Quitting your job is not the end of the world. On the contrary, it's the BEGINNING of it! Follow me (the white rabbit) in my experiment. I've just quit my corporate job without a plan to find out LIFE'S PLAN! It's one small hop in reality, but one GIANT leap of faith. What problems will arise? How will I handle it?

What would our world be like without art and inspiration? Are you creative? I think we all have it in us to be, but the corporate world hinders creative passions.

Now that I’ve quit my job, traveling is in the cards. This is one of the few ideas we had. My spouse and I want to travel with our kids as much as we can. Life is too short. We want to make the best of our limited time on this Earth.

My 1st Assignment:
Handing in my resignation
I’ve always been a researcher by nature. I enjoyed discovering new things and uncovering truths. It makes me feel accomplished to learn or discover something new. I love scientific experiments. What I have never been, is a risk taker. Never. I’ve always played by the rules, too afraid to break the guidelines set forth by society, employers, peers, parents, and other people. That’s just the way I was raised. I cared too much about how others viewed me and I used to have the hardest time making the smallest decisions for fear that I’d make the wrong one and regret it…FOREVER. I have been called a worrywort because I always worry about the stupidest things. I always fear the worst case scenario. I’ve never even quit a job (especially not with the pressures of being the breadwinner of a family of four). I have a theory that if you have faith in yourself and you stop at nothing to you get what you want, you will learn to swim if you’re thrown in with the sharks. And that’s why I decided to conduct a little social experiment. That’s why I decided to quit my job. This experiment would be the ultimate test of perseverance and survival. *Disclaimer: Don’t do this if you truly love what you do and you’re happy.* I don’t, and I’m not! I’ve hit a wall in my dead-end “career” at this company. I was happy for almost 7 years. I think I had a good run. There are so many other things I want to do, and I just can’t see myself retiring here. So, it’s time for me to sh*t or get off the pot, as they say! Time for me to see what I’m made of! I am on a mission to find out what happens after you jump head first into the deep, dark depths of the unknown. I’m not a spontaneous person. I’m not even sure I’m going to be good at blogging. I’ve always wanted to try it, but have been too afraid to even try it for fear of rejection or ridicule. But that’s what makes this the PERFECT experiment and I’m the perfect test subject! What have I got to lose? We must not fear the unknown or prevent ourselves from following our hearts just to protect ourselves from the uncomfortable situations we try to avoid! Each of us must pave the way for others behind us and help each other along in this adventure called “life”! Occasionally, we must make a bold move and bravely take a leap of faith. (Sometimes it’s more like a GIANT free fall out of a plane.)
Follow me, the white rabbit and we will see how far the rabbit hole goes! Follow me out of the Matrix! You can be there as I navigate through the rough waters of unemployment with the uncertainty of knowing where my next paycheck will come from. I’ll describe my every emotion, thought, idea, and task of each day. Maybe you’ll find out that it’s not so bad and definitely not as scary as you thought. And if you see it works out okay for me, maybe you’ll finally break free from the shackles of fear and unhappiness yourself. Maybe you’ll join me in the revolution and find yourself…UNrecruited!
