I don't want to start depression posting or venting online, but there's simply a level of recognition that a single like on that type of post gives me that can never be found in journaling, or in talking to someone that can directly reply.

alright, I've put together a paper pattern + obtained materials for a prototype by my mother, along with her older sewing machine she doesn’t use anymore

I want a paper republic voyager so bad it's actually painful, but also if i were to get one i'd want a personalized one, but even if I had the cash, I have no idea how it would work...

what if I made one out of canvas? and slowly figured out how to use it? and maybe one day, when I can afford one, I'll know exactly what I need/want and how i would use it...

i watched abou half of Memories of a Murder tonight, and I knew I liked murder mysteries about a small team tasked to solve the murder with limited resources, but I didn’t realize how much I liked it exactly until now.

it's not that the cops in MoaM are very likable, half of them are straight up vile, but I love when a story explores the personality of the investigators without necessarily giving them family drama related to the murder.

and i guess that's what made Longlegs kind of meh for me, it just doesn't have enough characters for them to be able to be flashed out just with their relationships to one another. it felt like such a let down when I watched it, but only now I can really tell what I was missing.

I'm so fucking tired of fandom queers acting like their smut is such a superior piece of fiction when compared to the smut of cishet women on booktok, as if fandom(and queer in general) smut isn't just as racist, misogynistic, fatphobic and poorly written

and not in the sense that they are both inherently any of those things, but because they both have the same capacity of being all of those things, and acting like one is inherently better when the only difference is that you don’t have the guts to barely disguise the fanfic and put it up on ku is so annoying it makes my hands itch

at least get some cash with that sense of unearned superiority

or pay your fucking writers

because one thing you can say about the booktok girlies is that their favorite writers' bills STAY payed with their barely edited, poorly disguised self insert fanfics
