I'm a kind and anxious woman, always ready to talk about anything regarding paganism and spirituality in general. Tarot is my bread and butter, but I practice other divination too!!

I love the beach, I even consider myself a Hippie Earth Practioner and Sea Witch! My room in the Head Space is modeled after my favorite beach! I'm a writer, usually writing stories or poems in my head, in journals, or even on my computer. I consider myself an artist, though I may not actually like any of the art I create due to being too self-critical and having very intense feelings around the actual creation of art; AKA trauma.

Golden Retriever Puppy

If I was an animal this is the exact animal I would be, so I use it to represent my fursona in real life. We're all huge nerds and play Magic: The Gathering as well as Dungeons and Dragons. Nerdy roleplay thing is a huge passion of mine personally, as well as for a few others of us.

Hippie Dreaming is my playlist of songs that speak to my soul specifically, and this is the little graphic I made for it that makes me extremely happy. If you haven't noticed yet, we love making graphics and logos for everything!!

I'm excited to get to know the plural community and blog more about our experience. We also want to start uploading writing projects we have been working on. It'll be a wide variety as well!!

Meet Our Gatekeepers

Everyone Has A Job, or More Than One!! 

Our system is growing and since we are mentally ill, and getting larger, we all have multple roles and people in said roles. These five headmates are our Gatekeepers for our system. 

What's a Gatekeeper? Glad you asked. 

Every system is different but for ours, these are headmates that help with any paperwork we may have for the body, as well as inside our Head Space. They do a crap ton of remodeling for our Inner Worlds and our Simply Plural App. 

Kashna, our primary and first GK, handles memory and communication for our system. This means she is who makes sure everyone in the system knows what is happening in our bodies' life as well as communicates for us if we can't.

Caroline is our payroll GK. In our system, you get paid in benefits, prizes, time, and choices depending on how long you have been fronting. She keeps track of fronting times for everyone and allocating who gets what when for said time.

Theodore, or rather Theo, is our Inner World Construction GK. Meaning that when our Head Space needs to be remolded he does just that. He also helps individuals figure out their room aesthetics and helps make them what the person desires them to be if necessary.

Prudence, Prue for short, is a paperwork GK for our Simply Plural App. She also makes sure people, new or not, have their basic information on themselves and others known. She also is an Emotional GK, keeping hold of our emotions so we so not explode.

Meet Our Co-Hosts

What's a Co-Host??

To answer that question we must understand what a Host is. At least what it means for Vortex.

A Host is a Head Mate who is most active, most responsible for day-to-day activities, and/or is otherwise fronting the most often comparatively. 

Often the Host is referred to as the person who was born into the body, and had the trauma done to them, causing them to split and create one or multiple Head Mates. Hosts can change. 

Our Original Host has been stunted as our Primary Little, so she is not the most active nor does she handle our daily lives. So our Hosts changed, really early on in our lives. 

Kashna and Xenelith both took over being Hosts at an early age in our lives, even if we were unaware of it till early adulthood. Since both of these Head Mates fill the required responsibilities of what a Host is they both have the title of Co-Host. 

Currently these two are training other people to be Co-Hosts alongside them, since it has just been them the last 22 years as Hosts. 

We are calling the group of trainees C.H.I.T's, standing for Co-Hosts In Training.

Life Saving Apps

Simply Plural and Plural Kit

As a system it is crucial for all of us to be able to keep track of our individual information and who is fronting in the body at any given moment.

We want to be able to not only message each other in our system, but also have our friends know who is speaking to them.

These apps make it possible with their features.

Simply Plural: Shared Tracking

This app is my number one reccomendation for people with plurality of any kind. It allows you to add as many Head Mates as wanted, and make groups for then to belong to. Each individual gets their own profile to customize however they would like, and fill out information you add for them in order to get to know them better. Members can even leave messages for specific people on their profile, or notes on their board.

You have the ability to set people to the front, and even add statutes for the front. Any number of people can be fronting too! There's a section to see your most recent front history and even an anaylsis of how often certain people front and when they do. On their individual profiles, you can see Head Mates specific histories as well.

