So I was playing around with some different color pallets and wound up making this sort of flame rat creature. Their long thin back legs are perfect for leaping to high places to light the candles of their master's chandelier and their light bodies are built for speed. They also have a keen sense of smell which attracts them towards any dying fire source...

Ever wonder how every candle, every torch or a random fireplace stays lit in a seemingly abandoned place? Or perhaps they all suddenly flicker back to life without a soul in sight? Well, it might just be one of these strange creatures scurrying around who obsess over keeping them all burning bright whether people are still around or not. Just don't make the mistake of attacking them or dumping water over their tails, because when angered they're known to swarm their enemies in great numbers. Otherwise these are pretty peaceful creatures, helpful even in some cases if you give them a snack instead and befriend one.

This isn't perfect but I wanted to experiment with a sort of memory collage of different drawings. What do you think, is it alright even though I couldn't fit a picture into every section?

Thanks to everyone who voted, it helps a lot when I can't settle on what idea to use! Honestly I was probably overthinking the whole thing so expanding on the existing Vlad Co's business operations would simplify things for me. Plus his company is well known meaning it's possible Vlad may have already have met a few people who are a part of the Council and just didn't realize they were until now. Using my Principal Vlad AU was a close second but now that I've stopped to think about its probably better to save that for another time since all it would really do is add more commitments for Vlad to keep on top of being a new dad trying to protect his soon-to-be-adopted son from being taken advantage of by an ancient cult who also happen to be directly responsible for the murder of Owen's previous life 400 years ago...

I'm still planning to redraw this again from scratch to add in a few more details (things like adding the rest of the spectral tail like I did for this) but for now straightening out the original outline and such already helps a lot. I wanted to make sure I picked a good ghostly glow color too since I couldn't add that before in colored pencil. Kinda just figuring things out for later honestly. Oh and btw I did manage to track down some of my art so I might start redrawing/updating some of my older artwork too or use them for inspiration for something new.

Wow, it sure feels great making digital artwork again! I was trying to decide what to make first when I remembered the recent Wulf concept sketches I drew so here you go! An AU version of him with a few minor changes that still sticks to the canon version fairly closely. I'm just not a fan of his retractable claws since that feels like more of a cat thing, not wolves.

We're Back In Business! (Sorta)

Great news! I am now the proud owner of a working laptop once more! And even better, I have access to my documents again which means I can finally resume working on some of my other fanfics again! Namely "Vestige" and "Final Epitaph."

We did run into a bit of a problem with my pictures/artwork but hopefully I'll get those all back soon too. The file upload to the new hard drive was probably interrupted somehow and my dad didn't realize they never resumed loading in since there are so many. In the meantime I do have a couple of drawings on my flash drives from the borrowed laptop before the screen stopped working though. It's not ideal but I'll take what I can get! Plus I reinstalled my art programs too which seem to be working just fine, I just don't have any of my ongoing projects from before on here yet. I'm just grateful we were able to recover so much already...

Anyways, I wanted to make it official now that my laptop is officially back home with me. So I'm going to enjoy doing some of the stuff I've really been missing out on since I haven't been able to do them for months. At least, not the way I'm used to. And boy is it a relief I can go back to a somewhat normal routine again. Well, that and I might be able to open up commissions like I originally planned to before all this happened.

A part of me always wondered why Wulf only had one shackle on his left arm so giving him a matching set seemed like an easy design choice. I couldn't bring myself to cover up those muscles too much either so I opted for splitting his hoodie apart instead. Now its just a matter of deciding on the coloring along with fine tuning some details since this is actually just a recreation on tracing paper. I didn't want to erase the other poses in the concept sketch because for one thing it would leave too many smudges and for another this made it easier to fill in the lower half of his body beforehand.

All that's left is drawing him a third time and finalizing everything. On a side note, my laptop should arrive in the mail today or tomorrow too but its going to take me a while to set things back up the way I like them so it will take time before I resume making digital art again. Depending on how things go I might skip redrawing this by hand and make it my first digital drawing in what feels like forever.

This one took a bit longer to finish since I kept getting interrupted whenever I tried working on it but good news, my laptop is finally on its way which will make chapter updates a lot easier again!

Been ages since I drew a werewolf but these don't look too bad. They're just quick sketches to give me an idea for the pose I'd like to use. Don't worry I'll add a tattered shirt too in the final design. Still hoping my laptop will be ready this week so I can make digital art again though so its a good thing I can scan my drawings and doodles otherwise. I think I like the version at the very top best.

The results are in and I guess nothing beats the classic werewolf on two legs! But I also agree with @aikoiya that having them run on all fours is cool too and we already see Wulf do that in the show. Anyways thanks for the feedback and I have a few ideas for how I'd like to tackle this redesign. All I know is I'm going to try and make a little more sense out of the outfit Wulf wears character-wise because the hoodie really doesn't explain much about him since all we really know is he's a prisoner (or he was at least trapped somewhere for a long time before Walker got his hands on him) and speaks Esperanto, which from what I remember is mainly spoken by people who are bilingual so it's not typically their native language.

Then again, I'm toying with a new idea for when I eventually start rewriting my fanfic "Feral" where him suddenly being able to speak it is actually only a side effect of Wulf dying while in a coma. Because they say sometimes people wake up from a coma able to speak a random language fluently so maybe he forgot what language he originally used to speak along with the rest of his human life. Basically I still want to explore the part of being a werewolf that means Wulf was once human too.

Unfortunately there were some last minute issues with my keyboard that need fixing too but hopefully my dad will be able to get them all sorted out THIS week or the next. Might be for the best anyway since the weather here has been pretty bad the past few days so mail delivery might get delayed anyway. Guess its Vortex's turn to mess with me huh? Either way looks like the wait continues.

Great news guys! My laptop has finally been fixed and my dad is sending it back to me this week! I'll have to reinstall a bunch of stuff though of course but he managed to salvage a lot of my data and replaced my hard drive which was part of the problem plus a nasty virus. *Gives Technus a death glare* Anyway he installed an antivirus program for me too so hopefully this wont happen again since its still a good machine according to him. So yeah, I'm excited about things going back to normal so I can resume updating my fanfics normally instead of this round about way and most importantly making digital art again!!!

Just fyi, the fanfiction.net version has more chapters but I've been slowly editing each one and waiting to upload them to AO3. Pretty much the rest of my fanfics on are up to date on both sites as far as I know.
