Luz’s expression as she’s properly seeing Hunter’s new scars for the first time after the possession is so heartbreaking…Like, we already know she feels responsible for Flapjack’s death, because she didn’t believe Hunter when he told her Belos was there, I can only imagine how horrible she must feel staring at his scarred face, not to mention his empty yet deeply sad expression :(

okay, I kinda get why some people think Luz is getting her palisman in that new ‘for the future’ snippet. It totally makes sense! But hear me out, I feel like it might not be that…I think it could be something different, perhaps a scene taking place in someone’s mind instead. The staff just looks too big and wide to actually be a staff…anyway, here’s why I think this might be a scene in someone’s (most likely Hunter’s) mindscape instead of the palisman-staff thing.

This is what Bo Coburn (one of the directors of ‘Thanks To Them’) posted after the episode came out:

“For Flapjack…See you in our memories.”

You can see Hunter’s mask from ‘Thanks To Them’ here, Flapjack’s staff and a forest that is obviously meant to be a mindscape considering the caption of the post (see you in our memories). Since Flapjack is in Hunter’s mindscape now (just like the palismen Belos consumed were in his mindscape) that could mean the gang travels into Hunter’s mindscape and sees some of his or Flapjack’s past (-> memories of Caleb, Evelyn and Philip, memories of Hunter’s childhood, if he even ever had one, or his time in the coven, and so on…)

See what I’m getting at? It all looks so similar…

(Also, Luz is alone in this particular shot, which could mean SHE’S in Hunter’s mind, possibly alone…)

here’s your reminder that Eugene fought several Cassandra clones at once and won, AND also outran them all in ‘Islands Apart’

I’ll never get over Flapjack’s death, or over the way he died. Ever. He was Hunter’s first friend, and always stood by his side, no matter what, when he needed him the most. But the thing is, Hunter still needs Flapjack, now more than ever. After what happened in ‘Thanks To Them’ from Belos returning to him tormenting and then possessing Hunter, to changing his hair back to how HE wants it to be, to literally making Hunter KILL his best friend…Hunter needs Flapjack…Their last on-screen conversation was painful to say the least, it wasn’t a gentle chat about how much they care about each other, it was Hunter(or rather Belos) ordering him angrily to steal the rebus from Amity and the others. When Flapjack last saw Hunter, he was possessed by Belos, the man he tried SO hard to get away from, and then he had a last small glimpse of him when Belos left his body again. He was pale and unconscious, close to death with new, big scars littering his face and body…And let’s not forget that Hunter must’ve been aware of the fact that Belos was using HIS hand to crush Flapjack, since he stopped him from completely killing the bird by clutching his right arm to get him to release him. That means he knows what Belos made him do, and that makes it all the more painful for Hunter. I don’t even want to elaborate on the Flapjack sacrificing himself for Hunter thing, because it’s heartbreaking to even THINK about it. Hunter lost his best friend, his closest friend and the person he could always rely on. Belos made his hair grow back, but there’s nothing good about it. Flapjack isn’t there to chirp and playfully pull on his forelock anymore, so all it is is a reminder that he’s ‘still just a clone of Caleb who doesn’t deserve any love or the ability to live his own life and make his own choices’, according to Belos. Flapjack’s death is one of the most devastating deaths under the most horrible circumstances in any movie or series I have ever watched, and neither Hunter nor Flapjack deserved this. If they don’t bring him back in ‘For The Future’ or ‘Watching And Dreaming’ my heart will never heal from this. Okay it probably won’t heal anyway because Hunter cried thrice in ‘Thanks To Them’ but still

ohh, that’s a really good idea! I can totally see that, especially combined with the fact that Belos forcefully made Hunter’s hair grow back to the way it was before (even a bit longer) he cut it, to remind him that he can’t be his own person…that he’ll always be Belos’ possession, a clone of Caleb…

okay so did Belos make Hunter tie his jacket around his waist because he wanted space for his arms so it’d be easier to attack the others with them or because he wanted to mock Hunter for trying to be a normal teenager and trying to enjoy his life for once by wearing a wolf shirt because he loves wolves☹️
