Thinking about making Superman art before the movie comes out and my tiny brain just loves the idea of Clark having a "country" charm to him. I don't know how to explain it because I'm not American but small things like having imperfect teeth because he couldn't get braces, not that I'd know if it's even humanly possible for him to have braces but the sentiment still stands. I know a lot of Superman media likes to have Clark wear ill-fitting clothes but there has to be more quirks we can give him to make him seem less "perfect man" and more average dude.

God please give me awkward dorky Clark Kent and have Superman be the coolest man alive.

Hellboy sketch I started a long time ago and I still don't know what I'll do with it.

I don't know if I want to give the vampire lady bat wings as a reference to The Amazing Screw-On Head since I drew her pretty similar to the vamp lady there.

The background is definitely not final, I have no idea what I'm doing with it.

Batman Redesigns

Woah, I actually finished this.

A few notes,

Bruce primarily wears dark blues and blacks, sometimes he'll wear grey for contrast

To contrast Bruce, Harv wears warmer tones especially reds. (A red suit in court would be so cool to see)

Jonathan works as a professor in Gotham University (hence the jacket). I purposely made his colors a lot duller compared to the other guys just to stand out more

Two-Face's colors are purposely patriotic too and I like the more colorful renditions of his suit since the black and white are too plain especially with the pink I picked for the other side of his face.

Scarecrow's design was more rag doll inspired than actual scarecrow and I thought it would be cool if he used the hat pins as a back up weapon

I could go on about more design choices but these are only portraits. I'll make full body renditions eventually but for now, have this.

Silly art from a while back

Baka Mitai Terra was a wild dream to have and even wilder to have actually drawn. This was made some years ago and it's insane to me how detailed I got despite not really knowing how to digitally paint

I just needed to sketch out Octavio in a barong as a warm up. Getting back into drawing digitally consistently has been pretty fun but my wrists are not happy with me 😔

How is the presence of Batman in Gotham turning a bunch of college professors, highly respected scientists into murderous villains ?

Are those jobs truly that bad that they're enough to drive a teacher insane to the point of probably gas their entire class of freshman 😭

Maybe it's the youth of Gotham we should be blaming and not Batman himself cause I remember reading a BTAS comic about Scarecrow that genuinely disturbed me and I was so happy Jonathan Crane dealt with a creepy student

Sidenote, I don't think Crane is a terror prof as contradicting as that might sound since he's just a very very passionate man

Redesign update

A bit of an update on the DC stuff

Be honest with me, I feel like I've just gotten worse throughout this entire portrait practice. I don't even know if I like Crane's colors yet and his costume design still isn't right for me so I'd really like some feedback on things.

I'll probably also paint better portraits of them in the future along with a drawing a full body design for their costumes but now is not the time for that because I'm busy with school.

Learning to paint with gouache has not been easy but I really really really wanted to paint a guy in armour.

This is more of a quick painting than something I'm super proud of but hey, I think it looks decent enough
