Cold

HOLY SHIT I'M ALIVE. U will probably not hear from me for another month tbh and I'm just posting this sub par one shot lmao, shit has been busy.

As always I take one shot requests!

The turtles had rescued you, one of Shredder's many experiments, not too long ago. Despite their welcoming habits and care, the nightmares of your once personal hell stuck with you. Thankfully, Raph always seemed to be there for you, even if it was in the smallest of ways.

“You can’t hide forever, number VI.”

Gasping, I jolted upright from my sleeping position. Clutching my chest, I shakily took in a breath, struggling to control my rapid heart rate. I anxiously ran my hands through my hair, sighed, then swung my legs over the side of the bed. I winced as I placed my bare feet onto the cold concrete floor of the sewer, the bitter cold shocking my senses. Quietly, I made my way out of the small room and into the main room of the lair. The air was chilly, nipping at my exposed skin to which I wrapped my arms around my chest for warmth. It was deathly quiet in the lair which was usually full of playful yells and laughter.

“Why’re you up?” A voice called from behind me.

I turned to face Raph, leaned against the doorway of his room. 

"I could ask you the same. Have you been stalking me?" I let out a low laugh.

He rolls his eyes, "No, I heard you walking around, I'm a light sleeper." 

"Well I'm fine so you can go back to bed." I assure him, another shiver running through me.

He catches this and quirks an eyebrow. "You're cold?" 

I shrug "Just a bit, sewers have bad insulation go figure." I joke. 

Thinking he will reply with his own witty remark I prepare another in turn, only to be surprised as he disappears from view into his room. I know he isn't one for conversation but to just abruptly leave? Rude. I sigh and began to head back to my room when I felt something warm and soft draped around my shoulders. Turning, Raph's face meets mine once again, this time a sheepish look on his. "Here, to um, help with the cold." 

His cheeks are stained a darker green as he takes a step back.

"Thanks…" I murmured in surprise, it was not usual for him to express any affection and yet here he was, trying to keep me warm. 

He shrugged off my thanks, and walked back to his room, this time not emerging again. I'm left standing there in a bit of a stupor. I pulled the blanket, which I now noticed to be a dark shade of maroon, tighter around me. Against my better judgment I buried my face within it, the strong scent of cologne hitting my nose. Walking back to my room I buried myself in it, completely engulfed in the scent of him. Suddenly I felt a lot calmer, soothed by the feeling of his lingering presence. Maybe tonight I will be able to rest. Just maybe.

Guys I am so burnt out from school and work, free meee T^T

I want to work on shit so bad but I have quite literally been swamped in schoolwork and actual work. I have such a good prompt for a TMNT x Reader oneshot but no time or energy to write it T^T

Since idk when I will post again all I can offer is this fun little prompt I came up with: So basically the turtles get captured by Big Mama(this is based off of the rise series) and in your attempt to go save your bf(I haven't totally decided yet but it will probably be Leo) and his brothers you seek alternative ways to increase your strength so you can actually go up against mutants and be successful. You end up seeking help from Draxum and the only offer he gives you is less than optimal to say the least. He wants to test the same experiment that created the turtles on you, arguing that this benefits both of you since he will get to see if he actually can recreate it and you will get the strength you were looking for. He's pretty sure it will go fine...mostly. You accept the offer, having no other options.

Touch Starved(Cole x Gender Neutral Reader)

Omg I finally finished it thank god T^T Took me a bit but is done, it's short and not my greatest piece but I still like it enough to post it lol

This takes place after the episode special where Cole regains his physical form, with his newfound powers he is afraid of hurting the reader with his strength and the unpredictability the new power holds.

It had been weeks since Cole had recovered his physical form. If I’m being completely honest I had expected a happy and hug filled reunion, we hadn’t been able to touch each other for months after all. But this was not the case. As his new powers developed he seemed to stray further away from me, I couldn’t understand it and at first all I felt was hurt. I felt like I was getting mixed signals constantly. We would be talking and he’d give me a warm smile which I would return but as soon as I reached for his hand he would retract it, nervously laugh, and then make up some excuse to leave. The weeks passed by painfully as I grew impatient. I wanted to give him space if that was what he needed but the lack of communication was killing me. I started to see him less and less, he would skip training and it wasn’t often that I ever even saw him leave his room. 

Eventually I had enough, I needed to know what was going on or it was going to drive me crazy. 

It was late, sometime shortly after we had all finished dinner. I stood before his closed door, gathering the courage to just knock and get it over with. I sighed, gently knocking on the door. There was the sound of shuffling feet as he approached the door and finally opened it. Upon seeing me a look of surprise appeared on his face. “Uh y/n what are you..? What are you doing here?”

He asks with a nervous smile, as usual. I cross my arms, “I’m here to hang out, I want to talk.”

Before he could even get the chance to respond I pushed past him into his room, situating myself on the edge of his bed. “O-ohhkayy…” 

He mutters, shutting the door behind him. I cut straight to the point. “Why have you been avoiding me?” I ask bluntly.

His eyes widen in shock as he objects, “I-I haven’t been avoiding you-”

I rolled my eyes, “Cole you won’t even hold my hand let alone stand near me for more than two minutes.” 

He looks away from me, not able to meet my eyes. “I don’t understand, we haven’t been able to hug for months because of the incident and now that you have your physical form back it-it’s like- you’re repulsed by me or something!” 

I choked back a sob, I had been hoping to keep my composure during the conversation but I was already faltering. I could hear him groan from across the room, glancing over at him to see him drag his hands across his face in frustration. It was silent for a bit and I started considering just leaving but thankfully he finally broke the silence. “I didn’t mean to…it’s just these new powers, I-.” He pauses, looking down at his hands as they begin to glow, “I don’t want to hurt you…” 

I looked over at him, eyes softening. “Cole, you would never hurt me, I know you wouldn’t.” I assure him.

He sighs, his eyes glistening, “I can’t control them…they’re so unpredictable and new and I just-” Now he’s the one choking back a sob.

My heart aches and I move across the room to him, pulling him into my arms. He hesitates, arms in the air, holding his breath, still scared to touch me. He eventually lowers them around me, slowly. Once he grows comfortable enough and realizes I’m fine he buries his head into the crook of my neck, eyes squeezed shut. “God I missed you…I missed this.” He croaks, still holding back tears. 

“I missed you too Cole.” I mumble softly into his hair, breathing him in.

Without warning, I feel myself being lifted off of the ground, a small, surprised yelp escaping my mouth. Cole carried me over to the bed laying me down. I shimmied under the comforter and waited patiently as he followed suit. As we lay there I reached for his hand, pressing my palm against his. His hand began to glow again, causing him to try to pull away but I interlocked my hand with his, marveling at the light emanating from it. He watched me, holding in a breath. 

“It’s…warm…” I mused before placing a small kiss on his knuckle. 

He watched me in amazement before a smile spread on his face and he leaned down to kiss me.

“I love you.” He mumbled through the kiss.

“I love you too.”
