Apparently chaomatrix. org isn’t a well known resource so anyone into chaos magick head to the website. Has pretty much anything you want to learn about chaos magick. Like it goes deep into the topic of chaos magick.

Daily tarot reading for tomorrow (Feb 13th)
And if this reading doesn’t automatically connect I recommend just looking into deities attached to the cards. It’s always fun to learn :)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Eight of Wands: Atalanta & Four of Cups: Styx
The tarot deck I’m using is the Mythos Tarot that features Greek deities. Though a note for today Atalanta isn’t a Greek goddess but rather a hero in the myths.
Okay so here we go!
You might be racing towards a goal all excited but hold on you may experience some internal stress.
Now I was curious on how to fix that and decided to draw another card and got…
Tumblr media
Page of Swords: Erebus
This card says to not be afraid of that internal stress and look for the source. Be open to discovery and connection to others. This will lead you to further bonds with people.

As a white immigrant in Canada. It’s a very similar situation here. I mean I have direct ties to my home country so I have that element but connections to the land we currently live on is also super important.
For those seeking connections to the land of where they are. More so those who live in cities I strongly recommend Urban Magick by Diana Rajchel. She goes over connecting to city spirits and the energies of cities. And I’m sure the things mentioned in the book would work in smaller cities. Though ngl I have yet to finish the book but so far amazing.
Connecting with the Land ~ Australia
Most of the folklore about witches and the practice of witchcraft originates from Europe.
The idea of 'witchcraft' wasn't a thing here in Australia until Europeans brought it with them. However, Indigenous Australians (as far as my research and interviews with elders have gone) follow what Western society would describe as 'animist beliefs' and 'magic rituals' were common practices.
Modern perceptions of animism, particularly in the Western World, are quite negative and viewed as "something hippies believe in." This perception is primarily caused by ingrained racist ideologies stemming from a colonial past (i.e., in order to justify subjugating people, you have to believe you're better than them) which perpetuated beliefs in colonised countries of the "primitive savage" and the "enlightened colonist." That's also not even mentioning the demonising of indigenous beliefs by missionaries of Christianity...
I find it ironic that in Eastern countries like Japan, where Christianity was not historically allowed to spread (banned in 1580s and hundreds of Christians were cruicified), animist beliefs like Shinto are now seen (in the Western world) as cool and mystical, and all the tourists want to visit the shrines of local spirits when they visit...
I'm getting off track, but hopefully you see my point: it is really hard to connect with a land on a spiritual level that is not yours, and was stolen from its traditional custodians on both a physical and spiritual level. I was born here in Australia, and so were my parents, but my ancestry is Scottish and British. I feel torn between two worlds that are so dichotomous from one another...
So, how do I connect with the spirits of the land?
Slowly, and with permission and guidance from local elders because there is a disconnect. I don't speak the language of the land and The Dreaming or 'spirit world' that accompanies our physical one. It doesn't help that much of the local language of the Gubbi Gubbi was lost due to the Stolen Generations, but there are general rules of thumb to follow when working with the Land:
We are a part of the land, and the land is a part of us. We are born from it, and so like our mother, we must care for and protect it. If you take care of the land, the land will take care of you.
Everything is about balance - never take more than you need and always give back what you can to ensure that the land is cared for for the next generation.
Ask first. Everything has a spirit, and you must ask before you take anything (I.e. like a branch from a tree). Thank the spirit for its gift / sacrifice (especially important if you have killed something).
Our ancestors watch over us our whole lives both from The Dreaming and in the physical world in the form of a totem (normally a whole family is represented by one animal). They are our guide, and your family must never hunt/eat your family's totem animal. It is your job to protect that species.
Many of the local landmasses and animals are represented by powerful ancestor spirits or creator spirits. Mooroo-kutchi (meaning red-bill, the name of the spirit of the black swan and an aboriginal girl from The Dreaming who transformed into a black swan searching for the spirit of her beloved Coolum who was killed by Ninderry.)
Smoking ceremonies are usually conducted as part of a 'Welcome to Country'. Each mob has their own traditional plant they use for cleansing the area of bad spirits and promoting healing and protection of visitors, but most use a species of eucalyptus or gum. The ceremony invites you onto the physical land as a guest and asks the ancestor spirits of that mob to watch over and protect you while you're there.
Corroboree (storytelling gathering) ~ knowledge of the land and its spirits are told through song lines and dances, and using the traditional language helps to connect better with these spirits.
Thank you to the local Aunties and Uncles for teaching me these and so much more over the years!
*'Uncle' or 'Aunty' does not mean we're related. Here, it is used as a sign of respect that recognises the age, wisdom, and knowledge of aboriginal elders. Though it's recommended that non-Aboriginal people ask the elder how they would like to be referred to as normally, it's not considered appropriate to refer to them as such unless a strong relationship has been established.

It’s so messed up that a weirdly large amount of spiritual people really believe medication messes up your like “frequently” or whatever.
I remember I used to listen to a certain spiritual podcast that once Covid started and then vaccines for it came out. Just went downhill so rapidly. Like at first I could ignore the anti vaccine talk cause it was minor but it just grew. More time was spent on the topic of vaccines having microchips and I was okay no. And just stopped listening. I tired listening again earlier this year and fuck no.
But yeah I think Covid messed up a lot of people’s spirituality. I started my spiritual path like a few months before Covid started so I don’t really know much about the community pre-Covid.
just wanna put this out there. taking your meds doesn't make you any less witchy or spiritual. you can still worship and speak to the gods of your choosing if you're taking medicine to make your health better (mental or physical). in fact they're probably happy you are taking care of yourself.

