Archipelago is a free cozy sci-fi game about running a tea shop. It's short, sweet, and full of lore! and different options. What tea you brew affects who comes in and what kind of mood they're in.
I loved! and still have a few playthroughs to complete...
Iconoclasts is an indie 2D open-world platformer game. It is the masterwork of indie developer Joakim Sandberg, seven long years in the making. You play as Robin, our silent protagonist who just wishes to be a mechanic and help those that needed fixing. However, without a license, she is seen akin to a criminal in the world of Iconoclasts. After some hijinks here and there, Robin finds herself in a problem that’s bigger than her and the entire world.
Alongside Robin, you meet titular characters that will serve as your playable companions as you play through the game. Mina, one of the first playable characters that you meet in the game. She is described as a pirate with a strong odor to pair. Royal, the current Progeny, and in line to become Father of the One Concern. Although unplayable, Royal does assist you through hard battles through the use of his powers. And lastly Robin’s brother, Elro, a bitter ex-chemist, that accompanies Robin later in her journey against bad forces.
Iconoclasts is an amazing game, with great 16-bit pixelated visuals that will amaze you, deep long hours of multiple boss fights that will sure to challenge you, and big open world free to explore and platform through puzzles and monsters that stand in your way. And its story, while I have not been able to fully piece it all together through my runs of the game, it has an overarching theme of religion, indoctrination, faith, beliefs, and justice as you move your way through the game.
Iconoclasts is long. With each region having a maximum of two-three bosses to beat and that’s not even counting the puzzles and platforming you have to do to head to them and the next storyline! But that’s not to discourage anyone who wishes to play it, in fact, part of the charm of Iconoclasts is its explorative world. With different things to interact with, different people to talk to, side quests, treasures to find and unlock, and even, secret bosses to beat.
Another reason to play (and fall in love with) Iconoclasts is its very unique characters. Each with storylines and interesting personalities that you will love as you progress. Our main characters are different in their own ways. Robin, kind and cheerful but she holds a secret deep in her heart. Mina, a bit of a clown, hard-headed but caring and sweet. Royal, arrogant and pompous, but deep down, he is lonely and a tad bit ignorant. And Elro, bitter and pessimistic, but it is evident that he cares deeply for his family and his sister. Even side characters don’t escape the treatment, as they have hilarious personalities that will make you laugh out loud when you interact with them (Ex. One Concern Soldiers).
TLDR: Iconoclasts delivers awesome action, hilarious hijinks and an emotional rollercoaster of deeply personal storytelling that you will surely enjoy! 10/10 would always replay.

Been improving the behaviours on our basic enemy, the Crowsquito. It’s not super obvious but you can see them trying to avoid the bullets. They are still pretty easy to kill though.