There's even a chat feature, where you can create different categories and channels, for all your members to chat with each other whenever they have the time. There's even a section to add polls for your members to answer questions from other members in your system.

The best part of Simply Plural, other than the ability to customize Head Mates profiles, are the privacy buckets you can assign to your friends. This means certain things can be shared with certain people, depending on your comfort level.

Plural Kit: Discord Messaging

When in a Discord Server you can have lots of different bots that all do different things. PluralKit is a bot specifically designed to help plural people be able to show who is texting, and even allows the ability for multiple people in your system to text at once if needed or wanted.

You can have as many people in your PluralKit Dashboard. Each person has a certain proxy tag, that allows you to shorthead type. Then when you hit send it will show their own profile picture you have set up. You can also add any descriptions for the people in their profiles.

Cohesive Apps that Work Together

Both Simply Plural and PluralKit work together and can be used at the same time, for similar things. Thank you to these amazing creators.

Who's The Tattoo Crew??

Our Core 4 AKA The Tattoo Crew

As a system, in our early days of knowing, we wanted to solidify that we need to work together as a system; because we are a system. During that time there was only 4 of us, at least known.

To show our commitment to each other we got a tattoo of all our initials on the body's thigh. Hence why the rest of our system calls us four The Tattoo Crew.

Little Liv: Rainbow Dash

Original Host and Primary Little

With all the trauma we have endured our original host has been kept at a little age. She is our primary little and often is the first person new headmates meet when arriving. She looks the way we did at a young age, and would prefer to be represented by Rainbow Dash; her favorite pony from MLP: Friendship Is Magic.

Kashna: Blonde Hippie

Co-Host, Primary Gatekeeper, and Primary Persecutor

Our primary person fronting usually, and our first line of defense with new people and new information. She does most of the work for our system in all honesty, along with her sibling Xe. She may look the happiest but don't let that fool you, she holds most of our anxiety and depression; but does try her best to stay joyful.

Xenelith: Demon Prince

Co-Host, Primary Agressor and Protector, and Persecutor

(It/It's)

Our second and last Co-Host, who fronts just as often as Kashna. Nickname Xena or Xe, it does the most advocating for our boundaries and needs; as well as advocates for basic respect. Xena is a non-human headmate, showing it's looks as a gothic demon or dæmon.

UK: Old Man

Primary Caregiver and First Introject

Caregiving comes naturally to UK, whose name originally stood for UnKnown. Now it's an inside joke with the system that UK stands for United Kingdom since he was our first British headmate. Being an introject of The Doctor from Doctor Who, he makes sure we stay safe; especially if you are a little of our system. Even though The Doctor canonically has been white most of our life, till the 15th Doctor, UK has always been black in our Head Space.

Our System as of Now

37 and Counting 😆

We are an ever-growing system due to new traumatic experiences and endless exploration of ourselves and our Inner Worlds. Therapy!

We have 37 Head Mates as of right now, but that could change at any moment it seems like.

The core 4, who have been here pretty much our whole lives, are known as The Tattoo Crew.

Here is a graphic of all of us in the order of our Simply Plural creation dates, showing what we look like in our Head Space at least.

As we grow this blog each person, who wants to, will introduce themselves specifically as well as share what it is they do for our system; maybe even share what their rooms look like!

The Vortex System

So let's actually unpack it.

We are Vortex, an OSDD 1-b traumagenic, pro-endo, system of 30+ headmates that want a safe space for all of us to have a social media platform to express who we are, especially who we are as individuals. That's alot for all of us.

Vortex as a whole is a white Kitsune with blood red tips on our multple tails. Some of us specifically have different fursonas then that tho

We are practicing polytheistic pagan of 22 years, having grown up in a færy tradition.

We are an expecting Mama, married, and 22 y.o. Queer and Poly. Our pronouns are They/Them unless otherwise specified in a particular post.

We so not accept any hatred or bigotry on our blog towards any group whatsoever!!

Can't wait to get posting about our specific journey as Vortex and as who we are in our HeadSpace!