It always weirds me out when people act like they pissed off a deity and the deity is mad at them and punishing them. Like they probably just have better things to do than deal with some disrespectful af person.
Demons are not your servants.
Deities are not your masters.
Spirits aren't all your friends.
They are multi faceted. You in turn need to be flexible.

I absolutely hate the myth. Especially when people legit think millions of witches were burned.
Think about the pollution that would have happened from the fires 😔
Friends don’t let other friends believe the “Burning Times” myth.

And to the men who call themselves warlocks instead of witches.
Men sometimes during the witch trials were trialed as werewolves. So actually you should called yourselves werewolves.
Source? My grade 8 history project
“Witch” is and will continue to be a gender neutral term.

Anyone else have that friend when you bring a tarot deck to the event. Just proceeds to just read from the book directly no matter how long the section is.
Bro is lacking the intuition
Also same person thought a lenormand deck I gave them was a tarot deck.

I figured out why I’ve never been super duper into the classic Rider–Waite Tarot.
Basically comes down to it’s very intuition based. Like yes symbols are important but like for a proper reading your intuition needs to be right on point.
I just like having an extra element with my tarot decks. Though some decks I do find lean too much towards a certain theme and that turns me away.
My main tarot decks I’ve been using are a Greek god deck, a Goetia deck, and not a tarot deck but a kipper oracle deck.
Though of course don’t get me wrong I love me some classic symbols in tarot decks. That’s why I was using the Light Seer Tarot deck for the longest time. It’s a Rider–Waite based deck but has its own art and style

As someone who has gotten direct messages you may not want them lol. Direct messages can be scary and overwhelming.
I mean like my personal experience is rather odd. I went from complete agnostic that didn’t care to a tarot reader that does care about things.
Friendly reminder
Not everyone can "see" "talk" or "hear" their deities or spirit guides and that is okay. Not everyone can, but they can communicate in many other different ways and it doesn't make your practice, devotion or worship any less worthy.

Also special shout out to Hermaphroditus
do u have any thoughts on correspondences for transitioning? i'm trying to plan a spell for my transition journey since i just made an appointment for T, but i've been struggling with the ingredients. <3
I have many thoughts as I am a trans man who used magic for his transition and continues to do so!
This is based on popular correspondences as well as my own so it won't work for everyone but you've asked me for suggestions and I'm giving 'em! :>
Correspondences:
Elements - Fire & Air are seen often as "masculine" signs. Both also correspond with change and renewal. You could use a candle, a feather, or burn the ingredients to ash, grind them up into a fine powder, and disperse them safely into the wind. Water is associated with the moon, who is associated with transitions.
Rocks - Tiger's eye (confidence), Iron (linked to Mars, the MANLY PLANET--no but seriously, Mars is, in a lot of western culture, seen as THE masculine planet) Moonstone (associated with the moon and change) and Labradorite (associated with change)
Planetary - Mars, the Sun, Jupiter, Saturn are considered traditionally masculine. The moon, however, is known to be linked for transitions.
Herbs - The ones I would personally use are cinnamon, oak, yucca, and clove but I found this compilation of masculine herbs from Cunningham's Encyclopedia.
Tarot - Death is one of the most common "transition" cards, as it signifies an end but promises a new beginning. The king of wands is, in my opinion, the "dad" of tarot cards, and embodies a well rounded man. This could be replaced with any king or the emperor, depending on preference. The Wheel of Fortune is also a transition card, I would use it for a smooth transition.
ALSO, I hesitate to add deities to this list due to the fact that I don't want to them to be considered "ingredients", but perhaps their energy would help you or you could petition them:
Artemis - Associated with life phase transitions.
Aphrodite - Associated with transitions and has a form in some mythology with genderqueer representation.
Brigid - Associated with transition due to her relation to the transition of winter to spring.
The Morrigan - Associated with immense change and transformation, also well known to be a shape shifter which could help glamour spells.
Dionysus - Associated with gender fuckery (I feel this, at least).
Odin - Associated with transformation as he has gone through a lot, and many of his own accord, much like us trans folks who seek our transition of our own accord :>
Janus - Associated with new beginnings and transitions.
To further help, my buddy @jasper-pagan-witch sent me some links to spells and such that might help you out:
Masculine Vibes Charm Bag
Transgender Witchery (there is a transmasc section)
Jasper's Queer Tags (some trans posts scattered about)
There are lots of others out there, depending on who you ask, but this is what came to mind for me!

Next time you see a transwoman tell her “damn girl Aphrodite blessed you for sure”
The transman equivalent is “damn boiiii Dionysus must have stuck gold when he made you”
The nonbinary equivalent is “Ayo did you come straight out of the abyss of Chaos the primordial entity??”

Any other Sun and Mercury Virgos out there that can’t communicate well? I feel like with both Sun and Mercury being Virgo placements means I should be able to express myself and just communicate well.
But nooo. I’m stuck in a weird spot. While yes I can express myself at least better over written forms. But in person I’m just the quietest person in the room. My three Sagittarius and two Leos placements are screaming for me to express myself better.
