As a centuries-old vampire, you thought you'd grown detached from humanity, not caring about its ultimate fate. That is, until you learned that you had a single living descendant, a child whose parents had just died. Turns out you do care.

"Who are you playing?" A tall man asked Andy as she played pool.
"Myself," she grinned.
"Are you winning?"
"Always!" she assured
"Aren't you also losing, though?" He asked with a touch of arrogance she didn't like.
"Not when you're around, sweetheart," she smiled, gesturing at the table. "You game?"
"You won't beat me," he scoffed.
"$100 says I do," she dared, pulling the bill from her bra. "You game?"

You have been imprisoned for so long that you have completely lost track of time. You are not even sure whether those who imprisoned you are still alive. When finally someone came to check on you they were surprised to find you, claiming that the dungeon has been unused for centuries.

"And so I was cursed with immortality. Cursed to walk the earth for eternity, never aging past twenty five and never dying." "How old are you, then?" "…Seventy. It was quite recent actually."

You're the healer of the group. The rest of the party has always treated you like you're made of glass. You were content to stay out of their way and let them do their thing. Until they all got downed leaving you the only one standing. That's when you show them how deadly healing magic can be.

"It's more of a curse, really. My best friend was dying and this is what I got for saving him. Now, we're both stopped in time, neither alive nor dead. Only he can end the stasis, but it's been a thousand year and he still refuses to kill me."
"So, what immortality do you have?" "What?" "Well everybody in this room has a type of immortality, I got hyper regeneration, the guy over the is a lich, the girl in leather can save and reload, and I am not bothered enough to keep talking so what is your immortality?"

You're a deity who finds himself in a random world. Bored, you create life. After a bunch of stuff, you've joined the hero party as a tagalong with your true identity hidden. The party knows you as the dude who mumbles blasphemous yet somehow true gossip about past heroes in his sleep.

A noble sentenced to die is allowed to choose their execution method. They ask to die in honourable combat against the king's knights, armed with a wooden sword while the knights have real weapons. It's been 24 hours since the execution started and the king is running out of knights.

Leaving this for later use; Lunasea, Echoria Universe. How it's been implied Owen and his siblings watched over their lineage for generations.
Might write about it
it's always "immortals always lose the ones they love!" and never "this family has had this incredible, powerful, loving figure present through generations of their lineage, all because they are descended from someone the immortal loved long ago" and i think that's a shame!!

With a deep sigh, Kira switched out of her note app. Though the ideas were swirling relentlessly in their mind, the words wouldn't get through their fingertips.
Self doubt plagued her mind. What if she's not good enough? What if they're not smart enough to write their story, even though no one else could possibly write it? What if nothing makes sense and it's all pointless? What if, what if, what if what if and no writing gets done.
Every day sinks into deeper despair as she's trapped in the motions of a life they desperately wish to escape. All those ideas are growing and plaguing every waking moments, trapped at the edge of their fingertips.
Struggling to remember details at work, struggling to remember any plans after work, struggling quietly with a world trapped in her mind, tearing at her chest for attention.
Kira can feel herself fading; barely pushing through the motions, exhaustion slowly but steadily shredding whatever is left of their heart, their soul, maybe even their very life.
All she wants is to write this story so they can breathe again. So the ideas might get onto the page and out of her mind.
Instead, the words build up, drowning out everything else. Maybe I should just give up writing all together. Maybe this story will only ever live in my mind, slowly poisoning my life until I grow smart enough to do it justice.

"What are those?" Ari asked, their voice quiet with emotion.
"What are what?" Nick questioned, searching for Ari's eyes.
"All those bright lights... what are they?" Nick stared for a moment, trying to understand what Ari was talking about. Following their line of sight, Nick frowned.
"You mean you never saw stars before?" Awestruck, Ari shook their head.
"Stars," they repeated. "They're beautiful. Where were they earlier?" Nick turned back to his new friend, wondering if they were being serious. However, Ari was staring at the sky still, their dark eyes shining with wonder and unshed tears. What had their life been like before?
"They only shine at night," he told her. "My old man once told me they are faraway suns, so we can only see them when our own sun sets."
"Beautiful," they whispered again. Nick reached for their hand, squeezing it gently.
"Beautiful, indeed," he agreed.

Andy felt the rope digging into her wrists and ankles as she came to her senses.
"Ooh, kinky~" she appreciated
"Shut up," another voice cut in. She snorted a laugh in response, twisting in her bonds to look at her captor. They were hidden under a large hood, a scarf covering their jaw.
"Well well, what do we have here?" Andy asked.
"I said, shut up," they repeated.
"You'll have to gag me, but fair warning; I'll enjoy that."
"Freak," they muttered.
"Hey, no kink shaming here, Pineapple," she scoffed.
"Pineapple?" The word slipped from them in confusion and Andy smiled widely.
"That's my safe word. Feel like we might need it," she added as they groaned.
