freedom.
Reason 2: Focusing on the data rather than the solutions
One of the biggest problems of technology and particularly data is that we often cripple ourselves by insisting we gather troves of data before making a decision. This problem now faces most jobs and governments, in the past people acted more on gut instinct and sure they were wrong but they were quick to act. Now we focus so more on data e.g. the eye colour of the person across the street but we miss the bus that hits us.
Quarantine, border control etc all these things are well known and work id rather we used some tried and tested methods to stop people from getting sick rather than telling people we need them to download an app to decide when its a good time to open everything again.
Reason 3: Slippery slope to normal monitoring of everybody
You may have seen all the folks online claiming we shouldn’t have a contact tracing app for non sick people but criminals and other types of people who are easy targets for monitoring. It’s a trap don’t fall for it. As soon as all the undesirables are monitored there will be another good reason to monitor the next class of people before long they will be monitoring you.
Disagree with me? Tell me why in the comments.
Until next time,
The Security Sleuth
