Flora the Witch loves spoiling her with pizza leftovers and herbs from her garden. It's ok, that's a perfectly balanced diet for gnomes.

The Gang Gets a Tank

The Gnome Gang has been tormenting the inhabitants of Tuscany since the world went into eternal night. They are chaotic, annoying and mildly dangerous. Probably a tiny bit more of a threat now that they have learned how to make bombs.

They feel compelled to steal and every now and then set things on fire... but like most of the monsters and demons roaming the world of the Dark-Dark Ages, they are not evil, just complicated. As you would be if you were a spawn from Hell itself. These guys are featured as the first boss of our game Slice&Bite

This is Freddo, one of the main vendors of Slice & Bite. You can see him at different crossroads of the game, selling some unique gelato flavors. He is very clearly not a member of the living anymore, but what he is exactly no one knows for sure. He has a kind demeanor, a bit reserved, and is accompanied by a crowsquito that made the mistake of sucking his blood. She has never been the same after that. You can see we explored a few options before going for this Edward Scissorhands sort of vibe. We love Freddo and we are thinking of making a comic about him.

Hey, I’m trying to learn how indie games get made—how did you put your team together?

Honestly just happenstance! In the past we've had some luck finding people on indiedb, but if you're working for free, finding friends interested in games is the best way to go. There are other forums and discords to find teams, but from what I saw and heard, you gotta be really lucky and probably try out a few before finding a fit. Good luck!

"All my blueprints... GONE!!"

Finished a new illustration of Uncle Pippo panicking about getting all his precious Non Functional Trinkets blueprints stolen by a band of Gnomes.

Been improving the behaviours on our basic enemy, the Crowsquito. It’s not super obvious but you can see them trying to avoid the bullets. They are still pretty easy to kill though.

Meet Slice&Bite’s cast! This is Uncle Pippo. He is a wacky engineer and keeps your possessed carriage in shape. Once upon a time he was a Royal Engineer, but now he is content living in the basement making tiny automatons, clocks and other devices. His greatest dream is to build a flying machine. Here we are with another character from Slice & Bite! This is Flora and she is a witch.🧙‍♀️ She works in the pizzeria as a waitress because Cosimo’s parents let her use the garden where she grows plants for potions, but she hates waitressing. The cat is not really a cat but someone that fell into one of her morphing traps. Probably a gnome, but no way of telling for sure yet.
